They have outstanding cider and fortify their blends with local harvested fruits that are in season ... like Courtland pears, which is the flavor I happened to try today. Added bonus: They're family and pet friendly. They offer free doggy treats for those of you who visit with your fore legged fur babies. The doggy treats are in a labeled jar on the counter and there are a couple of pup watering stations that I also noticed, one outside and one inside the tasting room. Inside the tasting room are a couple of enormous flat screens with NFL games turned low with subtitles on, which is nice so you can chit chat with friends w/o yelling. Nice product but this seems to be a place where parents come to let their screaming kids run all over and rattle bathroom doors, etc. I was hoping for a nice quiet spot to enjoy some cider but a posse of screaming children with no parents in sight ruined that. Great variety of ciders; so many that I decided to try a flight of four. There was a bit of a line, but the server was fast and friendly. I tried Bone Dry, Ginger, Chai, and Chilly Willy (​Dry apple paired with spicy chili). I liked them all. This is a very family-friendly establishment. We had a great experience here this afternoon. We enjoyed a can of cherry cider we had purchased at Taylor's yesterday so decided to stop in for a tasting at the Two Rivers Cider facility. Two Rivers is located in a bit of an odd spot, it's a mostly residential neighborhood and parking can be a pain in the butt but we arrived on a Saturday at 8pm and was able to park pretty easily. They close at 9pm so the food truck was starting to pack up and it was pretty dead, but all good with us. They had 2 large tables inside with a few wall seating areas but lots of outdoor sitting at picnic tables. I loved that they had a DJ booth with lots of records and they had a small selection of games to play and even blankets for guests on colder nights. They offered various flavors of cider so we opted for a flight. We got 4, 4oz pours for $11. Not a bad deal at all. We tried the OG apple, pomegranate, strawberry jam and blackberry. I did ask for recommendations and the guy was really truthful on the ones he didn't like so I really appreciated that. In all honesty, I wasn't really a fan of any of the ciders we sampled. Apple and pomegranate tasted the same, like a semi sweet dry champagne but I didn't taste any of the fruit aspects of the cider for those 2. Strawberry jam did have a small hint of strawberry and was decent. Blackberry was our favorite as it the one with the most distinct flavor. There were so many other flavors left to try but because we came so close to closing we decided not to get another flight but based on the vibe and service we would still consider coming back to try the other flavors. read more

First time here and it was cozy on a rainy Friday night. I had their strawberry and Boisenberry mix and flavor were good, but pretty sweet for my liking. I was only able to drink half a glass. Bartender was cool and help with choosing drinks. They have a setup inside with vinyls and a spin table so it's be fun if they had someone there to bring up the energy. A hidden gem. There are so many good things to say about this place. The stuff is incredibly helpful, and friendly. The cider is perfectly priced and I have yet to try a flavor I didn't like. They're flavor development is top notch, keeping a balance of sweet and dry in each taste. CIDER!!!!!!!! I love this place! My various crews and I have probably hit this place more times in the past month than I have in all the months it's been open to the public. Three of my friends have had successful birthday gatherings here, mostly due to the fact there are so many fun things to do depending on the day: board games, Big Wheel races, Cornholio, live music on a loft above the tasting room, Skee-Ball, Grateful Mondays, doggos, a DJ spinning old school records, pizza on the weekends, succulent gardens, and what I like to refer to as a Mini Homemade Bicycle Museum. The best part of visiting Two Rivers is that it is so homey and welcoming. The owner clearly has eclectic taste. One day I hope I get to meet him or her, as we have similar interests. The tasting room reminds me of visiting my best friend's dad a.k.a. my mechanic in his home garage of knick knacks, shooting the breeze over a beer amid random projects and much loved artifacts. People are trusting here, people are kind here, and people bring their doggos here. The winding hallway to the bathroom and all of the things to do may seem a bit overwhelming, but fear not. The cider is good, the seats are many, and there are about 15 flavors to choose from at any given time. Quite a change from my first visit here during the grand opening, when there were but 5 ciders to choose from. NOTHING is bad here, and most ciders are on the dry to extra dry side. If you enjoy cider that has a fruity flavor without sickening sweetness, this is your exit. It's not thaaaaat hard to find now that there are apple signs showing the way from 24th to 16th. Two Rivers Cider was one of my favorite places to visit while I was in Sacramento. I wish all these cool breweries and cideries would have been around many years ago when I was visiting Sacto more frequently, but you can't live in the past. Now is the time to seize the cider! Blink and you could miss it. It's hidden in a very small industrial area that barely takes up an entire block. It's a few blocks over from main streets and it's off the beaten path. I only learned about it when I stopped at Fountainhead and they suggested it. I love ciders, so I was all about it. All their ciders are made on location and there are so many from which to choose. They don't have many very sweet ones, but even the dry ciders get a lot of flavor from their barrels or the berries and other ingredients used to flavor them. I was very impressed and so happy that they offer flights. It's the best way to sample them out before you commit to a full cup. They'll provide small samples, too. It helps make the decision process easier. The atmosphere is very open mic night coffee shop