I love this place and the beer is definitely one of my favorite things about coming here. The food trucks are always really good, and one of my favorites is Señor Burger. There are usually so many great options to choose from, so it's nice to be able to grab some food and enjoy it with a good beer. The outdoor area is really nice and has plenty of space to hang out, including cornhole games, which makes it a fun place to spend time with friends. The inside is cute and has a really nice, fun atmosphere too. I also love the live bingo they do it's always so much fun and adds something different to the experience. And of course, the beer is amazing! They have a great selection, and their slushies are so refreshing, especially when it's hot outside. I will say that "Moksa Brewing" is one of the better breweries in the greater Sacramento area. Located in the city of Rocklin and directly at the corner of Pacific St & Sunset Blvd, this place has been serving up some of the most delicious and tastiest beers dating back to early-2018. And to those reading this review, there is also a "Moksa Barrel House" which focuses way more on food since they are an actual restaurant that serves a wide variety of the beers that the brewing company offers. I came here during the evening of Friday 8/1/2025 at around 6:00pm while meeting up with a group of friends. Since the food truck, "Señor Burger" was hosting their delicious food offerings, we took advantage of that while enjoying our beer. However, since this review is specifically on Moksa Brewing, I will focus on everything that this business has to offer. First and foremost, the interior is quite impressive with a generous seating area. Additionally, there are a ton of beer barrels towards the rear of the business. And throughout, they offer some very cool merchandise that includes caps, beanies, t-shirts, hoodies, and outerwear. The beer selections are outstanding with a huge assortment of lagers, stouts, IPA's, and even a couple varieties of beer slushies. Since the weather was a warm but comfortable 89°F, we took full advantage by sitting at their generous outdoor patio area. Since it was the dog days of summer, my first drink of choice was their "Summerthyme" which was a light, refreshing lemon flavor and has an ABV of 5.2%. My second drink was far different as I was curious to taste what these slushies were all about. Therefore, I went with their "Lava Flow" which is a combination of Sunshine Fluff/Dragonade. It was a refreshing blend of sweet and sour while it was the perfect pairing for our burgers/fries. All in all, "Moksa Brewing" is an excellent place to enjoy and admire all different types of unique beers. And it caters from the rookie beer drinkers to the more seasoned veterans. With outstanding customer service, a huge assortment of progressive and unique options, and a cozy yet upscale interior, this is one of the better places in Placer County and the greater Sacramento area for that matter. I generally go to their other establishment in Roseville when wanting to have some drinks and food, but this time around, I wanted to take my cousin to their original establishment. We arrived a little around 3:30PM and there were a fair amount of people. Upon arriving, I observed one of their new release: Well Tempered 2026. Jaw dropping, I immediately had to try this out. This place is pretty chill. There's a good selection of beer, shady outdoor seating, sports on the big screens, and mellow reggae playing on the radio. I tried their Octoberfest for the first time. It had a great brown color, foamy head, and a nice malty flavor. It price was reasonable at $7.00, and the service was good. I can't complain. First I must say I am not a beer drinker. My Yelper hubby, Tom S. is a beer drinker. So we came here to try the Cousins Lobster Food Truck experience. This place has an amazing number of in house beers! And the description of the flavors seem to match the beer. Hubby ordered a beer that matched the description perfectly. Since I am not a beer drinker, I tried the Rice Lager, which is light and perfect on a hot day for me. Moksa has a big outdoor shaded patio, but it was 100 degrees when we arrived and I could not imagine dining and drinking out there! So we went inside and they have a good selection of seating, some TV's etc. The staff is courteous and friendly. They get the job done. We were there at 5:00 and just about every indoor table was taken. If you are a beer drinker, you should check this place out! read more

A great place to stop by in Rocklin for the craft beer lover. They had a bunch of options to choose from, both for drinking there or cans to go. Dog and kid-friendly, with lots of seating inside as well as covered patio seating outside on a nicer day. For the non-beer drinker, it would have been nicer if they had more food choices - they have a snack menu here but it's fairly limited. It was the difference between us staying and my husband having a couple drinks here versus us getting something to go so we could go and find food somewhere else. read more

