The Garth with sausage is my go to. The screw driver is really good too!

Great food and service . Entertaining walls, they're fun to read! Kathy and Jared are very friendly.

I've been to Squeeze In 4 times before this review and have always enjoyed my experience, so maybe my visit last Sunday was just an off-day? I ordered the Super Food Scramble because I wanted something healthy and not too heavy. The scramble came with egg whites, spinach, broccoli, red bell peppers, zucchini, and added the turkey sausage for an additional charge. The scramble came with a nice serving of fresh fruit with melons, strawberries, pineapple, and blueberries and an English muffin. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito with turkey sausage and potatoes. Our food took a while to come out, at least 20 minutes. My food looked great, but the scramble was watery and had no flavor. I tried putting Chalula on it, but it didn't make up for the watery texture. The service started off great, but since it was an hour before close, everyone was busy trying to get their sidework done and it was difficult to get refills on iced teas and coffees. We just did without. My husband's burrito and potatoes also had no flavor. A little disappointing in terms of food quality and service. Although the experience could have been better, we'll probably try Squeeze In again sometime in the future. Modesto needs more fun and cool breakfast spots like this one.

We had a wonderful experience again, I had the tri dip with no turkey, added ham Second order California dreamin avo sub Our waitress Lisa is very friendly and attentive, your order comes out quickly And you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere while eating your food. great spot for Breakfast and lunch I highly recommend this place

Squeeze In is definitely a spot I'd go back to. The food was honestly amazing. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived, but once the food came out, it was clear why the place was so busy. It was absolutely worth it. We kept our order pretty simple, but everything was done so well. I had a pancake with scrambled eggs and sausage, paired with country potatoes and orange juice. The pancake was fluffy and flavorful, not dry at all, and the scrambled eggs were soft and perfectly cooked. The sausage had great seasoning and a nice bite to it, and the country potatoes were crispy on the outside while still tender on the inside, which is exactly how they should be. We also ordered the Hangover Cure, and it definitely lived up to its name. It was hearty, filling, and packed with flavor. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and that care goes into how the dishes are prepared. Nothing felt rushed or thrown together, even with how busy they were. Overall, the food quality really stood out and made the wait feel justified. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, and it felt like a place people genuinely enjoy coming back to. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the wait time, but the food itself was delicious and satisfying. If you don't mind a short wait for really good breakfast food, Squeeze In is absolutely worth checking out.

I've always wanted to check this place out because of the reviews and finally got my chance. First off if you're going on the weekend be prepared to wait. There's usually a line, ok that's a positive sign the place is good. When we were called to a table my excitement was noticeable. My friend snickered I'm sure. As we walked into the funky establishment I looked at the patrons food. Yes, I admit it. So may options are listed on the menu. I go for savory of course while he, of course, goes for sweet. He ordered some sweet pancake thing As we waited for our...food and waited for our drink..it was crowded ok! Making a point here! I lo9ked around at the walls, the ceiling and the crazy decorations. Again a funky vibe with bright colors, alien stuff and whatever else. We liked the place a lot and have been back several times. With the cost of the world nowadays we don't go out as much as we used to. But when I stay over his place, he lives closer, and we have extra cash and wake up early enough we try to come in here for breakfast.

Shawnveris B.

Food, service, and ambiance were very good. Nice little place tucked in the back of Modesto.

Trish B.

Service was good very welcoming pretty cool surf atmosphere place. I got the pancakes with a butter honey special sauce. It was really good and I got a side of sausage. Also, good my husband got a bacon cheeseburger, which was awesome with garlic fries. Everything was good and we got that special bloody Mary, which was like lunch in a mug flavor was nice and spicy

Patricia M.

This is hands down one of my favorite breakfast spots in Modesto. The service is always great and the overall Vibe of this place is just great all around. The food is always fresh and delicious and the drinks are always a hit and I love that you can make em a double for those mornings that really need it. Definitely a must try if you're ever in town!

