Came to Moonraker on a Saturday afternoon and really enjoyed the vibe here. Outlaw Cuisine food truck was parked just outside the entrance so we were able to place a food order first and then wander over to the bar where we picked out four beers for our flight and then four flavored seltzers for a second flight. Service was quick and there were plenty of picnic tables available outside under the shade structure. Dogs are welcome here and there were quite a few on the day we were there. The vibe is relaxed, friendly and laid back. Looking forward to coming back here to try more beer and seltzer. read more

I've been to Moonraker a handful of times but made the drive out yesterday for their 10 year anniversary and honestly really glad I did. This place does a lot of things right and yesterday was a good reminder of that. The space is really cool. They have private rooms you can book for events, cute little nooks to hang out in, and the back area is massive and covered which was perfect for a big event like this. They also had a second bar set up outside and a few food trucks which was a nice touch. Oh and lots of dogs, always a plus. Their beer selection is super expansive, all kinds of styles and they have beer slushies! The staff were genuinely so friendly even though it was slammed. I asked for a ton of samples before deciding on one and they were totally cool about it without making me feel bad at all. Really appreciated that. Live bands were a fun idea but they were pretty loud, like conversation was kind of a struggle at times. Also not really a kids at breweries person but that's just me. My biggest gripe though is the bathrooms. Four restrooms for an event that size is just not it. Bring in some mobile restrooms for big events, something, anything. It's such an easy fix and makes a huge difference when you're waiting in a long line after a few beers. Still one of my favorite spots and I'll keep making the drive up even though its over an hour away. read more

Great spot to hang out for a vast array of beers and ciders as well as seltzers. They always have a resident food truck that on this occasion was a Mexican type fusion. My favorite beer was the Toro loco lager and the Elderberry seltzer a nice surprise. Plenty of seating and spacious as well as dpg friendly and at some time lots of barking going on. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Most of the staff was nice some was more on the serious side. Flights are also available as well as some cool merchandise and trucker hats. Moonraker Brewery offers a beautiful, vast indoor and outdoor space, with plenty of seating, tables, and space to work and/or socialize. I went in the morning and grabbed their egg bites and seasonal guava latte. The coffe was delicious- the guava was not noticeable, but the balance of coffee, creaminess, and not-to-sweet was incredibly satisfying. The bites were well cooked and came with a tomato based sauce that rounded out the dish. Service was fast and friendly. Recently lost my wallet there full of cash upon closing time, I immediately called and asked the staff for help.. a female manager ( R something) said they'd email the owner and CC me. It's been weeks that I've been calling and they've been avoiding my phone calls. Even if they didn't find anything they could've helped me with providing me with camera footage .. literally any kind of help would of been better than nothing but they haven't done anything at all to help except lead me on, it's quite frustrating and makes me thing they're involved somehow. I appreciate that Moonraker Brewing always has multiple styles of brews for most tastes. I appreciate that someone like me who appreciates a malty, rich brew but not bitter brews will always find something to enjoy here. This is a great brewery and one I'd recommend to just about anyone over age 21. They offer a wide variety of brews that will satisfy most palates. The location is a little off the beaten path, but to me, that added to the overall experience. If you're seeking a break from Sacramento, or on a trip back from Lake Tahoe, Moonraker is a great place to stop for a bit. The outdoor seating is homey and comfortable. There are fire pits for those who want to warm their feet. I haven't been during the summer, but I'd imagine it would still be nice. Haven't tried any of the food trucks, but I believe they rotate. The beer is priced competitively so you won't have to worry about overspending. Great brewery overall! read more

