We had an evening planned to spend with our darling teenage granddaughter and Rivets fit the bill. We had been regulars bc we lived nearby and they saved us with excellent takeout during Covid. We hadn't visited since we moved to Oakdale five years ago so we thought it was time. It was a busy Friday night when we arrived about 5:45 pm. We were quickly seated and our server, John, quickly arrived to bring waters. I ordered a glass of Kim Crawford sauvignon blanc and my husband had an IP. We took a few minutes to review the menu and were ready when John returned. We ordered the fish and chips, the birria tacos and the special, seafood pasta. We were all very pleased with our choices. The food arrived hot and fresh. We were enjoying great food and conversation when someone took the mike and announced that a band would be playing soon. Right away, we could no longer hear each other, our time of conversation was over. Please don't misunderstand me, the band was fine and the vibe was good. I come here on Sundays for NFL Sunday Ticket to watch my favorite team play when they are out of area and I love coming here. They have breakfast brunch and great atmosphere. A large selection of burgers and sandwiches can come with many potato generated sides. I had the chicken pesto sandwich with garlic fries, the fries were crispy and the garlic toss was very good. Paired with a Guinness that came from the very good sized tap collection, made my lunch perfect. They have a dessert menu and also do milkshakes. The bread was good but the meat was real chewy. The fries were ok... obviously, the standard frozen ones restaurants buy from Sysco. My wife ordered the Mango Cilantro Chicken Salad. It looked tasty but the everything was huge. Had to cut everything smaller so she could eat it. Not much of a salad if you have to continue to cut the items in the salad. Otherwise the food was average. We probably won't order from here again. Not to say anyone else shouldn't. Just don't think it's worth ordering from again. read more
