Wow! Fine dining at a sports bar style restaurant?! Who would've guessed LOCATION & DECOR: Nearly at the corner of lone tree and Blue oaks boulevard just down the way from the 65. Hot dog style sports bar with a menu fit for a fine dining experience. Close-ish to the galleria FOOD & DRINK: -Scallops Appetizer -Short Braised Rib -Peach Burger PRICE: $$ SWAG/AMENITIES: -Table Service -TV's -no reservation needed STAFF & EXPERIENCE: Nicholas the server was so incredibly knowledgeable. He spoke about the food as though he was the chef himself! This place is unsuspecting. Welcome to the sports bar with ratings that seemed to exceed its appearance on first glance. The place is clean and a bit noisy. it's just a different vibe than was expecting, but that food was cooked to perfection. And the service was top-notch

Went at 6 ish on a Saturday and knew we'd have a wait. They told us 45 minutes to an hour and sent us a confirmation text that allowed us to track our progress on the list. We ordered drinks, sat and had conversation while we waited. It was warm and cozy inside and the weather outside really was frightful so we weren't looking to leave. If we had come at 7, the wait would have been much shorter. Once seated at our favorite place, watching the chefs cook, we got an order of the amazing pesto fries...yum! And finally dinner, a pork chop and mushroom gnocchi. Another great experience at Chef's Table. We'll be back

Solid 4.5 stars -- locally popular smaller-sized restaurant/bar with date-night-esque comfort food but a uniquely casual and homey feel from all the staff! No reservations, so be prepared to wait in peak hours, either by putting your name down and coming back, or grabbing a drink and watching some sports on their large TVs. Came in strolling in as comfortable and casual as we normally do and fit right in. I found this spot on my phone when traversing around the holiday madness at the Roseville Galleria, loved all the things the prev menus had to offer. Fiance and I got here around 7pm on a Saturday night and it was super packed inside with people with drinks waiting to be seated! Franklin, the Spirits Master took our names down. He told us it would be a 45min-1hr wait ... to which we strongly considered going elsewhere. But he actually persuaded us to stay (hung out at the boba spot across the st) by saying the food was worth it--honestly (spoiler alert) it quite was. Got seated a little past an hour at a prime bar seat in front of the chefs cooking and Franklin attentively got us pesto fries on the house and our drinks right away for braving out the wait. All the staff around continually checked in on us and stopped to chat (but not in an annoying way), which is how I know some of their names! Multiple beers on tap and lots of interesting cocktails. Menu --- According to Brahm, changes quite frequently ~1-3mo depending on seasonality and vibe though the structure of types of proteins/starches offered stay similar (e.g. one fish dish, one pasta/starch, etc). Some signature items stay on permanently, which we were recommended for our first time: - Pesto Fries ($10, on the house for the wait): Really crispy thin-cut french fries covered in a soft confetti of swiss cheese and light pesto--really good esp if you are looking for something to hold you over before the main meal. It's like the best features of garlic fries at the ballpark but crispier and pesto. - Beef Short Rib ($20 side, added to Ricotta Gnocchi pasta at $36): Super rich and filling! Tender and flavorful fatty short rib with pillowy gnocchi covered in a cream sauce, side of mushrooms and diced zucchini. I finished it ALL. - Southern Mary's Fried Chicken ($28): A staple that never gets taken off the menu, brined in a 2-3d process and smothered in bacon white gravy, served with perfectly cooked carrots as well as mashed potatoes. My fiance really loved this one Drinks: - Hawaiian Mule ($16): I really liked this one esp because im a big fan of mules--this one was more refreshing and sweeter with pineapple juice and mint! - Apple Whiskey Smash: My fiance got this seasonal one on the board--tastes like a yummy apple cider cocktail ... he really likes his apple juice. Overall we really enjoyed our experience here if you are prepared for the wait. Both of us loved all the upscale comfort food and cocktails on the menu; it's rare to get such homey and attentive service from restaurants from all the staff. (Bonus points now that im lurking around their restaurant website, all the staff have really funny website bios lol)

Love this place! The vibe of a neighborhood joint with the menu and quality to rival any foodie destination. Go early and often as the place fills fast and the menu changes frequently. I had a vodka cocktail conceived and concocted that day with puréed berries and spices called "Christmas Deja Vu." We shared a mushroom tart and stuffed avocado to start and followed with scrumptious stroganoff--meat so tender you could cut it with a spoon! I really wish it wasn't off of Hwy 65, but it was worth it!

Whenever we are looking for a tasty meal and a good cocktail we go to The Chef's Table. It can be a busy place but the staff are very friendly and you can order a drink while you are waiting for a table (if you have to wait). We like to order the shareables because there are so many good options to choose from. If you have any questions they are always helpful. The staff at the bar make amazing drinks and the food comes out pretty quickly.

