I've been to this bar multiple times, and unfortunately the experience is consistently ruined by the BO smelling, bald bartender. This isn't a case of someone having an off day, every single time I've been here, he's had a rude, dismissive attitude and acts like customers are an inconvenience. Customer service should be a basic part of bartending, and friendliness goes a long way, but that has never been my experience with him. The atmosphere of the bar is great otherwise, but the service from this bartender makes me hesitate to come back. Management should seriously consider hiring bartenders who are welcoming, professional, and understand that treating customers with respect is part of the job. read more

Wanted to try a new spot for lunch and stumbled upon this place. Was a little nervous at first but this place knocked my socks off. The food was bomb. We ordered the squished potato and bacon cheeseburger and everything was delish. They even have free soup in the corner that was surprisingly very good. The server was kind and on it. Just a wonderful little place. I saw mention of their Taco Tuesdays somewhere and have wanted to check them out ever since. Finally got in last night and I wasn't disappointed. If you want "fancy", look elsewhere. This place is full of old-fashioned charm. If you're looking for "authentic" Mexican food, go find some somewhere else. If you like Jimboys Tacos and want something similar but definitely better, this is the place. They have black pepper sauce, jalapeno sauce, and red pepper sauce for your tacos. All are good, but mixed together, even better! The black pepper sauce was my favorite by itself, but all three are quite tasty. Jaci ("Jack-ee") is an utter delight. Wonderful to talk to and will give you honest answers to any of your questions. I got two tacos, a side of Firebox Beans. The beans came in a small jar, and at first I was disappointed with the quantity, but they pack quite the flavor punch, and by the time I was done with them, it seemed like just the perfect amount. I had the whiskey whipped bread pudding for dessert - dang good and probably enough to share if you're relatively full after your meal. LoRee herself came out to talk to me. Such a warm and sweet lady! She talked to me for several minutes and I felt very welcomed. They also have an extensive bar, and Jaci seems quite adept at mixing drinks, but I was on my way to work, so I'll have to sample those skills next time. A fully wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back, and recommend them to anyone who will listen. They're open till 2am for drinks, but the kitchen closes "around 9:30 or 10", but if you're getting food, get there by at least 9 (that's per me, not them, I'm sure if you arrive a little later, they'd still accommodate you, but be polite to the kitchen staff!) read more

Less than one star. The bald bouncer honestly has had nothing great ever happen in his life. What a miserable person. Within talking to him for one minute I was immediately questioning how he was employed here, considering this is a job working with the general public. I'm in love with the tacos and beans here! Yeah, Loree's is one of the best dive bars around that serves some amazing food! If I'm in the area, I'll stop in for their crispy tacos. It's so good and I'm addicted to them! It's ground beef and cheese, in a fried corn tortilla, garnished with shredded Iceberg. Served alongside with their homemade sauces. My favorite is the black pepper sauce, it's really good. I also love their Fire beans, it's soupy with a little kick and I can't stay away from it. We did order the BLAT sandwich too but we like the tacos more. I can't really comment about the drinks because I've only had an 805 here and usually stick to just drinking Coke. The place is huge, they have ample seating in the bar and there's a dining area that has lots of tables and a dance floor. I know they do have karaoke throughout the week which my girlfriends and I need to check out. Plus, plenty of seating outdoors too if you like. Now, you should be patient when you come in because the bartender takes care of the bar/dining area. Plus, there's only one cook and she's Amazing and Fast! Overall...Loree's is a gem tucked away in Old Rocklin. There is another Loree's in Orangevale that I need to check out next. read more

I was definitely questioning when I walked in but I was pleasantly surprised with the food, atmosphere, and staff. The staff were very friendly. It could have been that we came with a regular but they were friendly and accommodating (group of 7). Came for Taco Tuesday and they were truly amazing tacos. Like I said, pleasantly surprised. The fries, chips and salsa were decent as well. Gives the dive bar feel but glad I found this gem. It honestly might become a tradition for Tuesday. Highly recommend this local spot. read more

I like this funky place. It has all kinds of great paraphernalia (not the 420 kind) decorating the bar, walls, and seating area. It gives the place an old western honkey tonk feel. They have a huge selection of alcohol, beer, and wine. I ordered a beer, as always, and proceeded to carbonate myself. The atmosphere was laid back, the was crowd local, and the bartenders were pretty cool. I chatted with one for a while between customers. He told a little bit of the history of the bar. Don't ask me to repeat it. I was drinking and din't write anything down... Same reason my college grades are so poor. There were some couples sitting near me having a great time playing a table top game. Yes, they have games there. Food too! I didn't get a chance to sample the menu but it looked like your typical fried food bar fare. There was an area near the entrance for the smoking crowd, who show no signs of quitting, so hold your nose when walking in the front door. Have fun! read more

