Puff Tacos and Diablito Marg

Don Q's has been my go-to spot for over the last year! They have incredible drinks and food as well as staff and bartenders. I always have the best time and experience whether I'm alone or with some girlfriends! Their happy hour is hard to beat in the area with amazing drink prices and food options!

I always enjoy the food her, plus like that you can sit and have an employee take the order and serve your meals. Plus they have a bar! This latest visit was odd. Employee took the order, did not write anything down. Brought wrong items because he didn't write down our order! Also forgo one item completely, then when all said and done charged us regular prices on the forgotten item rather than the happy hour price. Very incompetent service and frustrating!

Stopped by for a late night dinner. I went through the wrong door as this is separate from their restaurant. The Cantina has a bar and from reading the menu, it looks like they have a really good happy hour. Too bad it was after hours, lol. Their chips and salsa were not only free, but it came with three dipping sauces: the traditional tomato salsa, a creamy cilantro sauce and my favorite the bean and cheese dip. The chicken quesadilla I ordered was classically delicious. I really appreciated their generosity on the sour cream that came with it! Add any of their salsa dips for different unique flavors. Overall a great spot to eat and I'll be back to try their happy hour.

I was looking for a place I had not been to before for dinner luckily I found this place on Yelp . This small Cantina is located on the side of Don Quinones grill which they are both owned by the same owner. The Cantina setting is more intimate with a nice elegant look to it. It has a bar and some siting area. The other side, which is the grill is more of a taqueria style . Inside it was very clean and organized . Clean restrooms . Everyone was super nice and attentive they made me feel very welcome my waiter was Julian and he was amazing . I ordered some drinks the Purple Diamond and an other drink that had coffee and a cinnamon stick on it . This drink was their version of an Espresso Martini. The food was very good with generous portions. Overall I had a great time here . The vibe and food was great . I will definitely be coming back soon .

4th visit August 2025: Arrived 4:30pm for happy hour menu (3pm - 6pm). Bambie and me ate and drank: shrimp cocktail, birria torta, street tacos, free chips and dips, Modelo Oscuro beer and Cadillac margarita. Ostensibly a cheap meal, but when you add up the bill it's really not a savings over ordering a regular priced combo plate. Problem: 2nd time this has happened and with the same server. He greets us friendly, seems adept. Takes our order without writing it. Bambie asks "You remember all that? He smiles and nods. And he screwed up 65% of the order. Brought out wrong items, forgot 2 of them. After we repeated our order he disappeared. Another employee took over our service. Then the bill was delivered with all the regular prices without the happy hour discounts. I love to eat here, the food can be delicious, but the service competence is low. Bambie prefers a sit down, order from an employee meal experience. That's not as important to me as the food quality. I think it's just easier to go to the other side of the wall and order from the cafeteria style restaurant. You get what you want, quickly. The food is just as good. And don't have to deal with a forgetful & neglectful waiter.

Love this spot for drinks and food but honestly return almost fully because the service and friendly staff make it an amazing experience every single time. If you want somewhere cute to sit at the bar on a date night or with friends, this is thee spot. Mady always has a big ol' smile on her face, continuously makes great recommendation, and is such a joy to chat with. Everything is clean, organized, well lit, great volume.

Do you want solid food for a great price? This is where to be. My mom and sister were visiting from Socal and on our way out to the airport we decided to get some eats. We showed up during Happy Hour and this is BY FAR the best deal I've ever come across. I forgot to take a picture of the menu, but there was a 3 taco, salad and alcoholic drink combo for $15. WHAT!? If you've ever been to Don Quixote's, it's literally the same exact food. Essentially Chipotle style but with much better ingredients. The real difference here from next door is that there are a few TVs and an extensive spirits menu at again, great/fair prices. The ambiance is a bit more upscale than next door. Service was a bit lacking, but I'll chock that up to some understaffing. Not going to hold anything back from this fine mom and pops owned establishment. Would definitely recommend!

Steak tacos with crispy shell

It was pretty empty when we arrived and only locals at the bar area. Greeted immediately by waitress and very helpful. She could have been more attentive to drink refills and chip refills. I got the steak tacos and so good. The refried beans were best around. Rice had great flavor also. Beyond stuffed and good please to eat. Very reasonable for prices.

Superior Cadillac Marg with chips and dip.

First time here, sat in the Cantina area as football was on. Bar area has two big tvs to watch the game. You are provided a bowl of chips, with salsa, avocado salsa and bean dip. Lane was very friendly and attentive. We had the superior Cadillac marg on the rocks. We each had a cup of pozle (delicious). We will be back.

Margarita, Paloma and complementary delicious chips and salsas.

