The reply to my negative review from someone at showcase
Nicki P.

UPDATE - then upon me giving an honest and negative review they reply that they've tried multiple times to connect with me. BOLD FACED LIE! Today is the first call and email I've gotten - ironically because I'm putting the heat on. I won't let this go until it's made right.... It's unfortunate that I'm having to write this review. My buying experience with AARON was GREAT! I didn't feel pressured. He let me look at it before taking my info to test drive it. It was literally the easiest and low pressure car dealership experience I've ever had! I would recommend him. HOWEVER, Upon filling out paperwork, I told the manager, Mike, that I am only approving one credit pull and explained my bad experience with Nissan a few years ago - and that they took my info and ran through 12 inquiries which immediately dropped my scores. He assured me it's one pull. Next thing you know I've got FOUR inquiries for places I did not authorize. And again, it immediately lowered my scores. Now I'm getting the run around saying they sent letters to the bureaus. I've been down this road before and I know what it takes to get these removed and they do too. They know it's not a good look for them to request removal for their unauthorized credit pulls. There's a process but I know it doesn't take this long. As soon as I put pressure on Nissan, it was removed within a week. So here I am doing the same thing with Honda. I'm not going to say don't shop there . I'm going to say beware of the finance and customer service team. Lindsay Voss is the name they gave me of the person supposedly figuring out the credit thing. I've received no communication from her or the manager who processed my app about rectifying this situation. So unfortunately because of this issue, I have to write a negative review. This is typical of most dealerships. Just beware of that part of the process. But again, the buying part and talking to Larry, the sales guy was super simple.

My new car

Showcase Honda provided me exceptional service today. Lizzy did an amazing job showing me every vehicle I requested to look at. She had tons of information about the cars on the lot and with guidance from Jerry Green(GM), we were able to get a really good deal. Thank you Jerry for taking your time with me today and working out such a fantastic deal. I'm glad I came here first. Don't miss out on a great deal guys. Ask for Lizzy. You will not be disappointed.

UPDATE: After leaving this review, Sean Hoopes reached out and resolved the issue for me. I really appreciate that he took the time to listen to what happened and make things right. He was apologetic, helpful, professional, and made me feel like my concerns were actually being taken seriously. While my original experience was frustrating, I think it's important to give credit when a business takes accountability and fixes a problem. I'm very appreciative of how the situation was ultimately handled. Cassie helped me out during my appointment and she was very apolgetic about the situation as well and went above and beyond during my appointment.

Definitely the best car buying experience to date thanks to Christian at Showcase Honda! He was kind, knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. He was thorough and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. We also discovered we had a lot in common, which really added a genuine human touch to the experience. It didn't feel transactional at all--it felt like working with someone who truly cared about helping. To top it off, after learning that I love the Ninja Turtles, he surprised me with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectible set. Such a thoughtful gesture that made the whole experience even more memorable. I've never felt this great after purchasing a car. Thank you, Christian! I will definitely keep giving Showcase my business and you should too!

Ron went above and beyond to get me into the perfect car for me, and worked with me to make a deal on a new Civic within my budget. This was a refreshing car-buying experience.

The first day I came in we went for a test drive and I really liked the car so I signed for it the same day. HOWEVER, whoever I spoke to in finance, I believe is name is Matt, just flat out lied to me. I was offered an extended warranty which we ended up negotiating down to $20 a month for the duration of my loan (meaning if I paid the loan in 12 months I would pay $240 for the warranty but still keep the coverage for 7 years). I signed for this. A week later the loan appears in my bank account and it's $2,000 more than I had signed for. I went in person and spoke to a different employee from the Volkswagen side of the dealership who was very kind, I forget his name. But he gave me a printout of my paperwork, something Matt never did and said it would be emailed to me but never happened, and showed me that the warranty was actually a "flat rate" $2,000 fee and NOT the $20/mo I signed for and was promised. This second finance employee was helpful and we cancelled my warranty, but be aware for anyone who is offered this warranty. I was lied to and there is a high likelihood you and many other customers have been lied to as well. Shady practices from their finance department.

