Featured in a lot of foodie lists and blogs, this place has been bookmarked for quite a while and I finally got to try it. It took a while for me because the location is a bit hard to find parking, and I often try to not go around central downtown / pioneer square area. I got the banh mi drip ($17) and a side of mango salad. But I ordered via Grubhub solely because I had to use their monthly credits, and they do mark it up quite a lot but with my credits and offers, it ended up being cheaper to book non-direct. The banh mi drip has very generous amounts of brisket and it is so flavorful. The brisket has just the right amount of meat and it has really good texture. Like I can associate this brisket to the nice BBQ briskets I have been! On the side is a dipping bone marrow broth, so think about this dish as kind of like a French dip sandwich, but better. Half a sandwich is enough for a light meal, but because I am going on a trip the next day, I finished it all and I was so stuffed, in a good way. The mango salad is like a papaya salad but with mangoes instead. Mangoes start to be in season so I can savor the freshness and sweetness of the mangos, contrasting with the slightly spicy and tangy fish sauce dressing that I enjoyed. Fish sauce in the states are very hit or miss, but this one worked out. Prices are a bit intimidating but given the portions of respective ingredients, I am okay with it. Ambiance 4, service 5, bahn mis 5+. I'm usually okay with sacrificing a little bit of hygiene for a truly authentic banh mi but at Saigon Drip, I didn't need to. The place offers a very authentic banh mi while also having a clean, modern atmosphere. We ordered two banh mis. First of all, the Banh Mi Drip's marinated meat was insanely good--tender, flavorful, and juicy. Honestly, you almost don't need the broth to dip because the meat is already that juicy. Next time, I'd enjoy the broth just as a soup on the side. The cold cut classic had thick cuts, pâté, and all the right flavors comparable to some authentic spots in the ID. Mother's Day pick! Bahn mi and pho broth??! Heck yeah! I was thrilled to have a dip-able bahn mi for lunch. The bahn mi was incredible, and it was nice to have a side order of just broth to soak it up in. Because I love both pho and bahn mi, but if I have to choose, I usually go with pho. But here, I got to have both the sandwich and broth. Incredible. It was tasty. So very tasty. I wish I didn't live so far away, but this will be go-to for every future Mariner game from now on! Pleasantly surprised! I was suspicious of this place because it's modern Vietnamese in Pioneer Square. That puts it close enough to Little Vietnam on 12th to be out of place, and any time a cuisine is modernized, you run the risk of it being ruined. Not so here! Quite happy we tried it! I had Pho. They have the super crazy beef rib bone pho made famous by that other place up on Boren, but I decided to go a wee bit lighter, with a large bowl of brisket pho with less noodle. (Yes, they have "less noodle" as an option, which is *exactly* how I like it!) The accompaniments were plentiful, with lots of sprouts (to make up for missing noodles ). They don't put fish sauce on the table but will bring it if you ask, including a house made fish sauce that is the most refined and delicate version of that brew I've ever had. Definitely ask for some. They also carry a new-to-me hot sauce that is closer in flavor profile to cholula than any other Asian hot sauce I've tried. It's not as acidic and not as hot, but it's nearer to cholula than any sriracha I've tried. It's like a sauce that Cholula abuela serves to her pequeño monstruo. You order everything on the tablets at the counter, then it's brought to your table... UNLESS you order a drink that's in the cooler to the left of the registers. You serve yourself those. They don't make that part entirely clear. My dining companion had the Saigon Drip sandwich, which was very good, although she found the sliced fresh jalapeños to be a bit too hot. My jalapeños weren't as spicy, but that's the thing about that - fresh jalapeños are a Scoville lottery. You might get 50K in one, 200K in another. Next time maybe get them on the side. I had the fresh salted lemonade, which I LOVED. I just wish there was about half the ice. Another place we will visit again soon. read more

