Happy 2Year Anniversary Shred
Drew B.

I've been to Shred about 4-5 times. Was having difficulty accepting this new spot for Brewer Zach after him leaving a cherished spot across town. I'm over the past and completely stoked for Shred. The beers are all just SDG so damn great!! Always a few hazies, a few more westies, a lighter lager or two. Perhaps a couple stouts. Everything Kills! I could drink like one of everything on their board of like 12-16 beers. The taproom has 3 areas inside and plenty of out door tables. A big screen tv, a couple pinball games and a few skateboards hanging for decoration. Plenty of cans to go and chips and salsa for sale. Usually a food vendor outside on the weekends. Bartender are always great. Smiling jappy to be working there types. Congratulations on two years, SHRED!!!

Fresh kegged shred IPA!

After subbing in Rocklin, I made my way over to Shred. Greeted by the friendly bartender, I made my decision for a freshly kegged IPA. I got the signature Shred IPA and deelish chips by the crazy gringo! There's also more snacks and salsa for sale too, but if you need food-food the. Go get a pizza a couple blocks away... I sipped my Shred IPA while the sunset was in motion and enjoyed the outdoor vibes. This place is so rad and enjoyable inside or out and for dogs too. I can't wait to visit for another beer (either their Cino-Cico-Cerveza or Murk side of the moon look really bomb...and celebrate their two-year anniversary; 6/14/25!!

God Machine - a must get

What a great spot! This place is super clean and wonderfully decorated! Wow! We came here randomly last week and were very impressed. The beers were delicious. We got different flights...My favorite was the God Machine. Yum!!! Unfortunately for us the food truck cancelled last minute, literally. But they had the crazy gringo chips and salsas, popcorn and spicy pretzels for purchase. They have to go beers and other drinks in the to go fridges. Ms. Dani our bartender was very sweet and helpful. We enjoyed her presence there and are sad to learn she is moving to the East coast soon. We will be back!! Their 2 year anniversary is 6/14 and they are doing a fun party with a food truck... That's our wedding anniversary day too, maybe we'll stop by!

High bines

Stopped by Shred on a Friday afternoon. The brewery is a nice size and you are immediately greeted upon entering. Looked at the big board and the selection was almost overwhelming. Ended up getting a "friends with freestyle" and a "high bines". Both were absolutely phenomenal, balanced and full of flavor. I was also able to try a sample of "magical path" and took a four pack home. I wholeheartedly recommend Shred for anyone who enjoys delicious beer

They allow dogs. Mine were only 2 of the 5 there.

Super friendly staff. Great tables and chairs for sitting and enjoying beer. Loved that they allow dogs. We also came for the Vegan Circus Food truck. Organic Vegan Carnival Food and every vegan or not just loves them. The beer was ok. Daughter and I got a flight each with 8 different beers to taste. None of them made us want a full glass. I think the Elevated Synergy was the favorite. Loved the citrus back notes. Not too hoppy. The Obliterator came in 2nd only because it was it so full of flavor it was almost too much. After Midnight came in last with an odd after taste.

We had wanted to check out the brewery as my hubby had tried one of their beers at a restaurant. There is a parking lot to park for the brewery. There are plenty of tables to sit and have a beer. We brought our dog and was able to sit inside especially since it was hot outside. We did not see an area for outdoor seating. Staff greeted us right away and asked what we would like. I usually get a sampler so I can try a few different styles. They offer a good selection of beers. They don't have food although you can buy some snacks. Found a bag of tasty popcorn made by local vendors. We brought some food also to have for lunch.

I really enjoyed our visit to Shred. The tasting room is quite large lots of space for big groups, its kid & pet friendly as well. The service is quick & friendly, since it was my first time visiting I asked for recommendations & their recs did not disappoint! They have a large variety & A LOT of West Coast IPA's. I ordered a flight of 4 & really enjoyed their Fluffy Clouds, Hazy DIPA. Loved visiting this place & we will definitely return when in the area!

I been wanting to come to this new brewery that opened this summer it has been on my list since then . So glad we had the opportunity to check it out this past Saturday. This location is where Out Of Bounds brewery use to be. When we first walked in it was kinda empty but as the evening went on, it started getting a little bit more busy . They do not have any food but they do have popcorn and chips for purchase. They have rotating food trucks on some days . The day we were there the food truck had already left . Jeff was the person who helped us that day he was amazing !! Very friendly and attentive he explained all the beers to us and we had great conversations with him. I honestly had not heard much of this brewery besides me checking on Yelp for any new places to visit near my area and this business popped up. I love hazy beer and all the hazy's I tried that day were super delicious. I had a flight of all of them . I seen they had a lot of medals and awards for winning things for their amazing beers . Another thing that caught my eye on the menu is that they had a collaboration with Humble Sea which is one of my favorite breweries. I highly recommend checking out this brewery it has amazing beers on tap also beers to go in cans . They have TVs and nice seating areas . Jeff was amazing and friendly! We can not wait to go back and have some more delicious beers !!

I was here when they originally opened a little of a year ago. They had some decent stuff, but were building. Well, they have come full circle. Tasted the Zero Degrees Cold Lager- well balanced, smooth and super crushable. Then did a taste of the Hella Bier Hellas Lager- light, totally refreshing, mowing your lawn on a hot afternoon crushable refresher lager, loved it! Then I asked the beer tender(Connor) to pick a West Coast IPA of the 5 they had on tap . He gave me Nose Deep 6.9% abv. Solid West Cost IPA. Super rich, full bodied, Dank, smooth, hints of coconut. Great everyday varietals and a double crush. Bro knows his brew! Enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Listening to artists like Stick Figure, The Movement and Pepper. Super inviting and kick back. I will be back.....soon. Thank you Shred.

