My first time visiting Twisted Pig was a fantastic experience. The menu looked like it had a lot of good options, and our waitress, Lauran, was helpful enough to take the time to give me a great recommendation. She suggested the brisket fries and the Prize Pig burger, both of which were excellent. She was very friendly and always smiling, and even though it was busy, she still provided excellent service. Today I took a friend out to the Twisted Pig for a meal. This review is first my impressions, followed by his. First, we were seated promptly (outside, as the inside was full). This worked fine for us. We had our menus and drinks in a reasonable time and had a relaxing time throughout. We both had the pulled pork sandwich along with the ice tea. I also had the cup of chili (nicely spiced). I enjoyed my sandwich (skipping the bun, as I am trying to limit carbs). My friend, whom I realized often fusses about the meals we share, was more critical. His comments were "Wrong bun, hamburger bun shoulda been an onion bun" and "How long does it take to make a sandwich?" (The wait time was totally reasonable to me.) He didn't like the potato salad (but ate it all with little time spared). He liked the meat in the sandwich, giving it a 5 out of 5. He liked the service less (I felt it was on point and just fine.) The twisted pig is a good place to eat, if it is noisy inside (as it often is) check out the patio. read more

My first visit was a few weeks ago. We sat out on the back patio, and the manager was fantastic. There was a large group of us, and she did an excellent job making sure everyone was taken care of. Unfortunately, my dining experience wasn't as positive. I waited almost an hour and a half for my meal, and by the time it arrived, everyone else in my party had nearly finished eating. Since it took so long, I ended up taking the food home. I did try it later, but I wasn't very impressed. That may have been because the food was cold by the time I ate it, as it sat for quite a while before it was brought to me. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed in our experience here with food and service. We started off with the sampler platter that had fried pickles, mozzarella sticks & chicken wings. The fried pickles were so stringy, it pretty much was just salty fried batter. The sauce with that was also very spicy. The mozzarella sticks were full of air, and again way too much batter and not enough product, (cheese or pickle). The wings were pretty good. What killed it for me was my tri tip sandwich. The tri tip was over cooked and was drenched in sauce that tasted like manwich sauce! I hate manwich sauce it was DISGUSTING, I took one bite and put it back down. My Mac and cheese was also not good, I'll just leave it at that. Our waiter was new, so I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he was 0 stars, no refills, didn't check on us and took forever to order and collect the check. If you go on a Sunday, there's a big football crowd and it's going to be super loud. Maybe that was my mistake was expecting it to be a restaurant versus a bar just serving food. read more

What has happened at the Pig? We went there tonight and only one other table and two people at the bar! We ordered sodas for our table. After 10-15 minutes of not receiving them and not seeing any bartender or servers, I went looking to see if something had happened. What I found was the bartender/server hiding around the corner texting on her cell phone! Caught her off guard and she set her phone down real quickly and said something like oh yea your drinks! I told her to just forget it and we all walked out when you basically have no patrons and you are having people walk out, that is the start of your business going under! Management needs to send that worker to the unemployment line ASAP. read more

