I met a friend here for lunch for our first visit. Greeted by a friendly server upon entering and given a choice of seating. Ordered a beverage while I waited for my friend. I frequented the original Squeeze In in Truckee, CA since it opened, so I am familiar with the menu. If you aren't, be prepared to peruse it for a bit. So many delicious offerings! After being assured by Jared that we should take our time to visit, my friend tackled the menu. We both decided on the Danco Taco Salad, mine with ground beef and my friend chose grilled chicken and our own choices for salad dressing. I'm glad we ordered the half salad option because it was perfect! Delicious, well seasoned and all ingredients were fresh. We went in on a Saturday around 10:45am and it was pretty busy. We were a group of 6 adults and one child, and I just want to point out that this place is NOT good for groups of more than 4. We waited almost an hour for a table because their tables only accommodate 2-4, from what I could see. I think there was one table that fit 6 but that one was taken. The servers were friendly though and they checked in on us-they offered to seat us when two tables that opened up, but they were on opposite sides of the restaurant. I ordered the Spanish flay omelette and saw it came with a side of potatoes so I asked the waitress "It looks like there are potatoes inside the omelette and if there are, I'll choose a different side so I don't have two servings of potatoes" and she said "No there are no potatoes inside the omelette." I kind of insisted that there were and said they're even pictured on the menu but she insisted there were not, so I went ahead and ordered it with the potatoes. Of course when the omelette arrived it had potatoes already in it lol. So I was stuck with ALOT of potatoes. My bf ordered the racy Tracy omelette, a friend had the hangover omelette, and we all enjoyed them. The eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly. As far as prices, a few dollars more than you might pay at Denny's but much better food. We first come into the equation of looking at the menu for 10min waiting for our drinks to be ordered. We then start off with the "baby bannannas" that was mashed kindly the first visit my sister said but were in big chunks for my 6month nephew to eat. We then get the bacon bennidict (my mother and i) we come to figure out our poached eggs were hard boiled on both of our plates... so thats two times they had a chance to accomplish this. My sister ordered the Juevos rancheros, "Wheres the Juevo!?" It's completely gone, my sister brings it to the waitress attention. My sister tries to make light of the subject.... with a laugh but the waitress just grabs the plate... no apology just looks and 180 to the kitchen and comes back literally 1min later and says "its not the prettiest but here you go" LMAO WHAT DID SHE JUST SAY? this time the egg whites are completely raw, we also ordered the cream cheese french toast which tasted spoiled like the cream cheese turned. at this point our frustration just turns this situation into a comedy. We checked it out today after church and the place was packed! I was amazed! The service crews are all very polite and very welcoming. Food is good too. All the ingredients are fresh. My only comment is that the food that I ordered, The Spanish Flay omelette, its a little under seasoned. Also the side dish County Potatoes. Came in today for there grand opening. It was crazy busy as expected because they were giving free food and mimosas away . Got there at 1120 didn't sit down until after 1 . The hostess was extremely nice and gave us mimosas while we waited. When we finally were seated we were starving! My friend ordered eggs Benedict with side biscuits gravy I got the racy tracy omelette no mushrooms add jalapeños. When they brought our food out it was cold but tasted delicious so we did not care . But as soon as I got into my omelette it was full of mushrooms and no jalapeños. So I told waiter and he told us it was his mistake he forgot to mention no mushrooms. Ok so I said we were in a hurry because now it's 2:04 and we have been there since 11 and we have to pick up our kids from school. So just please bring me a sandwich Togo . I ate a couple bites of my friends biscuits and gravy . Now the waiter was acting like it was an inconvenience to get us the right order and was kind of rude. Plus he kept disappearing. So the home fries were delicious. Biscuits and gravy he was good. I wish I could've tried the omelette because it looked delicious . The turkey club was just OK I've had better . I asked for avacodo and again they forgot to put on there .garlic fries were very good . So I know it was the first day for Squeeze In . So I want to give them another chance. Came here for breakfast on Saturday morning. We were told it would be 10 to 15 minute wait for 3 people, but we waited