Extremely Disappointed…read more I brought my Subaru to the dealership because it was experiencing a transmission issue. Instead of focusing on the actual problem, I was presented with an estimate totaling over $16,000 in repairs. Some of the items they claimed needed to be repaired simply did not make sense. For example, they said my radiator needed to be replaced. If my radiator had actually been failing the way they claimed, my vehicle would have been overheating--which it wasn't. I knew several of the recommended repairs were unnecessary. Because the estimate seemed so excessive, I sought a second opinion from AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care on Van Buren in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. They inspected the vehicle, confirmed the actual issue was the transmission, and told me that many of the repairs recommended by the dealership were not needed. AAMCO repaired my Subaru Crosstrek for roughly one-third of what Subaru wanted to charge, and two months later the transmission is running better than ever. In my opinion, the dealership lost my business because they attempted to sell me thousands of dollars' worth of repairs that my vehicle did not need. A trustworthy service department should diagnose the actual problem and recommend only the repairs that are necessary--not overwhelm customers with an inflated estimate. If you need transmission work or want a second opinion, I strongly encourage you to contact AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care on Van Buren in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

I was nervous as it was being shipped and it's 2wks waiting arrival and worried it would get sold under our nose after putting money down for it, but Alex was amazing keeping us up to date on its arrival and the morning of its "shipping inspection" before we come to get it and finalize paperwork on purchasing. Our experience was professional. Thank you Camelback Kia as Horne wasted our time and energy for 4 days, our business was meant to be with Camelback Kia. I also liked how their lot wasn't overwhelming with cars like Horne, I was able to find parking for my trade-in car. Best part was my Telluride was fresh off the trailer with 9mi on it never set on the lot, well worth the 2hr round trip!

Perhaps they have stingy spam filters? I'll just paste my email to them (sorry, it's a bit long) below, at least somebody may read it! Lord know, Camelback Kia doesn't care. ************************** Good morning, My apologies for the cold email, but there is no way to leave a voicemail at Camelback Kia after hours. There are only computers to talk with. I am emailing because I work during the day and I need to communicate some concerns with my service appointment yesterday. My name is ***** *********. I have two Kias, and I am calling you about the 2024 Kia Sportage that I took in for service yesterday. I dealt with **** when I dropped it off; when my wife and daughter picked it up later, **** was gone for the day and we're not sure who they dealt with. I'll cut to the chase. 1) Overcharge: Biggest issue. The total invoice was $900+. I visited your service dept for routine maintenance. **** showed me a colored card of maintenance options, and I picked the middle one -- I believe that was $159.95. At 3pm I got an email asking me to approve services. I opted in for the Complete Fuel System service since it said it needed to be done every 2 years/20k miles. I believe that price was $249.95. So the total bill should have been ~$400 plus tax, etc. Unfortunately I wasn't there to pick up the car and my wife/daughter didn't have any context, so they paid for it. ADDITIONALLY, when I spoke with **** earlier on the phone he assured me that he would apply the $70 internet coupon -- I do not see that on the invoice. 2) Pickup: A little more on the pickup. When my wife asked why it was so expensive, the individual tried to turn the conversation towards a question about whether the dealership "smelled like clean clothes or food" which was strange since she was trying to get clarity on why the cost was so high. It was strange. 3) Communication: I dropped the car off even before my 8am appt time on Monday. I didn't hear from anyone until that service confirmation email arrived at around 3pm. After I signed off, I had to call the next day at 11am to find out what was happening with the car. In response, **** told me that he actually called us twice to let us know the car was ready -- once the previous night, once again that morning. However, unfortunately he called my other daughter who drives my 2022 Kia that was not being serviced. This was despite me giving him my phone number when I dropped the car off and him writing it down. 4) More Communication: As I mentioned above, it's a bit odd to me that there's no way to speak with a call center or even even leave a voicemail after hours. When you select "option 2" for a service inquiry, the phone just rings and rings. That's not a good experience. I'm not trying to pick on ****. He seems like a nice guy. But this is unacceptable. Before I leave a bad review and take my two Kias for service elsewhere in the future, I'm hoping that you gentlemen can make this right for me. My phone number is ***-***-****, but I'm very busy during the day -- so text responses are fine, and even better are email responses. Thank you,

They are building quality cars with outstanding technology. Their warranties are exceptional and the vehicles are attractive and dependable. We traded in a 14 year old Sonata we've owned since 2012 with 108,000 miles on it so we know first hand the build quality. The most impressive part of the experience was dealing with Dakota Ferch who worked hard to get us the car and deal we wanted. Can highly recommend Dakota and Camelback Hyundai without reservation.