Cute spot kind of in the middle of no where. Biased opinion though I'm not from here, either way it's a cute spot dim lighting nice and cool inside on a hot summer day big screen with baseball on. First time here and we had the High Frequency and DDH both so good if you like a hazy. Really like this spot for a good beer and a chill vibe.

We came here Thursday around 4:30pm. Not busy at all. We got a flight of beers and got some sour beer cans from the fridge to enjoy. They are more ipa heavy here. But a couple of their sour beer to-go cans were good. The restroom is outside and shared with other business.

The people who work there are super open, friendly, and welcoming. There's a strong feeling of acceptance and warmth. Even though my English isn't perfect, they were so kind and made me feel completely comfortable, which honestly means a lot. They also recommended drinks, and wow -- everything I tried was genuinely delicious. And the coolest part: if you're not sure what you like or can't decide, they'll let you taste different drinks, which is such a nice touch. Another thing I loved is that you can buy really cool jewelry and interesting little things for your home. Everything fits the same aesthetic -- relaxed, artsy, slightly mushroom-core vibe -- and it all just works together so well. Overall, the vibe is unreal. Super cozy, inspiring, and warm. I 100% recommend checking this place out -- it might just become your perfect spot to spend time, chill, and feel good.

I've run into him at multiple beer festivals, and every time, he's not there to socialize -- he's there working, tasting, hunting down the next great pour to bring back to his customers. That kind of dedication shows in every tap handle on the wall. The atmosphere is exactly what a great taproom should be -- relaxed, welcoming, and unpretentious. You can imagine my happiness when I stumbled upon this bar/gaming room with the funny German sounding name when I realized it was a glorified pinball arcade room that also served beer. This place is straight amazing-50+ of the greatest pinball machines are available to play. They do use the "game-card" system to pay for these games, which can make playing these games way too easy-games tend to cost about $1 a game in game credits to play, which is far more than I paid when I was an 8 year old kid but then again, that was 45 years ago. They have a pretty solid beer selection-beers tend to go for anywhere between $7-$8 a beer-not too bad in my opinion.Though they do offer a pretty unique item called "Das Boot" which is a pretty large boot that cost $40 and comes with a fill up at time of purchase and 20% off on future fill ups-though not sure what the original cost of a fill up is exactly. One massive upgrade I've learned in the pinball world is nowadays you can download an app by Stern Inc,the majority manufacturer of most of the popular pinball machines and you can register your pinball play and it will keep tabs of everywhere u play and all the scores u achieved on the various pinball machines-I really enjoyed this feature-I only wish they had this when I was in my prime of pinball play when I was a youth. This place doesn't have the best hours but I'm sure there is a reason for these hours-M-F the hours are 5p-10p and on weekends they open at 12p... In closing-If you ever find yourself in the Rocklin area and you get a yearning to try out your pinball machine skills-I couldn't recommend this spot any higher as they are a very unique spot offering a truly awesome experience-a trip down memory lane for some and a whole new world for the younger generation-You should get out there and have some fun. PS-I failed to mention this place is very family friendly-on my particular visit the place was flooded with kids from elementary to high school age honing their pinball machine skills and enjoying every minute of it.

The mac n' cheese bites I had last week were freshly prepared (from scratch), cooked to order, piping hot, and totally delicious--and also under $10. The beers and ciders on tap are all mostly from small, local makers and under $10/pint. They also have plenty of NA drink options. We were seated in the patio in the shade, so it wasn't too insufferably hot on this very sunny, warm day. Jägerschnitzel is my go-to at German restaurants and the one at Kathrin's is one of the best I've had to date. My plate was generous and the jägerschnitzel was tender, the spätzle was too, and the mushroom gravy that topped the jägerschnitzel was just so good. I cleaned my plate. I also got one of their small pretzels to start the meal and loved how soft and chewy it was, and the mustard had a good punch of spice. I thought it was cool that their pretzels are sourced from a local Bavarian factory. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the dressing on the green salad that comes with the jägerschnitzel. I'm really not sure what it was and can't say I've had anything else that tastes like it before, but it was strong and I was good after just a few bites. However, that wasn't enough to ruin the meal for me with as good as that jägerschnitzel was. While I was only here because I was visiting family who live in the area and recommended this place, I'd be happy to return if my family wanted to come back on a future visit.

Schnitzel was dry and flavorless. It seemed as if they had heated everything up in a microwave. Overly hot and very dry. Happy hour started at 3PM and we arrived at 2:45. That would have given us a discount on food and beer. But we figured oh well, our bad for not realizing. We commented on it to the bartender / server, like "oh darn" and he didn't really react. It was not like we expected to get the happy hour prices, we were just commenting. Then, unfortunately, we overheard him talking to two men at the bar, saying "I waited until 3PM to ring up your beers because I wanted to give you happy hour price." Yikes! Why not us? (Only us and these two gents inside at the time. There was a handful of people at outside tables.) We are disappointed because we had enjoyed them before and they are the closest restaurant to us serving German food. The food and the service that day are not very motivating to return.