It had been a while since we been back at Moonraker . This beer and brewery is still one of my top 5 breweries. Their beers are definitely craft beer u can taste the quality and care in the making of these beers . Walking in to this establishment it was massive! They have a lot of areas available for private parties . If you are thinking of a private party this would be a great idea . Their outside patio has so much space too . They have Food Trucks and live music on certain dates . It's so big they even have a private party area outside too . Service - We had the pleasure to meet Vincenzo he was so friendly and attentive. He guided us through our beer flights. He is very knowledgeable and fun . He even gave us tips on where to go for dinner near the area . He is amazing definitely above and beyond on his service . For our beers- They had so much to choose from they offer Hazy, Stout , Sour, West Coast ,Lagers and light beers , mixed Fermentations, and Hard Seltzers . Honestly everything sounded so good we had to get flights . We even tried the Foam Walker and let me tell you it was like an Espresso Martini of beers . Everything we tried was 10/10 and we had so much fun doing it . Overall this place has a great ambiance with the patio lights and the great staff that make you feel welcome . They are kid and dog friendly. They do not sell food but they have food trucks and chips and salsa for purchase. You can see the food trucks rotation on their website and their beers on tap. HEAVENLY! The beer gods put this brewery on the map. Every single beer that they make is absolutely DELICIOUS! From hop forward to juicy to sour to light and refreshing, they have it all! There's a beer or beverage for everyone! The staff is efficient and happy to help. The brewery is huge with indoor and outdoor seating. Dog and kid friendly. FOOD: They have chips and salsa that you can buy in the brewery and they have rotating food trucks that pull up to the back patio. You can also bring in outside food. TO-GO: They have a ton a of beers to-go. From growler fills to 4-pks, they have it all. Not all beers can be purchased to take home so just ask or look on their TV menus. PARKING: They have parking in the front and the back of the brewery. They get busy but I've never had a problem finding a spot. This is one of my absolute favorite breweries in Placer County! Whenever I visit my parents in Auburn, a trip to Moonraker Brewing is always on my list. If you're a fan of Hazy IPAs, this place is one of the best--they've truly perfected the style. Personally, I prefer lighter beers, and they have incredible options, like their Boho Pils, which was unmatched while it was available. The ambiance is fantastic--spacious, kid- and pet-friendly, with plenty of seating. I've even brought my laptop to work there and had no trouble finding a quiet spot near an outlet. One of my favorite memories of Moonraker is from my wedding day in 2018. I stopped by to ask if I could rent a keg. It's not something they typically do, but I happened to be talking to the owner. When I told him it was for my wedding later that day, he made an exception and let me rent two kegs. That kind of generosity and personal touch is rare and something I'll never forget. Their private room had its own bathroom, and not too far from the bar to retrieve your drinks. Our party had plenty of food options, but they do have daily food trucks available. Quality/Quantity - $2 flight discount for 4 tasters, all beers were good. Today I had the following: Marzen - I consider this a Red, but it was kind of hoppy. Windsurfer - West Coast Pale Ale. Juicy Pail - NE Pale Ale. Electric Lettuce - Smooth especially for a NE Double IPA. Food truck Wing Mahal (not affiliated with Moonraker), 3.5 star experience. Of course we had to get the Mumbai spice wings, which paired perfectly with all my beers. This was my favorite food/choice. Samosawich - Sorry, I can not recommend. It was just a samosa in between two buns... Huge disappointment. The Samosas side would have been a better choice. Also, the fries were NOT crispy, and had very little quantity. Overall, a disappointment. Punjabi BBQ Tacos - Not bad, okay flavors, generous portions. Atmosphere - Open 7 days a week from 11am to 8pm or 9pm, see Yelp or website. Live music every Friday night, too bad I could not stay... Wednesday - Trivia night. Dog friendly. Semi private rooms, this brewery is HUGE, both indoor and outdoor space! Plenty of outdoor parking. Wifi password = moonraker. A long heat lamp right at the entrance and two fire pits, which is NOT enough for their huge space. Good thing, it just means I need to drink more to stay warm, LOL. Service - Good, got here before the rush, and she was very patient with me as I wanted a flight and have never been here before. Someone needs to go around and clean the tables outside. Price - $10 + tip for a flight of 4 tasters. $42 for the food truck lunch, which I think was overpriced for what we got. Great brewery with awesome ambiance both indoor and outside, plenty of seating, and even areas for live music on Fridays! Great selection of beers with majority IPA/DIPA varietals. Friendly staff who are comfortable making suggestions as well. Parking in multiple lots nearby. The front of the brewery may be a little harder to spot since it's in a relatively industrial area of Auburn. Prices for flights and beers/growlers very reasonable. They have food trucks here as well (reviewed separately), which is nice to have an option to get a snack if you're catching up w/ friends or having an afternoon out. Before heading out of town for the weekend to go camping, my husband and I stopped at Moonraker brewing with our dogs. It was mostly a stop to grab a late lunch from their food truck, but also to stock up on some beer for our camping trip. I have had Moonraker beers before, but never visited the actual brewery. The space is quite large and offers a ton of seating. They are dog friendly and they have rotating food trucks. I loved that they offered a nice variety of beers and even some seltzer's. You can purchase select beers in canned form, but they also sell growlers ($5 deposit if you don't have your own growler). The next time I find myself in the Auburn area, I will definitely be coming back to Moonraker brewing. read more

