After our morning coffee stop, we headed straight to Saigon Drip Cafe for a quick lunch. The cafe is very casual -- we placed our orders at a kiosk and waited for our names to be called before picking up our food. The space is pretty large, with plenty of tables and high-tops for dining in. BANH MI DRIP - 17 Prepare your stomachs in advance because this sandwich is dense. After our run, I thought I'd be ravenous, but I still only made it through about 75%. The banh mi was stuffed with incredibly tender beef brisket, pork pate, and grilled onions, creating an intensely savory, rich, and umami-filled bite. It's definitely a messy meal, so I didn't dip it in the accompanying beef bone marrow broth as often as I wanted to. The broth itself was outstanding -- deep, rich, and packed with beef flavor. What an incredible meal. I probably would've finished it if we didn't already have early dinner plans that day. This has easily been one of my favorite meals in Seattle so far. It's hard enough to find a good banh mi, let alone one paired with a good pho broth. Based on how good the dipping broth was, I'd love to come back and try their pho next time. I highly would recommend stopping by Saigon Drip Cafe if you're in the area.

We visited again last week and got Pho- it was also fantastic. And, again, a casual environment and great service. Still my top pick for Vietnamese fast casual.

Mango salad is a newer menu item and is a must with some of the chili paste on it. The bahn mi bread was the standout of the sandwich and the broth really completes it. I gave 4 stars because I felt there were too many onions and not enough meat. I wish they put the bahn me add-on, like the radish/shredded carrot blend, actually in the sandwich but I digress

Tofu banh mi (vegan vortex) with side of vegan broth

The tofu banh mi (vegan vortex) was pretty good. The baguette was super soft and dense. I do appreciate that they were generous with the fillings but it was honestly a bit much. It was kind of hard to eat the sandwich because of how thick it was. The pickled daikon and carrots were cut into thick pieces as well. There were 2 slices of jalapeno for the entire sandwich, so if you like your spice make sure to ask for extra. I LOVED the vegan broth so much. It tasted almost like chicken broth!!! They do have a "banh mi drip" combo, but you can't pick which banh mi or broth as it's preset. I would love to see that option get added to the menu, since that's basically what I ordered for a higher price. Or even if they had a "vegan banh mi drip" option. It seemed like more of a fast casual restaurant. They do serve and bus your table for you. You self order on a kiosk and they allow options for modifications. I will say I asked for no mayo, but unfortunately there was mayo in my banh mi. There is a bathroom that requires a code. They give tap water when asked. They also have some boba drinks that I didn't try, but would be interested. I do recommend if you're in the area and craving Vietnamese!

Oh Saigon Drip, you never seize to amaze me. I came here today because I need some of the strong coffee that you have, because none of the neighboring coffee shop compares to you. Vietnamese coffee hits differently, you know. I patiently waited for you to open, even though I was yawning so much in the office. 9am couldn't come any sooner. I ordered on the kiosk for a foam cafe sua da. It wasn't even afterward that your employee inform me that there's no salted foam available. It's okay, regular is fine with me, I didn't think much of it. What blew my expectations is that I was gifted a card for a "drinks on us" for the short-coming which I wasn't expecting and definitely exceed great customer service. This place is amaaaaazing and I'm impressed each time that I come here.

Saigon Drip has been on my list of places to go for a very long time! However, the fact that they close at 5:00 p.m. on weekdays makes it challenging unless you live/work near Pioneer Square! It must be that there aren't that many folks around here for dinner time, but I'd love it if they were open until even 6:00 p.m. on week days or just one day a week at a later time. I came down for some World cup festivities on a week day around 4:00 p.m. and utilized the opportunity to check them out! We shared the Banh Mi Drip, which is their most popular item, and for good reason! So much juicy tender meat and the caramelized onions just added depth and flavor. The bone marrow dipping broth makes this next level (and akin to a French dip, although WAY better in my opinion). I'd recommend eating this in store vs. getting to go as it can get soggy pretty quickly. Still tasty, but will be better in person, fresh. I didn't eve realize that it had pate on it (but after reading the description, that now makes sense why it was so flavorful). It was huge and enough for me to share (or for one person if you are very hungry). You order at the counter via a screen/app but there is staff around if you have a question. It's a casual spot but sufficient seating. They also have some Vietnamese coffee drinks which I would have gotten had it been morning and not afternoon. I want to come back for the weekend as I understand there are some different menu items!

    Ribeye hotpot pho

My younger brother was craving pho so we stopped by here while we were hanging around Pioneer Square. Seating inside is rather scarce. My family couldn't get a table until a big group left, but the staff here is pretty nice and quick to help. We were given dirty utensils and a dirty bowl, so they swapped that out quickly but it's concerning that so much wasn't clean. But to me the most important thing is the food, which felt like it was lacking in flavor. The pho broth wasn't very flavorful. We got the pho hotpot style and while it was great for pictures, the taste was mediocre. Also, you have to order on a kiosk and they have an area for you to put dirty dishes. I found this strange since we were eating soupy dishes.