You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the wrong place or about to make a mistake and put yourself into a sketchy place. We looked around for a more "realistic" entry way not knowing the most realistic entry way is one that looks like a back door to a closed vacuum or furniture storefront. That's exactly the point. You knock. Immediately, the door opens. A man in a cowboy hat looks you over. He doesn't wear a name tag. He doesn't need one. He asks, "You have something to say?" If you've done your homework, and say the right thing, the door stays open. You're in. I do not know what happens if you do not have the word. What follows is less a bar and more a pocket of time. The interior is small but well conceived. The bar sits directly at the entrance, flanked by a few standing guests and several small tables. Beyond that, the space opens up into a lounge with seating for six to eight, and a longer bench-style area for a dozen or so. The walls are dark, the lighting low. It's the kind of place that feels like it remembers what Prohibition was, even if most of us never lived it. It felt like walking onto a movie set where we might be extras, and the main characters would enter and play out a scene. It was a perfect example of a speak easy in full swing. Even the glassware was legitimate. The decor is intentional. Books tucked into corners. Stags mounted on the wall. Nothing feels store-bought or trendy. It's immersive without trying too hard. The seats were not overstuffed contemporary types nor were the tables or even foot stools. They all looked like they came from a speak easy back in the day. About the only thing that did not look like the real thing were the patrons, as they were dressed casually, and of course the iPhones. I suppose that would have caused quite a ruckus during prohibition! Conversations are constant, layered over each other and laughter. It gets loud, but not obnoxious. There's a rhythm to the space that holds. My suggestion is to not go at 7pm on a Saturday and hope to get a prized table, couch or seat. Now, to the drinks. House Divided serves anything you ask for, but they lean into the theme. Classic cocktails done right. Throwbacks with historical lean. Creative new entries like lavender martinis that aren't just gimmicks. Each drink feels made by someone who knows what they're doing and takes pride in the process. This is not vodka-soda speed bar territory. It's craft, and it shows. I did not see a bottle of ocean spray anywhere, but what I did see were large glass bottles labeled with the juice or concoction held within. The little details are obvious! If I were to translate my usual framework:    *   Ambiance and Service: 4 stars (it can get loud and if you are here to have a conversation it will be difficult)    *   Quality: 5 stars- I had a simple drink - vodka and cranberry. With something "special" that the tender added. I don't know what it was, but the taste was wonderful! Way different than my standard go to!    *   Value? That depends on whether you're measuring price per ounce, or the fact that you just got to walk through a green door into another world. But in reality, 5 stars. Do I wish for more seating? Yes. Perhaps more quiet? Yes. But if it were those things, would it be the same? No. My guess is going on a Saturday at 7pm is going to be a bit crowded, and loud. That's my fault, and testament to their quality. Next, I found the staff to be great! Even the doorman gave it character, cowboy hat and boots and all! Great experience!

Who doesn't love the idea of a speakeasy?? We decided to head to Roseville in pursuit of a secret place. We found the secret door, knocked, and a young man answered. He asked for the password. Unfortunately I am not on social media and that's where you're supposed to find it. Bummer! I decided to use my own password. It worked and we entered the inner sanctum. It was a cool, smallish place with nice decor. The bar was the first thing we saw. I looked around to see a few tables and couches to the left. It was pretty early and there were only a few people there so we got a cozy little table in front of a velvety couch. I went to the bar where a burly tattooed OG bartender greeted me. I ordered an old fashioned and a raspberry lemon drop. My old fashioned was done very well. I'm on an old fashioned kick right now and love to try them at different places that look like they know how to make them. This one was really good. My friend wasn't so keen on her lemon drop, saying the lavender was a bit overpowering. We had another round and this time she had something different that she enjoyed. My second old fashioned was just as good as the first. It was getting later and more people happened to have the password and it was getting crowded. We were done, paid the tab, which wasn't bad considering how most speakeasy's can be pretty pricy. Overall, it was a great experience, the place was nice, friendly, and the drinks were done well. Give it a shot. Find the password, or use your own if you dare!

You can imagine my happiness when I stumbled upon this bar/gaming room with the funny German sounding name when I realized it was a glorified pinball arcade room that also served beer. This place is straight amazing-50+ of the greatest pinball machines are available to play. They do use the "game-card" system to pay for these games, which can make playing these games way too easy-games tend to cost about $1 a game in game credits to play, which is far more than I paid when I was an 8 year old kid but then again, that was 45 years ago. They have a pretty solid beer selection-beers tend to go for anywhere between $7-$8 a beer-not too bad in my opinion.Though they do offer a pretty unique item called "Das Boot" which is a pretty large boot that cost $40 and comes with a fill up at time of purchase and 20% off on future fill ups-though not sure what the original cost of a fill up is exactly. One massive upgrade I've learned in the pinball world is nowadays you can download an app by Stern Inc,the majority manufacturer of most of the popular pinball machines and you can register your pinball play and it will keep tabs of everywhere u play and all the scores u achieved on the various pinball machines-I really enjoyed this feature-I only wish they had this when I was in my prime of pinball play when I was a youth. This place doesn't have the best hours but I'm sure there is a reason for these hours-M-F the hours are 5p-10p and on weekends they open at 12p... In closing-If you ever find yourself in the Rocklin area and you get a yearning to try out your pinball machine skills-I couldn't recommend this spot any higher as they are a very unique spot offering a truly awesome experience-a trip down memory lane for some and a whole new world for the younger generation-You should get out there and have some fun. PS-I failed to mention this place is very family friendly-on my particular visit the place was flooded with kids from elementary to high school age honing their pinball machine skills and enjoying every minute of it.

Games are very clean and in excellent playing condition. There's also Stern leaderboards visible along with their own leaderboards for solid state (older) games, which I've never seen anywhere else. The whole space is clean and welcoming. It's loud, but that's because it's a pinball spot. The staff are super friendly and provide great service. The mac n' cheese bites I had last week were freshly prepared (from scratch), cooked to order, piping hot, and totally delicious--and also under $10. The beers and ciders on tap are all mostly from small, local makers and under $10/pint. They also have plenty of NA drink options. If you're a pinball person, I dare you to find a more accommodating spot for playing and vibing out. If you're not a pinball person, this is a great place to fall in love with the game.