Came here for an early dinner, but they changed their menu so there is a very limited menu for "happy hour" up until 4:30pm. I love the idea, but just wish there were a few more options. We got one of everything and the pesto fries stole the show!!! Drinks are $2 off during happy hour.

Came for an early dinner on the weekend with the family. All the wait staff were very friendly and attentive. Restaurant started filling up quickly shortly after we were seated. Table seating is limited and surrounds a double sided bar. Ordered the: Pesto fries - thin fries, pesto, basil and cheese, what's not to like! Beet Salad - fresh, sliced thin and plated with arugula. wife enjoyed the flavor. Kids grilled cheese - kiddo was a big fan of the bread Mary's fried chicken - Short Ribs - was a take on Korean flavors with the sauce. Pickled veggies and mashed potatoes went well with the short rib. Shishito peppers were a nice punch. Filet Mignon - cooked exactly as ordered. this one had a peach mustrada my wife really enjoyed. Squash Risotto - Mother really enjoyed the flavor of this dish. Everything was cooked extremely well. A solid choice for the area.

I work in the area 3-5 times a year and we hit this spot once every time we are in town. Food is amazing and the bar is fantastic. That being said, it is becoming harder and harder to recommend. The people are nice, but there seems to be a locals slant to the service. I don't slight them for taking care of the regulars, but the last two times we have gone, the wait after we ordered has been 45 min to an hour. On top of the 20-30 min to be seated (have no problem with that), you can be pushing 90 min before you eat. It has been obvious both times that our table was not the priority, as a number of people at the bar and tables sat after us and were served before us. The first time we felt it was a fluke, after many great experiences prior. The second time it seemed calculated. No acknowledgement of the wait while tables around us that sat after us were served their food. We want to come back because even after the wait the food was tremendous, but the kitchen back up and service times are getting to be extreme.

While in the area, someone told me that this restaurant has great food and a menu Du jour. The ambience is intimate and unassuming. Our server explained the beer and cocktail menu right away. I tried their Farmers Light Beer, my wife had the Hawaiian Mule cocktail which she mentioned was refreshing. For our entrees, I had the Braised beef short rib Argentinian style. So tender and flavorful, dressed with a really good chimichurri sauce. The green beans and sweet polenta were also a perfect pairing. My wife had the Alaskan Halibut which she mentioned was flaky, pan seared accompanied by a cauliflower puree. We were satisfied with the meal portions. The servers were wonderful and attentive; they all took turns in checking on us. I would definitely return next time I'm in the area

This is my favorite restaurant in town. The crew knows me by name and they know my order by heart. They produced a consistent and fantastic product and they really do their best to be attentive to everyone. I'm grateful I live so close now that I can frequent this establishment so often! There isn't anything on the menu I haven't tried and there isn't anything on the menu I haven't enjoyed. Beef, short rib, and panag curry on top of the top.

Great neighborhood location. Great friendly upbeat vibe. Everyone is friendly. They are a team and help each other out. There is no reservations. Go early. They are popular. Drinks are fantastic and the food is rotated seasonally with staples left on the menu. It's an experience. Be patient and just relax and enjoy yourself. My favorites are: pastrami rolls, pesto fries, Caesar salad add chicken. Mary's southern fried chicken, simple charcuterie is perfect and tasty, the burgers, yes! The French Dip All the Risotto's are yummy and special seasonal dishes. Do not forget the bacon brownie dessert. Best Martinis in town! Espresso martini is special too! They know how to make a drink and take the time to make them. Great beer and wine selection Worth the wait.

Local farm to table restaurant, small town feel with a limited amount of tables. Long wait times during weekend dinner rush, waited a little over an hour for a two top table. The service was wonderful, fast and efficient without rushing. The egg rolls were delicious, the sauce was amazing! I really enjoyed the burger with a huge pickle! The chicken mushroom risotto was okay, wouldn't order again. Looking forward to trying more things on the menu!

Is there gluten free menu items?

I did not see any items marked as GF on the menu. I think it would be best to ask the server. They are very nice. I was told that their menu changes weekly, due to seasonal ingredients.

Are there a few gluten free options reliably available as the menu rotates?

Indeed, always, but we bake and make pasta where we cook, and while we can well, we can’t promise no cross contamination in regards to flour if you have other questions feel free to reach out, Erick, 9167166072

    Do they take Togo orders?

    Yes

Are the oyster shooters can oyster?

    Everything here is fresh.

Are there kid options? Like plain burger and fries or something plain?

I don't believe there are kid options and I do know they have a set menu that you might want to check on their website... The food and customer service is outstanding it's a must if you haven't been there before!

Do they still have happy hour? If yes, what time?

Does anyone know if they are open for Dine-in eating?

What is on the regular dessert menu? Thanks.

The only regular dessert menu item we have is our bacon brownie sundae. We always have some kind of bread pudding but that is always changing and then the third dessert item is always changing as well! Thank you for the question!

