I'm giving the restaurant a five star rating because it has been a great place for a very good breakfast. The food is always delicious. I had a little mishap with my hash browns but the waitress was so helpful and brought me out fruit instead when I asked for it. The service is always awesome. I love the atmosphere and the architecture of the place. There's plenty of seating and a small wait because it gets its regulars. It's definitely a "home cooked" meal without cooking at home. Always love to come back.

Medium well was medium rare and cold in the middle...what a Father's Day breakfast...I'm frkn hungry....

1st of all, Food of my daughter and wife was on Pointe!!! Very good on their pancakes and waffles. Service was good. Our server was very accommodating and caring for my order especially on Father's Day. The ambience was perfect. But I gave a 3 start to the lack of knowledge of the cooks. Ordered Medium steak and eggs at first and then got well done. Then the server acknowledged my order and agreed that my steak wasn't medium , so she returned with a medium rare which the pink in the middle was not medium and was COLD ....WHAT KIND OF COOKS DOES THIS. So had to leave a 3 star cause I was very upset and disappointed for my father's day breakfast. Will I come back??? We'll see after I have eaten my western Cheese burger later that was supposedly compensated for my steak. Which was not refunded for the steak but the cheeseburger to go was accommodated for the steak...

Excellent orange juice and Canadian maple syrup available! Both breakfast and lunch fare available. On the corner in the main downtown of Lincoln where Awful Annies used to be. Good option for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Open at 7 am. Closed at 2 pm.

The waffles are delicious along with their breakfast sausages! The ambiance is charming and cozy. But having dry biscuits and gravy, undercooked hash browns, and mediocre service knock the experience down a little. The weekly special that peaked my interest was the raspberries and cream waffle. Very yummy and not overbearingly sweet!

(Review from daughter) My partner and I enjoyed this spot. While we did not get the waffle, our dishes were still delicious. It's the first time I've had chilaquiles and it was amazing. At first I was reluctant to have feta cheese on it (because I prefer cotija cheese) but it was still delicious. Both cheeses are good. The cilantro also added a nice fresh flavor. As for the eggs, I didn't finish them. I love sunny side up eggs but I felt like the two different flavors didn't go together. I STILL ENJOYED MY MEAL. My partner enjoyed his omelette as well. I'm not too sure what was in his omelette (though the menu does describe what's inside). It was very packed, even on a Thursday. The wait wasn't that long, maybe 5-15 minutes. Service was nice, everyone was kind even with the stress of a packed restaurant. It was also a very cute restaurant. Small and cute. I would definitely go back again... especially for the chilaquiles.

his spot really does breakfast right. The food was amazing. Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. We came for brunch and were not disappointed one bit on that front. That said, be prepared for a wait. They're only open from 7 to 2, and it was packed. We were told 15 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 40, and we stood outside in the rain the whole time. The restaurant itself is quaint and the deals were good despite the $0.50 per egg increase during our egg shortage.

Corned beef and hash, with two eggs and crispy hash browns. Mimosas.

Great vibe to this place. My friend and I came here for brunch for the first time and we LOVED it! The food is great, the staff is SO friendly, and the place is lit. So many families. Parking is hard to find!

We often go on the weekends. This has become one of our local favorite places. The weight is generally very short if at all. The food is great. The service is wonderful. Always a lot of happy local people. Just enjoying visiting and a good breakfast. I highly recommend it.

The food was so gooood, I had chilaquiles, the staff was accommodating and answer all of our questions, made substitutions on certain ingredients for my kids. The "eggspensive" on my bill took me for surprise, I wish it was included as part of my meal. No need to be reminded of our economy, we get it. Aside from that will definitely be back to try a different dish.

Are the waffles Belgian or crispy (I'm hoping crispy, flat..)?

Our waffles are Belgian. So a little on the thicker side, but they can be prepared crispy.

