This is a beautiful winery just outside of Sacramento. The service was excellent. The wines were very nice. The Montepulciano was my favorite. The chicken was adorable. Would definitely recommend and would visit again if ever near Sacramento.

Had an awesome time tonight for harvest host dinner the food was great with pairings of wine. Even though the hits of waitresses had to run a ways to keep the food fresh wheater hot or cold it was great and they was very pleasant. Setting near the vineyard had the nice setting with the Harvest Moon.

I recently had a wonderful experience at Juliana Winery. It all started when I met two strangers at an open house for the Courtyard Marriott. They were cancer survivors and mentioned meeting at a winery afterward. They invited me to join their table at the open house, and we became fast friends. They then invited me to enjoy a wine tasting at Juliana Winery, and I went along. The wine was very good, and I especially enjoyed the port wine out of all the tastings. They gave a flight of four wines. Lori, who was a member of the wine club, ensured that all the tastings were complimentary. She even bought a bottle of champagne and asked for my preference. I told her I liked sweet wines, and the port was unexpectedly sweet, sweetened with dates. I would definitely get the port again or even buy a bottle to have at home for cooking or desserts. Lisa and Larry assisted us, and they were extremely nice. I'd definitely come back and visit when the opportunity presents itself. There's lots of seating, but since October is still summer for us, I sat inside until fall actually arrives. They even have kittens inside, and a patio if you want to bring your dog. I enjoyed everything about my visit.

This winery is so nice, it has several patios and a large lawn area. A lovely place to sip a glass of their delicious wine watch the sunset. There is an outdoor covered patio with plenty of heaters to use on chilly days. You can bring your own picnic or order from their menu. We had the burrata which I highly recommend. Their sandwiches are also delicious. Their tasting room is large with plenty of seating and a fireplace. They are dog friendly, we had our golden retriever inside on a leash. Our furry friends are allowed outside on the gravel area but not on the lawn. Since it is a winery I should mention the wine selection, we enjoyed the 2022 GRENACHE and the 2022 MONTEPULCIANO. You can have tasting of four wines, a glass or order a bottle. Well worth a visit, if you like a live band check out their website and see what they have coming up. Oh also they have a cute chicken running around in the property! Cheers and enjoy

What a fantastic winery! We had a fabulous wine tasting- great from sparkling wine to port!! Tasty sandwiches and olives - made for a perfect afternoon. So comfortable to just sit and relax, eat and drink- what else is life about?! Highly recommend a stop for wine tasting and lunch or a stay through Harvest hosts! Craig was very informative and fun to talk to about the business and has created a wonderful place to visit!

To celebrate his birthday, a friend of mine invited my wife and I for wine tasting at Julietta Winery located in Clarksburg. When we arrived, we heard what sounded like a really lit (that's what the young kids are saying now) party. Upon entering the outdoor portion of the winery, we observed a live band playing some good tunes + folks on the "dance floor" joyfully grooving and singing along. When we spotted my friend and his wife, we sat at their table and awaited a server. Shortly after arriving, the server greeted us and took our orders. We both ordered white wine flights (2018 Blanc de Noir, 2021 Pino Grigio, 2020 Sauvignon Blanc, and 2017 Chardonnay) and panini sandwiches (drinking on an empty stomach is no bueno!). When our flights arrived, we immediately dove in so that we could get caught up with our friends. Our first observation was how small the wine pours were, only 1 ounce per glass (as stated on the menu). In addition, aside from the 2018 Blanc de Noir sparkling wine (which is hard to mess up), the remaining three options were lackluster (lacking flavor). Thankfully, the delicious sandwiches, outdoor party vibe, and the company of our friends made up for the unmemorable wine. If we decide to pay Julietta Winery a future visit, we will try their red wine flights.

Came here with a party of 4 for wine tasting. we had the flights. Wines were just ok. The pours were pretty cheap. And the service felt cold, insincere and impersonable. We were interested in buying a few bottles of the port, so we asked for a sample. The server bought us 1 pour/ 1 glass for a party of four... It was quite comical! I probably won't be returning to this winery. Good hospitality makes such a big difference and this place just didn't have it...

Went here on late April and the weather was amazing. Not only the wines were very good but also the food we ordered. Definitely coming back to this winery. Love the scenery. Service is also impeccable!

Shoutout to the West Sacramento/ Clarksburg area…read more... The Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg is a historic beet sugar refinery from 1934-1993 that has wine shops and tasting rooms for local wineries. They have over a dozen wineries. Wine tastings average $15 and most wineries waive the fee if you buy a bottle. They have wine shops in the main building and in the other building. Don't forget to walk back and to the right to the shops in the separate back building, there is 3-4 more wineries. Each winery are literal walled shops with their own seating areas. Temperature controlled which is nice on hot summer days. Each have their own wine tasting, food offerings, and special events. Old Sugar Mill is less than 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento. The buildings are beautiful. They kept the historic brick walls and exterior. It has a modern shabby chic look. Three different brands owned the refinery. It all began in 1934 with Amalgamated, American Crystal Sugar Factory (1936-1982), and Delta Sugar (1983-1993). The sugar was refined by local Northern Californian grown beets. The buildings was renovated in 2000 for its current use. Awesome concept and beautiful architecture design. They also host weddings and events. They have a banquet room with slideshow equipment. There is also an outdoor lawn and adjoining paved patio area that is shaded in the afternoon by the buildings that would make for a gorgeous wedding venue. On hot summer days, the Delta breeze kicks in for instant cool down. No outside food are picnics are allowed. On the weekends, they have food trucks. Plus the majority of the wineries sell food (appetizers) as well. Also no pets are allowed (excluding service animals). The restrooms are located right by the front entrance.

