Stopped in for a late lunch and ended up having one of those meals that just works. Ordered the Triple Play--and it lives up to the name. Shrimp, chicken, and beef all on one plate, cooked properly, not rushed, not over-sauced. The veggies still had color and bite, the noodles held together, and the heat was balanced enough to keep things interesting without overpowering anything. The bread on the side wasn't an afterthought either--it actually mattered. Come to find out the dish was made by Tony, part owner and the creator of the Triple Play. That explains a lot. This felt like a plate someone designed, not something thrown together. Sat at the bar, had a beer with lunch, and the whole experience was relaxed and welcoming. Shout-out to Sunshine, tending the bar, for the easygoing, attentive service--exactly what you want in the middle of the day. Sidelines isn't just a place to watch a game. It's a spot where the food, the room, and the people all know their role. I'll be back.

Went here during lunch time to watch a Giants game and it was worth it. Clean fresh atmosphere the vibe was good. They have plenty of room and tvs to watch plenty of games here. The food was very good. Garlic fries were fire and the service was excellent. Food came out quick and hot. Recommend a try.

Seeing so many great reviews, we decided to try this place for ourselves. Walking in, you can tell right away, it has a warm, neighborhood "cheers' vibe. People love it here. The staff is immediately friendly and welcoming. You'll have a tough time deciding on what to order because the menu is extensive! Adrienne, the manager, helped guide us in our order. He was rightfully proud talking about the homemade fried pickles! They were superb! Crispy and crunchy! Just the right amount of batter. I loved seeing a Peanut Butter burger on the menu! We lived in Europe for a long time and they have them on the menu in pubs on occasion there, but I rarely see them here. That peanut butter and Jam, add the perfect tangy, sweetness! Sidelines Whiskeyjacks version also has a kick of sriracha, which added a nice touch. I sort of wanted a little more sweetness of jam, and Adrienne offered to bring me some on the side, but the burger was excellent as is! I opted to forego the fries to save the calories, but my husband had fries with his classic burger and he loved his meal as well. He said the fries were crisp and perfectly seasoned. We had perfectly made gin and tonics to go with dinner and our bill was reasonable priced. We will be back for sure!

The food was delicious and large portions. The drinks were so refreshing. The whole vibe was great! They have the other side that is Whiskey Jacks bar with line dancing. I'll have to come back and try that.

We went here on Friday night for my friend's birthday. The atmosphere is very large, my husband liked all of the sports memorabilia. The food was good and well priced. The wait staff were friendly with attentive service. I even made a new friend .

Was met by Brandy, very friendly and told us to sit wherever we wanted. Ordered zucchini and calamari strips, both very good! Then on to entree's I had the Phil Niekro aka the old man. It was good. My wife had the rib tacos, very little meat and there was bits of bones in it. Needed BBQ sauce. My sister had the chicken sandwich and said it was good. My brother in law had the steak sandwich and it was very tough piece of meat? All in all we would try it again. Would be a strong 3 1/2 stars! Great menu

Ok.. so this is not on the best side of town. However.. they have their own parking lot that is quite large. I felt safe as there were 3 security guards posted at front door. They were very nice I might add :) and it made me feel safe. it's kind of an odd set up inside. but... very clean. Lighting could be lowered in dance area by tables and above. Tables too spread out to feel close to anyone and mingle. Bar area near dance floor needs some shelves and under lighting. maybe artwork from Local Artists on walls.Needs a few IPA handles as well. It needs to be pulled together somehow. Love the outdoor areas. Space heaters and safe fire pit on the little outdoor area would be great. if they manage their crowd and keep "americana bands" playing like: Bangarang, Triple D, Blue Line, Matt Davis, Autumn'sGarden etc..... They could do well. Need to put a stage out on that outside area... a cover for summertime heat... and could pack in a nice crowd!! Main bar had a very nice selection of beer. I think some non skid strips on ramp going down to bar would be beneficial before someone slips and falls. Be ready to go up and down as you navigate yourself through this space. Also, owner needs to utilize FREE social media platforms ( Facebook, instagram, Tik Tok, yelp) to show menu items, beers on tap, speciality drinks, bands playing, DJ 's in the house etc. ... and should respond to customers questions. I had the absolute worst time finding anything out about this place. a guy w/a Latino car on wall is basically who I was told to look up for more info. ridiculous. I am not sure anybody even knows you added whiskey to the name of business. I and many others want you to succeed. it's clear you love this space. It's off the beaten path so we need to be kept informed of what's going on:) pretty please....

