Cute decor. Fun servers. Spacious booths. We enjoyed our food. The beet salad was delicious with hints of citrus. Enjoyed the butternut squash pasta. White linen was well balanced. Don't skip on the dessert - it's delicious and unique! We had a hot cocoa brulee and a banana pudding. They were attentive to us celebrating special occasions and put candles in our dessert.

Myself and four friends dined here last week. I was visiting from out of town and Reds' came highly recommended by one of my local friends. This spot was super cute and cozy. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the gentleman who would double as our server. He was wonderful and attentive and I wish I got his name! For my meal, I had the smash burger. I also ordered a side of broccolini which I ended up sharing with the table because it was a very generous portion. The burger and accompanying side of fries were quite tasty! We were all very happy with our meals. I would absolutely want to return to Reds' Bistro next time I am in the area!

My husband and I had something to celebrate, so we decided to go to Red Bistro for a Martini and to split their amazing Ceasar salad before our dinner at home. Sadly, they replaced their unique Ceasar which had big leafs, capers and great croutons, with what seemed like a bag salad, and brown edged pieces, so not a fresh one. The martinis arrived sometime after the salad even though the place was very slow, but we are used to the bartender's snail pace. We are not giving up on this lovely restaurant because we do like the vibe. Just hoping this is a one off. But to their great Ceasar, RIP.

You would not know it, but this is the beet salad.

We grabbed dinner on a recent Saturday at 5:15. Two of us ordered the cioppino -Unfortunately, the execution was inconsistent. One bowl arrived flaming hot, while the other was lukewarm with soggy bread. We sent the cold one back and they did remove it from the bill. Portion-wise, it was underwhelming: approximately two clams, three mussels, no crab, and overall not what we expected for the price point. For a seafood stew at that cost, we were hoping for a more generous and balanced presentation. We also ordered a beet salad that came under an odd covering of sliced apples. They Mary's chicken was rubbery. The sourdough bread, nice servers, and generous wine pour were notable, but not enough to save the meal or have us come back.

The service was amazing and fast. Our two year old was acting her worst and the servers were very helpful. The food though, I felt like could be better. I hoped I didn't end up with just a steak on my plate like the pics. But alas they were plated separately. The angus steak wasnt medium and still dry somehow. It was more medium rare/rare. The drinks were very good. My partner said his duck was overcooked a little. The French onion soup was very very salty. It was everything a tad bit off. But the Christmas tree they had was beautiful and the decorations. I'm glad they kept them up late!

FOOD - Spring Salad: mixed greens, carrot ribbons, strawberries, candied pecans, cubed goat cheese, avocado, with strawberry dressing. This was tasty and a nice, light starter. 4.5/5 - Duck Leg Confit: duck leg with braised cabbage, fried kale, apple in a mango raspberry sauce. This was soooo good! I highly recommend it. I've never had fried kale before and I'm obsessed. And the duck meat was fall off the bone. 5/5 - Vanilla Crémeux: caramelized apples, brown butter crumble with meringue. Light and creamy. Not overly sweet. 4.5/5 SERVICE: Steve was amazing! He made friendly, observant, and made great recommendations! 5/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I would definitely come back. The food was so good. The only thing that was kinda ehhh was I did say it was our anniversary when I made reservations online but it must have been missed. No anniversary greetings or any mentioning of it at all. Oh, well.

Steve was fabulous

We were celebrating our son's 29th birthday. Steve made the night fabulous. The oysters and duck were amazing. We love Loomis!

Only negative thing...is that it's busy all the time and seating is no more than a broom closet.

Ask the Community - Reds' Bistro

Is there a dress code?

It's a nice place but not stuffy, I would say just no pajama pants:)

Does Red's still have the bone marrow and clams appetizer?

They were not on menu on 08/01/2002.

What is the corkage fee?

A review stated the fee. I believe it was 25.00.

From the moment you walk in, the space feels intimate, sultry, and effortlessly romantic, with a beautifully executed 1920s speakeasy vibe that makes you feel like you've stumbled upon one of Roseville's best-kept secrets. They require a password to get in of which you can get by following them on Instagram. What really sets House Divided apart, though, is the passion behind it. The couple who owns the place has clearly gone to great lengths to create an exceptional cocktail experience. You can tell they genuinely love their craft, and that attention to detail comes through in both the atmosphere and the drinks. The cocktail menu is thoughtfully curated across a wide range of spirits, with enough creativity and variety to appeal to just about every palate. My wife and I especially enjoy coming here as the seasons change to see what new creations they've introduced, while still being able to fall back on favorites from their regular menu. Their Old Fashioneds are exceptional, and as someone who gravitates toward tequila and mezcal, I'm always impressed by what they do with those spirits. The Cozy Old Fashioned is a personal favorite, but I've yet to have a cocktail here that felt like an afterthought. Everything feels intentional, well-crafted, and true to the personality of the place. If you appreciate intimate cocktail bars, speakeasy culture, and bartenders who truly care about their craft, House Divided is absolutely worth discovering. It has become one of our favorite spots for a romantic drink and a place we genuinely look forward to returning to each season.

The room is small but surprisingly fit two large groups and a few couples. There's a bar plus a few tables and couches. The bartenders are very focused and work hard at their craft. Each cocktail is carefully made to perfection. The list of drinks ranges from light fruity to spirit-forward depending on your taste. We enjoyed: - pomegranate martini: light and fruity, good pomegranate flavor - yuzu lime drop: seasonal for summer only! - the First Lady: strong but smooth; came with a nicely cut ice cube - whiskey sour: classic flavor, executed well The drinks were great but I really wish there was some sort of snack to munch on. Even peanuts or mixed nuts would have been welcome. Adding a small food menu of bar snacks would make me stay longer!

Smithville is not only a great coffee shop, it's a spot where people can be together, linger, and have a good time with one another! I've also gone and just spent some nice time alone. Spots like this don't exist everywhere - it's more than getting just a cup of coffee. It's a place that gives me that time to slow down and breathe a little bit! I personally love the matcha with oatmilk and have had some great post-workout protein shakes. A bonus? I never feel out of place there. The owner has always been warm and welcoming, and the staff, many whom are students in the town, have been lovely as well. Ok, one more bonus. I'm one of those people who loves a comfy hoodie or cute hat from local places or places I've visited. Smithville has a great selection of cute merch!

The food, though, was a bit underwhelming. It wasn't bad, just nothing special or memorable compared to the coffee. Great spot for coffee, but I'd love to see a little more effort or creativity in the food.

I think we spent $25 for a hummus plate with veggies, a side of kettle chips, and a couple of drinks. It was not too busy, but you could tell many people were regulars, which is always a good sign. I spent about 7 minutes at the counter unsure if I had actually ordered or not because the interaction was so bizarre and then suddenly my food showed up... There was only one other person in the place, but our drinks took another 10 minutes after we had our food and we ordered the drinks first. Food was decent. I think maybe the ratios were off when it came to the cracker/bread/chips vs. the dips themselves. We were left with just piles of crackers, bread and chips but the dips and cheese all gone, which was odd. (But I suppose people complain there aren't enough crackers or chips sometimes?) I loved the idea of all the fermented beverages and foods and they were tasty but also not super memorable. Maybe just paired with the super weird service made the food more forgettable? I loved the almonds and the whipped ricotta. I guess I would give it another try, but I'm not chomping at the bit to go back at all.
