    Pretzel!
    Linda V.

I love this place. They have great food and great music. The service is attentive and thorough. I got the shrimp lettuce wraps and the mandarin ale- very yummy. The pretzel was soft and warm. The ambiance is to die for- rustic and roomy. Warm lighting and lots of seating area.

Great Food, server always on point! Brew and Cocktails, Live music and Chill Vibes on Friday Eve !!

We stopped into High-Hand Brewing Co. and were impressed right away! The space has such a great vibe, it used to be a fruit packing plant, and they've kept the rustic wood and exposed beams, which makes you feel like you're walking through history into a really refined brewery setting. We ordered a flight, and each beer had its own personality. We started with a couple light and refreshing picks, perfect for summer, then moved into a few with more punch and depth. The Hef was a standout, and the Peach Blonde was something new and exciting to try. Loved that the flight came on a custom tray with little card suit cutouts, such a fun detail! The staff was welcoming and quick to get us settled, and the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between relaxed and lively. With live music out front and the warm, inviting feel inside, it's the kind of place you can easily spend a few hours. Definitely worth a stop whether you're into craft beer or just want a good spot to hang out with friends. We'll be back to try more of the lineup!

Came in here for a bite and a pint. The pretzel weighs between 1 and 2 pounds. Very tasty West Coast IPA. The space inside is very nice, and large. We started at the nursery next-door, which if you're a plant lover is very cool also

High-Hand Brewing Company is such a unique and cool spot to go for some drinks (and food) or even plants! My college buddies and I went here for our little reunion and we loved the beautiful decor that contributed to a fun and vibrant ambiance. There was live music playing while we were there from 2-3 pm on a Saturday which was a cool surprise. The beer was tasty and the bartenders were very kind and helpful. They even allowed us to sample a few drinks. Overall, it was such a great experience! i cannot wait to go back.

    Venue-Band. Lost opportunities

We went to see a very popular local band (Southbound) today 2-5pm High hand is a great venue to see live music and in the past things have been well run. Not so much today. Arrived at 1245 so to ensure we got a seat. Place was starting to fill up. Bar was packed with 1 yes 1 bartender with a line building steadily. As showtime approached the rumor was they were going to open their satellite bar thus having 2 places to order food-get a drink etc. also heard that cocktail servers were on the way. Show starts no 2nd bar or servers staffed. Line at the bar was similar to a TSA line at Denver International on a heavy day. Looking around the seating area revealed tons of folks taking advantage of the FREE water as they were thirsty from dancing or chopping it up with their friends. What you didn't see was a purchased drink in everyone's hands as the level of demand far out weighed the level of service. Today was like winning a giant hand of Texas hold 'em in Vegas then only taking 45% off the table. Lots of opportunities with poor net results. It's as if they didn't want to make as much as they could. Great venues close when mismanaged.

The stage on a VERY crowded evening!

We went into High-Hand on the evening of 20 DEC & it was PACKED!!!! The line at the bars went to the exterior doors. We got lucky & got seats around the high top in the center of the brewery where we watched the staff show so much hustle to meet peoples needs. The servers were weaving in & out of small groups to deliver drinks & take more orders.....then we had KAYLA come to us as our server. KAYLA was AWESOME!!!! She took great care of us & throughout all the chaos of people stopping her, she always found her way back to us!! THANK YOU KAYLA for taking great care of us!!! We appreciated your effort, great attitude & can do ability through all the chaos!!! Everything was top notch....food, drinks & especially the service!!!!

Cute place, nice vibes. Great place to socialize. Their food and drinks were on the on the pricier side, although good. Service was excellent--they brought out food fast and ordering was super quick. They always came to check in on us. Parking was interesting. There is a few street parking and some in their parking lot.

    Live music with dance floor.

They did a great job creating a nouveau rustic ambiance. The food has always been really good, we especially like the peach salad and shrimp tacos. Beers are also solid. I usually order the West Coast IPA - it's well balanced. On the weekends, the line to order at the bar can get long and you might have to wait a bit for your food. If it's busy, parking on the street can be difficult. However, there is a lot of extra parking in the back parking lot. On Fridays and the weekends, there is live music in the adjoining room. The bands that come through have been good to great - mostly classic tribute type bands. All in all, a nice place to hang out, enjoy some music and good food.

We were seated in the patio in the shade, so it wasn't too insufferably hot on this very sunny, warm day. Jägerschnitzel is my go-to at German restaurants and the one at Kathrin's is one of the best I've had to date. My plate was generous and the jägerschnitzel was tender, the spätzle was too, and the mushroom gravy that topped the jägerschnitzel was just so good. I cleaned my plate. I also got one of their small pretzels to start the meal and loved how soft and chewy it was, and the mustard had a good punch of spice. I thought it was cool that their pretzels are sourced from a local Bavarian factory. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the dressing on the green salad that comes with the jägerschnitzel. I'm really not sure what it was and can't say I've had anything else that tastes like it before, but it was strong and I was good after just a few bites. However, that wasn't enough to ruin the meal for me with as good as that jägerschnitzel was. While I was only here because I was visiting family who live in the area and recommended this place, I'd be happy to return if my family wanted to come back on a future visit.

