This is a fantastic organic farm. It has everything. Love that it serves local restaurants and the locals!

After tasting at Starfield Winery across the road, it was a must to revisit this sweet farm stand. The property is lovely and includes a frog pond. One can select & cut 10 stems of their beautiful garden flowers for $7. We love the colorful zinnias. Their rosemary bread is delicious so I definitely purchased a loaf. I also selected some perfectly ripe tomatoes. The staff are helpful and friendly. read more

We are sad that we don't live near 24Carrot Farm. It's an awesome farm stand with great product and even some pantry staples. We love stopping by every time we are in the area. Yes it is a little pricier than your grocery store but so worth it. They also have UPick opportunities throughout the summer and fall which is fun too. Makes for an enjoyable activity. 24 Carrot is one of our favorite places to stop in the Apple Hill area. We always manage to find something new there.

What a sweet find! Life rewards you when you take the roads less traveled. We've been to AH so many times, and yet we always seem to stay on the main roads. This year I started noticing some smaller signs calling attention to farms just off this main artery, and that's where I initially saw 24Carrot. The orchard we intended to visit was closed, so we circled back to this sign and took a detour. Our gain, because 24Carrot is the sweetest, cutest, and friendliest farm stand I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. We perused their stand and picked up some leeks, greens, kale, and of course, a few apples and... CARROTS. They also had products from several nearby farms and orchards too, and when life puts fresh goat cheese in front of you, you buy it immediately and don't ask any questions. Staff was super friendly. We found a picnic table under a tree to enjoy our lunch. They let us explore the farm a bit and shared plans for the future, and they had some sweet merch too! Put this one on your list! read more

Small outdoor mini market. U-Pick flowers and tomatoes this past weekend. Not much selection. It wasn't what we were looking for, but it's still a decent business. Response to owner: We were looking for apple or pumpkin picking, not flower or tomato picking. My husband hates bees and my kids have allergies, so we couldn't do the flowers. My family happens to not like tomatoes. Again, it is my fault for not researching enough. For some reason, I thought you had apple picking. read more

Best farm stand around! Not a tourist trap, it's a real farm providing fresh seasonal locally grown food and we're grateful we have access to it. Ben has the greenest of green thumbs- successfully growing and offering delicious produce in this area that gets snow in winter and has 100° days in summer! Came for the u pick flowers ... let say YOU all picked them before we came lol. They all at 7 stems for like 7 dollars. They had strawberries but YOU guessed it. YoU all picked those too lol. We only found about 3 decent ones.. we got a pumpkin however many we already detached from vine or just placed on hay nothing really DIY... so if was hit and pretty much a bust... cool outing and great laughs. This place is a gem! Definitely stop here if you are looking for a quaint spot that offers a memorable experience and amazing produce! I had my first visit yesterday and can't wait to come back! The u-pick options are so neat! I chose to pick my own bouquet of flowers and cherry tomatoes. The flowers were beautiful. I could tell that it's the turning of the season, so the variety wasn't incredible, but what as left was stunning. Hearty zinnias, vibrant globe amaranth and bursting marigold! Gorgeous. The cherry tomatoes were out of this world. I picked 2 pints of sungold cherry tomatoes and they are already gone. I also picked up one of their homemade applesauces for the season - the Pumpkin Applesauce. I can't wait to try it! Picked up a pint of black mission figs as well - perfectly ripe, nice and velvety on the outside, and jammy on the inside. Try the cold brew as well. It has a deep dark chocolate flavor. The gal helping my boyfriend and I was very sweet and helpful. Not only is this place great as a spot to pick up special produce and the like, it's also a spot that is sure to fancy your childlike wonders. It is a very lovely little farm. I just adore everything about this place! Allison, Ben and the rest of these awesome humans are the best! Friendly, funny, helpful and kind. They offer organic fruit, veggies, breads, and so many other goodies. At times there is also the opportunity for you-pick, plant starts, and even yoga! 24Carrot was the most memorable stop on my drive through Apple Hill! The setting is small and tranquil compared to some of the larger, more family-fun-focused sites nearby. There's a lovely pond onsite and, of course, rows and rows of flowers and produce! What I loved most about this farm was their commitment to organic produce and partnerships with other local purveyors - whose products included honey, soap, floral arrangements, and Totem Coffee. I took home a handful of Granny Smith apples and cherry tomatoes and was happy with my delicious, organic purchase! read more

Great farm, I am on the floor laughing at all the snobs who had a bad experience here. The produce and extras they offer are excellent. I've never had a problem with rude staff, and they don't greet you and ask if you need help because everything is in plain sight! HORRIBLE customer service. Approached an employee to ask where I could park for the U-Pick farm. Employee was very rude and refused to answer my question because she was busy. Pointing to a particular area or answering my simple question would have sufficed. When I pleaded with her to answer my question she instead shut a door in my face. read more

24Carrot Farm is the most open farm we visited on our September trek through the hill. Instantly upon arrival, we felt a sense of peace, the energy at this farm is calm compared to most of the others - it appears like a place one could easily spend an entire day strolling about. The small stand at the entrance had organic vegetables. The staff was fairly aloof to us being there, yet pleasant when we did interact with them. For having some fresh veggies and the general beauty of this place, am I fan. Would love to come back here on a Saturday for free yoga and a picnic! read more

