Sunday, 6/09/2019 - First time here. Beautiful vineyard. Very cute. You need to keep your eyes open when driving to it. One blink of an eye and you'll miss the entrance. That's what happened to me. Our take on this cute little place (I only stayed for 20 minutes): Pros: 1) very small and cute. Intimate. 2) smal band playing music the whole time we're there. Nice entertainment. 3) cute little shop. 4) we got a salad and pizza. Not bad. 5) 2 wine bottles. Drank 1 1/2 bottle of our delicious wine. 6) very clean 7) nice set up for weddings and parties. 8) everyone was very nice there. 9) they had outside tables with the umbrellas up. It was very hot today. 10) there is wine tasting here. Cons: 1) I didn't experience any cons. I like my 20 minutes experience here. Will probably try this place again and see how it is. I gave it a 3 star because I didn't really get to interact with any of the staff directly. Just from what my friend said. read more

Excellent selection of delicious wine and great customer service. This is a perfect local place to shop for gifts that are sure to please. We love their Black Hat Tempranillo and Fiano. I went here on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate my birthday with friends. This is such a nice getaway from the city - it feels very secluded and everything is absolutely beautiful. You can buy wine by the glass, bottle or do a sampler (they pick the samples). Everything is pretty affordable and the wine is delicious and refreshing. I loved the whites on a warm spring day! No one came around to rush you, tables are very distanced. The ambience was perfect to relax with my friends. There are also food options, such as cheese boards, which I would love to try next time. My sister and I can't thank Christine enough! When we got there she asked if we had been helped, seconds after we had walked in. She asked if it was our first time, I let her know yes & she went around the counter and gave us a explanation about the location which was super nice of her. She then went back to the counter and asked us what our favorite type of wine is what kind of taste we prefer and from there we did process of elimination. She was able to pinpoint the exact taste of wine my sister and I love. I wish I can remember what the mix was that she did, I was amazed how she was able to figure it out spot on! This is a beautiful vineyard I can see why people have their weddings here. The service was good, the food was delicious. We ordered two pizzas, one all meat and the other with pear. Can't wait to go back and order again. The bottle of wine we had with our pizzas was good. I can't say anymore because I was enjoying the wine too much, didn't even think to take pictures of anything. I will be going back soon so I'll update this post. read more

Overpriced, poor service, horrible food... don't use this place for any type of special event.

I unfortunately have to reiterate the concerns from others in these reviews. I came in with my fiancé to tour the venue for our upcoming wedding. I was extremely excited, but was immediately met with a woman who snapped at us and said, "What do you think you're doing here?" with the largest scowl on her face. The tone, body language, and choice of words had a pretty blatant implication that she felt we were below her and did not belong there. I told her that we were going to do our scheduled tour but didn't know where to find our contact. She just walked off without saying another word. Then ANOTHER staff member walked by, politely asked how they could help us, and got our contact. As pretty as the venue is, the experience left a very sour taste in my mouth. Despite how nice the venue is, the only thing we talked about when we left was the rude woman we would have to work with if we chose this venue. Others in the reviews cite racism as the possible problem. I would hate to assume that, but find it worth mentioning that my partner and I are also POC. Super disappointed, but *happily* taking my business elsewhere. It seems like she also causes unnecessary and irrational stress on wedding days for people who are paying way too much to be treated that way. Read the reviews before you consider this venue, or even a simple tour. read more

Honestly, this venue exceeded my wedding dreams. Everyone was so helpful throughout mine and my husband's wedding journey. Jessica was always there to guide us, and Rain was amazing when we needed help with the catering. The food was phenomenal my guests raved about it! It's not often that you have high expectations when it comes to wedding food especially when it is Buffett, but I was very impressed. The onsite bridal cottage came handy when it came to pictures. It was so beautiful we had a fall wedding so the leaves changing to the fall colors were a great touch. I didn't have to do much with my flowers because the whole place is full of beautiful foliage!! We loved this place! We came for the first time for a wedding venue tour with Jessica. She was fantastic! She anticipated all of our questions and walked us through the entire venue and what our day would look like. She's extremely knowledgeable and even got married there herself! The location is great - just past the town of Freeport and near Delta Shores. The property is beautiful and lined with vines. Patios and reception area were gorgeous (even complete with a giant fire place). As for the wine, it was just as good! We tasted all of the reds and went home with a bottle. It's very cool that Paesanos is family because they have a kitchen on site and you can eat Paesanos there on the weekends! We'll absolutely be back whether we choose this as a wedding venue or not! read more

