Came here during their strawberry days and it was so fun! They had plenty of strawberry flavored items including pastries, jam, popcorn, and more! They had lots of produce and preserved veggies in jars! They also had a sample area where you could try various apples, pickled veggies, fudge and apple cider! We decided to have sweets before lunch and ordered their strawberry ice cream sandwich and strawberry pie! The strawberry ice cream and donut combo was delicious!! We would order it again in a heartbeat! The strawberry pie tasted like it was just strawberry jam as the filling and we didn't really like it much. First time visiting here was for the Watermelon days event. Indeed felt like a scam. I was disappointed that they barely had any watermelons for sale, and I was told they were imported for Mexico since it's not in season in California. The selection for watermelon flavored things were small too. I only ordered the watermelon ice cream, which tasted good. It was an artificial creamy watermelon flavor. The lady who took my order wasn't very nice though.. It was nice getting to try the free samples of apples, and other things. The watermelon sample wasn't sweet at all, so I ended up not buying a watermelon from here. There were a few vendors that had some cool things but I didn't end up buying anything. Special baking sales and events are just a scam where they overcharge for a new product, e.g. 'watermelon donuts' but there's nothing new or accurate about it- just nasty colorants and crap to make it look special. It isn't. Other than that, produce is ok, they have some good jams and sauces. But boy, some of these kids they have working there are not very adept at costumer device. read more

We stopped here for the first time on our way to Tahoe. It was definitely worth it! The BBQ was so delicious. I got the black bean burger and the rest of my family got the brisket sandwich. Both were so delicious. The sweet bourbon sauce was also a really tasty addition. They had a booth where you can try samples of a variety of apples and fruits, as well as their fresh apple cider. Hmmm . . . Boa Vista Orchards is definitely enticing me purchasing pies--lol. In fact, I'm debating with myself: "I know very well I don't have any Boa Vista Orchard's fruit pies remaining inside my Samsung freezer--ALL PIES WERE GRATIFYINGLY INHALED." Furthermore and despite, my frenzied, grocery shopping spree last week, i.e., Costco and Fork Lift Grocery Spending Extravaganza, I failed purchasing frozen pies for my freezer's 2026 inventory resupply. Alrighty then . . . Absolutely adore coming to Boa Vista every year with my friends. It is one of my favorite annual traditions. This spot on the map of Apple Hill is always a must for cider (specifically their pumpkin spice cider), cider flights, apple donuts, and all things related to apples! I always get goodies here to take back to my family and it is such a cute spot to take pictures and shop at the local booths. I love that they have a tasting booth for various items they sell so you can try before you buy! They have seating outside in front and in the back, covered and overlooking the grass. This spot gets pretty busy but it's definitely a must if you wanna take home treats like apple butter, flavored ciders, fudges, popcorn, etc.. Another of our favorite stops in Apple Hill! We usually buy their Apple donuts-glazed/sugar, cinnamon. Also, their pies are delicious too! On this trip, we bought donuts, caramel apples, pie slices and fresh fruit/veggies. They have bargain boxes of fruit~veggies. This was my first time buying this. I saw people grabbing boxes. They were priced @$3.99, they had Asian pears, tomatoes, onions, etc. we bought a box of tomatoes and they were fantastic! You can't beat homegrown tomatoes! There were enough for lots of Caprese salads, BLT's, and tomato Sammies. The line to pay may be long, but the cashiers here are friendly expedient. We browsed the cute, spacious store with lots of products, nice views, savory & sweet eats, & (mostly outdoor) seating. A train ride attraction was across the street, but not running at the time. There was a simple apple cutout & a massive chair for photo opps. Items you can shop for include-- Produce, meat, frozen pies, specialty condiments, preserves/jams/jellies, pickled foods & olives, honey, nuts, popcorn, dips, marinades, soup mixes, fruits curds & butters, taffy, beverages & wine, kitchen gadgets, & MORE! There is a little shack that generously offers lots of samples of their various produce & products. The gal running it was so friendly & informative. We ended up purchasing Sweet Dream Peaches, a cantaloupe, & dark chocolate fudge after tasting! From their barbecue options, we got the brisket sandwich, which was tender & tasty. There were a few different barbecue sauces to put on it. From their baked goods, we picked an apple sugar donut, vanilla apple donuts, a peach dumpling, and the apple strudel. All were enjoyable treats. I appreciated that the fruit in the dumpling & strudel still had a nice texture & they weren't overly sweet. We weren't approached or engaged with by workers who passed by. Great orchard with lots of goodies to taste and drink. We had a big group so we split up and tackled different lines. One group went for ciders and wine flights. The other went to grab donuts - Apple cider donuts, glazed, vanilla, Carmel and sugar ones. We ordered a dozen and shared. It was great. There are many vendors on the grounds plus a variety of apples and fruits. Oh and don't forget, apple cider. They give out samples for tasting. Came for the apples, stayed for the