I'm the weirdo that went to Waffle Barn and got a Cobb salad w/ blue cheese dressing. It was great! Service was super fast and cheerful.

First time here. Lots and lots of parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Very pleasant walking into this restaurant. Clean. Cute decorations. Family Friendly. Casual attire perfect! Employees were attentive and very friendly. Food didn't take long to get to our table. :) Nice wholesome breakfast. It was yummy! We love it here and we will definitely return again.

Combo number one with strawberries and whipped cream and a combo number four with peanut butter and chocolate chips.

A classic breakfast sounded good at the time... From the breakfast menu I chose the Juke Box Special but the friendly server suggested the Soldier Boy instead which was basically the same thing except this included grilled potatoes and only one pancake. The server urged me to try the potatoes... omgosh! it was so good, they were grilled and I love the crunchiness. Nothing fancy on the menu just good, ole' classic home cookin' and diner "comfort food." Breakfast is served all day. I'm not a fan of onions, so I did not have those, but it was nice to have the lettuce and the tomatoes have that nice taste when it hasn't been smothered in BBQ sauce or others as it's being cooked by the chicken like other places prepare them. There was lots of parking right in front of the restaurant that made getting inside super convenient. There was plenty of room for us to sit at a large table with our babies in high chairs & strollers nearby. Inside the cafe is decorated very nicely. The staff were so kind and welcoming too. I ordered a mocha and the sweet cheese crepes. My mocha was the perfect balance of sweetness and chocolatey! I savored every sip. The real star of the show though, were the crepes. They were perfectly soft but with a slight crisp on the outside just like I like them. The filling was sweet but not overly and was well balanced with the slight bitterness from the berry topping on the crepes. Overall the ambiance, food, and accessibility make this a great spot for brunch! Will definitely be coming back.

There is also a side area to eat, however there were a number of flies buzzing around, which made it unappetizing (this was kept my review from being a full five stars). The indoor area is a mix of dark woods and faux plants, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. As for the food, there was only one plant-based (vegan friendly) option for me: the cilantro lime avocado toast. This came topped with micro greens and pickled onions, and with a side of potatoes. The portions were very generous for the price and the food was delicious. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and the staff were kind. I also ordered an Americano that was good. This spot is like a little hidden green jewel in Citrus Heights. I hope more businesses fill out this complex so they can continue to do well.

It's not the biggest burrito but not the smallest either. To be honest, I was a little turned off at first. Not because it was in a gas station (that actually gives me higher expectations), but because I asked for the burrito and was given one premade out of the warmer. Also, maybe I didn't look around very much, but I didn't see any salsa. When I got home and tried it though, it was pretty perfect. Tortilla maybe a little burnt, but besides that perfect. Luckily I had a good hot runny salsa at home which works perfect for breakfast burritos.
