Flew in for a wedding and was pleasantly surprised on how beautiful the grounds are. The lights just lit the winery up so lovely. The staff was very attentive and friendly. But the food! Muah to the chef on the flank steak with gorgonzola butter. So delicious.!

One of my favorite wineries to visit for wine tasting and lunch! My friend and I both chose to wine taste! We both ordered the mixed flight that came with a combination of white and red wines. We chose a shaded table in the courtyard near the Paesanos kitchen! Shortly after ordering fried raviolis, a pizza, and a salad, we were brought our wines! Loved the fact that paesanos is here offering a full lunch service! Many other wineries only offer charcuterie , this is a great addition here! All of the wines paired beautifully with the Italian food we devoured for lunch. The courtyard offers plenty of seating and an abundance of shade. Even though it was a bit of a warmer day in the region, we felt comfortable in the shade. The two wine tastings were a little over $30.00, which I found the be very reasonably priced! I also purchase a bottle of their delicious sparkling almond wine to enjoy at a later time. Absolutely recommend this spot if you are in search of delicious wine and Italian food with a beautiful surrounding.

Scribner Bend Vineyards was one of the last wedding venues that we toured in March of 2024, and the moment we walked the beautiful grounds and got a feel for the flow of how our wedding day would look, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. We were luckily enough to lock in a Saturday in October of 2025. We not only fell in love with the natural beauty of the property, but we were impressed by how kind and welcoming all of the staff were (Shaye at the time and then Hillary), greeting us with their amazing signature almond champagne. Since we had over a year to plan our wedding, we were able to attend 2 wedding open houses hosted at Scribner Bend and the staff greeted us so warmly, remembering our names and making us feel right at home. We also got to know some of their incredible preferred vendors such as Jackie's Flowers, Rain from Paesanos Catering, and the Elegant Events Media Team. They continued to be great to work with, super communicative, flexible, and open to any and all ideas that we had to execute our wedding vision flawlessly. Leading up to wedding day and at our rehearsal practice, the day of coordinator, Hillary, was so great and organized, making us feel at ease and confident for anything that wedding day could throw at us. Scribner Bend Vineyards could not have been a more stunning wedding venue. The Bungalow was a great spot for getting ready and it was so fun to hang out with the girls and watch the guests arrive through the window on the upper level of the house. The vineyard was absolutely gorgeous, golden hour in the vineyard was dreamy, guests loved all of the various seating areas throughout the whole night to chat with family and friends. The food was so delicious and well organized. The staff was all so friendly and accommodating (Hillary brought champagne for us after we walked back down the aisle before we escaped for our sunset photos, the Paesanos catering team fixed us plates of appetizers and dinner and set up our sweetheart table with everything that we needed). Our grand entrance through the barn doors onto the dance floor with the guests circled around the hedges was a major highlight, and the fountain filled with flowers was picture perfect. It has meant the world to us to hear that so many of our guests who attended our wedding have been telling us that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. Overall, we would so highly recommend Scribner Bend Vineyards for anyone, we would 1000% get married here again. We will be recommending it to all of our friends in the hopes that one day we will get to be the guests at such an awesome wedding venue. Will add more pictures of the venue itself on our wedding day once we get more professionals back :)

The band Que Bossa playing on a beautiful Friday afternoon.

We spent a wonderful few hours on a Friday afternoon here. Nice location just off Highway 160, plenty of parking and abundant seating areas. Wine was excellent, small tasting room but staffed with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful people. Reasonable prices for both glasses and bottles. Paesano's Pizza seems to be their mainstay food vendor on site and the don't disappoint either. Since it was Friday, it was "Music on the Bend" time with a cool trio playing all sorts of covers from different genres bossa nova style -- and it works! Definitely a place we will come back to -- thanks to everyone there for a great experience!

    Kristin E.

First time here... beautiful grounds and attentive staff. The wine was top-notch, and service was in point. Brandon and Sharon were the best for tasting all the amazing wines. We also had some yummy pizzas from Paesano's kitchen area. Would definitely recommend this winery. They also had charcuterie items if you decide you want to go with that... all together very enjoyable

    Saturday with the family!