If you're in Pioneer Square, Saigon Drip is NOT to be missed. Pho is a main food group for me, and here? They know what they're doing! The space is a little on the smaller side so I imagine on busier days it could get a little crowded. During my visit there was a lot of takeout orders, but it was a workday so I imagine people were bringing lunch back to the office/remote work space. The vibe is so fun and lively and while the Taylor Swift cutout is mad random, it's a fun touch for all the Swifties! I'm not much of a wing girl, but the wings here go hard. Absolutely love the sauce that they're coated in and they pack a punch! My fiancé got the famous Drip banh mi and he stated that while it's different than a classic/traditional one, it's one of the best that he had. I tried a bite and it was crazy good! The star of the show for me was the hotpot ribeye pho. Gorgeous rolls of ribeye served alongside a boiling bowl of flavorful broth that you can cook to your preference. My fiancé and I had such a fun time with it and it was SO delicious too. Your bowl of pho is served separately with all the fixings minus the meat with the same tasty broth. I loved their broth and loved that the noodles were cut thicker than most places. I also got a milk tea that was tasty and the cup that it's served in is super aesthetic and convenient for traveling/walking downtown. I went in with super high expectations because of how well-reputed this spot is, and I was left feeling a bit disappointed. Portion sizes were solid, especially the banh mi, which had a ton of juicy, flavorful meat. The au jus was a fun touch as well, and the bread tasted fresh with a good crust. The pho wasn't much to write home about, and at $19, I was expecting to be wowed a little more. It tasted clean and the broth was fragrant, but it generally hovered around average for me. Everything about the food was delicious! Below is a more detailed review of each item, but overall all food was solid. We went during 1-2pm on a Saturday and it was PACKED. Theres not much space to sit but there was also a pop up happening that day so perhaps it is more open without the pop up. They bring the food to you despite you self ordering at the Kiosk in front. Jasmin took great care of us and helped us answer any questions we had about our dishes! Overall the vibe of this place is cozy, great for a yap and eat session but can get overcrowded. Banh Mi Drip - Super tender meat with a soft pillowy bun. The condiment used in the banh mi gives it a nice creaminess and the meat juiciness gets all soaked up in the bread, when dipped with the soup it basically melts in your mouth. They also give a generous amount of meat inside which is awesome! Bun Bo Hue - Comes with these soft round noodles, 2 pig(?) blood cubes, fish cake, and of course a giant rib. Has a nice tang, keeping it refreshing ,to the soup and it's not overly salty which is nice because it makes it more of a light noodle soup. The meat was relatively tender, we were able to peel off the meat from the bone because of that in addition to the giant rib it also comes with a few thing slices of other meat as well. I thought the noodles were a tad soft, but it was such a big portion that eating everything else will definitely fill you up. Mango Salad - Mango with daikon and carrots. Basically like a papaya salad but make it mango instead. Quick warning that it is quite fish sauce dominant, so if you don't like fish sauce I'd advise against this. Nonetheless it was still tangy which kept it refreshing, but fish sauce was very heavy on this. Dumplings - Soft meat inside and had a tang as well which might be from the sauce. Nothing too note worthy about this. Overall solid dumplings. Ribeye Hotpot - Such a fun experience! The meat was soft and comes with a giant bowl of pho and pile of bean sprouts. The noodles were flat noodles which were well cooked, slight bounce and not mushy. Passion Fruit Mango - So refreshing! Do mix it well as it was a little syrupy at the bottom. Definitely on the sweet side. Salted Foam Coffee - Super strong like SUPER strong. Coffee was flavorful while not being too bitter, but definitely a punch in the face of coffee flavor. read more

Best pho I have ever had! The staff is incredible, the pho is well flavored. I came here two days in a row, and I can already tell it's a new favorite! I ordered veggie broth with rice noodles, and the chicken dumplings. I tried the milk tea and Thai iced tea. The absolute best is they sell bread with condensed milk. Everything I tried was well flavored. Additionally the staff is really nice and when I realized I forgot to say no cilantro they remade it with no issues. I'm giving these guys a 4.5 BUT only because I STILL have not tried their famous hot pot pho! I'll definitely be back & here's a huge reason why! This was only the 2nd time visiting Saigon Drip...the key is to go early in the day for lunch because they tend to sell out if their popular dishes like the hot pot pho...they actually have a small menu & im just not usually in the Pioneer Square area during the day! We were there on a very special day...the day of the Super Bowl LX trophy ceremony & parade. Honestly we were going to get Dim Sum in the CID until we saw that we couldn't get across 4th Ave because of the metal barrier up for