We found that they served the dinner menu all day and there was no lunch menu. We ended up ordering the Oktoberfest platter, which it was made up of five sausages, schnitzel, red cabbage, sauerkraut and french fries. 4 of the 5 sausages were extremely dry and over cooked. Schnitzel was dry and flavorless. It seemed as if they had heated everything up in a microwave. Overly hot and very dry. Happy hour started at 3PM and we arrived at 2:45. That would have given us a discount on food and beer. But we figured oh well, our bad for not realizing. We commented on it to the bartender / server, like "oh darn" and he didn't really react. It was not like we expected to get the happy hour prices, we were just commenting. Then, unfortunately, we overheard him talking to two men at the bar, saying "I waited until 3PM to ring up your beers because I wanted to give you happy hour price." Yikes! Why not us? (Only us and these two gents inside at the time. There was a handful of people at outside tables.) We are disappointed because we had enjoyed them before and they are the closest restaurant to us serving German food. The food and the service that day are not very motivating to return.

Located in the middle of downtown Roseville, parking is not hard to find at all as there is plenty of street parking and a nearby garage. The decor inside is stunning. You can see industrial-size equipment for the beer fermentation process, and the dark wooden walls match the cellar theme perfectly. However, we were seated at a small table with bar stools that wasn't very comfortable. It was a warm day outside, so the AC was blasting inside and I got cold very fast. Shout out to my husband for walking back to the car to grab my jacket! We started off with drinks. I got the Thirst Trap mocktail, which was sweet and tart and reminded me of Nerds candy. However, I don't think it was worth the $14 price tag. My husband got the Vernon Street Lager, which was a very tasty beer. For an appetizer, we ordered the Pickled Veggie Jar. It had a great variety of brussel sprouts, onions, radishes, and more that were deliciously pickled. Unfortunately, it took over 40 minutes for our entrees to arrive, so we ended up eating half of this just waiting for our food. Carbonnade Flamande: My husband ordered this braised short rib stew served over mashed potatoes. The beef itself was very good, but the portion of meat was very small compared to the mountain of mashed potatoes. It tasted nice, but for $26, we expected a bit more meat. Moules Frites: I got the mussels cooked in broth, served with duck fat fries and crostinis. The mussels were plentiful and the broth was very flavorful. Overall, the food was decent but the fries were the absolute best part of everything we ordered and everything is on the pricey side. The service didn't really stand out either. There was no reassurance or update on why our food was taking so long. Plus, water was never served automatically, and when I finally asked for some, our server only brought one glass even though we were a party of two. This was not worth the $100 we spent on dinner and I don't think I would find myself back here.

I waited around 20-30 seconds, and since no one came--and because I've had past experiences where the bell wasn't heard--I rang it one more time, just to be sure. A male employee with a long black beard came out extremely rude and aggressive ready to fight, asking why I rang the doorbell two times. His tone was disrespectful from the start, just because I clicked the bell twice. I noticed how frustrated he was, so I tried to change the mood in a light, humorous way and said, "Chill man, it's just a ring." But that made things worse. He became even more aggressive and started saying things like, "What if I come to your house and ring your doorbell multiple times?"--even though I only rang it two times, not repeatedly. He went on a long paragraph saying things like "Don't ring it multiple times, we're not deaf," in a very disrespectful way. Just because I said the word "chill", he got even more upset. He then started another long paragraph explaining that he was working alone tonight. I understand being alone and stressed, but that is not the customer's fault. If the store is understaffed, that is something to talk to a manager about--not something to take out on customers or delivery drivers over a simple doorbell. Despite all of this, I still felt bad for him. Maybe he was having a bad day. I tried to end things peacefully by apologizing and reaching out to shake his hand. He refused. I tried again, and he refused again. I've honestly never experienced that before, and it left me feeling really uncomfortable and embarrassed, especially since I did nothing wrong. At the end, when he handed me the order, he suddenly called me "boss" and said "have a good day" in an aggressive, sarcastic way--after already ruining my mood. It felt disrespectful and unnecessary. This is not an acceptable way to communicate with a customer or a delivery driver just because they rang a doorbell twice. If someone is having a bad day, problems with family, management, or working alone--that is not how you handle it. You don't fix those problems by making someone else's day worse. Did I deserve this experience just for ringing the bell two times?
