Was heading to an event in the area and we wanted to grab a bite to eat that had a bar. I looked up this location and it fit the bill of what we were looking for. We arrived around 4pm on a Friday and a few patrons were inside at the bar. We decided to sit at the bar to get a drink and food. Brandie helped up and she had a very upbeat personality. She was having a chat with a few other customers who seemed to be regulars but was still attentive to us the whole time. She made you feel like a friend! We ordered the steak sandwich and a chicken quesadillas along with our drinks. Both were really good! The steak sandwich was especially good. The place has ample seating inside a lot of parking outside. There are also plenty of TVs to catch any of your favorite sports games. Gabby a waitress in the bar area was extremely rude. From the start I said hello and thanked her for coming over to chat with me and asked her about what was going on. She said rnb brunch but not to ask about it because it's sold out. From the start she was rude...I sat at the bar and ordered a drink and she came up and asked me if I wanted to close my tab, I said as confused because I was still ordering another drink with the lady behind the bar, in which the lady behind the bar told gabby "no, she's still ordering another drink with me and wants to keep it open". Gabby looked at me and rolled her eyes and said loudly "whatever I guess" and scoffed. The lady behind the bar apologized for her. I got my drink and left the area. We came in on a random day to watch the game have some appetizers and a few beverages. When we first walked in the waitress Brandee seemed so nice gave us our refreshments a beer and sprite to be exact and said they were working on the menu and would get it for us in a few. After almost 20 minutes waiting hearing her talk with a patron at the bar disrespectfully and obnoxiously we asked another waitress for a menu. At that time Brandee said that we asked for BBQ menu which we didn't even know existed and that we had to wait for her to clock out before getting served a menu and another beverage. Excuse me you told us you were going to bring us a menu! Abby was so helpful but to be honest I felt bad she had to deal with us being upset over another waitress prior to her. At this point I'm frustrated and ready to eat. The whole mood changed around the restaurant when Brandee left or so we thought the place lightened up everyone seemed happy and she returned walking around trying to all of a sudden help like no I heard your comments and I'm not thrilled. The actual restaurant had a phenomenal super fan vibe from all different sports teams that was awesome. The potato skin and garlic fries were not all that but the Fried pickles were a 10/10 and the wings were also a good 8/10 tbh the whole experience was ruined some of the food made it up but the reason for 3 stars was the service from Brandee. We went there on a Wednesday night to help celebrate a friend's birthday and to sing karaoke. My hubby ordered the fish and chips, but the "tartar sauce " was basically mayonnaise, so no good there. They also gave him a small ramekin of tobasco sauce, I'm not sure why? I feel like malt vinegar would have been better. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo pizza, which was very flavorful-and way too much for one person. I got four meals out of it. Also a cheeseburger but omit the blue cheese that it came with. Burger had blue cheese. After yet another long period of time , we are now told they have no baked potatoes. This is the "Ribeye" that was served. Took another 30+ minutes to get our check after asking for it. Do not recommend this place at all. And we were never offered refills on our drinks. I enjoyed this place so much. Came with some friends for brunch on Sunday and had an amazing time. It was sing along R&B and they curated an amazing vibe, they also had different card games you could play( which we took full advantage of). The food was really good as well. It came out hot and flavorful, we got the catfish with Mac n cheese and greens-bomb- star of the show- catfish fried to perfection, greens didn't need any hot sauce(IYKYK), chicken and waffles, chicken nachos and wings. Struck of luck we found Sidelines. Looking for a place for Mothers Day and they were open. Looked interesting. Staff, ambience and low key music was a nice start. The staff is immediately friendly and welcoming. You'll have a tough time deciding on what to order because the menu is extensive! Adrienne, the manager, helped guide us in our order. He was rightfully proud talking about the homemade fried pickles! They were superb! Crispy and crunchy! Just the right amount of batter. I loved seeing a Peanut Butter burger on the menu! We lived in Europe for a long time and they have them on the menu in pubs on occasion there, but I rarely see them here. That peanut butter and Jam, add the perfect tangy, sweetness! Sidelines Whiskeyjacks version also has a kick of sriracha, which added a nice touch. I sort of wanted a little more sweetness of jam, and Adrienne offered to bring me some on the side, but the burger was excellent as is! The Sunday Brunch on Mother's day was an unpleasant event due to the service. The food was good but I was told at the front desk that the champagne was free and to hold your glass up for the DJ to come by. But I was charged for two glasses of champagne. I have ordered from restaurants and obtained higher respect than from here. How can a restaurant say to your face oops so sorry that you are in a hotel but we can provide for you some plastic forks, we originally said we did not have and then, so happen to find after looking for 20 minutes to take with you. Really, come on now, whose leftover plastic forks did you try to give to me. Whenever this has taken place in other establishments, they would just give me a set of wrapped silverware. Why? Most have said they lose so many in the trash it really wouldn't make a difference. The place also allowed dogs, which I have an allergy to, again the disrespect. The music was so loud you couldn't hear the person sitting right next to you. No manager was on the premises to voice my concerns. Hopefully I have no issues with the refund issued. SMH SMH!!! My wife had the rib tacos, very little meat and there was bits of bones in it. Needed BBQ sauce. My sister had the chicken sandwich and said it was good. Ok.. so this is not on the best side of town. However.. they have their own parking lot that is quite large. I felt safe as there were 3 security guards posted at front door. They were very nice I might add :) and it made me feel safe. it's kind of an odd set up inside. but... very clean. Lighting could be lowered in dance area by tables and above. Tables too spread out to feel close to anyone and mingle. Bar area near dance floor needs some shelves and under lighting. maybe artwork from Local Artists on walls.Needs a few IPA handles as well. It needs to be pulled together somehow. Love the outdoor areas. Space heaters and safe fire pit on the little outdoor area would be great. if they manage their crowd and keep "americana bands" playing like: Bangarang, Triple D, Blue Line, Matt Davis, Autumn'sGarden etc..... They could do well. Need to put a stage out on that outside area... a cover for summertime heat... and could pack in a nice crowd!! Main bar had a very nice selection of beer. I think some non skid strips on ramp going down to bar would be beneficial before someone slips and falls. Be ready to go up and down as you navigate yourself through this space. Also, owner needs to utilize FREE social media platforms ( Facebook, instagram, Tik Tok, yelp) to show menu items, beers on tap, speciality drinks, bands playing, DJ 's in the house etc. ... and should respond to customers questions.
