A Groupon deal brought us here, but the great conversation with Joseph kept us going. We came in with a flight for 2 and tried a chenin blanc, brut rose (sparkling), syrah, trincadeira, vinho branco doce. I'd give you my thoughts but it's a tasting and we all have our preferences, so just try them all and see what you think! We then had a glass of the 2017 Acampo Tempranillo and the Winters "hazy" Tempranillo rose. If you like something dry and bold during a cold winter day, then the Tempranillo is a good choice. If you're new to wine though, I'd avoid it and try the rose instead. You'll find indoor and outdoor seating here. The indoor space is very cozy with comfortable and clean velvet couches. It's a great atmosphere/vibe. The outdoor area has high stools and countertops as well as lower, regular tables for 4. There are some areas that can host a group of 10 people well.

Been living in Davis for years and just discovered this place! Can't beat a $20 tasting for 5 different wines. Plus the wine was good! My housemate and I loved the hazy rose and ended up buying a bottle afterwards. The owner was really nice and the atmosphere was perfect. They had light music, a beautiful outdoor patio, and an indoor lounge-type of space. This is perfect regardless of the weather and it surprisingly wasn't too crowded. I wouldn't have noticed this location unless I had seen their sign downtown on the corner of 4th and G streets. Definitely recommend stopping by!

Wowzers!! I've always loved little wine bar. Haven't been since last summer and to my pleasant surprise it has been "remodeled". The interior has a new and expanded seating area with sectioned spaces. Nice brown cozy leather seating, natural woods. It's beautiful inside. There's also plenty of seated outdoor space. I haven't even mentioned how wonderful the wine selection is!! Definitely coming here after work or after a visit to Ace for a glass of wine more often!! And the homemade Sangria is amazing too!!

This has been my best find in Davis so far!! Cork It Again is an intimate yet casual tasting room that offers a variety of local wines. My friend and I only saw this on the way to Delilah's-- it's so tucked away and hidden that I'm astounded we even saw it at all. Walking in, we were the only occupants in this tiny, tiny space, aside from the co-owner, Jake. With only four barstools available, Cork It Again encourages conversation between you, the bartender, and any others who happen to come by. He welcomes you to try a few wines, free of charge-- a full tasting of the entire list is only $7 for 8 generous pours. Not to mention that the place makes 2 sangrias fresh, weekly. Jake is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciated that he was so patient talking us through each wine, even explaining basic terminology to a wine noob like me :-) I felt comfortable asking questions like what "full-bodied" or "astringent" meant, when I'd previously felt embarrassed to ask at other establishments. Props to him for being such a gracious host and making this experience as wonderful as it was.

This place is an absolute treasure. Joseph has created a warm and welcoming environment that's perfect after a hard day's work. He takes so much care in finding and sourcing unique wines that manage to impress even the most refined wine palates. Currently, he has added some beautiful Portuguese varietals to his wine list. Also, he has added more seating space by creating this lovely little lounge area. The new furniture is lovely and the vibe is cozy and rustic. Thank you, Joseph, for all the heart and soul you put into your craft! It is not lost on your customers.

It's a logistical masterpiece: a brewery and winery on one property, ample parking, a food truck, covered seating, and live music to drown out the chorus of "Are we leaving yet?" I opted for their wine tasting, which I can only describe as a "DIY Guessing Game." A cashier, doubling as a silent sommelier, poured a series of mystery liquids into my glass with the solemnity of a secret agent passing a coded message. What were the notes? The varietal? The tragic backstory of the grapes? The world may never know, as tasting notes were apparently classified information. The tasting is free if you buy a bottle, which is a brilliant strategy. By the end, you're so desperate for a label with information on it, you'll happily pay. It's the perfect spot to bring the family, enjoy the scene, and have a glass of... well, something red. Just don't ask what it is. It ruins the surprise.

Additionally, this place is perfect for both large groups because there is plenty of seating outside. I got their wine tasting, which I highly recommend! Not only were the pours were of good size, the wine tasting fee is waived if you purchase a bottle. The difference between purchasing a bottle and the wine flight is less than ten dollars, so it is definitely worth it! Tips for visiting: There is plenty of parking, so don't concerned about that. The food options are pretty limited because they have one food truck, which I believe alternates. We got gyros, which were okay. If you have little ones, I might bring something else for them because the options are limited for them.

I recently enjoyed my first (and definitely not my last) dining experience at the HIVE tasting room and kitchen in Woodland, CA. I enjoyed it; the food was delicious and customer service on point. I went there with the intent of mead wine tasting but ended up not since I had driving duties. [Fun fact: mead wine has less alcohol content than grape wine.] Instead I ordered lunch and washed it down with their honey ice tea. The iced tea had a prominent honey taste. Hubs luved his, but my tastebuds were confused. Odd though because I luv honey and iced tea. We also ordered a Ruben sandwich $22 and an order of waffles. The sandwich was classic with the familiar flavors. Nice quality cut of meat, thinly shaved. The waffles $17 were topped with blueberries, slivered almonds, and orange blossom whipped ricotta cream which I asked for on the side. The ricotta cream was divine. The waffles tasted pretty darn good. However the pricing for both entrees seemed high for the serving size. But this is a type of place where folks can eat and linger to enjoy the grounds, atmosphere, and each other's company without anyone rushing you out. We enjoyed our meal out in the back outdoor patio. The landscaping is all organic with lots of pollinating and drought resistant plants and trees. There is a honey tasting and mead wine tasting counter, gift shop, and dining area. All of this is in an open floor plan. The indoor seating capacity is limited. We also shared a mead tasting flight, it was fun to try something new, but I learned mead just isn't for me. We finished with a quick honey tasting, which was such a treat. They have so many varieties, we could have stood there forever sampling them all. A very fun and unique experience overall. Service was friendly and relaxed, and the whole place has a great, easygoing vibe.
