Cilantro Avocado Toast with a poached egg and hibiscus iced tea
    Tameka I.

The food tastes fresh and flavorful. I love the balance and texture of all the ingredients. The crispy potatoes were my favorite. The cilantro avocado toast with a poached egg mixed green side salad and hibiscus iced tea was delicious. The menu is Eastern European forward. The service is okay. You order at the counter and find a seat after. The ambiance is dim, elaborate and has a floral esthetic. Parking is ample and feels safe.

    Shakshouka & peppermint dark mocha

Not sure why it took me this long to check out this cafe.....it's one of the most coziest cafes in the Sac area. :) Wood paneling, soft lighting, a whole houseplant wall! I had the shakshouka and the peppermint dark mocha. Different preparation of eggs than what I'm used to in the shakshouka (not silky but instead had a soft-boiled texture) but still good. The tomato sauce was a bit too chunky though.....I could've used more than the two slices of bread given haha. Very soothing and nicely made peppermint dark mocha! Friendly staff ladies but soft-spoken; was hard hearing their voices. Very attentive on clearing my plates though. Plentiful lot parking.

California Eggs Benedict and Very Berry French Toast

Super cute aesthetic when you walk in with the wall covered in foliage to the left and then nice comfy wood aesthetic to the right... even had Christmas decor... They greeted us and said we could sit anywhere... we came on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't busy at all. We were given menus and then told we could order at the counter when ready. We decided to split two dishes...one savory and one sweet. California eggs Benedict and Very Berry French Toast. The presentation was on point and everything was delicious. The only thing is that the potatoes came out cold so when I asked if they could reheat- they took the whole plate back...reheated just the potatoes - then brought it all back to us and then at that point the eggs Benedict was cold... They also did not have mimosas nor many drink choices...their sodas were also in a can. I definitely think they can up their service a bit just by making it so patrons are seated and able to order at their table...maybe work on getting their alcohol license so they can serve mimosas too- which I feel is a standard for any brunchy place... Interesting that they had a whole European section on their menu as well...but didn't really sound too appealing.

Ambiance was fine, small little diner, outdoor seating, can be a little loud inside due to lack of space. Lots of parking spaces. My bf ordered eggs Benedict and loved it. Potatoes were great, the avocado toast was flavorful, the salad was ehh- about 10 little leaves of holy lettuce with some sprinkles of dressing- not enough, we weren't offered water, which usually comes at most restaurants automatically. The hot cocoa was delicious.

Food is delicious! The Napoleon was sooo good! I had the baked chicken crepe and high was flavorful, healthy and filling. Their French toast also looks amazing and my friend enjoyed it. Next time I would want to try their ricotta pancakes. Ambiance is pretty nice. They have plants everywhere and wooden accents on the wall which gives a warm, cafe vibe. Service is spot on too! Everyone is as warm and friendly.

A delightful discovery, thanks Yelpers! Perfect weather in early May. Saw on Yelp photos that there are plenty of outdoor tables. So loaded up the spouse and the 3 Labrador Retrievers for a Friday brunch. Arrived at the address via GPS and then had to circle around the big parking lot to find this place tucked back way in the left corner. Happy that the place is not crowded, we had a fine choice of tables. Sat out front, tied the Labrador's leashes to the fence next to us. "Okay guys, take a nap". I go inside to order at the cashier, pay and take a table number sign. Menu is somewhat short but well focused. Surprised to see several Ukrainian / Russian / Polish items like borscht, vareniki and pelmeni. Despite my maternal grandparents being Ukrainian immigrants back in 1909 I decided to eat Californian, specifically the California Benedict. