We were driving through town and wanted to get out of traffic for a while and take a break. I always look for breweries when I travel because it's usually a great way to get to know an area and relax. This time, when I saw a Cider co. I couldn't resist and we decided to mix it up a bit. We absolutely loved it! The individual who helped us was super nice, let us have a couple samples to decide what we wanted and was happy to make recommendations. It's a cute little barn type structure with a fantastic outdoor space (love love love the misters!) and they allow you to bring food onsite which is a plus! All of the ciders we had were just delightful and we ended up taking home a bottle and a 4 pack of cans to share with the fam. Will be on the look out from more for Ponderosa and can't wait to come back!

Great place, great service, great cider, and great trivia nights. Family and dog friendly.

Had a great first visit to this welcome new addition to the neighborhood. As much as I love beer this is a cool alternative. I'm only used to sweet ciders that I can only make it about half way through. The ones we tried were much more mild and dry. The sangria was very unique with a bunch of different flavors. My favorite was the pineapple. The owners were very friendly and able to answer all my questions on the process. I'm a home brewer and love talk about the difference in technique. Definitely will be making this a regular stop.

I'm a huge cider fan. This place is very new and trying. It's a nice alternative to beer or wine. They do a flight so you can try their various options. Southern aspect and the Dutchess are average apple options. I had high hopes for the sangria. It's not at all what was expected. Note! It's a white sangria! Apricot, apple, lemon. You can buy everything in a can. I wish there was a blackberry cider or pear cider or more of a variety. All options are very similar. They are dog friendly which is nice. They have ample seating. I do love their merch area. I wish the sweater crop was just a long sleeve shirt crop since it's spring and in the 70s. This place is worth trying. Refreshing. Hospitality wise they are super great. Bathroom is clean.

Drove here all the way from Elk Grove. There aren't many options when it comes to ciders in the greater Sacramento area, unless you buy direct from a retailer. I've been a big fan and still am of Two Rivers in Sacramento, but let me emphasize, Ponderosa has just replaced them on my list as #1. I will make the hour drive to come here any day. The staff (1 person, at the time) is amazing and so accommodating. The ciders... left me speechless. All were so wonderfully crafted, I still can't decide which I liked best. If you are a true cider enthusiast (non of that sweet kiddy cider stuff), this is a cider worth traveling for! Don't take my word for it, go try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

This is such a cool place to check out. Been to a lot of breweries, but this was my first cider place and well worth a visit. The staff was super knowledgeable and knew everything about their different ciders. Felt light a less snobby wine tasting experience with much more interesting and creative flavor profiles.

Fortunately, we remembered passing a sign for Indigeny Reserve and saw on the map that it was within walking distance. Since it was already after 3pm and they closed at 5pm, we decided to drive over and make the most of our afternoon before they closed. When we walked in, the building was empty, but we were eager to try a cider tasting. Browsing the shop, we found a variety of merchandise--shirts, hats, sweaters, and an assortment of cheeses, crackers, chips, and other tasty treats. Eventually, a friendly staff member greeted us and offered the $10 tasting. Since closing time was approaching, she joked about giving us paper cups to avoid running the dishwasher. We didn't mind, but she kindly served the cider in glasses, which made the experience nicer. She also offered a whiskey tasting in a cool room lined with barrels and tables, plus gift boxes and other products. The whiskey tasting was just $2, with three varieties to sample. I'm not much of a whiskey fan, but I appreciated that she wasn't rushing us out. Both of us loved the Blackberry cider, so we each ordered a glass to enjoy outside. The outdoor area is expansive, with wooden benches, tables, and lawn chairs scattered across a grassy lawn overlooking a large vineyard. Only a few couples and families lingered--likely because of the early closing time. After relaxing with our ciders, we wandered down the trail to the lake. Along the way, we discovered old barns, a whimsical gnome area, and several upside-down boats tied up near the shore. If the boats hadn't been secured, we joked about taking one out for a row on the lake! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Indigeny Reserve and, in retrospect, wished we had brought the teens along. Still, it made for a wonderful little date.

YEAH, I SAID IT! Service is great; the staff are friendly, they come by to pick up glasses, and pour well. We walked in and waited to be served and ended our tab with one flight and 2 pints. Sampling is done with small cups and they give about an ounce or more for you to taste. We sat outside and it's a pretty chill and lax environment. They have a photobooth inside. There's seating inside and outside. It's not a super loud or rowdy place (I went Saturday evening). The ciders themselves all reminded me of a dry white wine, but better. No sulphur headache or hangover the next day. The Jalepeno Carrot stood out to me amongst the list of mostly fruity ciders. It's like a spicy marg but not sweet. They rotate weekly so it's likely the next time you visit, there will be new flavors to try out! I would definitely come back here again. It was SO soft, hot, and had a good amount of cinnamon to it which I really appreciated. Get your own and don't share, you've been warned! The corn dog batter is delicious! Crispy on the outside and ever so slightly doughy on the inside while still being chewy and soft--it was so good! Not to mention the actual hot dog tasted like it was all beef, not sure if it was, but it definitely wasn't a Bar-S hot dog if you know what I mean! The hot link corn dog was my FAVORITE. Had a GREAT snap when bitten into and had a very small kick to it. I wish it was spicier but that's okay! I love a good corn dog. My 11 year old daughter and I came to the Ferry Building for a fun Mom and daughter morning. We hit the Rainbow Orchards stand first, for what was my first and sure to be last visit. We waited to the side while a customer who was there before us was helped, chatting about how much to get. That customer left, and he took the elderly guy who came after us first - no big deal. Then it was our turn and I asked him for 5 dollars worth and handed him a 20. I had 4 singles and a 20, and the choices were either 5 dollars worth, 8 dollars worth, or another amount I can't recall. He told my shy daughter snakily "Don't grow up to be a person who comes to the Farmer's Market and doesn't have exact change." It felt out of line for him to address her in that way. And, he's already complained about me not having exact change. Hey, either sell us the blueberries or don't, but were not here to be a sponge for your anger. So, I observed flatly, well, we don't have to buy anything. And he said, "yes, you do, because I already have your money." Okay, so another aggressive and weird response. I reached out to get the bag of blueberries, since evidently he was giving me no choice other than to buy them, and he backed up so they would be out of my reach. It was like the 4th rude thing he did that was unprovoked. I managed to get the bag and walk away, but he did ruin a chunk of our sweet trip to the Farmer's Market. I wonder how many shoppers had to deal with absorbing his hostility that day.
