My husband and I have been long time Bogle Wine fans - continually impressed by Bogle's consistent and outstanding quality across all the Family's wines available at Raley's Stores. And it is a source of great pride to find our local, Greater Sacramento-Delta Bogle wines when we travel outside of California or USA. In fact, we were thrilled to enjoy a bottle in Shanghai, China! But we had never been to the Bogle Family Ranch and Vineyards outside of Clarksburg, CA. We finally reserved a couple of hours to visit the winery - and can't say enough good things! We enjoyed several, terrific wines not available in our local stores - such as their delicious Sparkling Rose! But more importantly, experienced a lovely afternoon on the BEAUTIFUL Bogle Family Ranch grounds! Everything around us was green and gorgeous; with cool breezes due to the surrounding water of the Sacramento River. The picnic tables were warm and inviting. The snacks were great (we brought a picnic lunch). And EVERY employee with which we spoke was excited to educate and inspire us - taking great pride in Bogle Family's six generations of Delta farming; sincere commitment to sustainability and the community; and vision of how the family plans to continue the winery's growth and international expansion, while maintaining its commitment to winemaking excellence. Every staff member that we met had been Bogle employees for over 10 years at least (a couple over 30!). I think it really says a lot about a company and family when their employees promote and compliment - even when the bosses are not in the room! While we had originally planned just a one-time visit to the Bogle vineyards, we left as Bogle Family Wine Club Members. I was really looking forward to visiting Bogle Winery since I'd never been before and had heard great things. The wine and property are lovely -- unfortunately the welcome at the door felt like an audition for "Most Judgmental Winery Greeter." When we walked in, the woman at the front greeted us with a slow head-to-toe scan before even saying hello. For context, we weren't exactly stumbling in from a river float -- Patagonia, designer black jeans, nice casual wine-country attire. My partner was dressed similarly. Completely normal for a winery visit. Since it was my first time there, I asked where we should go. She informed us -- while continuing the visual inspection -- that upstairs was reserved for more formally dressed guests with reservations. The upstairs area, by the way, was completely empty. She then told us we could "go help ourselves around the corner." The tone was less "welcome to wine country" and more "you appear to be beneath the staircase." Honestly, I've been to plenty of wineries, from casual tasting rooms to higher-end spots, and I've never been greeted with that level of instant judgment. It was oddly hostile for a place that literally sells a beverage meant for relaxing. The ironic part is that after getting past that moment, the rest of the experience was actually nice. The wine was good, the grounds are pretty, and the other staff we interacted with were perfectly pleasant. But that initial interaction? Brutal. If first impressions matter (and they do in hospitality), someone might want to let the front door know that sizing people up like a nightclub bouncer at 1am isn't exactly the warm, welcoming winery vibe most people are hoping for. I am a big wine girlie, and when I heard about this spot, I had to come here. My siblings are not into wine as much as I am, but we truly did have fun. The vibe was amazing. The service was quick, and they made sure our wine tasting was amazing. The view is beautiful, even though we went during winter and the grapes are not in season. It is still beautiful. What a great experience. We live in Sacramento so it wasn't a too far of a drive, but it's kind of scary driving on the levee roads. I'm glad my husband was driving. Right near the winery there are no dividing lines so it appears to be a one lane road, but it's actually 2 lanes. A couple of cars passed us going the other way. Scary. I slowed down really slow so they could pass, I wasn't sure I was pulled over far enough. Don't follow the GPS as it will take you the long way. Turn right if you are coming from Sacramento at the Bogle Winery sign. We went in a loop after missing our turn. There really isn't a way to make a u turn on the levee road. When we arrived we weren't sure where to park. There were several parking spaces at the end of the driveway that looked good, but there was a sign that said parking this way. Soon as we turned right all you see is 2 handicapped parking spaces. As you turn left a whole lot shows up and there were a few spaces left. The spaces are a little tight. We found parking so all was good. After you park you walk to the 2 story building and that's where the winery is. There isn't a real sign that directs you. There is an old fashion truck in front that is quite cute and would make a great photo op. Just don't touch it, so no climbing on for a even better photo op. When you get to the 2 story building walk in on the ground floor to check in. There isn't a sign and it's a bit dark in there. We took our chances and walked in. We were greeted warmly. We had the option of getting wine