truthfuly, it has been a couple of years having breakfast here. One reason is that I was not impressed. How they prepare and serve the food is just okay, good enough to fill a hungry belly. There are three, at least in Roseville, where there is more cheerful, warmer and friendlier ambience, with more creative spin on usual predictable breakfast menus. I just wish more breakfast houses would also include healthier versions of pancakes and waffles aside from bleached white wheat flour, with multigrain options, including toast. Rate of obesity and diabetes is no stranger to Roseville and maybe in other Placer County breakfast places. read more

I was doing an in person order at 1 pm. for my family on a Sunday, there was nobody in there eating except for one table and they were nearly finished. I asked if I could do it to go order and they said they could not do to go orders on the weekend. So what I could've sat down ordered and then asked for a box and left or maybe they wouldn't have gave me a box on the weekend I don't know, but that was really bad business I'm never going back and I'm going to tell everybody I know. I could totally understand if it was busy in there and they couldn't accommodate me, but there was literally one table and they were leaving. That is just horrible business. Originally went to the Waffle Barn with a couple of neighbors on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Below is my review: Waffle Barn is a restaurant that is hidden in plain sight. Have been to the Safeway Supermarket in the same shopping center to go shopping on various occasions and never notice this restaurant. Waffle Barn is know for their waffles however I had their with three eggs with wheat toast, chicken sausage with hash browns, and decaf coffee to drink. This was quite a delightful breakfast for a place located in a suburban neighborhood shopping center. Overall, Waffle Barn is an excellent choice if you are in search of a low cost option for a large group with a high quality with a large quantity of food. The restaurant especially the restroom was clean. While the service was above average based up the fact I do not have to ask for a refill of water. The servers were quick to refill my water. Quite impressive for shopping center restaurant with high foot traffic. Would recommend this place more for families, large groups, couples, business associates, etc. read more

Ask any Roseville local who appreciates breakfast to name an iconic restaurant in town that's known for serving an amazing breakfast... chances are you'll hear Waffle Barn, as this fine diner has been a favorite of Roseville locals, and all those who love a great breakfast, for the past couple decades. My last visit to this amazing restaurant happened a little past 10:30 in the morning on Tuesday, January 11, 2020, and I've arrived at Waffle Barn to enjoy a late breakfast. This fine restaurant is located in the Highland Park shopping center, on the west side of town, and offers lots of safe, free and convenient parking. On this late Tuesday morning, the temperature was in the upper 40's, so patio dining wasn't offered. Sorry about the delay, as it took a couple of days to write the review. As you enter the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a friendly staff member at the counter who will seat you. Today, since I was dining alone, I sat at the counter, which is always my choice, as it's easy to chit-chat with the staff and watch them in action. The dining room is very large and furnished with mostly tables, but booth line the wall. The room is separated by a low partition which divides it into two sections. The decor of the dining room could be best described as "country," as it's decorated in a country-theme, with cows, chickens, coffee cups everywhere. You'll also be treated to lots of posters, photos and sports memorabilia from high school, college and professional northern California sports franchises. On this mid-January late Tuesday morning, I practically had the dining room to myself. Waffle Barn still has the names of eaters who have successfully completed the "Skillet Breakfast" challenge they used to offer. The idea as to eat the entire breakfast - FIVE POUNDS of meat, potatoes, cheese, eggs and gravy - in one setting. If you managed to eat that HUGE breakfast, you were rewarded with your name on the wall. During the last couple years, the restaurant stopped offering this challenge, but the names of the champions are still posted on the wall. No, my name isn't posted! From the "Country Favorites" section of the breakfast menu, I went with "Bacon or Sausage and two Eggs." All breakfasts in the "Country Favorites" section give you a choice of hash brown or country potatoes, and toast or biscuit and gravy. Naturally, your eggs are cooked to order. My breakfast began with two perfectly fried eggs, sunnyside up, as per my order. I'm a HUGE fan of eggs cooked that way, as they go well with hash brown potatoes, as they mix well. As an aside, when I order country potatoes, I usually order my eggs fried over easy. Waffle Barn gives you a large slab of perfectly cooked hash brown potatoes, that are crispy golden on the outside, and tender inside, with a slightly buttery taste. The eggs and hash brown potatoes were simply delicious! Looking back on this amazing breakfast, I think the most difficult decision I made all day was the choice between bacon or sausage for my breakfast meat. Today, sausage won out, and I was rewarded with four perfectly grilled sausage links, complete with grill marks, juicy and when cut, they were simply bursting with flavor. Add a bite of sausage to a bite of potato and egg and you know what I'm talkin' about... I love toast, but when biscuit and gravy is on the menu I never turn it down, and today was no exception. I was treated to a fresh, warm biscuit, covered with a generous amount of the sausage gravy that has made Waffle Barn famous for breakfast among Roseville locals. I enjoyed the rich, creamy gravy with lots of chunks of sausage. Waffle Barn has achieved the reputation as one of the best breakfast restaurants in Roseville, and today they certainly lived up to their reputation for serving a delicious breakfast. My favorite place for breakfast! Service is always warm and welcoming whether you're ordering to go or eating in. This time we ate there and the server was super nice and all staff helping out which is so awesome to see. I loved my waffle it was perfectly cooked light and fluffy with the sweet vanilla taste! The coffee is amazing! Everything was great and I highly suggest taking yourself there and your family. Oh and it's affordable! This whole breakfast cost us $45 dollars and we tipped well. The inside of the restaurant is always so clean and neat. The decorations and seating is so cute and fun for all ages, it's like walking back into history. Waffle Barn can thank their next door neighbor for this! We went on Father's day, not because we were celebrating it, just because well it was Sunday and we wanted to try out Waffle Barn. As you can probably guessed, this place was busy. They had a list of people on the waitlist and our wait was closer to 30-40 minutes. It wasn't so bad, but well it is Father's Day, so expect that kind of wait any place you go. We had a couple of dishes. I had the country fried steak, well because if ANY place that we go to serves this, I will order it. This is my fail safe and in most cases it's a good fail safe because you got a crispy steak with gravy and a biscuit. I opted for tater tots instead of any other starch, well because....if a place serves tater tots, I'll order tater tots because if it's good enough for Napoleon Dynamite, it's good enough for me! The food was good. Large servings and stuff was made quick and fed our hungry faces fast! Wife had the pancakes which were almost the size of a hub cap (if you kids remember what those are LOL). It was moist and spongey, yummy. Also we had eggs and bacon, but those are just run of the mill breakfast stuff. Will we come back? Sure! It's a fun atmosphere with old timer stuff all over the wall. All the employees work well together and seem to have been working together for a long time together. The wait staff check on you often and are always friendly. The food comes out AMAZINGLY fast too!