Came here during lunch for a staff birthday. Since I arrived before everyone, I got a chance to look at the menu for a good amount of time. So many things I wanted to try! And I've been here a few times and always enjoyed their food. For today, J got the beef brisket sandwich with fries. I thought the meat was cooked nicely. Very large pieces stacked with grill onions. There is a bit of fat on some of the brisket. When you bite into the brisket, it usually doesn't separate easily so I notice I was eating and swallowing large pieces. There is Cole slaw and BBQ sauce on the side along with pickles. I thought that sandwich was delicious and I pretty much ate the whole thing. Went back to work feeling sleepy and full. There was only one waitress who worked the bar and took everyone's order. Took awhile for us to get our order in (one hour lunch) so that's the only gripe I had was after we got our drinks, it took awhile for our waitress to get our orders. Came to Twisted Pig Bar and Grill for a weekday dinner date and enjoyed the meal! Located along Coffee Road, Twisted Pig serves BBQ in a spacious bar with outdoor covered seating. It's perfect for hangouts with large groups. We ordered: Pigpen - This offers the most variety as you get 6 ribs, stacked like Lincoln logs and containing a mound of tater tots, mac n cheese and pulled pork. Each item was super good, but the tater tots did end up getting soggy from soaking up the mac n cheese. Mcbelly crispy pork belly sandwich - This sounded good on the menu, but ended up being a little too crispy for me personally. It did come with a huge helping of pork belly though. I also got this with a side Caesar as I needed some sort of green to offset all the bbq lol. Salad was great! Brisket sandwich - This was a bit on the dry side and needed more sauce/slaw. Rum & Coke - The SO said this was a good pour and enjoyed his drink. Service was standard. The lady who helped us was super nice and checked on us in a timely manner/provided us things as needed. Another Sunday Brunch review for 2. You could call this Big Back addition because there were no true healthy vegetables in sight. The flavors and combinations of how they made their sauce for the brussels sprouts. The little bit of cheese, the roasting, just perfectly. Those Brussels spouts were man. Oh, man, so so good. I mean, I was surprised there were any left at the end of lunch because they were so good. Then there was the deep fried pickles. Pickles are just something that you have to either love Em or you hate Em. But deep fried pickles are just that sour taste that I just have to have. I have to have a sweet and a sour and pickles are just that for us. So we enjoyed them. They were just crispy enpugh on the outside with just a nice firm bite of the pickle, tender. And then that bitterness was really good. And then our main meal came, and there is enough food on that platter for two people to share. So if you're getting it for one, you better be a hearty guy like you gotta be a lumberjack guy to eat this all by yourself. Because this is like a platterful. There is like 6 ribs on that plate, 2 mouds of the pulled pork, 2 big huge scoops of macaroni n cheese and like a bag of those tater tots, then they drizzle, drizzle, drizzle, barbecue sauce. All over it, it was just like mouthwatering. When it hit the table. It smelled so good, it was just amazing. And then we just dove in a little bit, tried this a little bit of that, the ribs fell off the bone. It was so good. Now the restaurant is small and looks like it is a locals kinda spot so it is semi loud with sports and men chopping it up, but there were ladies sitting at various tables and a couple of families so it is semi family friendly if you dont mind the bar aspect that is bigger than the eating area in my opinion. We only seen one staff member on the floor and one behind the bar while we were there, but the service was quick and the ladies were attentive so it was a good experience. The server is great it's just the food, when you're paying 20 dollars for a burger. You would expect that the burger fresh. When the boss burger hit my table looks so sad and the patty was tried looks, taste just like a frozen mass produced patties. I know this is a bar, atleast make the food fresh. We're relatively new in town and saw the Twisted Pig van parked in front of the bank and decided that looked good. We took to Yelp, found the location and headed over for our first visit. Indoor and outdoor seating, full bar, decent beer selection so we were off to a good start. There was just one bartender working the entire dining room but she was very friendly and attentive. This review is for the food service only as we did not partake of the libations being mixed and served nearby. My wife ordered the Dip Tip sandwich au jus, with potato salad for her included side. The sandwich was very good and the tri tip within was not dry as reported in some reviews. The jus made it even juicier. The potato salad, we all agreed was the star of the show. Don't miss it. Her son ordered the Boss Burger, and as you can see, it was huge. "DELICIOUS", he proclaimed. He had cole slaw which contained apple slices as his included side. After a short and helpful discussion with our server. I chose the Cuban Sandwich, as the "Cubano" when made traditionally, is my favorite sandwich in the world. This one, although billed as "traditional " didn't really qualify for that description. It was a good sandwich but not a good Cuban. I enjoyed it anyway. My side was a nicely made Caesar salad. We shared a bowl of delicious onion rings made with a nice light batter as opposed to the thick rock hard batter served In most places. We had a fun time with good food and service. Came in Saturday 8/1 for an early lunch with my family, there was six of us, including my nephew. We were greeted right away and chose to sit at the booths. The restaurant was busy and the bar was full. I noticed only one server/bartender working. And she was doing amazing. Any refills, sauces, forks etc- she brought them out without us having to ask. My hubby and I really enjoy the food at this establishment. The quality and variety are great and the portions are well worth the price! I usually get the yummy mutha clucker chicken sandwich (even though I blush every time I say the name when ordering it, lol!). It's a delicious blend of savory and spicy. The fried chicken breast is huge and quite tasty, and the coleslaw on it helps tame the heat from the buffalo sauce and jalapeños. It's on a toasted brioche bun and comes with your choice of a side. I chose the potato salad and they gave me a huge amount! Not some dinky little spoonful, but a whole deli size containers worth! Wife was at work so kids brought me here for lunch in a rainy Saturday. It had been quite a while since I had been here. They were busy but service was fast and friendly. I got a bacon infused smash cheeseburger with fries. The fries were excellent and the cheeseburger absolutely huge and delicious. The cheese was a battered block of cheddar which I have never had before that made this taste like a grill cheeses sandwich inside an Hamburger very tasty and cool. Walking in it's more of a bar feel, we sat outside which I thought had a fun vibe to it. For the drinks we had their bloody Mary's which weren't too bad. Not sure if it was the ice but it had a slight flavor that resembled a tap water / freezer burned ice taste. For food, I ordered the tri tip sandwich, menu said it was slow smoked for 3/hrs which made me choose it. I selected tater tots as a side to switch it up from the normal French fries I typically order. Let me say- The tots were sooo CRISPY Crunchy!!which I loved. As far as the tri tip I was a bit disappointed as it seemed pretty dry, thankfully the BBQ sauce helped with that. While the place was noisy, because after all it is a sports bar and it was a Friday evening, it was not uncomfortably loud. Our server, Micky (if I remember correctly) was sweet and friendly.