the parade but we were on Jackson street so as soon as the procession passed us, we needed food! We quickly thought of Saigon Drip since it was just around noon. We had a party of 6 so we weren't sure we would be able to get a seat for all of us...but we did! When we arrived all the tables & seats were taken and the line was still pretty manageable but what made a HUGE difference was that all the workers were able to work on the orders...they have 2 self order screens with tap or credit payment only BUT THAT WAS SO KEY!!!! I was worried about ordering the hot pot pho because I just wasn't so confident we'd all be sitting while we ate, but because the food came out pretty quick(since ALL the workers were helping with orders) tables were just turning! So we got a small high 2 top first which we sat my niece & daughter up but magically the counter seats right next to our high top opened up. My niece ordered brisket pho, my daughter ordered a bun bowl with chicken, I got the one with the pork & they both came with an egg roll & I added a fried egg to my bowl. My husband ordered the banh mi dip which has tasty grilled beef inside, and our friends ordered a chicken banh mi which is filled with grilled chicken vs. boiled or poached chicken so good, and his wife got a chicken bun bowl as well. The bun bowls were so big that it could have been shared by at least 2 people! As we're getting our food the line began to get busier especially with the parade going farther north. It was a great experience, everyone customer was a Seahawk fan & it was filled with happiness & joy in the whole restaurant. Saigon Drip has been on my to-try list for some time, with interesting looking Vietnamese inspired entrees. I have been to Saigon Drip a couple of times, since then - mostly during the week and once during the weekend, and at both lunch and dinner time. Like most places in this part of Seattle, finding parking nearby is very difficult if you are looking for free streetside parking during peak hours. I would recommend going during off hours to ease the pain of finding a parking spot, unless you are OK with parking in a paid garage. Service is decent at the restaurant, you place your order at the cashier either through a server or through the ordering tablet, and take a number. The server will then bring out your food to your table. The ambiance is definitely casual dine-in with cozy Vietnamese/general Asian decorations throughout the restaurant. Size-wise I would say the restaurant leans on the smaller side, only being able to seat about 30-40 people at max. I'll review the two items that I think most people would come to Saigon Drip for down below: Banh Mi Drip ($17): A great idea for an entree as it takes the au jus sandwich and elevates it to using the flavorful bone broth with asian spices as a dipping alternative! A tasty sandwich, where the meat is extremely tender, hearty, and flavored well - sort of imagine a philly cheesesteak in texture paired with a delicious and slightly more concentrated pho broth. I think as delicious as this sandwich was, I don't think it should be $17, as this price only includes the sandwich. I think for most people, this will not be enough food and definitely needs to be supplemented with some other side. Brisket Pho ($19): Solid pho with nice cuts of brisket and a fragrant and delicious broth. I think in terms of Pho, if you are in the Seattle city area, is good in comparison to the other Vietnamese restaurants. There are some downsides though: there is only 1 size, whereas other Vietnamese restaurants offer small, medium, and large for sizes. This bowl of pho is $19! Size comparison is equal to a small or medium at other pho restaurants. To be honest, I think pho should be one of those affordable food options that is not meant to be expensive. In my opinion, in terms of Vietnamese food in the Seattle region, Saigon Drip is pretty solid. Definitely tasty and absolutely delicious food for sure, but I think price-wise it's steep for the quantity of food received. I have been to Pho restaurants where you can specify a larger pho for $14-$15, unlike Saigon Drip's preset price of $19 for a smallish to medium bowl, which is unfortunate. Same feelings for the other items on the menu, like the Banh Mi Drip, which is absolutely delicious and has a great indulging flavor and texture profile, but in the end, it is $17 for a small sandwich. I also did go once during their anniversary/birthday celebration where menu items were a bit cheaper than they are now, during which I thought the prices was actually decent. I would say, if you in or near Chinatown and really craving Vietnamese food, Saigon Drip has got you covered if you don't mind the pricing. read more