Nut allergy friendly: I didn't even ask, just assumed a banh mi wouldn't have any problems, and I didn't have any problems. Time to Order: 7 Minutes for a to-go order placed at the counter. They're pretty quick! Parking; Difficult, we parked a few streets away and walked. It's a small shop, but don't let looks fool you. You enter a very modern interior with small fun decorations like a Taylor Swift cutout and a selfie booth. Orders are self-service at two kiosks, and a team works to make orders very quickly. It was packed when we went, already a good sign. We got our banh mi to go and got them pretty quickly. I initially balked at a $17 banh mi, but the concept seemed interesting enough and it was very hyped up by a good friend of mine. The banh mi drip opens up to a baguette packed with onion, beef brisket, and some cilantro. They give a container of pho broth wide enough to actually dip the banh mi, which I appreciated. It stayed decently crispy with a 15 minute commute, but I'd definitely recommend it fresh. Really, it looked more like a French dip than a banh mi. Anyway. It's a genius concept. It's delicious. Probably in my top five meals I've had in all of my Seattle trips. It really begs the question - what else works as a dip? Can we do baos dipped in tonkatsu Ramen? It's like they took a birria taco with consumme and made it even better. It was really, really good. Unfortunately, we also tried their regular pork banh mi and I found it great with the veggies, but very short on the meat. (2.5/5). Skip it. Just get the dipping banh mi. That's carrying their entire score. Would love to try their bun bo hue hot pot. I'd let these guys cook.

Saigon Drip Cafe is one of my favorite spots in the Pioneer Square neighborhood of Seattle. Not only is their logo cool, but I'm a fan of their free stickers and tote bag they give away with to go orders. They make delicious Banh Mi's. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their fillings, but I usually get the "Piggylicious". They also make mean Fresh Rolls. Shrimp is what I typically gravitate towards. They make tasty drinks, too. Yep, they drip in both style and the food they serve ;-)

I absolutely love Saigon Drip!! The customer service here is truly top-tier. From the moment you walk in, they treat you like family and make you feel genuinely welcome every single time. The environment is always incredibly clean (even their kitchen) and comfortable, which I really appreciate. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their restaurant. The food is also consistently great. That's one of the things that keeps my staff, family and friends coming back. Everything is fresh, flavorful and always prepared the same way every time I visit, which, to me, says a lot about their ownership and staff. Honestly, this isn't just one of my favorite Vietnamese and pho spots in Seattle, it's one of my favorite restaurants overall. If you're looking for great food, great service, and a place that makes you feel appreciated as a customer, this is definitely the spot. Highly recommend! Easy 5 Stars

The first time I had the Spam Slammin Egg was at a catered work event & I knew I had to have it again at Saigon Drip. It's truly so delicious and I've told multiple people about it. One of the best Bánh Mì's I've ever had... it may be my favorite ever. I appreciate the efficient, counter service vibe and tables inside. I'm truly a fan of Saigon Drip and will continue to revisit!

Parking: paid street parking only unless Sunday. Honestly it's overpriced. We served ourselves - cleaned up a dirty table when we arrived and bussed our own dirty plates after. Ordered via a tablet and there's no service or free water. It's limited tables/seating inside. We both ordered the beef brisket Bahn mi. The broth was luke warm, not hot, and too salty. The brisket would have tasted better if it came with pickled veggies. And it's a little sweet. We wouldn't come again.

It's packed and I'm PUMPED to have this again!!!

WHOO this place was CROWDED and rightfully so! This was my second time coming here, the first was for a yelp event, and I was soooo glad I came back. We came around lunchtime so the place was packed but people rotate in and out pretty quickly so I was able to find a seat just as my food was ready. They are great with making sure their staff is nice and full so the service was quick despite the crowd and they were all so friendly and helpful. I love the vibe of this place and seeing it during Christmas time was cool. The food was SPECTACULAR as always. I was trying to suppress the delightful sighs that wanted to escape after each bite of sandwich, melting in my mouth, and each sip of bone broth. 11/10

