A display of some rocks collected by a previous Larsen. Very neat!

We were recommended this place from some of our church friends! We loved every minute there! The museum is interesting and informative, with so much history. The food was memorable too. In no time, we bought and shared an apple strudel, and it was great a la mode. We also enjoyed the apple exhibit, where we were recommended Mutsus and Jonagolds for making apple pies, and we proceeded to buy a box of both($28/each), with a small bag of honeycrisps and two jugs of their unpasteurized apple juice. Let me tell you! That juice warmed up is so flavorful and darn refreshing! Don't let the floaties put you off, it's delicious!! And our pies turned out amazing with how great of a combo these two apple varieties are!!

Larsen Apple Barn is one of those classic Apple Hill stops that never disappoints. The moment you walk in, you're surrounded by the sweet scent of fresh apples and friendly smiles. They have every variety you could imagine -- all ready to sample -- and you can buy them by the bushel or the bag to take home. The staff is so warm and welcoming, and there's something wonderfully nostalgic about wandering through all the choices, tasting as you go. It's the perfect taste of autumn.

Larsen is such a beautiful, picturesque apple farm. The air and weather are perfect in November, and the apples are plentiful! There's a wonderful museum about the Larsen family that's free and full of things they used throughout the decades. The store has a wide variety of apples and the little restaurant is great. I loved the chicken pot pie and apple cider! Workers are all very friendly too.

I got their pear juice and it was amazing. I was suprised to find pear juice since it's everything apple here! They also sell a variety of apples, have a little apple tasting station, bakery, and a little museum. It was a fun place to walk around.

We enjoyed this stop. They had an Apple barn to grab some apples, juices, etc. They had a separate area for their bake shop that had a large patio with tables and chairs. There was also a small inside area near where you order to eat too. They have a great museum on site to see lots of history and pictures of the family. All the staff on site are super friendly. We tried an apple turnover and a slice of French apple pie both of which can have a scoop of ice cream if you want. Oh and we got an oatmeal apple cookie to take home which was delicious and had me wishing I got more than just one. Large parking lots and restrooms (not porta potty).

    Braeburn-a new breed of apples??

My girlfriend and I spent the day at apple hill. This was our second stop. We arrived around 10:30 on a Sunday. It wasn't that busy when we arrived. Each Farm has something they are known for and from a friend we heard that this place had the best apple dumplings covered in their special sauce. We came here specifically to try their apple dumplings. My girlfriend brought 6 to bake at home. We went to their apple barn and they have some varieties of apples I've never heard of. I would like to given them a try, but they don't sell individual apples. It's only by the bag or box. We got a great parking spot right in-front of the apple barn. The bathrooms are plentiful and clean.

Tried a new place in the area so stopped to see what they had to offer. There is a large parking area and a museum towards the back area. A little area with picnic tables to relax. They also have a bakery. Once you go inside the main barn you can see how they process the apples. You can buy them fresh as well as other products such as jams and nuts.

Favorite stop in Apple Hill! They had samples of different kinds of apples and they were fresh and delicious! Some of the other places we went to were overcrowded and too touristy. This place was simple with no glitz and no cheap vendors. The apples were fairly priced and were the best we saw in Apple Hill. Never heard of some of the different apples they grow. Braeburn apples were our favorites!

    Erich L.

Decent pies. They have a family history museum that's free and fun for a quick visit. I bought some pie to eat there and one to go. Everything is good. They also have a farm shop where you can see them processing the apples and they sell apples and more.

I've been getting Fuji and Mutsu apples from Larsen Apple Barn for the past few years. This year's apple purchases were great: $29 for a 20 lb box. They offer samples of their fruit in their main building - which I love. And, they have a bakery in another building - where you can get pies by the slice or light bites. They even have another building that is a "museum" of equipment. Parking is plentiful and they even have public bathrooms.

This is one of the truly authentic apple farms/ranches, and well worth a visit. There's not as much kitschy gift stuff, and it concentrates primarily on the product- apples. The variety of apples available is excellent, and I discovered one I had never heard of before, the Arkansas Black apple. They had a station set up for samples, and after I tried the Arkansas Black, a bit tart yet quite uniquely delicious, I bought a bag. They also had freshly made apple juice in three sizes, so I got one as well. There's also a family museum in a separa6e building but there wasn't enough time to visit. Next time! This was a fun stop in Apple Hill, a bit far afield in Camino, but still not that far, and the drive is beautiful.

Came on a Friday thinking that I was smart and avoiding the crowds. The line was long to order lunch but we are here as they have vegan items. You order at the counter and there are a few seats inside but the line to order weaves through soupy are better off eating outside at the tables. My suggestions is you have a choice of chis or potatoes salad with your food order but I would much rather have an apple. We ordered the veggie sandwich which comes on sourdough bread without the cheese and Mayo and the veggie dog. The veggie dog was tiny for $8. The s veggie sandwich was lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickles with a thin spread of avocado and I would not recommend it. They have a museum of items that have been used in the fa and farmhouse though the years. They Harvey's over 20 types of apples here.

Found out this farm has been around since 1860- run by the same family! Excellent service and you can sample the apples. Delicious pear and apple cider. The neighbor who gives tours of the museum was very nice and informative

It was SO soft, hot, and had a good amount of cinnamon to it which I really appreciated. Get your own and don't share, you've been warned! The corn dog batter is delicious! Crispy on the outside and ever so slightly doughy on the inside while still being chewy and soft--it was so good! Not to mention the actual hot dog tasted like it was all beef, not sure if it was, but it definitely wasn't a Bar-S hot dog if you know what I mean! The hot link corn dog was my FAVORITE.