OMG! The best Bahn mi's I've had outside of Vietnam. The Bahn Mi drip was the best thing I had on my Seattle food tour (I was actually only there for 1 full day). As a Texan, I was quite moved by the tenderness of the brisket.... Like who taught this chef how to throw down on the brisket?!?! The Au Jus was icing on the cake, so if you haven't you should! If you like meat this is a must try before you leave this earth. Now... I was a bit or more than a bit disappointed that the Bun Bo Hue is only served on the weekend. It is one of the handful of places I always think about when I want to go out for dinner. I always get the bok bok bitch. I also have tried the pho! It's all super yummy. It's not much of a restaurant - more of a cafe with only a few tables so definitely not good for a group meal or family meal. Ordering is done at the counter. I would say the price is about right for downtown Seattle and they do give a lot of meat with their pho, BBH (a whole beef rib), as well as their brisket banh mi. However, I did not like the broths at all - I felt like there was no depth of flavor and relied too heavily on MSG. Another concern is that there were no dac biet / combo options. Such a great place. Location is sketchy but it's pioneer square so... it's small inside. During the week it's not bad but the weekends it gets packed. Had the bhan mi drip, the spam and egg and two limeades. Ordering was easy and food came out fast. So it's not your traditional bhan mi but they are both delicious. The bread is soft and fresh and the broth they use is so flavorful. The spam and egg has a mayo on it and it's good. The drip is more chopped meat. Every visit I've been here has been great, and a friend of mine has even called here just to tell them that their food is fantastic! If that doesn't get you to come here then I'm not sure what will. Perhaps maybe the parking situation, which is rough and a little sketchy. I used street parking just four or so blocks away from here. Looking past that, the inside doesn't have much seating: just two big tables, a large bar with many chairs and another table near the entrance. I'd come early just to snag a spot to sit at. There's also a life-size figure of Taylor Swift wearing an ao dai inside as well. You put your order on one of two kiosks near the kitchen where everything is prepared, and then you sit yourself down wherever you want after that. Servers will call out the name you entered at the time of purchase and bring your food and drinks to you; you can even ask them to get you a cup of water too. Otherwise, everything else is hands off from the napkins to straws and even some utensils. Servers had no trouble getting food to me and my friend and were also very friendly too. I got their banh mi drip, which is what they're most known for. I got this for dine-in but I like how they provide my food in a box in case I change my mind and want to take out instead. I also got a regular Thai tea as my drink. Man was this one of the best things I've had in a while! The brisket is soft, tender and packed with flavor. The mayo and pate add to the tenderness of the sandwich while still being crispy just like how I like my baguettes. And I almost drank by itself the provided bone marrow soup that's supposed to be for dipping. I also like how they put their drinks (like the Thai tea) in a recyclable plastic can, it looks so ergonomically pleasing! From previous visits, I also recommend their Piggylicious banh mi, fried chicken wings and their Viet coffee with durian. I will remember this banh mi for a long time. I ordered the Banh Mi Drip, their most popular. I can't lie, this may be the best banh mi I've ever had. I'm not Vietnamese, but I am an Asian living and eating in the San Gabriel Valley, so for me, this is a big deal. First things first... Where they cut the sandwich in half, they know you're gonna take a bite at the middle, open end. So, a keen observer will notice that instead of just letting a good sandwich be, they ADDED AN EXTRA BITE OF MEAT ON EACH HALF!!! So don't be fooled by the picture on the menu - it's even MORE! I've never heard of false advertising that works in favor of the customer! Ok. The brisket itself is delicious. Tender, juicy, fatty, sweet, savory. If they had put a little crisp, caramelization on the meat, I would be calling Michelin so fast. But you're not going to care because the crisp on the bread will satisfy that texture/mouthfeel category. Even after you dip the sandwich in the *bone marrow broth* (are you kidding me?!), the crunch persists. The bread is exactly what it should be and executed well above average. Fresh. Now let's talk about that broth. I didn't expect much, and maybe that's why I'm so mind blown. The broth was so so good. Served hot, beautiful amber color. I felt it was just short of "rich," but that was after I had sipped it BY ITSELF (which I wouldn't do with au jus, but makes sense for