A wonderful day at a great local winery. We decided to splurge and rent the gazebo for a special birthday. You pre-pay for the charcuterie and your wine and then you bring it to use your table. This was the perfect little spot to get away from everything, winde down for a few hours and get a glace of wine. Its just a cute little vineyard that is right on the outskirts of sacramento. I highly recommend going on a weekend beacuse they actually have food that you can order then. When we were there, there was actually a wedding being hosted there, so we had to be kind of quick. I really enjoyed the fact that the flowers were in full bloom here and that the grapes were on the vine. It gave the place the full vinyardy look! We did the 5 taster glasses and I am pretty sure I found a new go to wine which was a sparkeling toasted almond wine. We sat out on the vinyard and sipped and talked for a few hours and relaxed to enjoy the wonderful view that we had. It was so relaxing! II came back into Sacramento feeling super refreshed! We got married at Scribner Bend on 6/10/2023, and wow, where do I start? The planning process was remarkable easy. Jessica got back to us as soon as we first reached out, and within a few days we toured the grounds with Laura, who was sweet and professional and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The pricing and payment timeline were totally transparent, and the rest of the planning process was laid out in an organized manner for us. Jessica, Laura, and Sarah gave us outstanding service in the months leading up to our big day. Jessica guided us through the whole process, from picking vendors to creating ceremony diagrams, and answered all of the questions that we had. We had a few last-minute changes (swapping chairs for high chairs, rearranging chairs at tables, adding handicapped parking spots, etc) and every change got implemented perfectly. Jessica also coordinated with all of the vendors on the day of the wedding, so my husband and I were entirely free to spend time with our friends and family. Our wedding day was super relaxed and smooth, since Jessica and the SBV staff had taken care of so much beforehand, and took care of everything else on the day of (to include setting up and breaking down the tables with decorations/table numbers, arranging the right number of handicapped parking spots, accepting flower and cake deliveries, coordinating with out DJ/MC for the sound setup, prepping the bridal bungalow and groomsmen airstream trailer, being welcoming to and readily available for our guests, moving florals from the arch to the reception after the ceremony, etc etc). My bridesmaids and our hair and makeup artists all said that it was the most chill wedding they had ever been a part of, and that's because the staff at SBV did so much behind the scenes for us. The venue itself is jaw-dropping gorgeous. I'm from the east coast, so I love the "lush greens" look, and SBV accomplished that so well, with the rose-covered arches, tall walnut tree, and rows and rows of vines. The whole venue is covered in greenery and smells so lovely because of all of the roses and honeysuckle and jasmine. I love that the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all in different areas, so the guests get to see different scenery as the night goes on. My husband and I really wanted an outdoor wedding, and while the reception is within a tent (for protection from the elements), you are surrounded by greenery the entire night. While the weather on our day was unseasonably beautiful, there's also tons of shade for sunny/hot days. We got away with minimal florals and uplighting, since the venue is already so well lit and beautiful. Finally, because of the location, SBV felt incredibly peaceful and private. There was no chance of disruptions from the outside world. We felt like we were in a little pocket of heaven all night, and in the following few days I lost count of how many people said that it was "the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to". We purchased the package for unlimited wine and beer for our celebration. The wine was delicious and well received. We weren't thrilled about one of the beer options (we were provided with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Coors Light, and Rolling Rock), but we were able to bring a beer of our choice to swap out for one of them. The venue cannot serve hard liquor, but all other beverages are fair game, and our beverages were served exactly as expected. There was never a line at the bar, and our guests drank as much as they wanted. We also opted for the sparkling almond wine toast, which was delicious and well loved. I posted a separate review for Paesanos. Briefly, we received exceptional service and phenomenal food from Rain and the rest of the Paesanos staff. We were blown away by how delicious the food was, and how professional the service was. Check