Went for breakfast on a Monday. The prices were ridiculously expensive for mediocre food in a strip mall. $6.98 for 2 cups of coffee. Service was very slow. I had the Jack Johnson pancakes they were tough and didn't find many walnuts . The serving size was ridiculous it was s waste of food. DH had eggs, hash browns , ham and biscuit & gravy nothing out of the ordinary for $14.99. If it's a gimmicky place- not sure what the gimmick is...... read more

I tried this place for the first time this weekend. I really wanted to sit outside but it just happened to be too windy for my two years old so we sat inside which was nice too. All the staff are super nice. I went during lunch time and even tho it was busy we were seated pretty quickly and served our food with in 20 minutes I believe. The food was really good. My two year old really liked the bucket of toys she was able to play with while we waited for our food. Overall the food was good, the place was clean, and the staff where very friendly! I will definitely be going again. read more

The stars don't represent the food. The food was good. If you decide to still come here after reading my review, large portions were given so don't be afraid to share a dish with someone. But the service, man, it wasn't good. I'm from Modesto, but I now live in Truckee, and the original Squeeze In we have in Truckee has fantastic service. This Modesto franchise is giving Squeeze In a bad name. To the Mo-Town Manager: train your employees, the food will only cover up the poor service for so long. and Don't let the confidence of being located in the middle of stucco mini mansions (Village One) think your employees can slack either. There are plenty of other breakfast spots to choose from. When I'm back down visiting family we won't be back, if I want some Squeeze I'll stick to the Truckee location. No one likes being forgotten by their unapologetic server. read more

Squeeze In just keeps getting better. For spring Alfresco dining they have imported a full chorus of happy chirping sparrows! One even perched not five feet from me to do an encore solo as I savored a perfect Veggie Eggs Benedict and fresh coffee. Danielle kept the coffee coming and was as perky as the birds, only a bit cuter because of her sprinkling of freckles and beautiful smile. The food was perfect as usual, and such a.generous serving I had to take home enough for dinner. Every time I eat here the food is better than before. I'm planning to eat my way clear through the menu and then start over. read more

First time today with the family and the place is pretty good! Clean and service is good, with everyone working smiling. I would say though for the type of food and serving size it's over priced. The breakfast/lunch spots in the area are about 10%-15% cheaper for just as good food. Great idea and atmosphere, but overpriced. read more

I would have to say that for the money you can definately do better. Its not so much the food was bad because it was decent, but was not priced accordingly. Its a smaller place and I like the vibe and customer service good but the food was average at best and pricey for what you get. One can get an equivalent breakfast for alot less at the Waffle House. If you want to spend the money go to Surla's downtown, all you can eat and unlimited mamosa's is included for what you would pay here. read more

Great small breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. The owner works here and is interactive with the customers. The vibe is pretty chill. The food is well prepped and a very abundant choice. You might look at the menu and think its high because you can get a $2.99 breakfast at Denny's, but you get what you pay for. Squeeze In is worth every penny. Don't believe me try a hail mary bloody mary, but you might want to get an uber ride home. Lol read more

I visited this restaurant the other day. I was met by a very friendly server named Laurie. She spent time telling me all about the restaurant and the menu. I had one of their delicious omelets with their specialty pancakes. The portions are huge...I actually took half of my meal home. Laurie was so upbeat and friendly...definitely an asset to the restaurant. While I was enjoying I actually met a very nice man. We had a great conversation...the restaurant never rushed us out. This has become one of my favorite restaurants. I'm new to Modesto and so happy to have found a great breakfast place to visit. read more

Portions seem to have become much smaller at some time since opening. You expect more from a $16 breakfast. Service was very, very inattentive. Coffee cups should not sit empty for 15 minutes at a breakfast spot. Server dropped off food and never came back. Had to flag down other employees for refills and ketchup. Just read several of the negative reviews and it explains my experience. To keep it short, we experienced marginal food for a premium price, along with slow distracted service - (not at all friendly). Other specifics, it wasn't overly clean, and it's a tiny place - a little claustrophobic. It took me 15 minutes to figure out the illegible menu. Positives? Can't really think of any. read more

