Sauvignon Blanc (white wine bottle). Very buttery and changes with the courses

The staff and food are absolutely amazing !! I love the 60's music and ambiance. The only criticism I have is the comfortability of the high chairs lol but I'm just short and hurts my hips but I understand they old timey feel is the point (aka looks great but not great for the shorties with chronic hip issues lol).

Cool vibe in there, a little over priced but the drinks are good and it's cute inside so can't complain! Wish they played music or something though since it's a small shared area.

The Hubby and I had a whole night to ourselves and we haven't had something like that in over three years. The only thing I really wish we would've done and gotten to this place earlier. The vibe is 100 out of 10 the service was 100 out of 10 the drinks were 100 out of 10 the two appetizers that we got so yummy. We will definitely definitely come back.

If you are ever in the Sacramento area this is a must visit! Great service, delicious food and of course great wine. Keep in mind this is a wine bar, they do have a few cocktails they offer but their main focus is their wine, and their food, which do both very well. The servers were so helpful when it came to helping us make our decisions and their recommendations were a hit. I tried the 2 Sauvignon Blancs and they were amazing! My husband had a red wine called the Dragons Tooth, he's not a big wine drinker but this wine alone changed his mind. The food deserves a review of its own. We started off with the Wagyu sliders and the shrimp cocktail Both 10/10 Sliders had all this great flavor and very juicy this was offered as an entree. Crab and shrimp cocktail was fresh and had all these great flavors that mixed so well together. From the chipotle sauce on the crab to the capers in the cocktail sauce it was amazing. For our entree I had the pork chop, it was cooked to perfection a nice seared crust on the outside and juicy on the inside. Not dry at all like you get with a lot of pork chops. It was a good size for what you paid for as well 10/10 My husband got the New York strip he loved it. Great flavor and cooked perfectly. 9/10 For dessert, we ordered both the chocolate cake and the strawberry champagne cake both were exceptional not overly sweet, not super heavy, the right balance you want in a cake. If you are ever looking to have a nice date night, a night out with your girl friends or even just a reason to get dressed up, definitely try this place out.

Quaint and Chill wine bar with relaxing vibes. Red velvet seats, and classy setting. Great place to hang with friends for happy hour. They have a good amount of options of apps and drinks during happy hour 4-6! Make reservations so they can create a custom experience for your group or your date. Definitely a cool spot to hangout. It has romantic Vibes all over.

Let me tell you about this place! Absolutely fantastic Ambience was very welcoming and relaxing, perfect for a date night. We also noticed it offered variety for a nice social night when we came with friends. The food was phenomenal and well crafted! Everything was high quality and jammed packed with flavor! I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a date night or a night out with friends for good food and drinks!

Hidden gem! This cozy yet upscale lounge is the right place for a classy date night. I found this location through IG. Making a reservation helps and you can add table preference. There's no outside sitting. The velvet chairs and couch give it a speakeasy vibe. The music is Frank Sinatra genre and the drinks are very good. The place is pricey, drinks raging from $16-$22, small bites $$17-$26. My favorite has been their charcuterie. Their wine flight are half way glasses filled with different wines. The service is great, they are very nice, accommodating and constantly check on you. The place holds very few seats, I believe it was purposefully done to keep the atmosphere and the uniqueness of this place. I recommend giving this place a try. You will love it!

Reservation for 2 on a Friday night. We were stuck in traffic, called the restaurant and they were able to push us back 15 minutes. Ambiance was giving us a New York vibe. Lounge music, red velvet chairs, classic celebrity pictures on the wall. Not cheesy at all. Service was fantastic. Seated right away. Drinks came quickly. Food arrived early and hot. Our server gave great recommendations as it was our first time. Drinks ordered Hola senor lager French white linen Both were amazing. Crispy and tasty. Food ordered Scallops and shrimps Wagyu sliders Black out cake Highly recommend all! Food was cooked perfectly. We can't wait to return and try other entrees and other drinks. So glad we found this place via Yelp. You would never knock it existed given its location. So cute.

After a fantastic first experience we recently returned to The Blue Parrot Lounge. Another couple joined us, and we shared small plates and meals. Everyone agreed that the atmosphere, food, service, and drinks were exceptional. You can drive right by this establishment and not notice it. It is a small, hole-in-the-wall with a narrow, unpretentious entrance. The inside has a 1930s, speakeasy look and feel with low volume classic jazz playing in the background. The seating is pretty comfortable (plus there is a bar) and the waitstaff is very attentive. The owner checked-in with us both times we have been there to make certain they were meeting our expectations. Happy Hour is from 4-6 with $2.00 off on appetizers and wine. My companions ordered flights of wine, but I stuck with the Trefethen Dragon's Tooth; always pleasing to me. Our meal was diverse including a large Bacon Wrapped Scallop with Shrimp that came with cucumber, lettuce, radish, lemon wedge and chipotle aioli. The Italian Meatballs included rigatti, mozzarella, marinara, fresh basil and crostini. We also devoured the Deviled Eggs with bacon, caper, fresh dill, and onion crisps. The Charcuterie Board was huge - a tempting assortment of cheeses including brie and blue and an Italian hard white. There were various salamis and prosciutto, crostini, and crackers with a dollop of honey. The fruit was fresh / tasty and beautifully presented: strawberries, blackberries, grapes, and apples. On our first visit our dinner included Escargot with Smoked Salmon, Capers & Cucumber. This was served with a variety of crackers and crisps. I would have ordered this again if it was available this last time around. Good value for fine food.