I received a promo for $5 off so I tried to use it the previous time, but she didn't know how to apply it. Then another time when I order The Caribbean Plato with pulled roasted pork, when I got home, I discovered the wrong type of meat (grilled pork instead of pulled pork). For these reasons, I didn't go back for a long time. Today, I went again to get take out for my visitors. I called in the order so I didn't have to wait, but Gisela didn't understand my order and kept getting it wrong. I ordered 3 Caribbean Plato with pulled pork, and 1 Caribbean Plato with chicken thigh, but she kept repeating the wrong order back to me (2 pork, instead of 3, wrong type of meat, etc), so I tried it again and again, still no comprendo. I got frustrated and told her that I would just come in person to order. I was in a hurry, but I had no choice. When I got there, I ordered the same thing, but this time, I gestured the type of pork I wanted, using my hands to show pulled and tried to explain that I wanted the shredded kind, not the solid kind). Someone was with me so he heard my order in plain English. As I was waiting for my order, I decided to ask her once more just to be sure that it wasn't the grilled pork bc she made that mistake last time. Then she said my meat was grilling now. I was alarmed since they don't get the pulled pork from the grill. I told her that I wanted PULLED ROASTED PORK, not the solid grilled patty kind. She said something in Spanish to the guy who was putting my order together and he showed me a sample of the pulled pork so I said "YES" that's the one I want. She said they were already cooking the grilled pork. When I told her that she was giving me the wrong order, she said "it's too late". I was so upset so I said, "why is it so hard to understand my order?" Pulled pork is pulled pork, not grilled pork. I never even mentioned the word "grilled". A guy came out from the kitchen so I explained myself and he said what I want is the pulled roasted pork and I said, "that's what I ordered". She tried to explain something to him in Spanish, but he told her to just give me the pulled pork and I was on my way. She just ruined my day, and I could feel my blood pressure rising. I don't think I will ever return again. It's too hard to explain the right kind of meat to Gisela. Dining out and getting take out should be a pleasant experience, not a stressful one.

Really good sandwiches!…read more I was visiting Seattle for work and during my break, I decided to go to the Armory for lunch. This was certainly a great choice, the food is excellent! I had their Philly Cheesesteak, which was awesome. Everything is cooked to order, so there is a slight wait after ordering, but it is certainly worth it. There are also seats and tables outside of the spot for you to eat at, it's shared with a few other restaurants. If you really want an exciting time, eat there while a Zumba is going on! Then you can people watch while enjoying your food.

Chicago Italian Hot Beef, Philly Cheesesteak, smash burger and a variety of other quick service beef meals with fries. The service was good and the food was served hot. Everything is packaged to go and there is a large communal seating area in the center of the building. When you order your meal, everything was entered onto a computer screen and paid before your get your food. The Italian Hot Beef didn't come with cheese so I had to add it as an upcharge where it then became more expensive than the Philly cheesesteak. That didn't make sense but it was a good portion size and the flavors were perfect. They have Pepsi products for beverages and although the only condiment they have is Ketchup the other food stall may have a better selection if you need.

After the first bite into the crunchy fresh baked bread... I blacked out and woke up with marinara in my beard and on my hands... Sandwich was gone!! Just happy memories remain! Service was awesome! There are plenty of seats inside and they had a few outside. That entire little section of downtown had a cool vibe to it. Highly recommend trying this place out.

The interior is cozy and old world city vibes. Not a ton of seating and it can take a bit for getting your sandwich. It took 30-40 minutes to get our sandwiches at lunch time. After we already had waited in line. There was a line out the door when we got there. You order on a tablet and several people in front of us were quite slow ordering and it made the line take awhile. We waited at least 10-15 minutes in the line. They have an order ahead option I would utilize next time. The seasonal soup was kale and potato. It was very bland and watery. I wouldn't get it again. The bread was tough and chewy. You definitely get a jaw workout. Both of the warm sandwiches could have used a side of Au jus to soften the bread. The meat looks generous, but they do the sandwich trick. You fold the meat in the middle to make it look generous. But the ends are basically devoid of meat. Maybe a sliver. Flavors were really good. The mustard on the Cubano had a nice kick. Porchetta had a kick from the chimichurri and pickled peppers. Both were a little spicy and my son didn't love it so we ordered him a cold ham sandwich without the mustard. The cold meats are high quality as well, but definitely a little plain compared to the warm sandwiches. Overall 5/10 experience though. More evenly distributed meat and softer bread it would be A solid 10/10.

Their bagels are fabulous as is their lox. For those, like me, who can unhinge their jaw for an authentic pastrami or corned beef masterpiece. Go with the "Ding sized" sandwich. They'll make a smaller Seattle sized version as well for those who don't treat deli as an indulgence of rye and meat piled high. I wish they'd add kreplach to the menu (sorry Vance. I know my litany is old!) but I keep discovering new deliciousness here even after being a regular for nearly 4 years since my recovery from a life threatening illness, that I recovered from in part due to making regular stops here during my post surgical recovery. Just today I had the blintzes for the first time with their in house made cherry compote and sour cream. Amazing. Keep up the amazing work!!! My recommendation for newbies. Get the pastrami on marbled rye with gribenes and mustard. If you're feeling extra indulgent ask for a schmear of chopped liver, if you're keen on said. You won't regret it!

And pretty much no chicken in it. The "famous hash and eggs" equally underwhelmed. The "hash" mixture seemed to be from yesterday or older, mostly potato, with little corned beef. There was nothing "famous" about it. I tried the fresher corned beef sandwich my friend got and felt the fresh corned beef was quite good - hence the upgrade from 2 to 3 stars here. It's counter service, they bring the food (no numbers for tables makes this a bit of a trial and error) . Coffee is self serve and there is a sign saying refills are $2.75.... how un-American.
