Fabulous food and service! It doesn't matter who is your bartender, you'll always have a great time and eat fantastic food!

RIBS, PULLED PORK, TOTS AND MAC N CHEESE!
Malinda C.

Another Sunday Brunch review for 2. You could call this Big Back addition because there were no true healthy vegetables in sight. The flavors and combinations of how they made their sauce for the brussels sprouts. The little bit of cheese, the roasting, just perfectly. Those Brussels spouts were man. Oh, man, so so good. I mean, I was surprised there were any left at the end of lunch because they were so good. Then there was the deep fried pickles. Pickles are just something that you have to either love Em or you hate Em. But deep fried pickles are just that sour taste that I just have to have. I have to have a sweet and a sour and pickles are just that for us. So we enjoyed them. They were just crispy enpugh on the outside with just a nice firm bite of the pickle, tender. And then that bitterness was really good. And then our main meal came, and there is enough food on that platter for two people to share. So if you're getting it for one, you better be a hearty guy like you gotta be a lumberjack guy to eat this all by yourself. Because this is like a platterful. There is like 6 ribs on that plate, 2 mouds of the pulled pork, 2 big huge scoops of macaroni n cheese and like a bag of those tater tots, then they drizzle, drizzle, drizzle, barbecue sauce. All over it, it was just like mouthwatering. When it hit the table. It smelled so good, it was just amazing. And then we just dove in a little bit, tried this a little bit of that, the ribs fell off the bone. It was so good. Now the restaurant is small and looks like it is a locals kinda spot so it is semi loud with sports and men chopping it up, but there were ladies sitting at various tables and a couple of families so it is semi family friendly if you dont mind the bar aspect that is bigger than the eating area in my opinion. We only seen one staff member on the floor and one behind the bar while we were there, but the service was quick and the ladies were attentive so it was a good experience. The decor needs an update and it had a 4 out of 5 vibe for me, but I rate food not people so I would go back for that.

The server is great it's just the food, when you're paying 20 dollars for a burger. You would expect that the burger fresh. When the boss burger hit my table looks so sad and the patty was tried looks, taste just like a frozen mass produced patties. I know this is a bar, atleast make the food fresh. I had to use ketchup to consume the burger and the tots is so hard. Nothing here worth 20dollars.

Mcbelly Bomb sandwich w caesar salad side

Came to Twisted Pig Bar and Grill for a weekday dinner date and enjoyed the meal! Located along Coffee Road, Twisted Pig serves BBQ in a spacious bar with outdoor covered seating. It's perfect for hangouts with large groups. We ordered: Pigpen - This offers the most variety as you get 6 ribs, stacked like Lincoln logs and containing a mound of tater tots, mac n cheese and pulled pork. Each item was super good, but the tater tots did end up getting soggy from soaking up the mac n cheese. Mcbelly crispy pork belly sandwich - This sounded good on the menu, but ended up being a little too crispy for me personally. It did come with a huge helping of pork belly though. I also got this with a side Caesar as I needed some sort of green to offset all the bbq lol. Salad was great! Brisket sandwich - This was a bit on the dry side and needed more sauce/slaw. Rum & Coke - The SO said this was a good pour and enjoyed his drink. Service was standard. The lady who helped us was super nice and checked on us in a timely manner/provided us things as needed. Overall, we had a good dinner and a ton of leftovers. Wouldn't mind coming back to try some other items.

Dip Tip sandwich au jus with potato salad side

The Twisted Pig Bar and Grill in Modesto was our meet up place April 2. My wife and I met with her son to have a celebratory lunch for his birthday. To this spot of his choice , he drove an hour from the north and we drove our 125 miles from the south. The large u-shaped bar was medium busy, as was the dining area, and both were pleasantly and efficiently served by a friendly and helpful lady named Amy. This review is for the food service only as we did not partake of the libations being mixed and served nearby. My wife ordered the Dip Tip sandwich au jus, with potato salad for her included side. The sandwich was very good and the tri tip within was not dry as reported in some reviews. The jus made it even juicier. The potato salad, we all agreed was the star of the show. Don't miss it. Her son ordered the Boss Burger, and as you can see, it was huge. "DELICIOUS", he proclaimed. He had cole slaw which contained apple slices as his included side. After a short and helpful discussion with our server. I chose the Cuban Sandwich, as the "Cubano" when made traditionally, is my favorite sandwich in the world. This one, although billed as "traditional " didn't really qualify for that description. It was a good sandwich but not a good Cuban. I enjoyed it anyway. My side was a nicely made Caesar salad. We shared a bowl of delicious onion rings made with a nice light batter as opposed to the thick rock hard batter served In most places. We had a fun time with good food and service. If you haven't yet, try out The Twisted Pig. BTW, I love the name!

