My boyfriend and I just finished a 5-mile hike and were looking for a place to have a cold drink. The beer selection was excellent, and the ones we picked were so delicious that we purchased the cans to take home. We loved the collection of law-enforcement badges showcased on the walls. My coworkers and I were looking for a place to hang out, preferably one that serves alcohol and food available. Despite this place not serving food, a sushi and pizza place were nearby. Some of us brought food but most of us bought sushi and shared family style. Their beer selections are pretty good. I'm not much of a beer fan but I did enjoy their sour ales. The drink selection and (hard to find) availability are great and the staff are both knowledgable, friendly and good people. You can order sushi from next door and sit back and talk and drink with ease. Seating is reasonable, the customers are chill and the prices are really well priced. I honestly don't know if they have restrooms, because I've never had to go, but they have games and the seating good. BTW they actually get Pliny the younger--so I'm told. When we were there a year ago they had them on tap, but were not given the go to serve yet...BUT if you should get lucky in the month of February go there and save yourself a trip to Santa Rosa and get some of the younger. The owner seems great but I fortunately we had an incident where my family, including my 18 month old walked out of the sushi joint and there was man smoking cigarettes several feet from the front door and the middle aged white guy who works here didn't care that the patron was standing outside the door blowing cancer in in the air. Hands down coolest little tap room in Placer County. Not only do they have a really solid selection of beers on tap, but they've got several coolers with bottles and cans of local and not so local beers of all styles. They've got great prices on the cans too, so it's worth a stop just to grab a 4 or 6er. They have a a little bit of patio space to chill outside and they've got a few TVs so you can keep an eye on whatever game you happen to care about. Got profiled today after being a regular customer. Usually have a positive experience here but today I encountered an older woman working the bar that stared at us from the moment we walked in, no greeting. I didn't even browse the selection by the entrance for 5 seconds when I was asked to provide ID. Even questioned the legitimacy of one of our ID's because the expiration year seemed off (her words) After showing her the ID's and walking to the back to check the other selections, I mentioned that in the 2 years I been buying beer from here I've never been asked for ID before purchasing anything before. She then made some remark to some patrons sitting at the bar about us. I'm sorry if you are unable to read signs that say no kids allowed or misinterpreted the fact that this is clearly not a restaurant but I think you need to see a therapist regarding your hostile negatively. We don't need more people in the world propogating this behavior unnecessarily which is what you are doing. You are not entitled, get over yourself and try to enjoy life without attempting to ruin others. Also, the patio can easily be accessed as it is open from the outside, had you been there before, you'd have known that you didn't need to continue going through the BAR to let your family know you were not staying. I've been going to final gravity for 2 years. The service is fast, knowledgeable, and efficient. The beer selection is incredible. They prices are very fair for the quality of cans and bottles that they have on sale. I love the bar setup, it's a great place to watch a game. They have trivia nights and it's a fun social atmosphere. Final gravity also has outdoor seating on a fenced patio with heat lamps available. They do not allow patrons under 21, so make sure you get a babysitter. As far as I know the establishment is dog friendly if they are well behaved. Play cards, liars dice with the colored dice cups, maybe Yatzee. Lots of beer on tap and beer bottles in the coolers. Do a flight of 4 where you pick your own 4. Then get a glass of your favorite. You won't find Coors Light here. I did find Old Chub Nitro ... delish! (nitro instead of CO2). This was my first time here and meeting up with a friend (apparently a regular). i like the darker beers and not so bitter or hoppy. My wife likes the Belgium style and a tad on the amber side. We've both mostly been wine a-holes for many years and am still a wine a-hole but want to seriously branch out and take in the beer world. I feel very comfortable doing that here. read more