Sadly disappointed…read more My friends and I stopped by Commonwealth on a Saturday afternoon for a late brunch. It was a beautiful day so it was busy for both indoor and outdoor seating. Here, you order your food, grab a number, and find your own seat for the food to be brought out to you. We sat at a table outside to decide what to order. There were no menus available so we just had to search for it online before heading inside to order. Despite being third in line from the register, we had an extremely long wait to order. There was only one person running the register who also had to make the drinks, meaning the service incredibly slow. We wanted to order the five taco platter, garlic fries, chicken Caesar salad, and mimosa pitcher. Sadly, we were only able to get the pitcher and salad. The cashier told us "sorry, we aren't doing fries right now." Not doing fries? Every plate in the vicinity had fries on them. She said that because it was brunch hour, only food on the brunch menu could be ordered. We looked at the brunch menu again and literally saw garlic fries as an option as a side for the burgers/sandwiches. No where did it specify that you can't order off the other menu and both were available online. What bothered us about this is that we placed this order at around 1:50pm, and brunch ended at 2:00pm. I understand that we are not entitled to things on the lunch menu during brunch-time for items like the tacos, but considering the menu swap was less than 10 minutes away and they were quite literally were "doing fries" at the time, it didn't make much sense to us. The only food that we ended up ordering was the Chicken Caesar Salad. This one dish took a super long time to receive. By the time it was brought out, the three of us nearly finished the Mimosa pitcher. The waitress noticed we had no silverware and said she would go grab us some. Because of how the service had been going thus far, we placed a bet on whether or not the waitress would come back with the silverware. Surprise, surprise. She didn't. We had to go inside later and search for silverware ourselves. We weren't even able to get sharing plates which was upsetting since the waitress asked us if we would be sharing the salad. The salad itself looked delicious, but was bland. The dressing was missing that zing and zest that a Caesar dressing typically has. I do appreciate that is was a chopped salad, had avocado, and seasoned croutons. It is just unfortunate that it was lacking any flavor at all. The food prices are quite affordable for the quantity of food you receive though. This experience was disappointing because I was so optimistic about the place. The menu looked good, it had fun and casual vibes and a cool crowd of people. If Commonwealth worked towards better service practices, it would have been a more positive experience.

This worked fine for us. We had our menus and drinks in a reasonable time, and had a relaxing time throughout. We both had the pulled pork sandwich along with the ice tea. I also had the cup of chili - nicely spiced). I enjoyed my sandwich (skipping the bun, as I am trying to limit carbs). My friend, whom I realized often fusses about the meals we share, was more critical. His comments were "Wrong bun, hamburger bun shoulda been an onion bun" and "How long does it take to make a sandwich?" (The wait time was totally reasonable to me.) He didn't like the potato salad (but ate it all with little time spared). He liked the meat in the sandwich, giving it a 5 out of 5. He liked the service less (I felt it was on point and just fine.) The twisted pig is a good place to eat, if it is noisy inside (as it often is) check out the patio.

The flavors and combinations of how they made their sauce for the brussels sprouts. The little bit of cheese, the roasting, just perfectly. Those Brussels spouts were man. Oh, man, so so good. I mean, I was surprised there were any left at the end of lunch because they were so good. Then there was the deep fried pickles. Pickles are just something that you have to either love Em or you hate Em. But deep fried pickles are just that sour taste that I just have to have. I have to have a sweet and a sour and pickles are just that for us. So we enjoyed them. They were just crispy enpugh on the outside with just a nice firm bite of the pickle, tender. And then that bitterness was really good. And then our main meal came, and there is enough food on that platter for two people to share. So if you're getting it for one, you better be a hearty guy like you gotta be a lumberjack guy to eat this all by yourself. Because this is like a platterful. There is like 6 ribs on that plate, 2 mouds of the pulled pork, 2 big huge scoops of macaroni n cheese and like a bag of those tater tots, then they drizzle, drizzle, drizzle, barbecue sauce. All over it, it was just like mouthwatering. When it hit the table. It smelled so good, it was just amazing. And then we just dove in a little bit, tried this a little bit of that, the ribs fell off the bone. It was so good. Now the restaurant is small and looks like it is a locals kinda spot so it is semi loud with sports and men chopping it up, but there were ladies sitting at various tables and a couple of families so it is semi family friendly if you dont mind the bar aspect that is bigger than the eating area in my opinion. We only seen one staff member on the floor and one behind the bar while we were there, but the service was quick and the ladies were attentive so it was a good experience. The decor needs an update and it had a 4 out of 5 vibe for me, but I rate food not people so I would go back for that.

My party was seated fairly quickly. Our waitress took all our orders by memory - we were a party of 8! I got the Chicken Marsala: Chicken, sauce, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, and gravy. I started off with the mixed veggies - they were cooked soft, just how I like them. They were also flavorful! Not just regular ole steamed frozen veggies, they definitely were buttered and seasoned or something. Next, the mashed potatoes. I'm not a mashed potato connoisseur - matter of fact, I usually skip eating mashed potatoes when they're available. These mashed potatoes however were so flavorful! And it was not only the gravy doing all the talking, it was both the mash and the gravy. I was impressed! Lastly, the chicken Marsala. The chicken itself was cooked to perfection, moist on the inside & fully cooked - and with chicken breast, we all know how hard that is to accomplish. The sauce was incredible. I have never had any Marsala sauce as good as that. So much flavor, very savory. Altogether, the flavors worked together and worked perfectly. If only I wasn't an hour away, I would come here more often. I hope to be here again someday!
