    Strawberry donuts!!
    Judy N.

Came back again for the strawberry days! Such a good treat and definitely worth the drive annually. Lines were long but definitely worth it.

We stopped here for the first time on our way to Tahoe. It was definitely worth it! The BBQ was so delicious. I got the black bean burger and the rest of my family got the brisket sandwich. Both were so delicious. The sweet bourbon sauce was also a really tasty addition. They had a booth where you can try samples of a variety of apples and fruits, as well as their fresh apple cider. The cider was so good that we couldn't help leave with a gallon of it. Lastly, all of the workers were very kind.

Visited on Veterans Day (very busy, but luckily got a close parking spot. Be prepared for very long lines on holidays or weekends, especially in the fall. -a MUST try are the pastries! Highly recommend trying at least one kind of fruit dumpling. The apple cider donuts are amazing and can't be missed! -share a flight of their alcoholic fruit ciders and you won't be disappointed -10/10 Tri Tip sandwiches with their house made bbq sauce - tender with great flavor and the sauces are unique with apple essence -they have apple tasting stations and a huge store with apple flavored everything. A great place to go with family for a fun weekend day to try delicious foods and see the colorful changing leaves during fall.

12/30/2025: Today, I received via snail-mail a Placerville Marketplace Magazine . . . Inside the first page I noticed were Boa Vista Orchard's two coupons advertising eight-inch fruit pies on sale for $9.99 and a $5.00 coupon for purchasing Boa Vista's products spending over $30.00. Hmmm . . . Boa Vista Orchards is definitely enticing me purchasing pies--lol. In fact, I'm debating with myself: "I know very well I don't have any Boa Vista Orchard's fruit pies remaining inside my Samsung freezer--ALL PIES WERE GRATIFYINGLY INHALED." Furthermore and despite, my frenzied, grocery shopping spree last week, i.e., Costco and Fork Lift Grocery Spending Extravaganza, I failed purchasing frozen pies for my freezer's 2026 inventory resupply. Alrighty then . . . I hurriedly crammed Boa Vista Orchard's two coupons inside my backpack after retrieving my snail-mail, hopped into my truck, and happily excited knowing I'll be completing ALL my "2025 Honey-Do List" myriad of errands before my VA Hospital eye surgery happening tomorrow, 12/31/2025, i.e., the inability seeing ANYTHING the next five to ten days~oooooof. Continued Reasoning With Myself: "Therefore, 12/30/2025 will be THE last time I'll be shopping at Boa Vista Orchards for the year, 2025. Okay~So--I'll be welcoming HNY 2026 by tomorrow, 12/31/2025 by shopping at Boa Vista Orchards today, 12/30/2025--right now then, I'll be happily inhaling Boa Vista Orchard's pies on 1/1/2026 . . . AWESOME!!!!!" BTW--I must responsibly correct my visual blunder: I was under the ASSUMPTION reading with my haphazard, blurry vision squinting--all eight-inch pies are $9.99 each . . . HOWEVER, upon reviewing my Boa Vista Orchard's two purchase receipts after returning to my humble abode, I was shocked noticing all eight-inch fruit pies weren't on sale for $9.99 (WTH!!!!!) which immediately prompted me calling the Boa Vista Manager for the fruit pie purchases I needed price clarifications! Seriously, I truly thought I was egregiously overcharged for all eight-inch fruit pies which were on sale for $9.99! Anyway, the Boa Vista Manager explained ONLY the eight-inch apple pies are $9.99 each but, NOT the other pies such as the blackberry and cherry pies~WAAAAAAH!!!! "But, but, gee-whiz, Boa Vista Manager~the coupon stated " . . . eight-inch fruit pies on sale for $9.99" so, I thought I read the coupons correctly!!!! Will you please kindly retrieve the coupons I submitted at the register?" My inquiring mind needs knowing, "Gee, Boa Vista Manager--Why are the eight-inch apple pies ONLY $9.99 each and not the other pies, too, eh?" WELP . . . The Boa Vista Manager stated Boa Vista Orchards experienced a bountiful, apple harvest; therefore creating more apple pies this year than previous years. Thus, the apple pies are on sale for $9.99, i.e., so--please kindly review my purchase receipts . . . The reason for my long-winded explanation what happened after shopping at Boa Vista Orchards and finally, writing my Boa Vista Orchard's Yelp Review. HNY 2026, YELPING Peeps!