I often frequent this location with my family (Daughter, Son-in-law and 2 toddlers) the food has always been so GOOOOOODDDD!! and the service meh sometime I get a weird vibe from staff here... not sure what's up with that but I recall my daughter had a bad experience the first time she came. Thankfully it's gotten better. I LOVE their Almond Sparkling Wine and the Brussel Sprouts... and the Farmer's Market Salad the Pizza is decent and the kids like it. Paesanos does the food here. Plenty of seating under a tent or at tables next to the outdoor kitchen area. Adjacent parking makes this a really cool convenient place for a weekend outing. Respectfully Reviewed.

The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a historic beet sugar refinery from 1934-1993 that has wine shops and tasting rooms for local wineries. They have over a dozen wineries. Wine tastings average $15 and most wineries waive the fee if you buy a bottle. They have wine shops in the main building and in the other building. Don't forget to walk back and to the right to the shops in the separate back building, there is 3-4 more wineries. Each winery are literal walled shops with their own seating areas. Temperature controlled which is nice on hot summer days. Each have their own wine tasting, food offerings, and special events. Old Sugar Mill is less than 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The buildings are beautiful. They kept the historic brick walls and exterior. It has a modern shabby chic look. Three different brands owned the refinery. It all began in 1934 with Amalgamated, American Crystal Sugar Factory (1936-1982), and Delta Sugar (1983-1993). The sugar was refined by local Northern Californian grown beets. The buildings was renovated in 2000 for its current use. Awesome concept and beautiful architecture design. They also host weddings and events. They have a banquet room with slideshow equipment. There is also an outdoor lawn and adjoining paved patio area that is shaded in the afternoon by the buildings that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue. On hot summer days, the Delta breeze kicks in for instant cool down. No outside food are picnics are allowed. On the weekends, they have food trucks. Plus the majority of the wineries sell food (appetizers) as well. Also no pets are allowed (excluding service animals). The restrooms are located right by the front entrance.

They have many events here, including private events and wedding. The upcoming event is Port and Chocolate for Valentine's Day. That sounds so delicious. Bathrooms- They have many stalls in the bathroom located to the left of the entrance. Temperature- It's cool inside, a little too cool for us today. It was 63 degrees out today and warm in the sun. I bet in the sweltering heat of our summers this is the perfect place to be. The Sugar Mill is an indoor venue. They have three different building with different wineries at this time. So, there is a little walking outside. Wine Barrels- You can buy half wine barrels for your garden for sale. Seating- They have lots of little seating areas. Inside they have a whole room with seating and nice decor. The tables are draped in white table cloths and there are stacks of wine barrels as the back drop. They have a palm court in the back and it's so quaint and beautiful. Perfect for sipping some wine slowly and chit chatting with friends. If you are looking to sit in the sun there is are a set of tables and chairs out back near the food truck. Ambiance- I love the location and building. It's an old Sugar Mill that produced sugar from sugar beets. That industry has now ended and it's now a place to visit many wineries. It's the only place that I know of that have numerous wineries and offer wine tasing for a minimum fee.