by the glass or bottle and sitting in the yard. The yard is beautiful. There is seating in the sun and shade. There are wooden lounge chairs that go in a circle for a group or there are picnic tables. People were at both. It looked like most people came in medium size groups. The other option is a wine tasting upstairs. You have a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. We opted for the wine tasting. The cost is $25 per person and comes with some palette cleansers. The palette cleansers consisted of Dried cranberries, Dried Apricots, Cashews, and a couple of breadsticks. We opted for one wine tasting and for me a charcuterie board. I don't drink wine, but I love charcuterie boards. The board was $35. Ten more dollars than the charcuterie boards they have downstairs in the fridge. I'm not sure it's the exact size, but it appeared to be the same. So there is an $10 up fee for eating in house. Either way it's still a good deal for the wine tasting and charcuterie board. We were expecting the experience to be much more. The charcuterie board is said to feed 3 people. If the three are light eaters. It should be fine if they are paring it with wine and they also have the pallet cleansing selection for the wine tasting. From what it looked like in the table behind us it's one pallet cleansing for two people. We ate most of the charcuterie board and took home a little. They also give you two chocolate chip cookies as you finish up. We were full so we didn't have those and just took them home. Hopefully they will last a couple of days as we went this past Sunday and now it's Wednesday and we still haven't eaten them yet. They are stored in Tupperware so they should last. As for the wine tasting they have a large selection of wines. They have a two sided menu. One section is stuff you can buy in all the stores such as Raley's and Pedricks, at least those are the stores we shop at and see them. Then the other several sections are as followed, a reserve section that they only have on site. Then they have 2 different sections two different labels they use, all made from there wines just different labels. These wines can be found in stores such as trader joes and at restaurants. My husband tried one of the reserve wines and four of the other wines that you can only buy on property. He said he already buys the ones they sell in the stores and doesn't need to try those. Wine tasting is any 5 wines. He really enjoyed the tasting experience and got 2 different bottles out of the 5 wines. They bring all of the wines out at once in stemless wine glasses and set them in a row before you and give you a cheat sheet to show you which wines is which. Other than the scary drive over we had a lovely experience. I highly recommend this place to everyone if you love wine and charcuterie boards. I recommend the wine tasting as a fun experience so you can try new things. Then if you want next time you can sit downstairs and enjoy the wines you tried on your first visit or you second half of your visit. Had a great time! Driving there was a bit scary but surely enough was beautiful. Such beautiful acres and great vibes all around. We went inside and checked in, was given complimentary wine/champagne as we waited. There's a cute outdoor patio open to everyone with heaters, chairs and tables. First come first serve. We ordered the wine tasting flight, which I believe was only $25 and the charcuterie board was $15? Super affordable and worth it. This was my first time at Bogle Vineyards (or at any winery in Claksburg) and I had an excellent experience. We came on a Friday afternoon when there was clear skies and perfect weather. We did the wine tasting on their upstairs porch, which was shaded and had great views of their vineyard. They gave us a glass of sparkling rosé when we first arrived, which was really nice. During the wine tasting, we were each able to choose 5 different pours from their menu. I chose the 2023 Blanc de Blancs, 2019 Reserve Malbec, Juggernaut- 2021 Russian River Pinot Noir, Petite Sirah, and the 2019 Reverence. All of the wines were really good, but the Reverence was definitely my favorite. The Reverence is a mix of reds including Cab, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. It had such a nice flavor, we got this bottle to go. The only sell the Reverence at the vineyard. The staff provided us with a few snacks with our tasting - some dried fruit, breadsticks, nuts, and chocolate chip cookies. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and provided great customer service. Our server provided great recommendations on the wines and was really nice. All the staff we encountered helped make our experience great. I would recommend coming to Bogle Vineyards for wine tasting or just to buy some wine and enjoy it at the vineyard. I believe tastings were $20 a piece and you got a welcome glass of bubbly and 5 (generous) portions of wine plus some small snacks. I had Great experience over the weekend. There was live music over the weekend which was nice. There were a few food vendors. Many seating outdoor and indoor seating. Host greeted us at the front and gave us our wristbands and cup for tasting. They walked us through of what we need to do and guided us where each station is