out my other review for more details. Everything considered, we are so, so thankful that Jessica and the other staff at SBV took such great care of us in the months leading up to our wedding day, and our family and friends on the day itself. My husband and I (husband!! ) just got married on 9*10*22! Our wedding was everything we could have ever imagined. From the moment we booked to the night of our wedding, everything was just pure perfection. We felt so heard, understood, guided and 100% accommodated throughout our planning process. Scribner is of course a gorgeous property (even better at night!) , but their wedding coordinator, Jessica, is what sold us. She was just a dream to work with!! And their in house catering team, Paesanos, is just fantastic. Rain, we appreciate you!!! Jessica guided us through booking all of our vendors and answered all of my (MANY) questions! 10/10 we couldn't have done it without her! Wedding weekend..... take us back! Our rehearsal the day before was so quick and efficient and all of our questions were answered. I mean, we didn't have many since everything had already been covered!!! On the day of our wedding, Jessica and Lauren were just FANTASTIC!!! As a bride (one that also works in the event industry) it's just natural that you want everything to go "perfectly" right?! But I felt 100% confident on wedding day letting go and letting the Scribner Bend Wedding team do what they do to make the day the absolute BEST!! And it really was!!! As an out of town couple my fiancé and I knew we wanted our wedding in our hometown. We found Scribner Bend Vineyards online and immediately fell in love with the venue. I had reached out to Jessica and after our emails I had my cousin view the venue while FaceTiming us (since were 1700 miles away) and after our FaceTime chat we knew that this was THE venue! Working with Jessica was such a breeze! She was so organized and would even send me updates on what was needed. On our wedding day everything was so perfect from beginning to end. THE WINERY "HEALTH FAIRE" - A GREAT TIME! It felt like we were arriving at a beautiful outdoor wedding reception, complete with the pavilion tents and the green arbor arches. Such beautiful touches to an already beautiful scenic backdrop on the Delta. And it was like a lovely, wonderful Health Faire that was taking place at the winery, with Whole Foods Market, who put on an incredible spread for us; with Vanilla Bean: Frozen Yogurt & Cupcakes who made these INCREDIBLE bacon cupcakes that everyone seems to die for; and with Capitol Chiropractic, Wellness Massage, and Precious Massage Therapy MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT I was truly inspired by the music by Dinorah - she was incredibly beautiful in her vocal talents that she shared with us. Latin rhythms could sound no smoother than the way she performed them. SCRIBNER VINEYARDS TOUR Such a wonderful owner-proprietor and her team of excellent hosts and docent. We had so much fun drinking their sparkly. They also had many diverse micro-brews available for us to enjoy. We also got to enjoy a wonderful "Barrel Room Tour" by their docent who was extremely proficient in telling us about the kinds of wines and the history of wine in general. It was a extremely enjoyable time, especially when she let us sample some of the yet-unfermented grape juice that was in the larger container. It was SO GOOOD & DELICIOUS! How can such a beautiful venue employ such ugly hearted people? We were a fairly big group of 16, celebrating a couples birthday. From the beginning, we weren't greeting properly. Throughout our wine tasting experience, a woman with a blonde bob cut did not give us sufficient time to savor/drink our wine. She came literally every 2 minutes. So if you weren't done with your last then too bad. This is probably the worst customer service I have ever received. After 20 minutes, we're ready to get out of there but still bought 8 bottles. Time came to pay and the cashier even made a nasty comment about us while she was behind the bar; "Just throw them their change and make them fight for it"... well, one of us heard and confronted the lady with black hair and she responded "I didn't know you were there". Does it matter if we were there or not? There were plenty of other customers there. Why did she feel so comfortable to talk about us in that way when we didn't do anything wrong to her or the venue? We definitely did not give them any attitude before hand, regardless of their poor treatment towards us. Everyone else looked so happy. Everyone else wasn't Hispanic. Could that have been the sole reason why we didn't get the same treatment as everyone else? I pray to God these people find grace and kindness in their heart because they clearly had neither. read more

We are wine club members at Scribner Bend Vineyards. They recently hosted their first annual luau. It was awesome!