I am a native from Auburn and I love that we have some good breweries around here where we don't have to drive too far. However, going to a brewery is, meeting up with family and friends and bringing your children so it's family friendly and I appreciate that, however, today someone decided it was okay to bring in a group of at least 10 kids around the age of 9 or 10 and they we're so loud it was hard to have a conversation. I think it's one thing to be able to bring your kids and still have an enjoyable experience,, but to have some sort of kids party at the brewery is not okay. They should have been at a pizza place. They did bring in five pizzas and all these were Extremely Loud and it was very difficult to have a conversation with anyone, even on top of the sound of the generator from the food truck. I did notice, all the husbands/ fathers we're outside of the area avoiding the noise and sitting by the fireplace and drinking. Again, not trying to be a Karen and I am so thankful for allowing children there because I bring my own grandchildren, however this was extremely disruptive to catching up with family and having an adult conversation. It's too close in quarters at this place for that to happen. There should be a little something in place in an adult atmosphere read more

All the sours are amazing, and so are the seltzers! Great options for gluten sensitive peeps. There's seats inside, along with a big outside seating area with some fire pits! We were finally able to get to the brewery (while on our way camping). One of my softball teams has a couple guys from Auburn and they all bring beers from Moonraker and Knee Deep and we have debates of which one is better. Moonraker wins for my money so we've always wanted to come to this brewery and finally got the chance. Had some great tastes of beers and left with a couple four packs to take camping. I still say pound for pound California is the best state for beer and it's not just because of the bigwigs like Stones, Ballast and Drakes but because of the many outstanding breweries like this that you can find all over the state. Well, it goes without saying the first thing that comes to mind when I hear "Moonraker" I automatically think of the James Bond 007 movie of the same name starring Roger Moore. After poking around with brewery's history I couldn't quite find a direct connection or reference between the two. All I did find was emphasis by the owners for sustainability so... maybe it's a purposeful connection... or not...? Well regardless where the name came from the beer Steve and I had was absolutely wonderful! We got their Imperial Coffee Stout on Nito with Sea Salt. Steve is not a big fan of nitro at all but he was very impressed with this one. I have no problem with nitro but sometimes I do miss the carbonation but with the sea salt zing to it the beer had more life to it than one would think for a nitro. Of course the coffee fearure was great as we are always all about beer with coffee in it. There was also chocolaty notes to it that added to the great body and complexity which in the end made a very unique and fun nitro beer to enjoy. read more

I think my favorite was the Five oh Five WC Ale - just super super solid. Also enjoyed their IPAs and thought the Nitro stout was interesting. Only complaint is that they don't can more of them. They also have food trucks. We were there pretty early in the day and the food truck didn't come till part way through our visit (maybe 1pm?) but we were still able to get some lunch. read more

I hosted my sister's 40th birthday party here last weekend and it was perfect! From the communication on booking the Barrel Room all the way to the day of, Moonrakers staff and manager Vincenzo were extremely professional and a delight to work with. The room was absolutely gorgeous and frankly, didn't need extra decoration even though we still did bring some of our own. This is a great location for hosting any event.