Looking for a dealership that will damage your car, leave you with new problems, and then take no…read moreresponsibility? Unfortunately, that was my experience with Camelback Hyundai: I brought my 2023 Hyundai Elantra Limited Hybrid to Camelback Hyundai in June 2026 to replace the catalytic converter. From the beginning, I was given the runaround about my vehicle and the loaner. I was told the loaner could not be taken out of state, and I explained that this was a problem because I had a family emergency that required me to travel out of state with my vehicle. I was then told they would put a rush on my repair so I could get my car back in time. They gave me a specific date and time when my vehicle would be ready, but they did not meet the deadline they gave me. When I finally picked up my car, I discovered bird droppings that had damaged the paint on the hood and trunk, along with new dents on my vehicle. None of this damage was there when I dropped it off. I immediately returned to the dealership, and after reviewing their own photos, they acknowledged the damage was not there when I brought it in. Ishmeal knew I had a family emergency and didn't know exactly when I would be back. He specifically told me not to worry and that he would take care of the damage when I returned. When I eventually followed up, he said he would "have to look into it." The damage was never addressed. Now, I'm dealing with additional issues following their repair. My A/C isn't cooling properly, and there is a strong rotten-egg/exhaust smell coming into the cabin. When I called Ishmeal, he told me neither issue would be covered because "the catalytic converter is on the bottom." He also said the rotten-egg smell was from my battery expanding. My service receipt clearly shows that Camelback Hyundai replaced Part #28510-03HN0 -- the exhaust manifold catalytic assembly. On the 1.6L Elantra Hybrid, this integrated assembly is located in the engine bay and bolted to the engine, meaning the repair involved work in the same area as other engine-bay components, including the A/C system. The fact that these symptoms appeared after the repair warrants inspection of the exhaust gasket and A/C components that may have been accessed during the repair. The 2023 Elantra Hybrid also uses a high-voltage lithium battery system with a 12V lithium auxiliary battery integrated into the hybrid battery assembly under the rear seat. If the dealership's explanation is that a battery is expanding, overheating, or venting sulfur-smelling fumes into the cabin, that warrants immediate inspection as well. If a covered hybrid battery component is found to be defective, it should fall under Hyundai's applicable 10-Year/100,000-Mile Hybrid System Warranty. If the A/C or exhaust issue is determined to be related to the catalytic converter repair or workmanship, it should be addressed under Hyundai's 12-Month/12,000-Mile Service Parts and Labor Warranty. What is most frustrating is that this is not an isolated issue. The dealership acknowledged damage occurred while my vehicle was in its possession, Ishmeal promised to address it, and it was never resolved. Now I have new mechanical concerns following the repair and am being told they are unrelated without a proper inspection. I brought my car to a Hyundai dealership expecting professional service and accountability. Instead, I've experienced delays, conflicting information, and no resolution. I will not be returning to Camelback Hyundai's service department.

I showed up and had to park in the convenience store parking lot next door, because it looked like a pretty tight lot. They said that was no problem. I sat and looked at my phnoe for a little bit until the battery almost died (it was alrfeady low when I got there). They had charging cords on the coffee table with adapters for every phone. I plugged my phone in and sat it on the table and got comfortable for a longer wait, but moments later, true to the 1.5 hour estimate, they said my truck was ready. They advised me of some sort of leak on the front axle, but told me to check with the dealership because it might be under warranty. I appreciate that. I'll definitely be back for future service.

After stellar Yelp reviews (4 plus) guided us to AMC, paid over $3000 (for a broken serpentine…read morebelt, AC belts, new radiator etc., with all parts warranted per AMC). Confident and relieved we'd found a "go to" mechanic in Phoenix, one month later the car began experiencing intermittent power steering outage issues. Our son (in college and alone far from home) immediately brought the car back in, but AMC essentially refused to pop the hood, or otherwise even look at the car "unless the driver could replicate the issue". Two weeks later power steering and AC completely failed on a busy highway (due to a leaking radiator hose that ultimately fried the alternator). Paid an additional $800.00 (plus towing) to a competitor to fix what AMC should've caught. Also, AMC hours are now M-Th and of course this emergency happened on a Friday. First time Yelp has led me astray. 9/9/2026 - Owner Gilberto immediately reached out on Yelp below apologizing and asking for submission of additional repairs documentation to handle the case "fairly". To be fair, I did not go into specifics of prior phone interactions with Gilberto - owner - after the car was first towed to AMC and the had to be retowed to another shop due to AMC's inability to handle after hours emergencies (eg., no closed parking, nor key drop or other available). While all calls with were professional and courteous, Gilberto was ultimately unhelpful and disappointing (leaving us with limited options). The fact that AMC refused to do anything after the car was brought in by our son (for scary warning signs similar to the original problems) just prior to a catastrophic (towable) failure on a busy roadway is what is unacceptable. Not saying AMC is a bad business, they just really blew it. For minor car maintenance (oil changes and tire repairs) AMC is probably great. For major car repairs go elsewhere in the valley, please.