Cute bar , it was open seating. The service was pretty fast! We ordered the pig pen and the tri tip sandwich! 11/10! Everything was really delicious! The flavors of. Both plates were immaculate!

Love hanging out at "The Pig" Casual comfortable atmosphere for any occasion, lunch, after work cocktails, dinner and an evening nightcap! Food is always fresh and tasty. Jess is a fantastic bartender whose energy and good vibes welcome you while she always strives in making our experience a great one, she's attentive and goes the extra mile to ensure a great experience as a repeat customer!

Found our new comfort food spot! The menu has a lot to choose from sprinkled in with some awesome cocktails. BBQ made daily, ribs were all sold out for the day, but we found the tri-tip and brisket to be just as delicious. Appetizers and a lot of sides to choose from. Back patio was very nice and clean. Server was attentive and friendly. Let them know we will be coming back to try those ribs!

Wife was at work so kids brought me here for lunch in a rainy Saturday. It had been quite a while since I had been here. They were busy but service was fast and friendly. I got a bacon infused smash cheeseburger with fries. The fries were excellent and the cheeseburger absolutely huge and delicious. The cheese was a battered block of cheddar which I have never had before that made this taste like a grill cheeses sandwich inside an Hamburger very tasty and cool. We also had appetizers of pretzels which were of but a cheese stick but instead of regular batter they were Chinese style wrapper which was very interesting and quite good. I tried some of my daughter's au Jue dip sandwich and that was also very tasty. 4.5 service 4.5 for the food 4.5 for the ambiance

This made me laugh way to hard not to share

The food, two thumbs up! I know it's is odd to come to a barbq place looking for fish and chips but it came up in my Yelp search and thought I would give it a shot. I was not disappointed, will recommend this place but I will say this....we almost walked out, it is a seat yourself kind of place so make sure to get their attention! But, once they saw us it was all gravy! The servers were friendly and attentive. I will be coming back, maybe on Tuesday for the line dancing!

Kitchen Sink Burger, McBelly Bomb, Twisted Mac
Alycia D.

Overall the place was busy! A bar & dine in restaurant. They offer a variety of beers & mixed drinks. The BBQ & Burgers & appetizers all look and smell amazing. The service is very attentive. The mcbelly bomb which was tender & flavorful. The kitchen sink burger has crispy onion rings & cheese curds. My only complaints: The twisted mac was not worth it! The cheese sauce is very bland and doesn't taste like real cheese. Order anything else but the Mac n cheese! The bathrooms are unisex and don't have urinals, so drunk people from the bar are missing the toilets. Other than that the food and drinks are good!

Brussels sprouts

I came for the tots and ended up taking myself on a whole solo lunch date because they're THAT good. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, addictive little bites of happiness. And the Brussels sprouts?? I was not prepared. Sweet, savory, crispy perfection -- officially my new favorite. Twisted Pig never disappoints. 10/10 recommend treating yourself the way I just did.

I went today and I had the Gimme Chimme wrap. It was so juicy and delicious. I had half lunch and half for dinner. It was delicious. I also had the mac & cheese as my side topped with bacon. It was just delicious. my nephew had a fish and chips and it looked really good. He said it was. They had a bite and I can testify it but anyway if you get a chance, stop on bike good food good service. I'll definitely be back.

Donoby's - A Soft Spot in the Night…read more I walked into Donoby's tonight while waiting for the crowd across the street at Toriis to thin out, and honestly... I'm glad I did. This bar has an underrated, easygoing pulse that a lot of places try for but can't quite land. No shouting, no chaos, just gentle conversation, light laughter, and that familiar hum of people enjoying being out without needing to prove anything. The bartender, Amy, we actually sang "Broken" by Seether & Amy Lee together at karaoke here a couple weeks ago, pours with care. You can feel when someone takes pride in the small things, a clean pour, a quick smile, a read on the room. She has that. The crowd here tonight is relaxed. Mixed ages, no pressure, no edge. Just people unwinding from the week. It is a place where you can sit with a beer, breathe for a minute, and not feel like the world is tugging at you. Plenty of seating, the lighting is warm, the décor is classic without being stale, pool tables in good shape, and a vibe that makes you want to stay for just one more....because it is comfortable. That is rare. Donoby's isn't loud about who it is. It doesn't need to be. It just is....and that's what keeps a place alive. I'll be back.

