We had a wonderful dining experience... although my son pouted because you don't serve waffles, but he loved the pancakes. Love the omelette selection... I had the crab omelette, it was worth every penny. Thank you for the good experience, we will return read more

We ordered two breakfasts. Service was great; the food was mediocre and overpriced at that. $37 for two omelets, plus the tip.

This place is so overpriced and the food isn't so great. It was $15 for my omelette!! I don't understand why this place gets busy. They cheap out on the ingredients and the service wasn't that good. I told her that the omelette isn't worth the price and I couldn't finish it because it wasn't that good but she didn't offer anything. On the menu, it says if we don't like the food, we can get it for free. read more

Was excited to go here based on the glowing reviews. Two stars, one each for the amazing coffee and prompt service. I ordered the breakfast burrito, only ate half as it was incredibly bland. My father ordered the lake taco omelette; also extremely bland.$36 before tip. Doubt I will be back unless it's for a to go cup of coffee. read more

Tried to come here for breakfast on Sunday and the wait was over an hour. Could not even get in to try the food. They need to make changes.

Me and my husband went to eat here for the first time. We were greeted so warmly. The whole restaurant is so eclectic and awesome. I talked to our waiter and he said his mom and him opened the restaurant. It is so quaint and cute. The food was fantastic. You can see the cook from an opening and we looked over and we told him it was fantastic. He is a great cook. We will come back again and again. It made me in a happy mood for the whole day. What more can you ask if a restaurant. If you haven't gone there yet do yourself a favor and run there!!! read more

my boyfriend & i did sunday breakfast here. the food was good, but it was not amazing. part of me feels that just might have been the dish i picked. (i want to come back to try something else instead). but, aside from the food, the staff was incredibly nice. they have a very cute set up outside, & i love that they treat dogs like customers too! the place could be a little bigger. it was a little crammed, but if you sit outside, you're in the clear. it was a very nice place, but not memorable as i was hoping it would be. i would rate it between 3-4 stars, but because of the staff being so attentive and nice, i give it 4! read more

This place was awesome! Their banana pancakes are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! You could seriously share this with someone else because of how generous the serving is! Their California omelette was also very good! Make sure you go in before 2 pm because they close earlier but it's worth the wait and waking up early for! read more

This is our new go to for awesome breakfasts and amazing lunches!! We've been several times and have never been disappointed! The staff is friendly, always a "hello" when you walk in the door! I have had the eggs Benedict several times, very delicious, but decided to try something new this visit. Tried the tuna melt sandwich, it was TUNAmendous!! The portions are large, the sides are all tasty. So glad they found a way to "Squeeze Into Modesto!!! Lol read more

Amazing breakfast. Fluffiest pancakes I've ever had. Good omelette. Excellent vegetarian options.

After being ignored at a previous breakfast spot for 20 minutes, this place greeted us with open arms the moment we walked in. The food service was amazing and the food, even better! We work in the industry which makes it sometimes hard to find good places to eat but the Squeeze In was spot on! It's been a while since I've had a good breakfast, I definitely recommend read more

Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed! The restaurant was very small, but eclectic. Great, large selection of menu options. And the food was great too! Halfway through our meal we talked about when we would return. Why close at 2pm? I wouldn't hesitate to have an omelette for dinner! read more

So glad I stopped in here! I wish I would have come much sooner. The restaurant itself is so cute and unique and has a really cool vibe. I got a breakfast burrito with turkey sausage, green salsa, and avocado and my boyfriend got a breakfast sandwich- nice big portion size and both of them were bomb! The staff was friendly and our server Jared was awesome- knowledgeable, prompt, and attentive. Will definitely be returning!! Thanks Modesto Squeeze In!!! read more

Food is just ok, doesn't merit the wait. Staff is friendly, kept up on drinks. Came here on a Sunday at around 12. Waited about half hour for just two people. Seemed unorganized, we waited outside and the only two times waitstaff came out to call a name, it was the same name, they were already seated. If people went inside to ask about their wait, they seemed to get seated right away. Sat outside, wasn't too hot with all the umbrellas for shade. Inside very busy and cramped. read more

This place has horrible customer service! It's a shame because the food is quite good. I called one morning excited to have breakfast at one of my favorite places when I called to place the order they told me they were too busy to take my order over the phone for pickup. What type of restaurant would turndown good business because they are "too busy"? Truly disappointed and will never give my business to a company so rude and unprofessional! read more

Squeeze In is a good place to eat but it is very pricey, It has pretty descent breakfast and lunch I think that they can lower the prices a little and it might be a 5 star. The location is a really good spot not next to that much breakfast and lunch places. read more

Absolutely horrible service. Went to the desk and asked what the wait was. Got told 30 min and then ignored for 5 min while I stood there. So I left. Guess they don't want my money. Won't be back. read more

Very expensive for what is offered. 4 of us had breakfast ranging from the Mighty Aztec omelette, to one of their eggs Benedict options. We also had the foo, and a scramble type breakfast with eggs, bacon, and potatoes I think? Anyway while the food tasted good, we expected to be wow'ed for the price paid. $50 for two adults and a child's meal is outrageous considering my wife and I had water with our meals. Our friends paid $36 for two meals. The food was average. It was simple omelettes and breakfast combos that could easily be made at home for cheaper, and probably better tasting as well. read more

My family's favorite place for breakfast! We were so excited to have a little piece of Truckee here. It's a little pricey, but they usually give BIG portions and the atmosphere is a fun one. read more

I have been waiting to try this place - I do love that there is another restaurant (not bar) that I can get a Bloody Mary (BM) at in the mornings and it was delicious! The atmosphere and service was definitely 5 stars, I am giving 3 stars because $55 for breakfast for 2 adults and 1 child was a little steep for us. I can go to better spots for WAYYY less money. I can see us coming back during the summer to sit outside and have a BM but I do not see us doing much more than that. read more

Service is ok. Food is not even that good. I ordered an omelette with cheese and when I got my food the eggs were so cold the cheese wasn't melted and cold. I also ordered a fruit bowl and all the fruit was horrible. Dont waste your time and or money on this place read more

I was SO excited to hear this place was opening up. Close to home and with outside patio (so we can bring our dog along with us.) We've been 3 or 4 times...despite the wonderful, friendly, pet attentive staff, we won't be back. The food is just awful. We had breakfast the first 2 times. Figured we'd try 1 last time with lunch items. Still bad. Food is not very flavorful. Standard bacon n eggs are okay, but their omlettes were soggy n the flavor combos are just not my thing I guess. My son eats his burgers with no produce or condiments n he didn't eat half his burger. Said it had no taste. I wish them great success, but I won't be back. read more

Soooo.....pretty nice ambiance. The interior is cool and hippyish and the music is totally rad. The food....ehhhh....not so great. Wife ordered a breakfast burrito and it was wrong. Had to send it back. I had a traditional breakfast plate. Bland and overpriced. We ordered two coffees. Just coffee. SEVEN DOLLARS for two coffees? Even Starbucks isn't that expensive. All in all, we most likely won't go back which is sad because this side of town really needs a good place to eat. Good luck! read more

Had brunch today here. I ordered the eggs benedicts. Muffin was so tough, really needed a saw to cut it. Hollandaise sauce was breaking down. Actually tasted like had cheese in it. Also, BLT was ordered with fries. Fries came and was on the very cool side. On the staff's behave, they did bring more fries, warmer this time. And discounted ticket. It will be awhile before go back. read more

Incredible customer service, fantastic food. This place is small & popular so be ready to wait for a table, I assure you, the wait is worth it! read more

I have been coming here since the day it opened. Excellent food and Laurie is great. However, the " loyalty" plan "eggheads" doesn't work. I like loyalty plans but I get no info for all the times I've ate here and I did not get my coupon for my birthday. I tried to log in and check and Modesto doesn't have that option. Disappointing. read more

I am so happy there is a very good breakfast/brunch place in the area! The food, atmosphere, and service are great and I will definitely be back again soon! read more

