I had tried this place years ago for a meeting and enjoyed it but it never seemed to stay on my "gotta go" list even though I drive by there many times a week. The parking is easy and close; the staff is friendly enough. The choices for drinks and eats are way more than enough with plenty of variety. My wife ordered the chicken parm, and I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. We both agreed that our dishes were spot on and that we WOULD be back. The total for the two entrees and a cocktail for my lady ran just under a hundred, including tip. One caution: this place is LOUD. We stopped by on a late Sunday around 5:30 pm, and the patrons were talking so loud you could hardly hear the person across the table. Earplugs would help. read more

Met a female friend here for an early Happy Hour dinner last week (her selection). My first visit and upon pulling into the parking lot I was questioning her choice. Then I noticed the customers cars- all new nice vehicles (MBZ sedan, new Ford Bronco, Toyota 4-Runner, etc) The bar section was kind of crowded at 4:30pm, only a couple of seats open, so we sat in a funky raised booth with our backs to the window. Seemed like a lot of regulars as they all knew one another. Female bartender came out and took our beer orders and then brought menus. We ordered food (fish & chips, and a BLTA Club). Friend said they have great fish & chips and she was very pleased. i was surprised to find the BLTA far above my expectations for a pub. Fries were good too- perfectly cooked to a golden brown. I would go back for that sandwich when in that area of town. The food items were each just over $20-24, four beers $9 each. With tax and 20% tip it was just under $100 I'd go back 100%. My friends and I used to come here after nigh classes on McHenry! It was DELICIOUS not only did they have a full bar but their menu was huge! My go to was this sandwich called the Turkey Cranberry and Jack. They even put cream cheese on it now I NEED to go next time I'm in Modesto! The service was okay! It is very dicey here so everything is very fast paced you definitely better know what you want to order because they move QUICK but efficient! Like I mentioned busy busy environment but since it was night classes we were doing we enjoyed the fun crazy vibe on a Friday for some drinks and food! The drinks were big and fair for non alcoholic drinks. The cheese sticks were really good. The buffalo sliders were really good but pricey with no side. Their onion rings very good. The fish sandwich was ok, nothing to brag about. I have had much better and price was kinda high. Their churro desert with vanilla ice cream was amazing. This place has been here for long time and food is good! Went with a friend for Saint Patrick's Day and had bought tickets but band didn't play until eight or nine pm. Extremely loud and crowded too much and tickets didn't give a food discount so we left around five pm! read more

This was my second time here. I uploaded quite a few pictures of the menu for food and drinks. There is something for everybody at this place. I love the beer selection and the food selection. There's plenty of TVs around the bar and eating area to enjoy a game. Pretty chill atmosphere, nice waitresses, and friendly service. I had the lettuce wrap with chicken and it was very good. I also had the campfire stout to drink very good. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to have a cold beer and a bite to eat. read more

First time trying out it out recently with friends to see our old buddy's band. We tried a bunch of appetizers and my favorite is the deep fried pickles!!! It is a must try. We ordered half tots and half fried pickles but should have just got the pickles because I didn't touch the tots. Clean friendly place with amazing staff. I wish I could remember our waitresses name because she was always checking in and filling our drinks. I'm sure we all tipped her very well. read more

My kids went to this place -- my son was playing with a band and my daughter gave him and the equipment a ride. They parked in the back, to have easier access to load in the equipment inside. My daughter's car was towed, no notice. Apparently there was a sign although not visible where they were parked. In any case, afterwards, were told by a waiter that the owner called to have the cars towed and this happens regularly. We picked up the car at the yard an hour later (tow attendant told my daughter to wait an hour for someone to be there). We showed up to pick up the car--$580 dollars! The car wasn't even there overnight. When I told the tow person that the car wasn't even there overnight, he replied with--it was here over an hour....incredibly sleazy. I just can't believe the owner would call to have a car towed on an fairly empty parking lot when there were 2 cars belonging to the band members (lucky the other car wasn't picked up...he got to it just in time before the tow truck came back). It just left a bad taste in my mouth---you have young musicians wanting to do good for the pub, it's not a great paying gig, but it's a nice pub with generally decent food...but talk about a net negative....it would be nice to have the decency to ask the band if there are any cars in the back lot to move them before they get towed. read more

This pub has been around for years and I have to give credit where credit is due. They are known for their fish and chips, which are definitely a go to on the menu, but I have to say that my favorite thing , which is hands-down, the best dinner entree on their menu is the salmon !!!! Highly disappointed . This has been a go to and fav for YEARS! We did however take a break for a while for well...goals. Decided to stop in and have lunch the other day and were so disappointed, it's sad really. First let me say the food was still great. Our server, not so much. We had ordered an appetizer that our server forgot about and then brought it out after our plates were brought to us. Honestly he didn't seem to want to be there. Me and my wife went on a Friday night. It was a 2 1/2 hour wait we had our granddaughter and we asked if it was family friendly and the hostess said yes, and I would like to say that she was very very nice and we decided to come back on Monday at 1 o'clock in the afternoon this was our first time ,We ordered 1 bowl of clam chowder and (2pc) fish and chips and we had to take some home, besides being, absolutely delicious it was enough to feed both of us. I was invited to this location by a co worker of mine to enjoy dinner and some drinks after work. I was pleasantly surprised by everything here. The food was top notch which I was surprised by considering they had a lot of different kind of food on the menu. Because of that I went with a safe choice of a burger. It was fantastic. Messy but well put together. Our survey Bailey was very attentive. Once seated she passed by six times to make sure everything was good. I appreciate the worth ethic incredibly. Hands down I will return. The only thing I would like to see improved is the lighting and ambiance. I see great things for the future for this place. read more

Just had a mid-week lunch there with my wife. I'm a Brit so I know English/Irish pubs, shall we say, intimately! I've lived here in CA for 30 years and have been here several times. Ambiance is good, service is good, entertainment is good, great beer choices and lots of TV's...even real dart boards! But Oh, the prices!! $8 for a 16oz 805 from Paso Robles ! I came here because I saw the menu and I thought the food sounded really good, I took my family with me, The food was good, I had the chipotle wrap and that was really tasty, The avocado dip not so much, just tasted like cream cheese with shredded cheese inside, their onion rings and chicken tenders were very good, and I hamburgers were also tasty. Went there to celebrate a Birthday. First complaint is service was poor and slow. Was charged incorrectly. Was charged for 2 bottles of wine instead of 2 glasses. Then on the correction he charged us for $14 a glass when menu states $10. We didn't ask him to make the correction that we just said whatever. Then they couldn't take my gift cards because system wouldn't allow it and didn't offer any other option other for using them or taking off that amount. I had the receipt of gift cards as well. Poor customer service/rude and incorrectly charging of menu items. I would have def. chose another place for a birthday but since we had gift cards we went and then couldn't use them.