I'm not prone to writing a lot of reviews about produce. Honestly, before my visit to 24 Carrot Farm produce was a function, not feature of my life. Let me qualify that by saying I live by and frequent one the best farmers markets in California. One visit to 24 Carrot changed my life. Specifically in relation to spring mix. Spring Mix and I were sort of "double date friends" we frequented the same places with the same types of people but not endorsable. Well scratch that, Shipmate. Enter 24 Carrot Farms World Famous (should be, if not shame on us, Global Citizens) spring mix. The stuff is amazing. Note worthy (read my other reviews I wouldn't be noting it if it wasn't) for not only its taste but texture. We picked up some other stuff at their cute AF farmstand as well, some grown there, some sourced through other local farms ( goat cheese dooooo it!) I'm not a huge fan of driving, but very week without their produce makes my meals less intriguing and me a little less interesting. Hot tip. If you have the good fortune of living in or passing through Placerville, this joint should be #1 on your things to do list. If you're coming back to the bay DM me, I'll 100% pay half your gas for two bags of spring mix. read more

They even have an online store to stay extra safe during the pandemic. The workers are kind, helpful, thoughtful, and considerate. Definitely worth some time on a trip to Apple Hill. One of the newer farm stands in the Apple Hill area. Ben and Kevin have taken over the farming operation at the former Willow Pond Organic Farm producing organic greens, heirloom tomatoes, squash, melons, and apples, of course. These two energetic and super friendly guys will greet you at the stand and happy to share their enthusiasm about their venture. It's great to see this stand open again. Fabulous local raw honey available and displayed in front of an active hive. Watch the bees at work and find the queen (the bee with the white spot). Currently offering local roast Totem coffee out of Placerville. Walk the farming area and see what they do. Stroll the apple orchard or have a picnic at the tables by the pond. Take the Point View Dr exit when heading up the hill and stay on Jacquier ('jakeway') just passed the El Dorado Trail parking area on the right. When done, head straight up Jacquier to Carson Rd to more of Apple Hill. I love what these two guys are doing! read more

This farm + its produce stand are so lovely, but I would not make a special trip to go here especially if you're looking for something specific. If you're in town, definitely stop by, but do not rely on the website for email communications for what 'U-pick' items are available. I emailed to ask if they would have U-pick pumpkins available the weekend of October 1st. I received an enthusiastic yes in response. I also looked at their website under the 'U-pick' tab and saw pumpkins listed starting 10/1. I arrived on 10/2 and was very surprised to find that they did not grow ANY 'U-pick' pumpkins this year. The woman at the stand specified that they would only have a 'pumpkin patch', but even that was not available yet. I'm not sure why they would advertise pumpkins in the U-pick portion of their website. Luckily there are many farms nearby with U-pick pumpkins available, so not all was lost, but this poor communication was disappointing especially when we drove such a long way specifically to visit this farm. read more

This is one of my favorite farms in the area, Ive never been disappointed when I got my produce home it's just like fruits and vegetables from my own garden. They have a great selection and I believe everything is organic, they supply fruits and veggies to the local restaurants and to the local co-op. The girl working the stand was super helpful and friendly. They have a pumpkin patch and u-pick pumpkin around Halloween with tractor rides. If you are in the area when visiting applehill don't miss this Lil' gem, they won't disappoint. read more

I can't begin to explain the community feel that we get every single time we visit 24 carrot farm. Our families go every week, our dogs, and our meals depend on them each week. The last few weeks have been rough on us, as they have been for our entire community. Whether you were displaced, your loved ones, houses of those that were displaced or know those that have lost their houses and livelihoods. This has been a challenging and a highly stressful time. When in such stressful times; the most comforting thing is those that support, rally behind you, and encourage in the smallest and best ways. After being displaced for almost 20 days, my entire side of the family included, were so excited to have a sense of normalcy to return to our farm. Allison and Ben were more than humble and understanding . Their fellow taco stand offered us FREE tacos just so that we would have some food once we returned home. AND we also got a beautiful flower boutique to brighten up our home that had been neglected for so long. We love and appreciate our community! Thank you so much for welcoming us home! Whether you're a local looking to improve your diet or a visitor here for the "Fall Farm Experience", this is THE PLACE to be. I've seen them pull carrots fresh from the ground and bring them straight to the stand. All fresh, all organic, delicious variety. My daughter loves coming here to pick tomatoes and flowers, or just enjoying the outdoors hunting for lizards and looking at frogs in the pond. The workers are all so down-to-earth too. You can tell they put care into their produce and community, never stopped providing for the public despite how challenging 2020 has been. The guy that owns 24 is very chill and the register gal is a total babe. Great farm, great people!! (Just remember this IS a real farm. Cute farm and farm stand with organic produce. The broccolini was $3 per bunch and was fresh. Everything else was more pricey than in the grocery store. We tried apple picking but had a hard time finding good apples on the second weekend after opening season. Since it is organic the apples had blemishes and cracked. Some of the trees were small and only had tiny apples. The better apples are were too high up. Make sure your children wear long pants- there are blackberry bushes everywhere on the ground and fallen bad apples - my son fell and scraped his leg as well as some splinters on his hand. Apples were only $1.50 per lb but again will had a hard time finding good ones. It was still a fun experience. read more

This place is the new hidden gem in Apple Hill. We went on our annual family apple picking adventure. They were very nice and provided baskets. While picking we were told by other guests to place the basket under a branch and shake the tree, and the ripe ones will fall in the basket. We also had a very nice picnic after picking.