pho broth). I HAD to do that because I was floored after taking a bite of the broth-soaked bread. The flavor that floods out was incredible. Mixed with their kewpie-style mayo, the flavors remained distinct. I'm stalling... it's hard to describe the flavor of the broth, so I'm going to have start with umami. If you like bone marrow, this broth will take you most of the way there. This was my second time at Saigon Drip Cafe, the first time being a Yelp Elite Event. I decided to try the vermicelli noodle bowl with tofu since I've already had the tofu banh mi. It was $19 but the portion was huge so felt worth it. The tofu was the perfect texture and it came with a little bonus egg roll on top. It was very tasty! Despite the busy lunch rush, my food was delivered quickly. I ordered from the kiosk which made it easy to decide because there were photos of the dishes next to each menu item. Unfortunately, the Banh Mi Drip sandwiches now cost $17 vs $13. For the size of the sandwich, I don't think it's worth it. Their whole menu is overall pretty pricey. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese soups and sandwiches, there are other restaurants with better pricing than Saigon Drip Cafe. The service and food are still good. Staff are nice. But with the price increase, I don't think I am coming back. read more

Walked in there's a good amount of seating, there's a lot of people when I went around 1 PM. Looked clean inside, ordered at the kiosk. Got the food really quickly less than five minutes was nice and hot bread was really fresh. Was a mix almost between a cheese steak and banh mi. Broth was really flavorful. I've been to 50+ Vietnamese restaurants across 20+ cities and this was hands down the best Banh mi I've ever had. The Banh Mi Dip was out of this world. Perfectly crisp bread, bold balanced flavors, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. I've heard the Banh Mi Duo sells out quickly and I can see why, so I made a point to get there right when they opened. The place was spotless with a cool style and decor, and the staff were genuinely friendly, we chatted up the entire time, and they gave me tons of info about Seattle. If you're taking the ferry, get off and go directly there, it's only a few blocks away!! As much as I wanted to finish the entire sandwich, I saved half for the ride back lol. More expensive than expected ($19 for small steak pho) but fantastic pho! Broth was flavorful, steak was tender and not immediately overcooked on arrival to the table, sprouts were super fresh. The small size had a good amount of meat( as someone who orders the large size at most pho places). Noodles were thicker and similar to pad Thai noodles, which I didn't mind since they took longer to get bloated with soup. I did not try the banh mi dip sandwich since it was $17 and I don't think I've seen a banh mi priced anywhere close to over $10. Overall would recommend based on pho alone. Just be aware of the prices before going! Also there is a random life-size taylor swift cutout in the corner of the restaurant that might float your boat~ read more

10/10! This place is the spot. The delicious aroma hits you immediately at the door. Bàhn mi drip was so savory and delicious!!! The beef brisket was so tender& juicy and the broth to dip in was amazing. We also got the brisket pho and we were so glad we did because it was too good- especially on a cold day. The mural art is beautiful and the ambiance is warm and fresh. Quinn was a pleasure to meet and she gave us some great suggestions!! We can't wait to come back to this place again! One of the best banh mis and sandwiches I've had in Seattle! Would highly recommend getting the brisket banh mi, the bread is perfectly fluffy yet crunchy, and the brisket is so flavorful but not too heavy. The Vietnamese coffee is also the perfect pick me up! There's plenty of seating inside but it does get crowded during peak lunch hours. You order on an iPad and service is quick and friendly. Saigon Drip Cafe is like a place that has a good version of Americanized Vietnamese. Affordable compared to other places like it. The place has plenty of room, with long tables. Came at lunch because this is what it's best for. It's too light for a big meal. The banh mi is the main thing. Classic street food. It's about $5 for fruit tea. Has coffee but doesn't have non dairy milk. The fruit tea is the next best thing. It's about $10 for a banh mi. The vegetarian one is the Veggie Vortex. Fluffy bread and it was filling. This has a few slices of baked tofu, along with carrots, cilantro, cucumbers, daikon, mayonnaise which I left off, and soy sauce. Also it's open at breakfast. This is a time I haven't been here, so who knows about what they got in mornings. Has pretty authentic flavors for being casual. It's located on Washington Street.
