Hands down to the BEST BUN BO HUE in Washington. This is by far my favorite place when I crave hot soup. We got the $39 Pot Bun Bo Hue & the broth is very rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. The noodles are perfectly cooked and the meat is tender and delicious. The are also very generous with the veggies ( some places are not ) I highly recommend trying the bun bo hue here, you won't be disappointed. Service was 5/5, staff were very prompt and friendly. Great atmosphere of the restaurant, clean, and well decorated. The food however, I wasn't impressed by :/ Ordered the bok bok b*tch banh mi and the fish sauce wings. The wings were so crispy and sauce delicious! Unfortunately they were cold on the inside, which kind of made my stomach turn. They did not appear under cooked judging by color, so I'd assume they double fry after being refrigerated, which would explain the amazing crispness. Just an adjustment to be made, I would try again hoping this was a one off. The banh mi, I was overall disappointed by. The chicken and sauce lacked any flavor. I struggled to eat it as I lost interest very quickly, and this is coming from someone who LOVES banh mi. I would give the brisket drip a try if I am to return. read more

Beef brisket banh mi drip with the pho broth to dip in: 5 stars from my son; I sipped a bit of the dip broth and it was tasty. 2. Cult cut and piggylicious (grilled pork) banh mi with extra pate: 4 stars, the pate really makes it delicious 3. Fish sauce chicken wings were delicious! everyone liked these - 5 stars 4. Bun Bo Hue - 4 stars: sister got the bowl (not the hot pot) for one and said it was very good, but she wouldn't get it often since it's $28 a bowl. Took my parents to try out this place since I knew they would enjoy the banh mi dip, bo la lot, and pho. Had the Banh MI Drip and it was by far the best bahn mi i've ever had. It was a premium twist on the traditional bahn mi with quality melt-in-your-mouth brisket and grilled onions with pho broth to dip it in (kind of like an asian version of French dip l, but better). I also got the chicken wings with caramelized fish sauce and onions and those who also one of the best asian wings I've had. They double-fried the wings which gave it this nice outer crunch but still very juicy inside and the batter was just right, not too thin not too thick. Definitely going to be my go-to place for bahn mi now, but I also want to try the rest of the menu, as everything else also smells and looks amazing. read more

Got take out and forgot to take pics but I have never written a review so quickly! I ordered the spring rolls, pork vermicelli bowl, and pho. All the food was packed very well for transport. Nothing spilled and everything was still hot, crispy, fresh, etc when we opened it. The spring rolls came with very fresh, crisp vegetables and fish sauce. There were 4 which is a great deal when most places around here only give you 2 cut in half. During hh, they're half off which is baffling (in a good way!) considering everything you get. The pork vermicelli bowl I absolutely inhaled. The pork was grilled perfectly. At first I side-eyed at the price as I thought it was a bit expensive. But then I saw it and picked up the container and ate it. The portion size was massive and I will be saving the rest for lunch tomorrow. As with the spring rolls, very fresh vegetables came with it and a spring roll which is much appreciated. The pho broth was on the darker side but was very well balanced; savory with a bit of sweetness and no spice overpowered the other. Definitely some of the better pho I've had in Seattle. Will definitely be back! The hh menu looks . Wish they were open later for dinner. For now, I'll settle for picking up takeout on the way home. read more

The food was amazing. I typically love banh mi and is particular with the taste. The drip adds a nice taste along with the tender steak in the banh mi. You have got to add the chili oil which adds the spice thar I seek. Service was on point. Passed around and asked us if we needed anything. Even gave us a sample of the beef wrapped in leaves which I'll be getting next in a banh mi form. We tried the Bun bo Hue hot pot which essentially fed 3 of us. When the broth got low, the server refilled us to eat. They have shrimp paste ! Extra points for having that along with all the herbs. Talk about being a hidden gem, deep in the heart of Pioneer Square (Chinatown)! This is one of those places that if you weren't paying attention then you could quite possibly miss it walking by.. I honestly didn't know what to expect when I first walked in, but I took a moment to take in the vibe of the cafe. This place is phenomenal! I have never had banh mi so flavorful and juicy. The beef brisket banh mi melts in your mouth. The grilled onions go so well with the meat. This banh mi comes with beef broth pho on the side to dip, or to sip. And alone- the pho is delicious! The chicken banh mi is also very good, a little spicy and very moist. The only thing I'm sad about is that I found this amazing spot shortly before I moved out of Seattle. A lot of modern Vietnamese restaurants get a lot of flack, but this one actually comes through with both the food and ambiance.