located. Every year I wait for the new Bogle Phantom as it's released in the fall right before Halloween. I don't want to spoil the story about the phantom but just to inform y'all by definition "Bogle" is synonymous with "Phantom". Creepy right?!?...Wrong!, it's both mysterious and macabre, and their wine is on point!. Bogel's Essential Red is one of my all time favorite table reds. It's made from four varietals, old vine zin, syrah, cab sauv, and petit syrah. This wine is perfect for sipping before, during, or after a winter meal. Essential Red has a beautiful deep purply red color, and it clings beautifully to the side of any glass. Reverence is a notch above the Essential red. Reverence Red is also comprised of four varietals. This wine is inky in color and it's jammmmmy! Please oh please give me some toast for my jammmm-y wine...I can't get enough of this juice. Reverence is the wine to serve up on special occasions. Uhhh ... that is if you consider a Friday evening after a long work week a special occasion. Reverence Red is only sold at the vineyard and it's sooooo worth the drive through clarksburg winding vineyard roads. This table red has a split personality as it's BIG and jammy akin to the notion of evil and sweet, a dichotomy indeed! Reverence red's color is inky and the bouquet will release on one simple swirl. If you're a big Red you will not be disappointed with Bogle's new releases. Additional supportive factoid Bogle scored an 88 and placed silver for their Essential Red at the California state fair (summer 2024). This red table wine is scrumptious and it has an extremely economical the price point. read more

Had a lovely visit on a rainy Saturday. I love that you get to pick your 5 wines from a very extensive list, but they also provide recommended fights if you need or want help choosing. The service was so very friendly and relaxed. We never felt rushed, even when they were approaching closing. This winery is tucked away off the beaten path past old sugar mill, about 30 min outside of Sacramento. I've been there 2x in the last month and both times we had good service. One was a walk in where it was a busy Saturday and they did not have much room, but let us buy a bottle and pull up seats on the grass. They do not allow dogs. If you're a member you can reserve a picnic table for free which includes 2 bottles of wine and you can bring your own food to picnic. We came on a weekday and it was perfect. We were so looking forward to visiting your winery because it is my favorite wine. We went about 15 miles out of our way to make this visit. We approached the entrance with our small dog only to be firmly told that the winery was not pet friendly. There was a lovely, large grass area that had only one table occupied, but there was no budging on their part. Shawn was awesome. Some exemplary customer service. We were there for their fist concert of the 2024 season. It's a nice intimate venue that's well shaded by the buildings and the tall oaks. Outside food and beverage is welcome with the exception of outside alcohol. It was a warm day but there was a swamp cooler for a quick chill down. The tasting room was also well chilled. There was a nice selection of charcuterie and cheeses for purchase. There was also other nibbles and snacks to round out the offerings. We joined the Bandwagon 20 year's ago after attending a crab feed at our Parish Church nearby. We have. Attended countless events there and we always enjoyed visiting the local winery. Sadly, the service has been in decline in recent years. In 2021, we visited with our daughters and young guests. We reserved a table for a tasting upstairs. I was disappointed that the servers did not share any background information about the wines they just plopped it on the table. In. The past, we always got a little wine education with the tastings Last weekend was at an all time low when we asked to sample one of the wines in our shipment. This review is for the Movie Night in the Vines event that takes place once a month from Spring-Summer. Tickets are typically released one month in advance, the next movie is Cocktail (1988) on Fri. May 12th. When I attended, my date said the evening was the most romantic and unforgettable date he'd ever been on. It is worth mentioning that the movie was The Notebook. The drive down to Clarksburg near sunset is so nice. The vineyards are beautifully serene and the wine is solid. It is such a fun adventure! Get there early to claim your spot for the movie and sample unlimited wine tastings prior to the show. Your $25 ticket also includes dinner from a rotating food truck and popcorn. Wine by the glass or bottle is available for purchase after the movie begins. Bring your camp chair, a blanket and bug spray. Depending on the movie, you may want to pack tissues too. Some friends are members, so we decided to take a leisurely Sunday drive to Bogle. Came here because it was my friend's birthday and she is also a member. Bogle Vineyards is a little past Old Sugar Mill out in Clarksburg. From where I live (near 99), it was a quick 30 minute drive. If you live near I-5, it's about a 20 minute drive. Beautiful scenery driving out to Clarksburg with the delta flanking both sides. The road into the vineyard was exceptionally