    Spicy Chicken Regular
    Rhonda F.

This order BBQ Beef (Bulgogi) Regular was fresh and packed with care. The Beef was extremely soft and flavorable. My sides included Macaroni salad, kimchi and Korean broccoli all fresh and delicious. In addition I ordered their Spicy Chicken Regular combo which allows for three sides. I picked the fresh kimchi., seaweed salad, and cabbage all fresh flavorable and delicious. I ordered both as takeout and again smartly packed.

I had a combo with 2 meats and 3 sides. The food was definitely filling and it was fairly quick to come out after ordering. This place doesn't have much for an ambiance but that's ok. I wanted a quick meal to take back to my hotel (Hilton) and it was less than half a mile so that was a win. The cashier was courteous and straightforward and allowed me to ask for double serving for noodles as a side dish.

Had lunch at Seoulicious a couple of days after they opened. I had the mini which comes with a main, choice of white or brown rice, and two sides. Recommend the fish Jun! The spicy cucumbers were good while the Korean broccoli needed just a little something to give it a boost. The prominent flavor was sesame oil. About three separate people asked for sauces while I was there, so be prepared that currently their only sauce is the soy/tempura like sauce they serve with the fish Jun. BYO hot sauce if you gotta have it. Drink choices are limited: cans of coke, diet Coke, Dr. Pepper, and bottled water.

As a lover of KBBQ I was really excited to try out this new Korean BBQ togo restaurant in DTLB. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of options and the small portions. The service was decent once I began to ask questions as I was a bit confused on the portion sizing of the different plates. I thought the plates were a bit overpriced for the portions. I ordered the beef bugolgi mini it was pretty good and came with 2 sides. I chose kimchi' and spicy cucumber. All in all I wasn't too impressed and was a little surprised we weren't offered any sauces to go with our plates. But if you're in the DTLB area check it out maybe you'll feel differently.

I purchased the mini plate of beef and double of spicy cucumber. Meat and rice was good. However, spicy cucumber lacked flavor and was not spicy at all. I ordered online thinking I would beat the lunch rush, as I arrived I waited in line and waited for everyone to order since they were buying in person as I arrived to the cashier I said I was there to pick up my order for 12:28 pm, it was 12:32 pm and said it will be out in a few. I asked again at 12:40pm and I asked would it be best to just order in person? Cashier said yes, we prioritize in person first and then online. I said good to know and left. I don't understand why bother having an online ordering options if they won't fall through pick up time. I won't be there a next time.

Daughter was in town, so wanted to show her the new Korean restaurant so close to our home. Thus, we stopped in for carryout on a Saturday afternoon. Service was friendly and apologetic for the slow service. Food was really good. Due to its location, most business comes during the weekday when the area is busy because of the government buildings nearby. But they are also open on the weekend (when I didn't expect the owner/chef to be there), so figured I could compare/contrast the visits. Things were similar to my last visit, except for the following. Regular Kalbi plate - originally ordered and paid for a Meat Jun Regular ($23.95), but after a few minutes, the cashier apagogically told me that they were out. I don't remember a time when that was told to me SO late after I paid for my order. He suggested I get the Kalbi plate instead. We chose glass noodles, mac salad, and fish cakes as our side (it also comes with brown or white rice). The issue is that this plate took a very long time to be ready (probably more than 25 minutes...which is quite a bit when looking for carryout). To his credit, Ismael (the cashier) checked up on us and apologized, and offered a free side dish to munch on while we waited. When we did get home, we found the quality of the food to be great. It was 2 slices of LA-style kalbi (3 bones each). The marinade was very good, and the cook had done a very good job of cooking it to caramelize the flavors. The meat was very good, not grisly or too fatty. Definitely quite a few steps up from the not-so-good kalbi served at Hawaiian fast food places or even the ones served at AYCE Korean BBQ places. Bi Bim Bap ($19.95) - It was a large amount, on top of white rice. It was the same rice used in the Kalbi plate, but this dish more clearly showed that the rice wasn't cooked too well...bit dry. Bibimbap is made or broken by the side dishes (banchans) that are available. I liked the recipes used here...preferences for Korean banchans can vary, and these ones happen to coincide with my long held preferences, which tend to skew towards the vinegary side. As a whole though, the dish was too dry...it should have been offered with a side of Gochujang Bibimbap Sauce...instead it was drizzled on top. It was topped with a sad looking egg. It also could have done with more oil. Rectified both with some sesame oil and sauce from home...could have added an sunny side up egg, but at that point one is cooking their own dish and I didn't want to do that. So slow service this time, but appreciated the recognition.