I had a great experience here with my friends the service was great and so was the foodread more

I have left wonderful reviews in the past for this place but I have to share my experience…read morerecently. My boyfriend and I have been to Standard Pub several times during the day, and every visit has been fantastic. We've enjoyed the food, drinks, and even had the pleasure of speaking with the owner on multiple occasions. The service was always welcoming, and the food was consistently phenomenal. Because of those great experiences, we decided to bring some friends on a Saturday night. We arrived around 7:30 PM, and the atmosphere looked promising. There appeared to be a DJ setting up, and the crowd seemed excited for a night of music, food, and drinks. Unfortunately, our experience that evening was completely different from what we had come to expect. We ordered food and drinks, and while our server wasn't outright rude, he seemed uninterested in providing the level of service we had previously received. As the night went on, things became increasingly odd. Shortly after ordering another round of drinks, while our drinks were still full and we had just received them, the server approached our table and asked if we were finished. My boyfriend jokingly responded, "No, let me talk to your manager," and laughed, assuming the server was joking as well. The server responded, "Yeah, it's my brother," but with an attitude that left everyone at our table looking at each other wondering what had just happened. He then informed us that we needed to put a credit card on file. At that point, we had already been there for over an hour, and it seemed strange that this requirement was only being brought up then. We also noticed that no other tables around us were being asked for a card. The most disappointing part came when we received the bill. There was an additional $60 service charge added--$35 on my friends' bill and $25 on ours. Confused, we asked for an explanation. The explanations we received kept changing. First, we were told it was because my boyfriend was sitting with another group, which was completely false. Then we were told it was because the bill exceeded $100. After that, we were told it was because there were more than six people in our party, despite there only being four of us. The inconsistent explanations were frustrating and made it feel as though the staff were simply making up reasons to justify the charge. Our issue wasn't necessarily with a service fee itself--it was the lack of disclosure and the conflicting stories we were given when we asked about it. To make matters worse, the receipt also included a separate line for an additional tip. After discussing it with them and explaining that additional charges should be clearly communicated to customers, the service charge was ultimately removed. This review is not a reflection of the food, which remains excellent, nor of our previous experiences at Standard Pub. It is solely based on the service and handling of the situation during our Saturday night visit. We left feeling disappointed and confused, especially because this establishment had earned our trust through many positive visits in the past. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident and that management addresses these issues so other customers don't have a similar experience

Inside room is ok, a bit cold feeling with concrete counters, floors, etc. There were several groups at the bar, 3-4 guys on one end, 2 guys at the other, so I sat in the middle. The first red flag was the female bartender, who was dressed in sweats and a ball cap, like she had just rolled out of bed. Very unprofessional, even for a beer/pub. She seemed disinterested in serving me and was more concerned about talking with the 4 guys. Then another guy & girl joined that group. They all knew one another, obviously regulars. The beer list was decent and well-balanced. 4 IPAs, a couple of Pils/Lager and Stout/Porters, Hazy IPAs, Cider/Selzer, and 4 grocery store beers: Coors Light, Modelo, Bud Light, and ? IPAs were from Henhouse, Drakes, Dust Bowl, and ? Large food menu for such a small place. From the bar, you can easily watch the cook on the flattop. After reading the list of sandwiches, I figured the turkey/ham/etc. was the Sysco-type, inexpensive kind, so I opted for a cheeseburger. Burger & fries arrived on a metal sheet pan. The burger looked good, and the fries looked a bit undercooked (not golden brown). Bun was toasted on the flattop and had a bit of mayo, no mustard, ketchup, etc. Fries came with a small 1oz thimble of ranch. As I suspected, the fries were undercooked. I cut the burger in half, and the center was undercooked. Then I noticed the burger patty was actually two thin patties pressed together. WTF? First bite was a warning- the meat had no seasoning and tasted like cardboard. Thankfully, I got a second beer and washed down the burger. Only ate half of the burger. I'm guessing they sell a lot of booze, because there is no way people are going for the food. I wouldn't be surprised if this place is closed by the end of 2026.

I would give it 5 stars for the friendly service! But I had to knock off 2 stars because what I ordered was not very good. I ordered the Thai tacos and they offered a low-carb version on a bed of lettuce instead of tortillas. The presentation was nice and I know they really tried, but it was pretty bad. The sauce tasted more like ketchup and did not taste like a Thai sauce at all. It was supposed to have chopped peanuts in it but it hardly had any. The chopped chicken pieces were drowned out by the ketchup tasting sauce. I thought there would be more avocado on it but there was only a tiny piece on each taco and they chose a bad avocado because the avocado was turning brown with stringy fiber in it. I couldn't eat it after a few bites. On the other hand hubby had fish and chips which he liked. The french fries were good. So my dish was a bomb while hubby's was decent and predictable. I would return if I'm in the area because the service is so friendly and nice, but I would not order that again. I would try something more mainstream that's hard to botch up like maybe a hamburger or a sandwich.