Lots of parking, great Staff/service, and the selection of goods are endless. Restrooms are also very clean. The donuts I feel like are a bit overhyped, unless you really like the drier takes to donuts. The fresh apple cider is AMAZING.

Drove here from Monterey and on a mission to get donuts so definitely wasn't leaving Apple Hill without them. Went to two other places and only this was open/selling freshly baked goods and bustling with people. Service was great; friendly and helpful people behind the donut counter. I always appreciate a warm smile. This place was busy, busy, busy in a town where most places are closed around this time.

Absolutely adore coming to Boa Vista every year with my friends. It is one of my favorite annual traditions. This spot on the map of Apple Hill is always a must for cider (specifically their pumpkin spice cider), cider flights, apple donuts, and all things related to apples! I always get goodies here to take back to my family and it is such a cute spot to take pictures and shop at the local booths. I love that they have a tasting booth for various items they sell so you can try before you buy! They have seating outside in front and in the back, covered and overlooking the grass. This spot gets pretty busy but it's definitely a must if you wanna take home treats like apple butter, flavored ciders, fudges, popcorn, etc.. The staff have also been helpful the times that I've been here and have been able to answer questions I have.

Another of our favorite stops in Apple Hill! We usually buy their Apple donuts-glazed/sugar, cinnamon. Also, their pies are delicious too! On this trip, we bought donuts, caramel apples, pie slices and fresh fruit/veggies. They have bargain boxes of fruit~veggies. This was my first time buying this. I saw people grabbing boxes. They were priced @$3.99, they had Asian pears, tomatoes, onions, etc. we bought a box of tomatoes and they were fantastic! You can't beat homegrown tomatoes! There were enough for lots of Caprese salads, BLT's, and tomato Sammies. The line to pay may be long, but the cashiers here are friendly expedient. They also sell delicious barbecue meals, so come hungry!

Shoutout to Yelper, Courtney O, whose photos of pastries & recommendations made us decide to head over for a fun little summer outing for ourselves. We had a pleasant time. We browsed the cute, spacious store with lots of products, nice views, savory & sweet eats, & (mostly outdoor) seating. A train ride attraction was across the street, but not running at the time. There was a simple apple cutout & a massive chair for photo opps. Items you can shop for include-- Produce, meat, frozen pies, specialty condiments, preserves/jams/jellies, pickled foods & olives, honey, nuts, popcorn, dips, marinades, soup mixes, fruits curds & butters, taffy, beverages & wine, kitchen gadgets, & MORE! There is a little shack that generously offers lots of samples of their various produce & products. The gal running it was so friendly & informative. We ended up purchasing Sweet Dream Peaches, a cantaloupe, & dark chocolate fudge after tasting! From their barbecue options, we got the brisket sandwich, which was tender & tasty. There were a few different barbecue sauces to put on it. From their baked goods, we picked an apple sugar donut, vanilla apple donuts, a peach dumpling, and the apple strudel. All were enjoyable treats. I appreciated that the fruit in the dumpling & strudel still had a nice texture & they weren't overly sweet. We weren't approached or engaged with by workers who passed by. Service was satisfactory when we made our purchases. TIP--Pay in cash. I didn't know it would be less to pay in cash versus card until I handed it over & was given a new lower total. I'm not sure if this information is posted.

The only shop on Apple Hill that opens early! 7:30 am, and the place was opened and already had customers shopping! I respect a business who accommodate early risers. I noticed and many Apple hill stores open at 9 am and keep customers waiting... Boa Vista was clean and shelves were tidy. I love the changes made throughout the years and the additional sitting areas! The openness of the store makes it comfortable to shop and having vendors show their wares is always fun!