type vibe. The seating is large, long communal tables. When we came, they were hosting a game night. They have other events and specials going on throughout the week and bring in local food vendors and food trucks to feed the masses. Not up for what they are offering? No problem! You can BYOFood. Without a doubt, one of the coolest places in Sac! Two Rivers is a funky, retro, breathe of fresh air. It has so much more to offer, than just great cider. There are some neat old pinball machines, a sea of old bikes, bar games, classic records, beautiful art work, and a super friendly staff. It's more like walking into a well-kept garage full of history than another trendy brewery. I wouldn't be surprised to see this place on America Pickers someday. I came for a bike swap, but ended up listening to old Donovan records, playing Aztec pinball, lounging on the patio, and drinking some really great dry cider. The staff was knowledgeable and happy to give out a few cider-samples before I purchased one. I decided on a blueberry flavor. It was refreshingly, crisp, and went down easy. I was impressed with the quality of the product. I sampled a blood orange and huckleberry too. Both of them were on the dryer side and very tasty. I never did review the actual tap room! I absolutely love Two Rivers cider. They have been around for years and they really know how to make a wonderful cider. My favorite is the blood orange, but it's ridiculously hard to pick one. I also love the pear, ginger, pomegranate, mango, lemonade... the list goes on and on! The regular apple is fantastic, and so is the Gravenstein. They made a Macintosh some time before, but I haven't seen it in a while. The tap room: It's a great place to visit! They have a bunch of random activities (skeeball, large/small Jenga, corn hole, ultimate frisbee, foosball, etc) and TVs as well. They occasionally will have live shows. Definitely follow them on social media to find out what they have going on! They usually have a food truck on the weekends, but you can totally bring your own food. They also have small snacks like chips for sale and kid's drinks as well. It is kid, dog, and bike friendly! They take a dollar off your first cider for riding your bike! I had never been to a cider tasting room before last weekend and I'm glad my friend suggested it. We both chose flights ($8 for 4 samples), and I had fun trying the different hard ciders; I had never thought about hard cider as a thing that I would order over beer before, but this place opened my eyes to the possibilities of fresh cider. Two Rivers uses local apples and has a wide variety of flavors; I chose yuzu, original, one that was flavored with bourbon barrel pieces during the production process, and cherry. They were all good but I liked the cherry and yuzu flavors the most, because I could taste the fresh fruit flavors and they were pretty unique! The decor in here is fun, if you like bicycling, you'll have a field day here: There are bikes on the walls and bicycle-themed posters. There are also games as well as a nice patio area out front. The employee was really nice and helpful and they have a parking lot as well as street parking. The bathrooms are down a hallway to the right of the tasting room, there is a water station to the left of the counter and there is also fun merch for sale if you choose to flaunt your love of Two Rivers. This place is super chill and lowkey! This place is located next to neighborhoods so it might be hard to find if you're driving at night but it's tucked in a neighborhood that might seem like a sketch area. This place is great to come chill with a 5-6 person group size or even a first date. They serve only cider but it's good if you're looking for a chill spot to hang out with friends, play some board games and aren't looking to get too hammered. They only have 3 longish tables inside but plenty of seating outdoors! There's free skeeball and fuseball in the other room!!! I believe you just have to leave your ID with them as insurance. Cider crazy I am ! We discovered Two Rivers by chance on a lazy Saturday afternoon . We were at nearby Track 7 , and happened to meet a couple of acquaintances who were headed to two rivers after their beers and invited us along . So glad we did ! Two rivers is within walking distance of track 7 and fountainhead brewery, tucked away in a mixed hood of homes and industrial businesses . They have a small parking lot , as well as easy street parking . They are DOG and kid friendly !! Walking up towards Two Rivers, I immediately saw a couple of people playing a game of corn hole, a bunch of bikes , a handful of tables with bench style seating and a make shift stage with seating off to the left . I found out later that they actually invite local bands and musicians to put on a show regularly. Very cool! We also saw a skeet ball and a fozz ball machine that is FREE to play ! How fun !! Their menu board listed several different varieties of cider and they had tasters available. I ended up enjoying a generous glass of their blackberry cider . It was crisp , bubbly , and not too sweet. It was refreshing, after the dark beer I had previously. I heard the grapefruit was one of their best , so I need to try that one next. How did I not know about Two Rivers before? Ok, I guess it's because I don't have much experience with ciders and my friends aren't really cider people either. But now that I know that Two Rivers around , I'll be sure to come back to be educated on the Cider life ! read more

Laid-back fun for all! This is in a residential area so if you see a bunch of houses and a warehouse you are not lost. Parking can be a little tricky but it's fun. It's close to Sac City college and they have snacks they sell along with cider but they typically have a food truck most days too. Check their Instagram account for food truck details. They also have fun things like vinyl nights, trivia nights and have live bands as well. There's pinball and I believe a skee-ball machine, the staff are SUPER nice and give great recommendations and they have blankets in the winter for when it gets cold which is nice.
