Gabby a waitress in the bar area was extremely rude. From the start I said hello and thanked her for coming over to chat with me and asked her about what was going on. She said rnb brunch but not to ask about it because it's sold out. From the start she was rude...I sat at the bar and ordered a drink and she came up and asked me if I wanted to close my tab, I said as confused because I was still ordering another drink with the lady behind the bar, in which the lady behind the bar told gabby "no, she's still ordering another drink with me and wants to keep it open". Gabby looked at me and rolled her eyes and said loudly "whatever I guess" and scoffed. The lady behind the bar apologized for her. I got my drink and left the area. My group ordered 3 family meals and it came out wrong and we politely mentioned to gabby, we'll gabby immediately got defensive and said "so what, what do you want me to do about it". The owner came out and apologized and offered to fix it. Never were we upset or blamed anyone, we just asked for it to be fixed. Overall gabby was so rude and not welcoming. Stopped in for a late lunch and ended up having one of those meals that just works. Ordered the Triple Play--and it lives up to the name. Shrimp, chicken, and beef all on one plate, cooked properly, not rushed, not over-sauced. The veggies still had color and bite, the noodles held together, and the heat was balanced enough to keep things interesting without overpowering anything. The bread on the side wasn't an afterthought either--it actually mattered. Come to find out the dish was made by Tony, part owner and the creator of the Triple Play. That explains a lot. This felt like a plate someone designed, not something thrown together. Sat at the bar, had a beer with lunch, and the whole experience was relaxed and welcoming. Seeing so many great reviews, we decided to try this place for ourselves. Walking in, you can tell right away, it has a warm, neighborhood "cheers' vibe. People love it here. The staff is immediately friendly and welcoming. You'll have a tough time deciding on what to order because the menu is extensive! Adrienne, the manager, helped guide us in our order. He was rightfully proud talking about the homemade fried pickles! They were superb! Crispy and crunchy! Just the right amount of batter. I loved seeing a Peanut Butter burger on the menu! We lived in Europe for a long time and they have them on the menu in pubs on occasion there, but I rarely see them here. That peanut butter and Jam, add the perfect tangy, sweetness! Sidelines Whiskeyjacks version also has a kick of sriracha, which added a nice touch. I sort of wanted a little more sweetness of jam, and Adrienne offered to bring me some on the side, but the burger was excellent as is! I opted to forego the fries to save the calories, but my husband had fries with his classic burger and he loved his meal as well. He said the fries were crisp and perfectly seasoned. I have ordered from restaurants and obtained higher respect than from here. How can a restaurant say to your face oops so sorry that you are in a hotel but we can provide for you some plastic forks, we originally said we did not have and then, so happen to find after looking for 20 minutes to take with you. Really, come on now, whose leftover plastic forks did you try to give to me. Whenever this has taken place in other establishments, they would just give me a set of wrapped silverware. Why? Most have said they lose so many in the trash it really wouldn't make a difference. The place also allowed dogs, which I have an allergy to, again the disrespect. The music was so loud you couldn't hear the person sitting right next to you. No manager was on the premises to voice my concerns. Hopefully I have no issues with the refund issued. SMH SMH!!! Was met by Brandy, very friendly and told us to sit wherever we wanted. Ordered zucchini and calamari strips, both very good! Then on to entree's I had the Phil Niekro aka the old man. It was good. My wife had the rib tacos, very little meat and there was bits of bones in it. Needed BBQ sauce. My sister had the chicken sandwich and said it was good. Ok.. so this is not on the best side of town. However.. they have their own parking lot that is quite large. I felt safe as there were 3 security guards posted at front door. They were very nice I might add :) and it made me feel safe. it's kind of an odd set up inside. but... very clean. Lighting could be lowered in dance area by tables and above. Tables too spread out to feel close to anyone and mingle. Bar area near dance floor needs some shelves and under lighting. maybe artwork from Local Artists on walls.Needs a few IPA handles as well. It needs to be pulled together somehow. Love the outdoor areas. Space heaters and safe fire pit on the little outdoor area would be great. if they manage their crowd and keep "americana bands" playing like: Bangarang, Triple D, Blue Line, Matt Davis, Autumn'sGarden etc..... They could do well. Need to put a stage out on that outside area... a cover for summertime heat... and could pack in a nice crowd!! Main bar had a very nice selection of beer. I think some non skid strips on ramp going down to bar would be beneficial before someone slips and falls. Be ready to go up and down as you navigate yourself through this space. Also, owner needs to utilize FREE social media platforms ( Facebook, instagram, Tik Tok, yelp) to show menu items, beers on tap, speciality drinks, bands playing, DJ 's in the house etc. ... and should respond to customers questions. Fried food sometimes sours my stomach but theirs didn't at all. The buffalo wings were meaty & good as well. The lone negative here was the quality of their Altamont Maui Waui IPA on draft. Our family went to this place after my grandsons graduation. We were a party of twelve. They weren't very busy so we got seated quickly. But it was down hill from there. We ordered drinks. But three of the beers our waitress recommended and we ordered were not available. So we had to order again and again. My husband asked for a lemonade and the waitress said is pink lemonade ok that's all we have. He said yes sounds great. But guess what. The lemonade wasn't pink! Surprise! Then on the food order three things we ordered weren't available. They were out of ribs and tri tip and fish. Three of us ordered the chicken and waffles which were the worst ever. Two ordered fish tacos and one never arrived. Had it taken off the bill. My daughter said the tacos were ok. My husband had a pizza which wasn't bad. Everyone else had some sort of burgers which all looked good. Our total bill was over $370.00!!! Only half of us had beers the rest was soft drinks. And my one granddaughter and I both only had drinks. A little high priced for not so great food and very poor service. The food and drinks both trickled to the table. Half of us were finished before the other half got their food. Needless to say we won't be back. They did have line dancing classes going on in another room which looked like fun. I'd only recommend coming here for dance lessons and a beer. But no guarantee they'll have the ones that are on the menu. read more
