I have visited Bar 101 a few times over the years when visiting my grandma in Roseville. I have always been impressed by their food! The burgers here are incredible, the street tacos are scrumptious, and the kids' meals come with plentiful portions. I am such a sucker for a PB&J Burger. They make a great one here at Bar 101. There is a pretty good beer list here, and also a full bar for both cocktails and mocktails. They also sometimes offer live music- fun! The seating is great with plenty of indoor and outdoor options. Our waitress on this last visit was so friendly and made us feel welcome and comfortable with our two young boys. For old town Roseville restaurants, this one is certainly worth a try! Last time we visited here, she ordered the classic burger with a beyond patty, and I ordered the delicious peanut butter and jelly style burger with a beyond patty. From the second we walked in, the bartender/staff were so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating ... quickly putting tables together for our big group and making sure everyone was taken care of. The owners are also so friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole place feel even more inviting. We ordered a little bit of everything ... BLTs, chicken wings, fish tacos, ground beef tacos, a chicken Cobb salad, grilled cheese, macaroni bites and more -- and every single thing that came out was delicious. The food came out fast, hot, and fresh even with such a large group. The cocktails and mocktails were also sooo good! Their food is solid too - sandwiches and bar/finger foods with normal gastropub-style fare. Prices are a little bit on the higher side, but it's a downtown area in Roseville so it may be expected. Parking can be in the adjacent lot across the street - otherwise you may be looking for some of the narrow street parking in the side streets. Ambiance is great - they have trivia night, karaoke/music nights, and an area set up for live music. Overall, a great, friendly neighborhood bar with great class and character. Everything! I have loved going to Bar 101 since I moved to Main Street Plaza. They have a welcoming and amazing atmosphere. The staff? Easily some of the best people I have met in a long, long time. Our favorite was their fish & chips. soggy fish and soggy chips. Today, more squishy fishy. Fries were good. Tonight was terrible. Our order was for takeout. To make matters worse, I was feeling generous and tipped 20% for the bartender and 20% for the chef. Chef status doesn't apply anymore. This is a cool place located on the corner in Old Town Roseville. The outside has a large patio covered with trees and umbrellas with patio lights. There is a pool table inside. Staff at lunch appeared to be one waitress and one cook. We were seated promptly and service was decent. We had a large group with drinks and food for lunch. Decent beer selection and the Coconut cocktail was amazing. Fresh, cold, and fruity. We shared the fried pickles and the fried Mac bites. Both were delicious. I ate the Hangover burger it was also delicious. A lot of people rave about the fries. I have never been a fan of this style, but I think that is just my personal thing. I sat at the bar since it always seemed easier to get service and drinks. I ordered the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich with a salad. The chicken was juicy and it had a slight kick of spiciness which was good. I also wanted to try some of the tacos. I ordered the Pescado, Pollo Asado, and Carnitas Tacos. The tacos were good and I had plenty of food for lunch for the week. The tacos would be a great snack if you were not as hungry. Service was good and the bartender made sure I was hydrated and the drinks kept flowing. Been here a couple times and it was a good standard to get a burger, fish and chips, bar grub... that type of stuff. They have a nice outdoor patio area and a large interior, with live music at certain times. It's a popular restaurant. Soooo, we dropped in on St. Patty's day for lunch. The entire old town area was buzzing with revelers, which is awesome. We were seated outside, and our server came by to get our orders. But, then we waited and waited and waited....For an hour and 15 mins.... We watched other tables get seated, order, eat, and leave... still there we sat. Server only came back once to tell us 'our' order was in... In where? another state? I went in to speak with the manager, and she simply indicated the kitchen was backed up due to the volume of people. Yes, it's crowded, but yes it is also a huge dining/bar day, that they should have prepared full staffing for. And, why are others being served paid and gone...? Not happy at all. I've written 100s of reviews on yelp. Some were controversial to the point that I had to shut down my account because of my "honest opinions". I signed back on under a nom de plume so I won't have people showing up at my door with pitchforks and torches just cause I dissed a place they may love. Sorry. Regardless of what name I use, my humble opinions will always be honest as to the experience that myself and my wife had. If we agree or not, I will always let you know what I think and what she thinks. Last night we went to Bar 101 Eats & Drinks in Roseville. We both agree it was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. Our order was taken quickly. Then that was it. There were about 12 other people in the joint at this point. 25 minutes goes by and we haven't heard a word from our server. I stop another server and ask if he could check our order. Next thing I know is that he, and our original server are both bartending. After about 5 minutes he comes back and says that our order is next up. About 6 minutes goes by. That means we have been sitting there for about 40 minutes. The tip clock had run to zero. Finally our meals show up. Not with our original server, but from the guy. The food was decent, not great. We go to enjoy music, great food, and drinks. The menu isn't huge but they have a good variety. The beer selection and drink menu is good for a smaller place. We went again for our anniversary as we enjoyed it so much. again food and drinks were great as so was the service. luckily it was during the week so it wasn't as busy as i am on crutches and needed some extra space.