for exactly 30 minutes. We ordered the Spanish flay, my big fat Greek omelette, and queen maggie. The prices are a little high but you do get big portions. But I was really annoyed when the manager or owner (white haired lady with braids) came out and just took our drinks away when we weren't finished without fucking asking and was concerned more about the dishwasher washing them on time. I'm a bigger guy and have yet to finish the jack johnson pancakes in one sitting. Anyone with the negative comments are just nitpicking. Love Squeeze In! Such a nice breakfast and lunch joint in Modesto, and has a more homemade feel than any popular breakfast chain. The omelette are so creative; you can get almost anything wrapped in four eggs. Pancakes are delicious as well and serving sizes for everything are massive. The food is always plentiful, fresh and delicious! And my #1 concern, CUSTOMER service, is always on point at this place. The wait staff is very attentive and hospitable. If I had to dig super deep and find one flaw it's that I always sit outside and forget to ask them to turn the heaters on!! I'm jus naturally a chilly person and their patio is very well shaded! BUT they have heaters so just ask them to turn one on!! lol (so you see that's actually MY flaw not theirs) I hope squeeze in is around for years to come because we will definitely always come back. Okay, so the first couple of times I came here, everything was fine. The servers were so so sweet and the hostess was a little stressed, but not at all rude. The food really isn't that great, nothing to call home about. It's decently priced and you get a lot of it, but it's not something that makes me want to go all the time. The only reason I went a few times was because they have vegetarian and vegan options, which is wonderful. But the last couple times I went, I interacted with the manager, whose name I believe is Kathy. Kathy, when she gets stressed, is probably the worst person that works there. She is so incredibly rude. Like it's actually ridiculous. She is condescending and just insulting. I completely understand that it's stressful to have so many people coming in and I'm sure some people have gotten upset at the very long wait time, but there's absolutely no excuse to take that out on a nice customer who hasn't done anything to you. And there's even less of an excuse to take it out on your staff, which she did very openly in front of a bunch of customers. You could just tell that she was trying to hard to keep her cool, but any time I said anything that at all annoyed her she couldn't hold back from giving me sass and talking down to me. I ordered banana pancakes and she messed up my order, then when I went back she tried to blame ME for it, saying that I shouldn't say "banana pancakes" but should say "Jack Johnson pancakes" next time? What? I've ordered them as banana pancakes before, no reason to put the blame on me if you misheard or put it into the system incorrectly. Then I called her later that day to tell her she was rude and she still had the audacity to say "well, I'm not sure what more you want from me now" and then hung up on me. I don't know if I'll be going back, but I'll probably go when I have all the patience in the world to show the manager some kindness that she definitely needs in her life. Tried this place for the first time a couple days ago...it was okay. My friend and I got the same meal, half and half Benedict's with the spicy chorizo and mushroom bacon, and potatoes. First of all, the eggs were Poached over hard. That's part of what I expect with eggs benedict, the runny yolks, mixing with the Hollandaise sauce. Super disappointing. The Benedict's themselves were okay, nothing amazing. I wish they gave you smaller portions and cheaper prices. For me, there's no way I can eat 3 Benedicts, plus potatoes. The potatoes were good, nice and crunchy! It was nice to finally try this older, but don't think I'll be back. Better cheaper places for brunch in Modesto. If you are spending $15+ a plate for breakfast, might as well go to surlas and get the unlimited champagne for only $10 more. read more

Modesto finally has a great breakfast place that isn't in a bar or brewery! I walk past squeeze inns whenever I'm walking to the grocery store, so I've been waiting for this place to open since the first sign went up. Especially given the dearth of good breakfast places around here (sure commonwealth has a great brunch, but there's something weird about trying to fix your hangover with food from the place that gave you one...) I was excited to give this place a try. Even with all the hype, it lived up to and exceeded all of my expectations. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. I have yet to see it not completely packed on a weekend, but even when it's totally crowded I've been able to get breakfast togo within about twenty minutes.