narrow. Luckily, any oncoming traffic, drivers do slow down. We were there for a couple of hours and she was able to reserve 2 tables. My friend was gifted with a tote and stackable plastic wine cups that are reusable and they stack together like Legos. We ordered the Sauvignon Blanc and the Petite Sirah (red) first. After those 2 bottles, we ordered Rosé and Old Vine Zinfandel. My favorites were all the whites, however, I'm a little bias as the whites are what I prefer. Aside from the white wines, Old Vine Zin would have to be my favorite red that was ordered. It was not too heavy and actually pretty sweet. The Petite Sirah smelled complicated but tasting notes did not. It was a little heavy and rich for my liking. They also have snacks to purchase but visitors/members can bring our own snacks and have a picnic. There is an ample amount of seating whether at any of the tables, a lounge patio area or chairs on the green. The vineyard is beautiful. And while I would never comment on porta potties because, hey, they're porta potties...they were quite the upscale porta potties that I have ever seen. Very clean, ventilated and put together. The vineyard is beautiful and service was pretty good. We didn't get to see our server too much because it was very busy. They are closed for the 4th of July so it was only natural and expected to be busy the day before a holiday. Overall, I was happy to have come and visit a local winery. As a Californian, we are truly so spoiled with all the wineries that are within driving distance! read more

I've been a Bogle fan since living in the bay area many, many years ago. And I've been a Bogle Bandwagon member since then. It's about time I wrote about how fantastic Bogle is, especially after having the chance to visit their Home Ranch again this week! First and foremost - the wine. After just one bottle of any of their wines, you quickly learn the value of the product they produce. Every wine is excellent and if you didn't know the cost, you'd probably guess it was higher. My go to favorite for myself and to share with others is Essential Red, and all time super cost effective favorite is the Old Vine Zinfandel. Unbelievable for under $10. Being a bandwagon member allows you to receive quarterly shipments of wines that they don't distribute in stores. Check their website to see what some of the current selections are. I am so impressed with every bottle we open. You can tell they take such pride in their products and only bottle the best of the best. Visiting their vineyard is also a great experience. It's the Napa feel without the crowds. Peace, tranquility, and they've truly captured as they say that "welcome home" feeling. Like family would. I will forever be a Bogle lover. We have been buying Bogle wine for years, but had never visited. What an excellent opportunity it is to experience the winery and tasting room first hand. Firstly you can't beat the location and the view from the tasting room; 400 acres of vineyards spread before you. And this is not a stuck-up wine experience, this is a large menu of great wines (at a great price point) served by friendly and non-pushy people that know their stuff. My friend invited me to go to the Movie Night in the Vines event at Bogle Vineyards, which started at 7:30 pm on a Friday evening. Members of the winery paid $20 per ticket for the event, and the ticket price came with free tasting, free popcorn, and dinner. This was my first time at Bogle Vineyards and I was surprised by how far into the middle of nowhere it was. The road to it was quite small and it was quite a trek to get there. Arriving at the winery was quite a pleasant surprise. It seemed cozy and elegant. There was a fast-moving line to get in. You were offered a tasting glass with a ticket in it, and they offered another drink on the way in. I got the coco-mo "corktail" and it had coconut and pineapple flavors. Very tropical and perfect for the weather. There was a much-needed bug spray bar, where an array of bug spray was available for use. Totally recommend using bug-spray because there were TONS of bugs. The dinner was provided by Ash and Oil and they had two options: loaded hot dog or loaded wonton chips. It was definitely delicious, but portions were a bit small (but probably appropriate). Members get a wonderful discount on Bogle Vineyards wine, so we bought 3 bottles - which turned out to be less than $30 including tip. I'm definitely coming back to the next Movie Night. In June 2023, they're supposed to be showing Jaws. I'm excited for that! read more

We came here last night with some friends. All of us love trying new vineyards and this was our first trip to Bogle. Jadi was our wine expert and she was FABULOUS. The whole experience was comfortable, relaxed, and enjoyable. Our visit started with a glass of bubbly, which we got to enjoy outside. We were then taken upstairs where we got to choose our flight and enjoy a charcuterie board. I am already planning my next visit! read more

Great vineyard to go to, lots of seating and great service. Our server recommended us the moscato and it was perfect! Nice and light with a hint of sweetness. Definitely worth the try. You can bring your own snacks and set up how you like while sipping on some wine! read more