Whereas the flavors were fairly mild, it was still comforting and certainly good. The pasta trio was palatable overall, with each pasta having its own distinct flavor. My top favorite was the Meat Lasagna; super flavorful and cheesy. The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo needed a little more sauce. I requested extra Alfredo sauce, which helped to make it more enjoyable. The server was friendly and professional. The atmosphere of the restaurant was vibrant and charming. Overall, Tomatina provided a dining experience that met standards by serving Italian food. We're not even checked out yet and we've had quite a bit of issues. The rooms are very spacious and nice, but please keep in mind if you are staying longer than a day then I don't think this place is the right fit for you. This place would probably be better for just an overnight stay because it's definitely not the comfort inn suites. The room does not include a microwave, they charge you an extra $10 to bring up a microwave to your room, and then an extra $10 a night that it stays in the room, which is ridiculous so cold food for the week for us. We have already spent over $700 just for the stay in general on top of that, they do not mention that you have to pay an extra hundred to 140 for another holding deposit after u check in. We had to cover three of our friends deposits that day because they had no idea since they already paid their half of the portion or I think they had already paid and most of my friends weren't getting paid until two or three days later so we had to lose a lot of our money that way to cover them. Valet parking was a bit of a mess. Was told that they need my ID and my insurance card and for my name to be on the insurance as well as the car. Which I understand, but as of right now, I am sharing my mom's car until I find a new car so it just was a whole process of that being inconvenient on top of just trying to get our stuff up to the rooms. Our ticket was also misplaced and taken and disposed of so that took an extra 1020 minutes for us to figure out how that happened because one of the new people accidentally took it with them when we were supposed to have it so we didn't get our stuff for awhile on top of the car. Birthday dinner at thunder Café was a bit of a mess TBH. Had to send my Alfredo back because there was no sauce on it, the chicken itself was dry and cold and not cooked all the way. On top of that do not spend $20 on the pasta because they will just give you two scoops of it and leave the rest of the bowl empty. I chose to get the pizza after that, which was fine. I took it to go since everybody was done with their food. Four of us ended up getting sick from the food there mind you I probably had a total of 10 people with me. So the next day a lot of my friends were throwing up in the toilet or stayed in the room all day due to not feeling good from the food. We were also supposed to use the pool to swim for a couple hours. Only to be told that whoever needs to use the pole needs to have ID and has to be specifically staying with us. No outside guest, even if it is for a birthday thing for a couple hours, which was very inconvenient on 103 day. We definitely should've booked somewhere at the comfort inn suites but my fiancé thought it would be nice to do something different and it definitely was the wrong decision. This place obviously just wants money on top of money and wants to make it inconvenient for u by not telling u everything before u check in and after, so I would not waste your time here. Looking forward to leaving tomorrow and not coming back. I wish we could get a refund off of this place considering how much we have spent and dealt with. On top of no cold water here in the bathroom sinks it's only steaming hot water when u wash ur hands or brush ur teeth. Not fun.

We tried this spot out for the first time this morning after driving by it for years. The Owner's Yelp business description states they "specialize in breakfast", which sounded awesome. Reviews and photos looked so promising. Our experience was nothing like what others have shared though :( The space is nice and spacious, with an old school vibe which we liked, and we were so hopeful upon entering for the first time. Service was polite enough...but felt insincere and disinterested in taking good care of the customer. The one employee who I felt actually cared was the hostess, but the waitstaff seem to just be going through the motions. We shared it was our first time coming and we were excited to treat ourselves to a rare breakfast out. We needed a few extra minutes to study the menu since it was our first visit, but then we got forgotten about. I attempted to catch the waitresses attention numerous times with no success. After waiting about ten minutes longer than was reasonable, I did seek out the hostess's help in tracking down someone who could take our order. She was super apologetic, but of course it wasn't her job as she was busy seating people and handling her own tasks. The biggest disappointment was the food - in looking back at the photos the French toast we ordered looked nothing like the photos - first, when I asked what the difference between the 1/2 and full order was we were told it was 4 slices vs. 6 slices. That definitely seemed to justify the price so we ordered a half order for my young boy and I to share. What came out was shockingly different - it was two tiny slices of bread that looked like the inexpensive sliced grocery store bread. Because it was already small thinly sliced bread before being cooked, it was truly tiny once plated. We were honestly surprised they felt comfortable serving it. Maybe they ran out of their thick large French toast bread? No matter, they certainly shouldn't have served what we received though. It was confusing and embarrassing, IMO. So, we were misinformed that it was a 4 slice portion when it was 2 small thin slices of bread cut in half...that is not 4 slices of French toast. And then the waitress didn't come around our entire meal so I couldn't inquire about it until we were done. I ended up giving the French toast to my boy who ate it all in under 120 seconds, no joke (because there wasn't much to eat) and then he said he was still hungry. I, too, was quite hungry. Other family members agreed that the taste was good, but nothing special, and the servings did not match the high prices. So, the food was tasty enough but the portions were unreasonably small and do not justify the price, the service lacks greatly, and the misinformation was truly disappointing and misleading. When I did politely ask at the end about why she said it was 4 slices vs. 6 slices the waitress backpedaled stating she meant it was 4 halves vs. 6 halves...and then she apologized that we were leaving hungry and offered me a biscuit. ??? Why would I want a biscuit? I just wanted the meal the waitress told me I was ordering. I wanted what some previous customers have shared in their photos here. The French toast in the photos here on Yelp looks legit and exactly what we wanted and expected...again, so odd the kitchen staff felt comfortable plating up the order we received. Zero quality control there. Honestly, it was just a weird and disappointing experience that had us leaving hungry and unsatisfied, so we went home and prepared a meal there. We are super chill people with realistic expectations, so for us to struggle with this first experience says a lot about how subpar it was. The price of a soft drink is unreasonable as well ($5) - which isn't a huge deal, but with the disappointing food it was just the icing on the cake. A large cup is served but it's completely filled with ice. When asked if we wanted a refill she brought a small cup over with 85% ice and some soda, using that small cup to refill the large cup...splashing soda all over the table and then having to use her dirty damp rag shoved in her apron pocket to clean it up around our food plates, which was definitely unsanitary and made us cringe. There were customers there though - not sure if they were first-timers like us due to the new Farmers Market, but maybe they do have a repeat clientele so none of this matters to them because they can keep their doors open without new customers like us. Sad to try a local business we were excited about and then have this disappointing experience. We envisioned making trips to the new Farmers Market across the street often and then enjoying a wonderful breakfast afterwards, as a nice new Saturday morning tradition. Sadly we will not be returning to this restaurant.