They have many events here, including private events and wedding. The upcoming event is Port and Chocolate for Valentine's Day. That sounds so delicious. I loved chocolate and my husband is always up to trying another port. Parking- They have a private lot and we were able to easily find a parking spot right in-front of the entrance. Bathrooms- They have many stalls in the bathroom located to the left of the entrance. Temperature- It's cool inside, a little too cool for us today. It was 63 degrees out today and warm in the sun. I bet in the sweltering heat of our summers this is the perfect place to be. The Sugar Mill is an indoor venue. They have three different building with different wineries at this time. So, there is a little walking outside. Wine Barrels- You can buy half wine barrels for your garden for sale. Seating- They have lots of little seating areas. Inside they have a whole room with seating and nice decor. The tables are draped in white table cloths and there are stacks of wine barrels as the back drop. They have a palm court in the back and it's so quaint and beautiful. Perfect for sipping some wine slowly and chit chatting with friends. If you are looking to sit in the sun there is are a set of tables and chairs out back near the food truck. Ambiance- I love the location and building. It's an old Sugar Mill that produced sugar from sugar beets. That industry has now ended and it's now a place to visit many wineries. It's the only place that I know of that have numerous wineries and offer wine tasing for a minimum fee.

We got married at Scribner Bend in May 2025 and it was a dream from start to finish!…read more Scribner Bend was the only venue we visited during our wedding planning process because we felt so pleased with the beauty, charm, pricing, and process they offered. We were especially pleased by how much was included in the venue package that we didn't have to coordinate separately, like lighting, tables, and chairs. Shaye was an absolute delight to work with and we always felt cared for. As a queer couple, it was so nice to feel welcomed and accepted by Scribner Bend and all of their preferred vendors we spoke with. May was the perfect time to be there, the white roses on the arches were in bloom which complemented the rest of our florals beautifully. Our whole day flowed so smoothly thanks to Deija, our day-of planner provided by Scribner Bend, and all of the rest of the staff. All of our guests were so complimentary of the wine, the setting, and the flow of the evening. We really could not have wished for a better venue experience. We also want to note, Paesanos was an exceptional caterer! I know some might be concerned with not having a choice of caterer but we found it to be a relief (one less vendor to coordinate) and Paesanos did a fantastic job. Rain was amazing at communication, and Diana was wonderful to work with on the day. They even packed up a couple of containers of leftovers for us to go home with. Thank you, Scribner Bend, for being an excellent venue!

And it is a source of great pride to find our local, Greater Sacramento-Delta Bogle wines when we travel outside of California or USA. In fact, we were thrilled to enjoy a bottle in Shanghai, China! But we had never been to the Bogle Family Ranch and Vineyards outside of Clarksburg, CA. We finally reserved a couple of hours to visit the winery - and can't say enough good things! We enjoyed several, terrific wines not available in our local stores - such as their delicious Sparkling Rose! But more importantly, experienced a lovely afternoon on the BEAUTIFUL Bogle Family Ranch grounds! Everything around us was green and gorgeous; with cool breezes due to the surrounding water of the Sacramento River. The picnic tables were warm and inviting. The snacks were great (we brought a picnic lunch). And EVERY employee with which we spoke was excited to educate and inspire us - taking great pride in Bogle Family's six generations of Delta farming; sincere commitment to sustainability and the community; and vision of how the family plans to continue the winery's growth and international expansion, while maintaining its commitment to winemaking excellence. Every staff member that we met had been Bogle employees for over 10 years at least (a couple over 30!). I think it really says a lot about a company and family when their employees promote and compliment - even when the bosses are not in the room! While we had originally planned just a one-time visit to the Bogle vineyards, we left as Bogle Family Wine Club Members. And look forward to attending many Bogle events (including live music and movie nights), in the upcoming year. Well done and thanks for a great day, Bogle Family!

The wine and property are lovely -- unfortunately the welcome at the door felt like an audition for "Most Judgmental Winery Greeter." When we walked in, the woman at the front greeted us with a slow head-to-toe scan before even saying hello. For context, we weren't exactly stumbling in from a river float -- Patagonia, designer black jeans, nice casual wine-country attire. My partner was dressed similarly. Completely normal for a winery visit. Since it was my first time there, I asked where we should go. She informed us -- while continuing the visual inspection -- that upstairs was reserved for more formally dressed guests with reservations. The upstairs area, by the way, was completely empty. She then told us we could "go help ourselves around the corner." The tone was less "welcome to wine country" and more "you appear to be beneath the staircase." Honestly, I've been to plenty of wineries, from casual tasting rooms to higher-end spots, and I've never been greeted with that level of instant judgment. It was oddly hostile for a place that literally sells a beverage meant for relaxing. The ironic part is that after getting past that moment, the rest of the experience was actually nice. The wine was good, the grounds are pretty, and the other staff we interacted with were perfectly pleasant. But that initial interaction? Brutal. If first impressions matter (and they do in hospitality), someone might want to let the front door know that sizing people up like a nightclub bouncer at 1am isn't exactly the warm, welcoming winery vibe most people are hoping for. Great wine. Beautiful place. One spectacularly toxic greeting.
