WOW- what a wonderful place! My wife and I decided to try it out. They had good reviews. We now know why. The first person we met was Franklin. We had no reservation and ask the tables were full. He said we could sit at the bar immediately, so we took him up on it. I asked about an old fashion and he said it was his favorite and a specialty of the place. He was right! Next we met Brett, the mixologist. My wife got a vodka cranberry and I got my old fashioned. I asked about the whiskey and he said it was Whistlepig 10 year. Next we asked Franklin about special dishes and he suggested the southern fried Mary's chicken with bacon gravy , which my wife ordered. I ordered the bacon fig jam burger with Brie cheese. Of course we had to have the pesto fries! Everything was 5 stars! We also met Q and Graham . Every single person we met was very friendly and welcoming. We also met Nate. Went at 6 ish on a Saturday and knew we'd have a wait. They told us 45 minutes to an hour and sent us a confirmation text that allowed us to track our progress on the list. Solid 4.5 stars -- locally popular smaller-sized restaurant/bar with date-night-esque comfort food but a uniquely casual and homey feel from all the staff! No reservations, so be prepared to wait in peak hours, either by putting your name down and coming back, or grabbing a drink and watching some sports on their large TVs. Came in strolling in as comfortable and casual as we normally do and fit right in. I found this spot on my phone when traversing around the holiday madness at the Roseville Galleria, loved all the things the prev menus had to offer. Fiance and I got here around 7pm on a Saturday night and it was super packed inside with people with drinks waiting to be seated! Franklin, the Spirits Master took our names down. He told us it would be a 45min-1hr wait ... to which we strongly considered going elsewhere. But he actually persuaded us to stay (hung out at the boba spot across the st) by saying the food was worth it--honestly (spoiler alert) it quite was. Got seated a little past an hour at a prime bar seat in front of the chefs cooking and Franklin attentively got us pesto fries on the house and our drinks right away for braving out the wait. All the staff around continually checked in on us and stopped to chat (but not in an annoying way), which is how I know some of their names! Multiple beers on tap and lots of interesting cocktails. Menu --- According to Brahm, changes quite frequently ~1-3mo depending on seasonality and vibe though the structure of types of proteins/starches offered stay similar (e.g. one fish dish, one pasta/starch, etc). Love this place! The vibe of a neighborhood joint with the menu and quality to rival any foodie destination. Go early and often as the place fills fast and the menu changes frequently. I had a vodka cocktail conceived and concocted that day with puréed berries and spices called "Christmas Deja Vu." I work in the area 3-5 times a year and we hit this spot once every time we are in town. Food is amazing and the bar is fantastic. That being said, it is becoming harder and harder to recommend. The people are nice, but there seems to be a locals slant to the service. I don't slight them for taking care of the regulars, but the last two times we have gone, the wait after we ordered has been 45 min to an hour. On top of the 20-30 min to be seated (have no problem with that), you can be pushing 90 min before you eat. It has been obvious both times that our table was not the priority, as a number of people at the bar and tables sat after us and were served before us. The first time we felt it was a fluke, after many great experiences prior. The second time it seemed calculated. No acknowledgement of the wait while tables around us that sat after us were served their food. We want to come back because even after the wait the food was tremendous, but the kitchen back up and service times are getting to be extreme. read more

While in the area, someone told me that this restaurant has great food and a menu Du jour. The ambience is intimate and unassuming. Our server explained the beer and cocktail menu right away. I tried their Farmers Light Beer, my wife had the Hawaiian Mule cocktail which she mentioned was refreshing. For our entrees, I had the Braised beef short rib Argentinian style. So tender and flavorful, dressed with a really good chimichurri sauce. The green beans and sweet polenta were also a perfect pairing. I waited two weeks after using TCT's internal feedback email on their website twice. I never heard back so I'm posting. Hopefully, this was a one off for them. Service and staff were very good. The cuisine, unfortunately, was the complete opposite. We almost never return plates, but we ended up unable to eat any of our four entrees-- filet and risotto over salted--pork chop dry and short rib fatty and too salty as well. I was so surprised and disappointed since I've never had a bad dinner there! The waiter confirmed our complaints and took entrees off. Then they placed comp'd desserts in to-go boxes for us. Very considerate! The problem was we discovered it was left over bread pudding from St. Patty's Day! I really hope we just got an off night, but I don't see us returning. