Only to find out my past two allocations had been picked up by my ex girlfriend without them ever verifying her as the paying member/card holder. I explained this to the staff and tried to understand the process to verify who paid for it before giving them the wine, she said there isn't one. I requested to contact a manager to resolve the issue "Do you really want to do that on their personal time?". All I needed was to try and resolve the issue or find who could, Cynthia the staff was not only beyond rude, and unhelpful - but she had the wherewithal to then say "well let me verify you actually bought this wine" as if I was lying and she didn't already have my name for the allocation and confirmed pre-payment. Lastly, I asked to cancel my wine club and she could not do that only the wine club manager could. I asked multiple times if we could contact them or do it in store, and she refused. Unprofessional, lack of quality customer service for wine club members, and an attitude you would not want at front of house representing your business.

The craft fair itself was great and everyone there was so nice, but the winery is what really got me. I already know I need to come back with friends. The wine selection looked amazing and they have all kinds of snacks, games, and different areas to sit and just vibe. The decor was everything. Bookshelves filled with old timey books, really cool lighting, just a whole mood. I didn't love the wine I picked, but that one is on me since I skipped doing a tasting first. Lesson learned. I definitely want to go back when it's a little less busy so I can really take my time and explore everything. Lucid Winery... I will be back.

The place is bright with friendly patron. What I like more is this place served as community hub, from speed dating, live music, game night, etc. A lot of events hold in this place. Stay tuned. Edit: For me, what would make it a 5-star experience is having wines that stand out more (based on the tasting I had). I also appreciate the charcuterie setup, but a broader or more substantial food selection would elevate the experience. Lastly, a bit more organization in the space and overall flow could make it feel even more polished.

What could be better than a dog friendly wine bar? Sure helps when the wine is good. I don't know why I don't come back here more often. Ok, I've just learned my sangria has lemon, peach, pineapple, and orange in addition to the dragon fruit that gives it such a bright pink color. Yummy. And that's the summer sangria! They'll have another in autumn with cloves in it. Sign me up. I like everything I've tasted here so far, stand outs being the Albariño, Rosé, and Barbera. They even have a Chardonnay I like, and if you know me you know I'm picky with those. As for the ambiance what more can I say other than dog-friendly and friendly friendly? Bright yellow walls because they're pretty. A $15 tasting fee will get you a generous 8 ounce pour of all 8 wines! Prices are reasonable. Happy Hour 2-4 Weekdays, $2 off all glasses. All wines are $7 by the glass on Mondays. $10-$12 is the regular cost per glass. Wine tasting kits? They have that. Charcuterie box? Yes, $15. Delivery? Yes. Wine Club? They've got that too. 2 bottles per month for $40, and 4 bottles for $70 plus perks. Noice. Don't skip the Moped blend. What grapes are used in the blend changes every couple months I'm told. "It's a casserole!" I love this place and I'll be back.

You can find Acheson here at the tap room, at the Saturday Farmers Market and I feel like I see them at so many events too! The wine is delicious- the Moped Red is my absolute favorite. I love doing the wine tastings to enjoy the most current offerings and the wine on tap and eco-friendly reusable bottles are such a nice touch. This wine is meant to be enjoyed, not hoarded and saved, so I find myself enjoying it right aay whenever we have some in the house. The team here and the owners are so nice. Loraine is the one who originally helped me and after meeting her I've been a loyal customer. If you're looking for gifts they offer tasting kits and they partner with other local businesses around the holidays for some fun options. They also have a wine club and they deliver too!

Shoutout to the West Sacramento/ Clarksburg area…read more... The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a historic beet sugar refinery from 1934-1993 that has wine shops and tasting rooms for local wineries. They have over a dozen wineries. Wine tastings average $15 and most wineries waive the fee if you buy a bottle. They have wine shops in the main building and in the other building. Don't forget to walk back and to the right to the shops in the separate back building, there is 3-4 more wineries. Each winery are literal walled shops with their own seating areas. Temperature controlled which is nice on hot summer days. Each have their own wine tasting, food offerings, and special events. Old Sugar Mill is less than 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The buildings are beautiful. They kept the historic brick walls and exterior. It has a modern shabby chic look. Three different brands owned the refinery. It all began in 1934 with Amalgamated, American Crystal Sugar Factory (1936-1982), and Delta Sugar (1983-1993). The sugar was refined by local Northern Californian grown beets. The buildings was renovated in 2000 for its current use. Awesome concept and beautiful architecture design. They also host weddings and events. They have a banquet room with slideshow equipment. There is also an outdoor lawn and adjoining paved patio area that is shaded in the afternoon by the buildings that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue. On hot summer days, the Delta breeze kicks in for instant cool down. No outside food are picnics are allowed. On the weekends, they have food trucks. Plus the majority of the wineries sell food (appetizers) as well. Also no pets are allowed (excluding service animals). The restrooms are located right by the front entrance.

They have many events here, including private events and wedding. The upcoming event is Port and Chocolate for Valentine's Day. That sounds so delicious. I loved chocolate and my husband is always up to trying another port. Parking- They have a private lot and we were able to easily find a parking spot right in-front of the entrance. Bathrooms- They have many stalls in the bathroom located to the left of the entrance. Temperature- It's cool inside, a little too cool for us today. It was 63 degrees out today and warm in the sun. I bet in the sweltering heat of our summers this is the perfect place to be. The Sugar Mill is an indoor venue. They have three different building with different wineries at this time. So, there is a little walking outside. Wine Barrels- You can buy half wine barrels for your garden for sale. Seating- They have lots of little seating areas. Inside they have a whole room with seating and nice decor. The tables are draped in white table cloths and there are stacks of wine barrels as the back drop. They have a palm court in the back and it's so quaint and beautiful. Perfect for sipping some wine slowly and chit chatting with friends. If you are looking to sit in the sun there is are a set of tables and chairs out back near the food truck. Ambiance- I love the location and building. It's an old Sugar Mill that produced sugar from sugar beets. That industry has now ended and it's now a place to visit many wineries. It's the only place that I know of that have numerous wineries and offer wine tasing for a minimum fee.

We got married at Scribner Bend in May 2025 and it was a dream from start to finish!…read more Scribner Bend was the only venue we visited during our wedding planning process because we felt so pleased with the beauty, charm, pricing, and process they offered. We were especially pleased by how much was included in the venue package that we didn't have to coordinate separately, like lighting, tables, and chairs. Shaye was an absolute delight to work with and we always felt cared for. As a queer couple, it was so nice to feel welcomed and accepted by Scribner Bend and all of their preferred vendors we spoke with. May was the perfect time to be there, the white roses on the arches were in bloom which complemented the rest of our florals beautifully. Our whole day flowed so smoothly thanks to Deija, our day-of planner provided by Scribner Bend, and all of the rest of the staff. All of our guests were so complimentary of the wine, the setting, and the flow of the evening. We really could not have wished for a better venue experience. We also want to note, Paesanos was an exceptional caterer! I know some might be concerned with not having a choice of caterer but we found it to be a relief (one less vendor to coordinate) and Paesanos did a fantastic job. Rain was amazing at communication, and Diana was wonderful to work with on the day. They even packed up a couple of containers of leftovers for us to go home with. Thank you, Scribner Bend, for being an excellent venue!