Came in for Cousin's lobster food truck night. Ordered at the truck window, took a flying saucer pager and went into the brew house to peruse the beers. Yes, there are at least 25 beers on tap. Something for everyone even if you have bizarre taste buds. Though I usually swerve towards the wild and wacky with food and drink, decided to keep the beer choice compatible with the lobster which I suspected would be mildly flavored. So the west coast pilsner it was. Beer tastes alive as one expects when you're standing mere meters away from where it is made. The combination of 3 hops gave the beer a distinct citrus, musky fruity flavor. Certainly was not a shy beer. Did I love it? I enjoyed it but would not order it again. Fellow Yelp Elite Barbara S. chose the rice lager. She is not a beer drinker. In comparison to my pilsner the lager had no flavor at all. Was a less fizzy Budweiser. The large room is quite basic, industrial, not very pretty. A few high mounted screens with the requisite sports games being displayed. Big outdoor patio, too. It was a hot evening. Big outdoor fans were blowing breezes across the patio. Friendly employees. Every mid size town in California seems to have a local brew pub. This one is pretty typical. Stopped by on a early Thursday afternoon just as it was beginning to get busy. This brewery offers both interior and patio seating, with dogs allowed in either place, so that is very cool. The big dude that helped us seemed more like a bouncer than a server because he seemed indifferent, irritable, and not very interested in answering questions. Tried a flight of four beers and also tasted a few others to get a good sampling of what they make. The beer was good, but their IPA offerings were all too similar for my taste. Also, at the time we visited they had nothing on the beer menu that was malt forward. They do not have food, but there was a food truck next to the patio that had not opened yet. This place was a great stop while visiting the Rocklin/Roseville area. The beer was great. Had the lager and a pale ale. Their brew set up is gorgeous to look at and there is plenty of seating. Bartenders even gave some great recommendations for other breweries nearby. Wish they had some better food selections, currently just beef jerky and sometimes a food truck outside. Number one brewery for us in the area. I'm a fan of sours stouts and they make some great ones. Place is nice and has a good amount of seating inside and outside. They have swamp coolers outside during the summer. They also have food trucks which they post in their instagram site. Some pretty good places like West Coast Taco, Reds pizza and supreme gyro. I tried the cucumber Kolsh and wanted to try the slushy but we ran out of time. They had a food truck out front and lots of patio seating under shady trees. The bathrooms were very clean. What a great local brewery in Rocklin! Moksa Brewing is a great place to drink beer, casually hang out, and possibly get some food. I say possibly because I've been here twice, both times close to closing, and therefore, have not caught any food trucks here (food trucks must leave early). They don't serve any food, but you are allowed to bring food. The place is large with PLENTY of seating indoors and outdoors. They have a great beer selection that rotates frequently. So far, I usually get the sour ales...their sours are strong! (In flavor and (sometimes) alcohol content). I love how they add seasonal fruit to flavor the beers as well. I've tried the Trop Fizz (sour ale w/ mango, tangerine, guava) ($7), One Million Blueberries (imperial sour ale with blueberries) ($9), and the Summerberries (imperial sour ale w/ blackberries, cherries, blueberries, strawberries, & vanilla) ($10). They were all really good! You can definitely taste the sour! I really liked the fruit notes as well. One Million Blueberries was probably my fav as far as taste. The Summerberries was pretty good, but also very tart and strong! 11.1% ABV! I felt it. We also tried the Capitol Colossus ($8), a west coast double IPA, which was pretty good. Moksa Brewing is a fantastic local brewery in Rocklin, perfect for a fun place to chill, hang out, and have some great craft beer. The place is dog-friendly, and outside food-friendly. It's not open extremely late, even on weekends (11pm). Service was not bad. Tip - Make sure you turn into the plaza early, otherwise you are going to have a hard time getting back in the parking lot. read more

Beer is good. Ambiance is good. Online says family friendly but not really? I have a toddler with a disability (autism) where he needs to be in a high chair. I always check if it's family friendly or accessible and unfortunately they didn't have both when it says it does. We stopped in for a beer on our way back to Sactown. My friend always speaks very highly of this brewery and we finally got the opportunity to come in. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth the visit. As you can see they have quite a large beer list and they produce them all. They have quite a wide variety of flavors, ingredients, and ABV's (From 5.2% to 12%). They definitely have something on the list to accommodate all taste buds, including non-beer items and non alcoholic items. I had the Let's Try Kief - a Hazy Double IPA with Motueka Hop Kief, Citra, and Nelson. It was very flavorful and refreshing. When we arrived the line was pretty long. but the team got it moving and in no time at all my friend was back at the table with our beers. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is nice. We sat inside, the temperature was great and the energy was good. I noticed some dogs outside so next time maybe I'll bring mine so I have someone to drive me home!! :) It was a great experience and I'll definitely be back for a longer visit. read more
