5 Stars -- Oak Leaf Cafe The Oak Leaf Cafe recently opened in our Del Webb community, so after finishing our morning walk, we hopped in the golf cart and decided it was time to see what all the positive reviews were about. I'm happy to report--they were right! I ordered the Spicy Linguica Skillet, loaded with linguica, jalapeños, cheese, and potatoes. I asked for my eggs sunny-side up and placed right on top. It was delicious! The spice level was just right, everything was perfectly prepared, and I worked my way around the plate with some excellent sourdough toast and jelly. Since it was our first visit, I felt obligated to conduct a little additional "research," so I added a pancake on the side. Perfect. Light, fluffy, and cooked just right. My wife went the more traditional route with scrambled eggs and bacon, along with biscuits and gravy. She's not one to venture too far outside the breakfast box--which works out very well for me. When she left an extra biscuit and some gravy hanging out on the side of her plate, I did what any good husband would do: I made sure it didn't go to waste. The portions were generous, and I left completely satisfied. Thanks to my wife, I also managed to sample a pretty good portion of the breakfast menu on our first visit! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was excellent. Our waitress, Kimi, had a smile on her face the entire time, checked on us regularly, and genuinely added to the experience. Customer service is a must in today's competitive restaurant world, and Kimi passed with high marks. If you're looking for a solid breakfast, friendly service, good portions, and a great neighborhood atmosphere, Oak Leaf Cafe hits the target. We'll definitely be back--and next time, my wife may want to keep a closer eye on her biscuits and gravy. read more

A new cozy cafe for breakfast or lunch has come to the 'hood'. A friend and I decided to try it out for some coffee and a late breakfast. Parking was easy although the lot does fill up with the number of businesses now open in this strip mall. Just be patient and search around, and be aware other drivers aren't as patient and the lot can be tricky to navigate. A restaurant establishment has been in the works here for a couple of years with a good number of rumors on social media. It's nice to see something finally open. The space is larger than I anticipated and much nicer in decor than a typical cafe. There are lots of booths, counter seating and other options. We got a booth. The menu is extensive enough for both meals, breakfast or lunch, and I presume anything can be ordered at any time. There's a good variety of options. Coffee was brought right away and they have lowered the price from the menu price of $5.25 (yikes!) to $4.25 and did not charge for a refill. I ordered a Classic Avacado Toast which comes with cherry tomatoes and with two eggs, my choice of 'over easy'. My friend had the California Avacado Toast which is the same as the Classic with bacon and his eggs 'sunnyside up'. I have never had avacado toast with eggs on top but it was quite good. Overall the meal was delicious. I didn't want a 'side' that's included. My friend had the potatoes that looked well prepared and plentiful. Service was very friendly and attentive. I will go back and perhaps try a lunch next time. The burgers I saw looked very appealing. read more

Cute spot for a breakfast or brunch for sure!!! I came in pretty early so I got their early breakfast deal of steak and eggs for I want to say $13.99. It was a decent portion and everything was well cooked. Service was attentive and great. Definitely would come back if I'm in the area! read more

We have been three times and have always enjoyed our food. The waitstaff is attentive and patient. The menu has many choices and everything we have ordered has been delicious. Nice spacious interior. My partner and I stopped in, 2 days ago, for a late breakfast. We will be back! On the plus side, I had the best avocado toast w/ 2 eggs over easy, bacon and balsamic drizzle. Heaven! (In spite of the cold eggs). And for those of us for whom it matters, gluten free bread is available, as is sourdough. The decor is clean, sleek, not fussy. Service was friendly and timely. On the down side. I find this to be true of, literally, EVERY restaurant (neighborhood and upscale) I have been in lately. You need your winter parka to be comfortable. When I order eggs I expect them to be served hot. That never happens. By the time they get to me they are , literally, cold. You can't reheat eggs, no sense sending them back. So I have to overlook the cold eggs. Using plate covers could help a lot. read more

This week my husband and I enjoyed a wonderful brunch at the Oak Leaf Café while waiting for our bikes to be repaired at Monster Joes. As you walk into the restaurant you are greeted warmly and asked whether you want a table or booth. They have outdoor seating too, but it was too hot to sit outside. The restaurant layout is very inviting and clean. We ordered a Belgian Waffle with berries and Avocado toast with poached eggs and a balsamic vinegar drizzle. Both meals were excellent. We will be returning to the Oak Leaf Café soon! read more

This place is new, has a extensive menu and the food is fab. Want it to succeed. A few things need fixing : Get your employees a TOASTER that actually works, put up a mirror in the bathroom and fix the lock on bathroom door! I would suggest (as you spent a TON of $$ on this place...have "suggestion cards" on all the tables for now...seriously...this is a Sun City community and we WANT you to make it. I was reading the menu and it's a chicken fajita omelette but keep reading what's in it and at the bottom it says substitute for steak for an up charge oh boy I'm glad I did that it was so good. The funny thing was the waitress told me they only have chicken fajita omelette cake for an up charge it does. Well the restaurant is new and I'm sure she is but I tell you what that steak fajita omelette if you haven't tried it you should. I only ate half of it took the other half home for dinner yummy yummy in my tummy tummy. Nice selection of breakfast and lunch entrees, as well as appetizers and salads. The restaurant itself is roomy, with plenty of comfortable seating, that is, unless you are seated in the far back to the right of the entrance, which is near the kitchen and super noisy. We asked our server to move us, and she did without even hesitating and was sincere in her apology about the noise (which was out of her control). We were reseated on the other side of the restaurant, which was comfortable, much less noisy, and had a couple of big screen TVs playing. There was also classic rock music playing at a pleasant level in the background. Our servicer, Jocelyn, was friendly, attentive, and very quick. She chatted us up when she had a free moment and really redeemed the shaky beginning. The food was very good. I had a California Club with onion rings, and my husband had the French dip with seasoned fries. Both were nice-sized portions and hit the spot for lunch. My husband said that although his sandwich was a little bland/lack of seasoning, it was definitely edible and wouldn't keep him from coming back to try something else. My sandwich was huge (I ended up taking half home), there was lots of meat, and the bread was toasted perfectly. The fries and onion rings were both really good, crunchy but not overcooked. We found this place because of other Yelp reviews and are glad we did. We recommend it and will be going back. read more

What a great surprise although I have heard the granite Bay location is excellent. I was a little weary because I believe this was the second day open. Wow what a pleasant surprise. My wife and I went in for lunch approximately 12 30 There were a few open tables but almost full. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with french fries crispy and my wife had the appetizer sliders. The food was delicious came out quickly came out hot and in the French fries were some of the best they were truly crispy and delicious. My Reuben was excellent corned beef was delicious and the Russian dressing I bet with homemade or should I say Restaurant made my wife three sliders on the appetite menu were excellent. As as I said, it was only their second day you should couldn't tell the servers who were very attentive and friendly. Very high marks really high,,, considering it was the second day. Is a little bit on the pricey side, but well worth it. Best of luck can't wait to try their breakfast. read more