Noticed this little place across from the Federal Courthouse in Long Beach. Casual Korean with various bowls (rice, protein, side) for about $15.00. They have a much larger selection but two of us popped in on a Saturday night to check out the Spicy Pork Bulgogi Bowl and the beef Bulgogi bowls. One can choose brown or white rice or a combo. You then get to choose one side; we both chose the cucumber kimchee. The meat is grilled to order so you wait about 7-8 minutes for your order to be filled. We ate in. The place was clean, had lots of table and friendly staff. Several take out orders were being filled and I can see this becoming a lunch for government employees and take home for all the nearby residents! Yummy.

Good food at reasonable prices for an "on the go" concept. The customer service is always excellent and the place can get crowded during lunch hours (weed days). The cook the meat to order so it may take a while. It's definitely a good place to eat at but be mindful of your time limits if you are going during your lunch break.

Seoulicious KBBQ was my husbands pick for dinner. I always ask him if he's checked Yelp prior to trying a new place... his response was "YES". Being a wife that picks her battles carefully... I just said great! On our way to Seoulicious KBBQ I read the reviews and was concerned but decided they deserved a chance. When we arrived two employees were sitting in the dining room scrolling through their phones. My husband and I made our way to the order desk and shortly thereafter, the gentleman that was visiting with the girl in the dining room, made his way to the register to take our order. A few moments later... A third employee, a girl, emerged from the back and completed taking our order while the gentleman went into the kitchen to I'm assuming prepare the meats we ordered. I thought it was strange that we were not asked if our food was to eat there or to take away. Our meal was packed up in a clear plastic to go container. We made our way to the dining room and looked for a clean table, but could not find one. Surprising because when we walked in, we found two employees visiting with each other as if they had nothing else to do. We selected a table near the window and I went back and asked the girl behind the register if she had towels that I could use to wipe down the table. She said she'd wipe that down for us and shortly there after did. I was surprised that she didn't take that moment to wipe down the rest of the tables that were dirty. After what appeared to be a very long wait our meals emerged from the kitchen. I was surprised that my Galbi short ribs were warm at best. I'm not certain how that could be if they would have just come off of the grill? The macaroni salad side that I selected was very sour and taste so I chose not to eat it. The corn didn't have a lot to it... I'm assuming it's likely frozen or straight out of a can. And the tofu was absolutely un edible. My husband sides included the kimchi which he said was acceptable... The pickled cabbage which he said was a bit soft which he also did not eat. At the end of the day for an $80 plus meal, we would've expected a bit more. Unless there is greater care taken to ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and ensure that the meals are properly prepared then I'm going to assume that this restaurant is likely going to struggle to stay afloat.

The clam chowder was thin, watery, and wasn't a favorite. My counterparts enjoyed the sea bass, as it light and delicate; the other accompaniments were not great and wasn't complementary to the bass at all. My filet mignon was well overcooked, so it was tough - pretty disappointing, considering that their steaks is what they're supposed to be known for? The garlic mashed potatoes was the highlight of the evening, as everyone at our table noted it was probably one of the best versions - thick, creamy, and very flavorful. I also tried their house Arnold Palmer - this was just not prepared well; the tea was not brewed correctly and was bitter, and there was hardly any lemonade in there. The apple tart, served with vanilla ice cream, was not your typical tart - it was thin and very phyllo-like; I really enjoyed it, even though it was much on the sweeter end; others were not much of a fan as it was not the expected version of a traditional tart. Service was fine, but a bit pushy - also, we didn't really appreciate the server's sense of humor much. They also weren't attentive, and it took some time to get an order update, obtain refills, and get our checks. I had to add A LOT of spicy paste to get it up to the level I wanted, but while at other restaurants I've lost the broth flavor when adding too much spice, the spicy paste just enhanced the tonkatsu broth. No gimmicks, no theatrics, just the steady hum of a grill that's probably seen more lunch rushes than most people have had hot meals. The teriyaki hits first -- simple, slightly sweet, familiar in the way comfort food should be. Chicken grilled with enough char to remind you someone actually stood over flame to make it happen, not a microwave or a shortcut. Portions are generous in that unspoken way working-class spots understand: you don't leave hungry, and nobody's trying to sell you nostalgia on a plate. What stands out more than anything is consistency. In a world where restaurants chase trends or reinvent themselves into oblivion, this place feels anchored. The kind of neighborhood spot that survives because it has to -- because people actually come back, not because it's marketed well online. The space itself carries layers of history. You can still feel the old identity underneath the newer polish, like a building remembering what it used to be even after a remodel. That kind of continuity is rare. It's not fine dining. It's not trying to be. It's lunch, dinner, and everything in between for people who work with their hands, clock in, and just need something reliable that doesn't waste their time. And sometimes, that's the highest praise you can give a place like this: it shows up every day, does its job, and doesn't pretend to be anything else.