I was very disappointed with my first visit here. The food looked great but thats as close as we got to food just by looking. The staff were bickering with each other and it seemed unprofessional to argue about money and payments. When we had been sitting waiting for our table for what seemed like 30 minutes an older man walked in and was hugging and talking to one of the staff members. The staff member took this older gentlemen to an open table and sat him down and was serving him. He didn't get his name taken or even wait to get a table he just got sat down the moment he walked in. Favoritism is what happened, and believe me the 30 minute drive out there wasn't worth the experience I had at this place. read more

LvE everything about this place! Hail Mary ... A meal in glass. The food is great, atmosphere is fun and the staff, friendly. Can't wait to go back. read more

Food is good customer service is ok but definitely overpriced.Ive been there more than 1 time.

So delicious! Both the crab melt and crab Benedict are phenomenal. The biscuits and gravy are bomb as well... actually everything is good you can't go wrong. The place is cute and service is always friendly! read more

Good food, the menu a bit off putting for me personally, but you may feel different. Yelp wants more but that's all I have to say.

This place looks cool. Customer service was great, food was not. Had an omelette and a taco salad. I've had better taco salads at hospitals. The omelette sounded great on the menu but was poorly executed. The hash browns tasted like they were cooked in old grease. The biscuit was delicious, the gravy was not. I should have had the biscuit with butter and jelly. I was really jazzed to try this place, then was really disappointed. The menu looks awesome, the food just wasn't. It's also a bit pricy for the area. I don't mind paying, but the food should wow me. read more

Awesome food , awesome staff, Laurie, Ken so courteous and patient. First time there unfortunately worse experience because of the element there. Horrible week just wanted to go to a nice and calm place to enjoy a nice brunch with my son whom is" WHITE " (as you read further will understand my reason for caps and emphasis of white) was paying, unfortunately was not a great idea. Wish the staff or manager would've stepped in and notified the manager/ owner that this element was being a real problem. Nothing like brunch with a side of activisim and hate towards the "white people, how white people are the problem"! ugggh, unforgetable experience, what a shame. Ken and Laurie thank you for doing your best in lightening the mood, God Bless You, but it was ruined once we sat down. Hopefully the owner will step in and start walking around and let people know that there is no room for such behavior in such a hip and what seemed like a calm establishment. Good luck, and your wait staff deserves a raise for what they endure!! HOrrible just horrible!! read more

This is one of the only places for brunch in Modesto and I am not going to complain. The food was really good, the portions are huge, the average person won't even finish everything. The atmosphere is interesting it's like an Alien vibe to it with the decor. The restaurant seating is pretty limited so it might get quite busy on weekends but it's worth the wait. read more

See all

I was very disappointed. First the place is way too small, I guess that's why they call it squeeze in. We felt rushed seeing the people waiting outside so it was hard to enjoy the experience. The service was terrible, we had to ask someone that we were ready to order! For being so small you think someone would of noticed us but they just walked by. No one asked how we were or how are food was, or even if we needed refills on our drinks. The food was ok , but DEFINITELY NOT worth the price. I will not be back. read more

Love this place for breakfast reminds me of Santa Cruz vibe inside and the staff is excellent

This place was amazing ! First of all , it's hella cute ! But most importantly , the food was amazing ! They have a wide range of stuff ! And the customer service was awesome ! It didn't even take long to get our food ! I'm so glad we finally came here ! The only bad thing about it was that they don't have waffles But hopefully they will add some to their menu ! read more

Great place for breakfast. Good food, fast service and they service mimosas and Bloody Mary's--always a plus. The walls are signed by customers and the staff is friendly. Worth a visit for breakfast read more

It's ok. A little pricey but good. Tasty food. Hash browns a little on the greasy side. Omelette was tasty and fresh but was built like an egg burrito. The eggs were cooked without the ingredients and then ingredients were placed inside after. Not mixed into the eggs prior to cooking. Not my preference. A little weird. Overall, I would go again to try something different. Good service. Friendly staff. read more