baked goods. Friend brought me up while I was visiting Sacramento. Place was absolutely packed on an October weekend. Luckily we found parking pretty easily and started roaming around. Got a couple of ciders: apple pumpkin and peach. The apple pumpkin was heaven. There was a nice sugar rim around the cup to give it that extra sweetness. Peach was light and floral. Stopped by the bakery and got some baked sweets and ice cream. The apple fritter was by far my favorite and one of the best fritters I've had. I was taking pieces of the fritter, dipping it in caramel sauce, and then topping with ice cream. Heaven!! Yesterday was my first time visiting Boa Vista and I will most definitely be returning. Love that they have samples of the apples, fudge and cider. I tried the candy crisp apple and it was sweet and tasty. The apple pie fudge tastes like you are actually eating a slice of apple pie. Perfect pit stop 1 hour from South Lake Tahoe! We had so much fun walking around and looking at all the local goods and treats! I was surprised how busy it was in late July, but I guess it must be even crazier in the fall. We got the apple sugar donut and apple fritter and both were delicious! My friend also got the peach lemonade but it was a bit too sweet for our taste - kind of wish it had more of a sour kick. I also bought a jar of spiced apple jam to bring home and it's a 10/10! They have other vendors outside as well, along with a tasting station where you can try different fruit, fudge, and pickles! A staple of Apple Hill!! Been going here since I was a kid and this is a MUST stop when you go up to the farms in the fall! Whats great about Boa Vista is that they are open year round too with seasonal flavored doughnuts and treats. The peach apple hard cider is my new favorite but nothing beats the classic. The doughnuts here too are delicious. Perfectly crispy with chunks of apple throughout. I love that they added new toppings for them like Carmel and chocolate. Tastes just like a covered apple. They aren't horribly priced at $2 a doughnut, but I mean your paying for the quality. The pies are actually not bad $20 for a 10inch Dutch apple and it's STUFFED. That is one hefty pie. I had to drive up the mountain to enjoy one of these delicious boa vista, cherry donuts from Boa Vista Orchards / Cherry Days Event. The all things cherry cherry event ends this weekend, so I thought I'd try to beat the crowds and let me tell you the cherry donuts are absolutely scrumptious. They're not super Duper sugary, sweet as they use cherries harvested from their own orchard to make the donuts as well as everything else cherry they available in the Store. I also brought my refillable large growler, which incidentally has doubled in price. Since the last time I came up the mountain. Nevertheless, I sampled the cherry sangria as well as the cherry hard cider, both of which are refreshingly delicious. I was able to come up on a dill pickle hot sauce and a hot harbanero bacon jam among a few things. It's amazing how Boa Vista has a wide, diverse selection to choose from that is straight from their farm. I had a blueberry donut that was amazing! There is alternate exit from I50 west which we can use to avoid the major traffic. Since it is Halloween month, it has pumpkin patch which is nice. The queue for food and pie are very long. Luv this orchard in Placerville. It's open 363 days a year, closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. They have a bakery, bbq food, hard cider tasting bar, fresh produce, apple cider, frozen pies, frozen vacuumed packed meat and poultry, and local honey, jams, olives, hot sauces, dressings, breads, artisan candy, jerky, and nuts. We've been to apple hill plenty of times during the fall and enjoying the vendors, fruits, and everything else there is to do. However, we've never been for the strawberry days in the spring, so we decided to go this past Thursday morning. If you don't know much about this location it is an outdoor market stocked with a ton of fresh foods and goodies sourced from the local farms. In addition to all of the usual apple, fruit goodies, and other foods straight from the farms they were highlighting some strawberry foods for their strawberry days. They had plenty to choose from but there were items like strawberry fudge, pie, ice cream, donuts, pastries, and jams just to name a few and of course they had delicious fresh strawberries as well. We placed our order at the counter and the service is always great here. We decided to try the strawberry ice cream, glazed donut, and dumpling. They each were so good. The ice cream was light and creamy, the donut was perfectly sweet with a crispy glaze and a soft inside, and the dumpling had a crispy light pastry and was super filled with a strawberry jammy sauce. We also got one of their take home frozen strawberry pies to enjoy and it didn't disappoint. The pastry again was light, crispy, and flakey. While the inside was perfectly strawberry jammy. His place is pretty cool. Seemed like a decent amount of parking when you get there although we did get there 60 min before closing. They had a really cool large chair with a neon light behind it for photos. They also have a bbq side spot where you can order food. The market has everything from produce to cider. I recommend you come here during the week. One time we came on a Friday around 3 PM and it was awesome and not many people. The weekends are very, very crowded. So make sure you come early. Other than that take your time would be nice to find parking and get what you want. It is a great family event and family place. read more