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday and it was fairly busy. The interior of this place is a confusing train wreck. The kitchen and the bar are located in the center of what looks like two spaces that have been combined. This layout creates limited table seating on both sides and at counters facing the kitchen and the bar. Boxes of food, paper products and kitchen supplies are stored under the bar and in racks on both sides visible to customers. Although the place seems clean, the hodgepodge placement of supplies makes you feel like your sitting in a supply/store room. Service was excellent and friendly. The list of beers on tap was abundant as well as wines and a full service bar offering craft cocktails. The menu is an eclectic mix of pub/bar food and dishes you would expect to find in an upscale fine dining establishment. The food presentation and flavors were surprisingly good, but over the top. For example, a peanut butter and jelly, bacon, cheese burger, that is smothered in melted peanut butter and beer battered fries covered with pesto and Swiss cheese. There is no kids menu so we ordered my son a burger a plain burger which comes with no sides so that burger alone was $21 dollars not including my son's drink, which I know is 3 to 4 dollars. We ordered the pastrami, reuben eggrolls so delicious! I highly recommend them . We also ordered the Short Rib it was very good. I just felt like the pieces were not cut up so they were just on top of the pasta . We ordered a red velvet dessert that was really delicious. For our drinks, we got an old-fashioned that I know the liquor was a little bit better so it was $22 I got a "Tank Tini " for $18 . At the end of our dinner we all smelled a strong scent of marijuana in the room really strong . I could see the people at the bar and they were looking at us telling us it wasn't them . It was just a little awkward moment where everybody could smell it, but nobody knew where it was coming from. My honest opinion this place is overpriced for what you get . What I mean what you get is the ambience.. It feels more like a bar. You could definitely go to a different place. Been wanting to go to this place for awhile now and finally was able to try it! It is in a busy shopping center in Rocklin. When you walk in it looks very basic, nothing fancy. A bar and some tables. I ended up getting the peach bacon burger and a peach cocktail. Cocktail was very good but a little pricey. The burger and pickle was extremely flavorful. The peach added a perfect sweet and savory, bacon was crisp yet tender. Everything is a la carte. My friend got the risotto which she liked. Our servers, Archie and Brahm, were phenomenal. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without being pushy, and genuinely warm throughout the evening. They made us feel welcome and taken care of in every way. We started with the Pesto Fries, which were unreal--crispy, cheesy, and packed with fresh basil flavor. Total must-order. For entrees, we had the Pan Seared Scallops and the T.C.T. Peach Burger. The scallops were perfectly cooked with a beautiful sear, served over rich fried smash potatoes and a smoky cherry tomato beurre blanc that we could've eaten by the spoonful. The peach burger was such a fun surprise--grilled Twin Peaks peaches, applewood smoked bacon, and balsamic glaze gave it a sweet-savory balance that worked incredibly well. It's not your average burger, and that's a good thing. As for drinks, we tried two of the cocktails and loved both. Another great night meal!!. Is it slammed at dinner, yes, do they take reservations, no. If not there at opening, expect to wait a few. The menu changes often, so check before you go if there's something you like. We like sitting on the cooking side and interacting with chef as he cooks our dinner. I am sorry we waited so long. Our "official server" was Nicholas, but we were checked on and assisted by 4 other employees during our meal. We had pesto fries, beet salad, beef short rib, and mushroom pea risotto. And for dessert we had the bacon brownie with salted Carmel and Vanilla ice cream. Everything was excellent. Oh ya, I did not even mention all of the craft beers and signature well drinks. The restaurant is upscale, but casual at the same time. Overall all, we had a very nice evening to celebrate our anniversary. Nicholas and the rest of the staff were definitely worth every dollar and then some of the tip. What they do not mention tho is that it's about 10 minutes to take your order and about 45 min to bring your food! So you are sitting there for another hour with no food. Our waiter (Asian guy) and his teammate were super nice but..... when you have a kiddo with special needs - a 30 min wait for a table and 60min wait for the food is too long. The actual food was ok - my fried chicken was overdone and dry. My daughter loved her filet mignon and sauce. Not sure I would go back given the mediocre food and the 90 minute wait overall. Still one of the best dining experiences ever. Our server Nick was fantastic with his suggestions and service. We had the recommended specials. The mussels were OMG good.
