a glass of beer on a bar
    Chris S.

Rebellion has always been a spot I've been aware of being so close but it was swell to stop by the tap-room and get and opportunity to see the full variety. First, there's an ice strip in the bar top to keep your beer chilled and the glasses are filled from the bottom?!? The most 'high-tech' bar top I've seen. The room is somewhat small but reasonably well decorated with plenty of natural light. Our server was crazy friendly and really made it a fun evening. Take the time and stop by when in the area!

We came here Friday around 5:30. It wasn't busy. We got to sample a couple of beers before we decided to do a flight. Beers were ok. We saw some to-go cans in a fridge and decided to try a sour beer that's not on tap. They have darts here to play. Restroom is located outside the brewery and shared by other business.

20 oz IPA on an iced rail to keep the beer cold

I don't know why there are so few reviews. The IPAs are really good. Fast great service and 14 beers on tap. It is strictly a taproom for the brewery. Don't expect anything beside great beer.

    Nice ice bar

Fun new place to try. Good selection of beer and a very unique way to fill. Love the ice bar to keep the beer cold. We tried the shrimp shooters just for something different. They were surprisingly good. We also did the shrimp skewer meal and also very good. Dill rice was very yummy. Location was a little hard to find and in an unexpected little business park, but they made it very comfortable and fun. Lots of big TVs and the Chargers In The bar we're a nice touch.

Loved the Ice tray which kept my beer cold while sipping

Wandered in here after a sticky warm October afternoon outdoors. Ahhh... Easy to find, quiet location just a hop and a skip off Hwy 49 on Atwood Rd. and (the most important part) NICE craft beers and friendly staff. We are currently enjoying a Double Dose IPA and Solid Ground Hefewiezen. Really hits the thirsty spot. Indoor and outdoor facilities, a game table and good TV's. PLUS: An icy chill tray that runs along the entire bar to keep your beer cold. What a great feature! They also offer various skewers which area are a good addition when embibing. Come check out Bottoms Up!

Small and hidden but worth looking for friendly staff and good beer. The only thing that would make it better is if they offered food.

I definitely would not recommend. They do not follow COVID guide lines. They have had multiple people test positive and still no changes.

Lisa Ford, the co-owner, went above and beyond in every possible way. She designed a menu within our budget, created a customized bar menu, and she and her amazing team decorated, cooked, served, and made the patio feel warm, beautiful, and welcoming. They truly handled everything with such care and excellence. We were able to play our own customized Spotify playlist on the back patio for a fun Yacht Rock Friday night feeling, and their IT/AV support, Randy, helped us play a personalized video of the couple on the patio TV throughout the evening. It made the night feel even more personal and special. The food was truly the chef's kiss, the beer by Brian Ford, co-owner and brewmaster, was incredible, and the service was outstanding. Trista and the wait staff were fun, attentive, and made our guests feel so well taken care of. One of the best parts of the evening was seeing our son and daughter-in-love so happy and surrounded by incredible family and friends who enjoyed honoring and celebrating them. Our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful the food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience were. Auburn Alehouse is family-owned, community-forward, and an incredible craft brewpub. It is a wonderful place for private events, date nights, gatherings, celebrations, or simply a great meal with great beer. If you are in Auburn, driving from Reno to the Bay Area, or heading up the mountain, stop here. They are also a fantastic choice for private events and can work with your budget. They even host private events at their Annex across the street. We are so grateful we chose Auburn Alehouse for such an important family celebration. Highly recommend! We will be back - over & over & over! Huge Mahalo Lisa & Brian!!

When the waiter brought my drink, I immediately noticed it didn't look like a traditional Piña Colada, and after tasting it, I confirmed it certainly didn't taste like one either. I politely asked if I could exchange it for a different drink. The waiter returned and said the manager wouldn't allow an exchange but would offer me 50% off instead. I explained that I wasn't happy with the drink and simply wanted to order something else. The manager came over and explained that the menu includes a disclaimer stating the cocktails are made with soju instead of the traditional liquor. In my opinion, the waiter should have mentioned that when I ordered, especially since it significantly changes the flavor. I hadn't noticed the disclaimer--I simply ordered what I thought would be a classic Piña Colada. Unfortunately, I was still charged half the price for a drink I didn't enjoy and wasn't allowed to order a replacement. The manager emphasized that it was too expensive for the restaurant to remake drinks, which I found disappointing. I've never had an experience like this at any other restaurant. On a positive note, I ordered the Reuben sandwich with fries, and it was delicious. That was the highlight of the meal. However, the service was also lacking. Our waiter was slow and couldn't answer several of our questions without repeatedly leaving to ask someone else. Because of the poor customer service and how the drink situation was handled, I won't be returning.

For years now, I've been saying these guys make some of the best, most unique beers in our area. And anyone looking for a solid pint or some creative things to try, would do well to swing by. Firstly, I absolutely love the location. It's a cozy little spot in the north Truckee industrial area. But step through the doors, and you enter a space that can only be described as a mix of hippy commune and witch's lair, with some delightfully quirky decor, and an incredibly friendly staff. Really does feel like a hidden gem. But as for r the beers themselves; in short, I think these are some of the best quality, and most niche types of brews you'll find around here. They have a smaller menu, but what they have is dominated by their Forest Beer series. These are concoctions made with all sorts of foraged ingredients from the forests, fields, and farms close to Truckee. Always changing, it is something to try out. The Borrowed Bines used fresh cut hops, the Bay Shore uses locally culled bay leaves, the Range of Light uses picked juniper berries, and the Dirt Candy uses mushrooms that grow in the woods. They also have been breaking into brewing their own apple cider, which is delicious but quite strong. Plus, they will usually have N/A options with their house lemonade or brewed soda on tap, too. So yeah, the menu almost certainly has something for everyone. Prices for everything are pretty typical.for the area, usually around $8-9 per pint. Though my one sort of gripe is that the smaller 4-5 ounce tasters are like $4 each, a bit pricier than most other tasters, so that makes it quickly more pricy to try out a lot of their menu. If you want any beers to-go, sadly they only offer a few at this juncture, and in bottles. And there is no food here, just a few snacks for sale. But make sure to browse their swag stands, as they have some eclectic merch. All in all, I definitely encourage any beer fans to come and check this spot out. Been one of my favorites for years, and I'll bet it can easily become one of yours, too. Cheers, all!

I didn't realize drinks were self-service, so my glass of wine sat at the counter untouched until I figured it out.
