Cristaldi Vineyards is such a lovely, intimate winery tucked away in the hills of Loomis. This winery took us to a quaint villa in Italy with amazing service and incredible company. The owners David and Ramona were such a delight to meet and chat with, they really took the time to have a conversation with you if you wanted to chat but would respect your privacy if you wanted to just enjoy the wine and the view! The wines were also just a delight, they mimicked the flavors of Italy and the tasting included 4 but they also included a complimentary fifth Grenache Blanc and Picpoul wine and it was just perfect on a nice warm sunny day! We highly recommend this winery if you are looking to have a mellow intimate time with an SO or a couple of friends. They also included some breadsticks as we tasted and we really enjoyed their hospitality all around. We will definitely be coming back to stay in their attached airbnb, as the atmosphere was perfect for a little getaway with an amazing pool and optional private dinner. Book your tasting and vacation here!

Wine tasting the right way...pairing food and wine makes the $25 fee worth it

A nice family owned winery tucked away in the hills of Loomis with a very scenic view of the Sacramento valley while you're enjoying your wine. We had to make reservations ahead of time because they are only open in certain weekends each month and the tasting fee is higher than most other Placer County wineries but it is well worth it. We walked through the vineyards to get to the tasting area and were met by the owner. We got to sample 6 wines that day and they provided a charcuterie board to pair with each wine. We ended up buying 2 wines that day and have added this winery to places we like to visit.

Reservations only so the parking is sparse, but they tell you in advance where to park. It's a pretty decent dirt hike from the lot to the winery so wear comfy shoes. The winery has no tasting room (I don't think?) you sit at outdoor tables and they serve you at your table. The hosts (vintners?) are friendly and knowledgeable, the personal charcuterie plates are wonderful, the ambience is perfect. They sell items that they make on the side, delicious biscotti, jams etc. The pours were very generous, the wines themselves were just so so, but worth the experience! I would definitely go again!

My maid of honors surprised me for my Bachlorette with wine tasting here and let me tell you that this was the best experience I've had EVER! The wines are delicious, the charcuterie board was amazing, the owners are so sweet and friendly and made it very easy to follow along (it was the first tasting for 2 of my girls) the scenery is beautiful! Def coming back with my family and many more times. Highly recommend it :)

What a wonderful afternoon. Great environment and views. Wines are some of the best in the area. Owners make you feel so special and welcome. The walk up from parking area is nice...you can stop and look at olive trees and grape wine. Can not wait until spring for the next tasting.

Great small place, feels like family! Really, really awesome wines. Appointments are required, which we did not have, but they accommodated all 8 of us with incredible hospitality!

    Beautiful views!

We booked a private tasting here yesterday for my birthday and it was amazing! Honestly, I've wine tasted at a lot of places around here on the Placer Wine Trail, Amador Wine Trail, Napa Valley and surrounding areas, but this was the nicest place we've ever been to by far! The owner and his wife were super nice and hospitable! We were greeted with glasses of champagne and an adorable little set up that included a nice sitting area with pretty flowers on the table. The tasting was paced nicely, with info about the wines, as well as a plate of food for each guest that was paired to the wine. The wines were delicious and some of the best we've tasted around here! We will absolutely be back!

We invited friends and family for an afternoon tasting, grabbed lunch from the café next door, and expected a warm local winery experience. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the most disappointing tasting room visits we've had. The biggest issue was the complete lack of hospitality and awareness toward an older woman in our group recovering from knee surgery. There was no accommodation, no concern, no acknowledgment whatsoever. Instead of any table service or attentiveness, we repeatedly had to get up and walk inside the tasting room over and over for every single pour. By the end of the tasting, we got more steps in than a cattle drive. The two ladies working behind the counter looked like they were counting the minutes until closing time. No smiles. No energy. No effort to educate us about the wines, engage with guests, or make anyone feel welcome. We honestly felt more like an inconvenience than paying customers. I've seen friendlier expressions on bulls during branding season. What makes this especially frustrating is that the tasting room wasn't even busy -- there were maybe three other couples there besides our group. This wasn't staff being overwhelmed. It simply came across as lazy, disengaged, and rude service. The only thing flowing less than the hospitality was the wine pours. What surprised us most is that we've visited several other local wineries in the area over the years and have consistently experienced warm hospitality, friendliness, and genuine customer care. So this experience really stood out -- and not in a good way. Usually wine country feels welcoming. Here, we felt like a herd that wandered into the wrong pasture. Such a shame because the location and concept have so much potential, and we really wanted to support a local winery so close to home. Sadly, our guests left just as disappointed as we did. This tasting experience had less warmth than a steel feed trough in January. Mad Cow Review Rating: -- Two Bulls Down Great opportunity. Terrible hospitality. Would've had a better customer experience being licked by a pasture cow.

This tasting room is looking to provide high quality service that people would expect from more established wineries and they are doing it right. I've been here 4 times by the time of writing this review and the experiences have all been fantastic. All the staff really do invest in the guests. Very knowledgeable about the wine and dishes. They take the time to really break down the wine and food if you don't know your stuff like me. They check up on you frequently! I really enjoyed the Carmenere wine. It's not as dry and is easily palatable for people who don't usually prefer red wines. I'm not super knowledgable in wine, but the flavors were earthy and slightly dark fruity taste. Some nights they have live music or events to meet the owners. Can't wait to see how the vineyard turns out if this is just a sneak peak of what's to come!

They not only have a large selection of wines that we learned are made in Granite Bay, but they also have a long list of delicious foods including a list of specials that includes steak and a potato soup paired with focaccia! Based on my wine tasting experiences, I must say they have one of the best and largest food menus I've ever seen, so I was very impressed by their menu and knowing they have their own chef! We enjoyed our white and red wines, including Sierra Foothills Estate Barbera, Sierra Foothills Viognier, Petaluma Gap Chardonnay, and rosé. I must say I ate the most savory, flavor-filled, crab cakes sitting on a delicious river of remoulade, topped with artichoke, fennel, pickled peppers, with a side of romesco sauce. We couldn't resist adding baked brie to our food tasting selections. The service is excellent and we learned how their wines are made and they will be opening another Lecavalier Cellars with a wine cave near Loomis in Spring 2026! I enjoyed the beautiful ambiance and the excellent music that was icing on the cake! We are already talking about coming back! Cheers!