One of my previously favorite places to go i recommend them all the time reasonable prices and great food ! Today I was super disappointed I called to see if they still do taco Tuesday and they said they did but when I ordered to go because I'm on lunch from work they said they couldn't honor the to go order with the deal . I just don't see what difference it makes if I'm staying to eat or I'm taking it with me if that's what you're charging today that's what you should charge today . Unfortunately I doubt I'll be going back because of this experience. Good food, cheap drinks, and dusty decor. What more can you expect from a dive bar? This place has the best bathrooms in town they are what Pinecove used to be before some hipster decided to clean it up lol. It's a great place to go for Karaoke also. If you do order food be prepared for a wait there's usually only one guy cooking and he may or may not be drinking on the job. The food is good once it makes it to your table. Okay, so the Karaoke is great, the drinks are great, but the food is not good. I don't really know what I expected, it being a dive bar and all. I had a taco tonight and it was genuinely the worst taco I think I've ever had. It tasted like hamburger helper in a whole wheat tortilla with some warm lettuce. I've also had the grilled avocado and that was kind of a disaster because the avocado was very underripe, and would not scoop. They had mozzarella sticks but no marinara?! Instead it was salsa. No thank you. The only good food I've had from here was the bread pudding. P.S. Dee the DJ is lovely and always makes sure everybody is having a good time. read more

Loree's Little Shack is one of the friendliest sports bar restaurants in western Placer County! The bar is simply amazing, as it's GIGANTIC and stocks an endless array of every kind of liquor you can imagine. A wide variety of beer is on tap and in bottles, and you can order any drink of your choosing. When you visit Loree's Little Shack, located in Rocklin, CA, it's great to come for the booze and friendly atmosphere, but stay for the fine "diner cuisine," including the delicious tacos that Loree's menu advertises as "World Famous," and a favorite among the Rocklin/Roseville locals. The "official" name of the restaurant is Loree's Little Shack, but signage, both inside and outside, refer to the restaurant in a more elegant name as Loree's Little Shack By the Railroad Tracks Bar and Grill. As you enter the front door - there are three entrances to the restaurant - the first thing you'll notice is the long, well-stocked bar. When I mean "well-stocked" I'm not kidding, as I think this is bar contains the widest array of liquor that I've seen in western Placer County! Wait... there's more! The photo doesn't show the liquor storage area around the corner. Honestly, I don't think there's a drink in the world that Loree's can't produce. The second page of the menu starts with Loree's "Worlds Best!" tacos. Although there is a great selection of "pub grub" and "comfort food," and it all looked amazingly tempting, I had come in for the tacos, along with a side of "Firebox Beans," as I had heard about the goodness from many people I know. On the weekdays the menu is three pages, but on weekends, when breakfast is served, the menu expands to four pages. Click on THIS LINK to view all four pages of Loree's menu. I went with an order of two tacos and a side of "Firebox Beans." The menu describes the tacos as "Taco Day, every day, all day long: TACOS (World's Best!)" That's quite a strong statement! The menu really doesn't describe the tacos in any detail, but Placer County locals rave about them, and I've never met a taco that I didn't love, so I went with an order of Loree's "World's Best" tacos. Loree's offers only one variety of taco, and the meat filling is seasoned ground beef, and each taco contains a generous portion of the meat. Besides ground beef, each taco is filled with shredded cheese, along with cut up lettuce. The meat, cheese and lettuce is inside of a "super size" - not a "street taco size" - corn tortilla, and each tortilla is deep fried to a golden brown and dusted with a light coating of parmesan cheese, which sticks perfectly to the corn tortilla, and enhances the delicious flavor of the taco. Like the case with Loree's tacos, I had heard of their "Firebox Beans," which is a side you should definitely order with your tacos, or anything else. The menu labels them as "Lo Ree's 'Famous Firebox Beans,' pinto beans with special spices and herbs, not too spicy, just right!" Great description, as the "spice level" was perfect! The beans were served in a small mason jar, which adds a nice touch to the presentation. Yes, they're pinto beans, but they include lots of savory bean juice, spices, and a small amount of diced onions. I couldn't exactly determine what the spices were, but who cares, as the beans were delicious! Truly a great side dish to accompany anything, especially when you order a couple of tacos at Loree's Little Shack. This is definitely "north of the border" cuisine, but oh how delicious! ... and it's a favorite of the locals. It's not what you'll find at a Mexican restaurant, but when you go into a sports bar restaurant, like Loree's, the tacos, along with an order of "Firebox Beans," will put a smile on your face. Come for the beer, but stay for the tacos, the friendly atmosphere of a local sports bar, friendly customers, and some of the friendliest staff you'll ever meet! The menu is four pages, and breakfast is served on weekends. Loree's Little Shack, located in Rocklin, CA is a destination restaurant/sports bar for those who appreciate fine food, friendly staff, and good times. The "dive bar" atmosphere is priceless, the customers and staff are as friendly as it gets, the service is amazing, and the food is absolutely wonderful. Oh... did I say super reasonable prices? This is just the place I was looking for. I've lived in Rocklin for a little over two years now and needed a place to decompress on a Friday night. No BS just a beer and a pool table. First of all how cool and funky this place is- it's like grandma got to decorate one side and grandpa got to decorate the other. This is a fun little dive bar that also has coffee house vibes with traditional American food. I came here with some friends to attend an amateur comedy show, so fun!. There is a pool table for those that are interested and lots of places to sit if you are there to converse and catch up. The bar extends much of 'grandpas side' and includes a tequila bar that is pretty awesome selections. FOOD: we ordered the grilled avocado which is really a cheese dip inside an avocado served with fresh made chips- so melty and creamy. We also ordered the garlic mushrooms in butter- best to keep those energy vampires away while protecting your heart, was amazing the next day and dipping bread into. lastly, we go the wings, also really yummy.