And it is a source of great pride to find our local, Greater Sacramento-Delta Bogle wines when we travel outside of California or USA. In fact, we were thrilled to enjoy a bottle in Shanghai, China! But we had never been to the Bogle Family Ranch and Vineyards outside of Clarksburg, CA. We finally reserved a couple of hours to visit the winery - and can't say enough good things! We enjoyed several, terrific wines not available in our local stores - such as their delicious Sparkling Rose! But more importantly, experienced a lovely afternoon on the BEAUTIFUL Bogle Family Ranch grounds! Everything around us was green and gorgeous; with cool breezes due to the surrounding water of the Sacramento River. The picnic tables were warm and inviting. The snacks were great (we brought a picnic lunch). And EVERY employee with which we spoke was excited to educate and inspire us - taking great pride in Bogle Family's six generations of Delta farming; sincere commitment to sustainability and the community; and vision of how the family plans to continue the winery's growth and international expansion, while maintaining its commitment to winemaking excellence. Every staff member that we met had been Bogle employees for over 10 years at least (a couple over 30!). I think it really says a lot about a company and family when their employees promote and compliment - even when the bosses are not in the room! While we had originally planned just a one-time visit to the Bogle vineyards, we left as Bogle Family Wine Club Members. The wine and property are lovely -- unfortunately the welcome at the door felt like an audition for "Most Judgmental Winery Greeter." When we walked in, the woman at the front greeted us with a slow head-to-toe scan before even saying hello. For context, we weren't exactly stumbling in from a river float -- Patagonia, designer black jeans, nice casual wine-country attire. My partner was dressed similarly. Completely normal for a winery visit. Since it was my first time there, I asked where we should go. She informed us -- while continuing the visual inspection -- that upstairs was reserved for more formally dressed guests with reservations. The upstairs area, by the way, was completely empty. She then told us we could "go help ourselves around the corner." The tone was less "welcome to wine country" and more "you appear to be beneath the staircase." Honestly, I've been to plenty of wineries, from casual tasting rooms to higher-end spots, and I've never been greeted with that level of instant judgment. It was oddly hostile for a place that literally sells a beverage meant for relaxing. The ironic part is that after getting past that moment, the rest of the experience was actually nice. The wine was good, the grounds are pretty, and the other staff we interacted with were perfectly pleasant. But that initial interaction? Brutal. If first impressions matter (and they do in hospitality), someone might want to let the front door know that sizing people up like a nightclub bouncer at 1am isn't exactly the warm, welcoming winery vibe most people are hoping for. Great wine. Beautiful place. One spectacularly toxic greeting.

Enough for one person. 8) Drinks were ok. Water tasted good. No funky or metal taste to it. 9) two porter potty bathroom but clean. Not the typical blue porter potties at putdoor events. A little nicer and it flushes. 10) our server was very nice. Cons 1) it took a long time to get our meals once we ordered. We were seated at 12pm. But we didn't get our salads and sandwiches till like an hourish later. By the time our foods came out, we sat to catch up and eat, and celebrate a bday, it was like 1:45ish already. Gift shop closes at 2pm. 2) our young server seems like she's still in training. But she was good. Wish they check on their customers more often. But maybe she was the only one taking orders. I don't know. 3) Conclusion This location was nice. Clean. Pretty. There wasn't any lavender blooming when we were there. But I heard it's a hit and miss to catch it in bloom too get beautiful pictures. It's ok though. We found other areas to get nice photos in. Foods were ok. Meh. But salads looked pretty and in large portions. Chicken on the salads were perfectly made. It was juicy and not dry. Each of our plates were $18. There is a small drinks menu. With both their menus being short, it made it so much easier to order something. Love that no one rushed us out after 2pm. We were allow to take our time on the area to take photos. They were setting up for a 4pm wedding. Not to bad here.

Lina stepped up for us and helped put together a FANTASTIC party. She transformed a businesslike boardroom into a magical place for a ceremony. She provided the tables, chairs, curtains, most of the decorations, and did the floral pieces as well. She coordinated with our vendors and helped make the ceremony and luncheon one that my parents and their guests will remember forever. In addition to all the setup and coordination, she suggested a photo booth that would print out photos right there that all our guests enjoyed. We could not have done it without her and would gladly recommend her to anyone.

Once we eventually got our photos back we could see just how badly she had done. She used fake flowers when we paid for real, used the literal cheapest decor everywhere possible. We were sold a dream and were left with unlit tacky candles, plastic walls, exposed sand bags and BARE minimum decor. Practically everything she did for us was CHEAP and TACKY. She lied to us about having "a team" when it was just her husband and son that evening. When we reached out for a refund she agreed (clearly she knew she didn't do a good job) but when it was time to pay us she ghosted us for a year despite multiple efforts. Stay far away!!!