Great orchard with lots of goodies to taste and drink. We had a big group so we split up and tackled different lines. One group went for ciders and wine flights. The other went to grab donuts - Apple cider donuts, glazed, vanilla, Carmel and sugar ones. We ordered a dozen and shared. It was great. There are many vendors on the grounds plus a variety of apples and fruits. Oh and don't forget, apple cider. They give out samples for tasting. The staff is so nice and friendly, you can tell they are happy to share their goodies.

I love it here! Wish I ate the bbq went more up the hill and had cold tri tip Boa Vista employees are the sweetest happiest souls! I love that you can taste test the pears and apples etc. Olympic yum! So much more yum. If you go favorite your photos you'd like on magnets. They have a stand that will make magnets within minutes for you. Lots of room lots of parking! Wear cooler clothes it was warm but take stuff to warm up because it's easier to warm up then it is to cool down Great prices and fresh veggies so much to choose from This is the place I'd choose to eat my bbq from next time Only one sad complaint and I'm sure it was a fluke the bag of popcorn that we bought we had to throw away it was stale

Apple Fritter, Pumpkin Ice Cream, Caramel Sauce
    Lawrence P.

Came for the apples, stayed for the baked goods. Friend brought me up while I was visiting Sacramento. Place was absolutely packed on an October weekend. Luckily we found parking pretty easily and started roaming around. Got a couple of ciders: apple pumpkin and peach. The apple pumpkin was heaven. There was a nice sugar rim around the cup to give it that extra sweetness. Peach was light and floral. Stopped by the bakery and got some baked sweets and ice cream. The apple fritter was by far my favorite and one of the best fritters I've had. I was taking pieces of the fritter, dipping it in caramel sauce, and then topping with ice cream. Heaven!! I would absolutely come back just for the baked goods. The overall vibe was really nice. Despite the crowds, there were plenty of benches to sit on and the market had tons of fresh produce. Make sure you're prepared to wait in line if you're going to buy anything. They move fast but you'll be there for a hot minute.

Only waited about 5 minutes until we ordered! Not sure why it's called a "walking apple pie" since you could really walk with any pie, sliced or whole. The crust on this was ever so slightly flaky while still having a good amount of doughiness that made it soft and enjoyable to eat. It wasn't too thick either which is what I assumed it would be! There is also an insane amount of apple inside, sliced on the thinner side but not overcooked at all. NOT skimpy, good cinnamon flavor and VERY delicious! I'm not even a fan of apple pie, so I was shocked I actually liked it! The vanilla ice cream on top definitely made the entire thing even more enjoyable--if I were to get this again I'd make sure to get an extra scoop. The contrast between the piping hot apple pie and the cold ice cream was so addicting and sweet in the best way. We also got the pumpkin cheesecake. I'd pass on this. Didn't have much of a pumpkin flavor and I felt like the cheesecake was lacking overall. The graham cracker crust is buttery and soft which I appreciated, and they top the cheesecake with what tasted like a sugar crumble on top which I also liked. Overall the cheesecake was creamy and smooth but nothing special. I wouldn't get this again, simply for the fact that if you're labeling something as "pumpkin cheesecake" and the first word is pumpkin, I want to be punched in the face with pumpkin flavor, however my friend did enjoy it because he loves cheesecake. Service was great, the views were phenomenal. They also have real bathrooms here. Definitely stop by!

I've started a tradition of picking up one glass pumpkin each year, but this time I left with two--thanks to my husband's suggestion. The selection of pumpkins was beautiful, as always. We didn't see the popcorn or the glassblowing demos, though in fairness we may have been too early. Instead, we tried the Pineapple Ginger Hard Cider, which was delicious. Since we didn't want a full pour, we asked about a smaller size. The server showed us a half-glass, which was perfect, but we later realized we'd been charged for a full drink anyway. By the time we left around 10:30, cars were lined up down the road waiting to get into the lot. Parking definitely seemed limited for such a popular event. Judging from the lines outside other Apple Hill venues as well, my advice is to avoid weekends if you can--or at least plan to arrive early.