Why are there not more places as good as this in our Valley? This place is something you'd find bustling with people in downtown Santa Cruz. It's truly out of this world, or out of this Valley. We've had their waffles in many offered varieties, even their stuffed version *drool*. Their pancakes are satisfying and their omelets are what I come after time and time again. Not a fan of their sausage they use in these, but thats quite a simple fix! I may be coming on too strong, but hey, when you find the ONE, you just know: Squeeze In is the ONE. I was shocked when the server mentioned that for the omelette they use already premade mix (with milk), I mean come on! Any decent breakfast place I know use garden fresh eggs. Premade mix for omelette is another strange thing. Overall an average place, I don't know why this place has good reviews and so hyped up. We ordered: Breakfast Tots Grilled Fruit & Brie Berry lemon cheesecake waffle Coffee flight Everything was amazing. I love tater tots and adding the breakfast staples on top made it 5x better. The only thing that would knock it out of the park is some salsa. My friend enjoyed their grilled fruit and Brie. I really enjoyed the berry lemon cheesecake waffle. If you're planning a Saturday or Sunday visit you definitely want to make a reservation! Based off my first visit I would have give this place 4 stars. The drinks are delicious, the food is incredible with good portions, and everything of course looks great visually as well. The main con the first visit was that service was extremely slow and there was a drink ordered that was completely forgotten about, however they were clearly short staffed and when we did have service she was very apologetic and friendly and comped the beverage so we had no complaints. We went back this month for my birthday and while everything we did have was once again delicious, they were out of a decent portion of the menu. Off the top of my head they were out of all flavors of deviled eggs, pulled pork, tuna for the poke stack and poke bowl, risotto balls, some wines, and a couple other things I don't recall. The first couple times the waitress said something we wanted was out we didn't mind and pivoted, especially since she said those were the only items they were out of. However, it quickly became evident that was not the case. She said the reason was it was Sunday and they are only open Thursday-Sunday so they often run out of stock during the Sunday rush. Like I said earlier, the last time I was there on a Sunday there was no issue with items being unavailable, and I feel like if this is a recurring issue maybe that's something that should be looked at when ordering for the week? But I also am not in the restaurant business so who knows maybe this isn't that unusual. It was just a bummer to go for my birthday excited to try certain things, only to ultimately end up with a chicken Caesar salad (which was still good though!). There were still pros with this recent visit, again everything looked and tasted great and the service was friendly and much quicker than the previous visit. The mimosa flights are fun and there's a ton of flavors to choose from. We got a seasonal peach toast appetizer to share and it was so good. I look forward to coming back soon to give it another shot and will update once I do!

Very impressed…read more After a long search for breakfast spots on Father's Day morning, My Garden Cafe was the last option we tried that surprisingly had no wait time. Every other spot had lines out the door but here, we walked right in and were seated immediately. The server came to take our order right away. I got the South of the Border Tri Tip sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was just alright, but I believe that's just a personal preference. To me, it felt a bit oily and did not have very much flavor. The sweet potato fries, on the other hand, were literally out of this world. They were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. They had a great flavor too. They paired perfectly with their fresh and light ranch. The portion was quite large and on the affordable side. The server came by frequently to check on us and provide refills despite it being very busy and bustling. They were doing a fantastic job as they were practically running around to serve all the tables. My Garden Cafe looks like a very local mom and pop type of cafe despite having multiple locations throughout the valley. It is casual and very homey. The decor is super adorable and looks like a Hobby Lobby exploded inside of there. Despite being quite small, there is a ton of seating. There is a small section of bar seating with TVs which is nice for watching whatever sports match they have on. I was very impressed by My Garden Cafe!

Looked like a nice place I wish I could try. Went in open minded and hoping for a good experience. Sadly I was not able to this with my family because of improper communication and overall lack of communication. Went in around 10:45 was told a 20 minute wait by a gentleman. 20 minutes is not bad, not that many people on the waitlist at the time and everything was reasonable. Waited 30 minutes and checked in with the hostess given the time we waited as well as the fact that I noticed plenty of other groups that came after I did get seated first. When we checked in we were told yet another 25 min on top of the 30 minutes I have already waited. Having been a worker in the food industry I try to be very considerate and patient as a customer. I understand things can get busy and things can change. However, having a group of 3 take up table that could seat a group of 5+ then and be told to wait 25 more minutes on top of 30 minutes (almost an hour total from the original 20) I decided to take my business elsewhere. Hope the current system they have can improve and I hope I can try it one day. read more

14 / 15 bucks for an omelette with no bacon or sausage? Ill pass. Seems kinda greedy to me. Are these eggs super special or what? Lol. A family of 4 with drinks is looking at just shy of a $ 100 breakfast or lunch when the check comes, that's with before adding bacon or sausage. Then you add the chaotic menu with aliens all over it, and Im left wondering, did I miss something here? This business model is confusing. 15 dollar vege omelette plates made by hippy, tree hugging alien lovers. Okay, now it makes sense! Wierd! Good luck! read more

This place is really great. Their menu is huge, their portions are huge. But the best part is they don't only not skimp on portions, but it is high quality and fresh tasting. I've eaten here now 3 times in the last week. The first was really good, but the second and third were just as good, so now I know they are consistent too. You can tell they are new and still learning, but the folks really seem to care about each person that walks in and about each plate they server.