Is the website menu updated daily?

Menu is different all the time..makes it fun and exciting when you never know what they will be serving:)

I see that dinner reservations are hard to get. What are the chances of snagging a table on a weeknight as a walk-in. Do you do 100% reservation, or are there some tables reserved for walk-ins?

The best thing to do always is if you don’t see anything online give us a call at 916-771-5656, thanks!

Do they have any vegetarian options?

We always have at least one vegetarian option, but can accommodate any dietary restrictions, thanks!

I was there Saturday and had an amazing Sauvignon Blanc...I can't remember for the life of me what it is called. It was "something" Venus....does anyone know?

    Was it Chasing Venus?

    How much is corkage fee?

    $15, thanks!

Can you order from the dinner menu during lunch?

Unfortunately no, just the lunch menu!

    Are kids allowed?

Yes of course kids are allowed! We do not have a children’s menu but can accommodate children. Thank you for the question!

Is there a Happy Hour menu?

All beers are $2 off during happy hour.

You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the wrong place or about to make a mistake and put yourself into a sketchy place. We looked around for a more "realistic" entry way not knowing the most realistic entry way is one that looks like a back door to a closed vacuum or furniture storefront. That's exactly the point. You knock. Immediately, the door opens. A man in a cowboy hat looks you over. He doesn't wear a name tag. He doesn't need one. He asks, "You have something to say?" If you've done your homework, and say the right thing, the door stays open. You're in. I do not know what happens if you do not have the word. What follows is less a bar and more a pocket of time. The interior is small but well conceived. The bar sits directly at the entrance, flanked by a few standing guests and several small tables. Beyond that, the space opens up into a lounge with seating for six to eight, and a longer bench-style area for a dozen or so. The walls are dark, the lighting low. It's the kind of place that feels like it remembers what Prohibition was, even if most of us never lived it. It felt like walking onto a movie set where we might be extras, and the main characters would enter and play out a scene. It was a perfect example of a speak easy in full swing. Even the glassware was legitimate. The decor is intentional. Books tucked into corners. Stags mounted on the wall. Nothing feels store-bought or trendy. It's immersive without trying too hard. The seats were not overstuffed contemporary types nor were the tables or even foot stools. They all looked like they came from a speak easy back in the day. About the only thing that did not look like the real thing were the patrons, as they were dressed casually, and of course the iPhones. I suppose that would have caused quite a ruckus during prohibition! Conversations are constant, layered over each other and laughter. It gets loud, but not obnoxious. There's a rhythm to the space that holds. My suggestion is to not go at 7pm on a Saturday and hope to get a prized table, couch or seat. Now, to the drinks. House Divided serves anything you ask for, but they lean into the theme. Classic cocktails done right. Throwbacks with historical lean. Creative new entries like lavender martinis that aren't just gimmicks. Each drink feels made by someone who knows what they're doing and takes pride in the process. This is not vodka-soda speed bar territory. It's craft, and it shows. I did not see a bottle of ocean spray anywhere, but what I did see were large glass bottles labeled with the juice or concoction held within. The little details are obvious! If I were to translate my usual framework:    *   Ambiance and Service: 4 stars (it can get loud and if you are here to have a conversation it will be difficult)    *   Quality: 5 stars- I had a simple drink - vodka and cranberry. With something "special" that the tender added. I don't know what it was, but the taste was wonderful! Way different than my standard go to!    *   Value? That depends on whether you're measuring price per ounce, or the fact that you just got to walk through a green door into another world. But in reality, 5 stars. Do I wish for more seating? Yes. Perhaps more quiet? Yes. But if it were those things, would it be the same? No. My guess is going on a Saturday at 7pm is going to be a bit crowded, and loud. That's my fault, and testament to their quality. Next, I found the staff to be great! Even the doorman gave it character, cowboy hat and boots and all! Great experience!

Unfortunately I am not on social media and that's where you're supposed to find it. Bummer! I decided to use my own password. It worked and we entered the inner sanctum. It was a cool, smallish place with nice decor. The bar was the first thing we saw. I looked around to see a few tables and couches to the left. It was pretty early and there were only a few people there so we got a cozy little table in front of a velvety couch. I went to the bar where a burly tattooed OG bartender greeted me. I ordered an old fashioned and a raspberry lemon drop. My old fashioned was done very well. I'm on an old fashioned kick right now and love to try them at different places that look like they know how to make them. This one was really good. My friend wasn't so keen on her lemon drop, saying the lavender was a bit overpowering. We had another round and this time she had something different that she enjoyed. My second old fashioned was just as good as the first. It was getting later and more people happened to have the password and it was getting crowded. We were done, paid the tab, which wasn't bad considering how most speakeasy's can be pretty pricy. Overall, it was a great experience, the place was nice, friendly, and the drinks were done well.