It's a nice bar. Great ambiance. It's a bit on an upscale side so be ready. I liked that I could dress up and still feel comfortable there. The service was nice too. Overall I'd love to come back.

You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the wrong place or about to make a mistake and put yourself into a sketchy place. We looked around for a more "realistic" entry way not knowing the most realistic entry way is one that looks like a back door to a closed vacuum or furniture storefront. That's exactly the point. You knock. Immediately, the door opens. A man in a cowboy hat looks you over. He doesn't wear a name tag. He doesn't need one. He asks, "You have something to say?" If you've done your homework, and say the right thing, the door stays open. You're in. I do not know what happens if you do not have the word. What follows is less a bar and more a pocket of time. The interior is small but well conceived. The bar sits directly at the entrance, flanked by a few standing guests and several small tables. Beyond that, the space opens up into a lounge with seating for six to eight, and a longer bench-style area for a dozen or so. The walls are dark, the lighting low. It's the kind of place that feels like it remembers what Prohibition was, even if most of us never lived it. It felt like walking onto a movie set where we might be extras, and the main characters would enter and play out a scene. It was a perfect example of a speak easy in full swing. Even the glassware was legitimate. The decor is intentional. Books tucked into corners. Stags mounted on the wall. Nothing feels store-bought or trendy. It's immersive without trying too hard. The seats were not overstuffed contemporary types nor were the tables or even foot stools. They all looked like they came from a speak easy back in the day. About the only thing that did not look like the real thing were the patrons, as they were dressed casually, and of course the iPhones. I suppose that would have caused quite a ruckus during prohibition! Conversations are constant, layered over each other and laughter. It gets loud, but not obnoxious. There's a rhythm to the space that holds. My suggestion is to not go at 7pm on a Saturday and hope to get a prized table, couch or seat. Now, to the drinks. House Divided serves anything you ask for, but they lean into the theme. Classic cocktails done right. Throwbacks with historical lean. Creative new entries like lavender martinis that aren't just gimmicks. Each drink feels made by someone who knows what they're doing and takes pride in the process. This is not vodka-soda speed bar territory. It's craft, and it shows. I did not see a bottle of ocean spray anywhere, but what I did see were large glass bottles labeled with the juice or concoction held within. The little details are obvious! If I were to translate my usual framework:    *   Ambiance and Service: 4 stars (it can get loud and if you are here to have a conversation it will be difficult)    *   Quality: 5 stars- I had a simple drink - vodka and cranberry. With something "special" that the tender added. I don't know what it was, but the taste was wonderful! Way different than my standard go to!    *   Value? That depends on whether you're measuring price per ounce, or the fact that you just got to walk through a green door into another world. But in reality, 5 stars. Do I wish for more seating? Yes. Perhaps more quiet? Yes. But if it were those things, would it be the same? No. My guess is going on a Saturday at 7pm is going to be a bit crowded, and loud. That's my fault, and testament to their quality. Next, I found the staff to be great! Even the doorman gave it character, cowboy hat and boots and all! Great experience!

Who doesn't love the idea of a speakeasy?? We decided to head to Roseville in pursuit of a secret place. We found the secret door, knocked, and a young man answered. He asked for the password. Unfortunately I am not on social media and that's where you're supposed to find it. Bummer! I decided to use my own password. It worked and we entered the inner sanctum. It was a cool, smallish place with nice decor. The bar was the first thing we saw. I looked around to see a few tables and couches to the left. It was pretty early and there were only a few people there so we got a cozy little table in front of a velvety couch. I went to the bar where a burly tattooed OG bartender greeted me. I ordered an old fashioned and a raspberry lemon drop. My old fashioned was done very well. I'm on an old fashioned kick right now and love to try them at different places that look like they know how to make them. This one was really good. My friend wasn't so keen on her lemon drop, saying the lavender was a bit overpowering. We had another round and this time she had something different that she enjoyed. My second old fashioned was just as good as the first. It was getting later and more people happened to have the password and it was getting crowded. We were done, paid the tab, which wasn't bad considering how most speakeasy's can be pretty pricy. Overall, it was a great experience, the place was nice, friendly, and the drinks were done well. Give it a shot. Find the password, or use your own if you dare!

The place was a lot better than the old one since it looks more spacious. It was not crowded for a Saturday night and that was really great. There's a few tables and seats downstairs but we preferred going upstairs and that's where we stayed. Only 2 of the 4 sofas/tables were occupied so that was really good. They play all kinds of music and I like the dj coz he knows what he's doing with mixing and playing good ones. However, the downside being upstairs is that noone or any of the staff will go there to ask for your order. You have to go down and get them yourself. Also, I noticed that they don't set rules for dress code anymore even though it says on the website. You see people with just shorts, shirts and sleepers and/or sandals on. So it was kind of a turn-off for me. They should require people dressed accordingly before they let them in. I don't mind to also pay an entrance fee ($10-15) This way they can preserve the place with class and elegance somehow. Just my thoughts.
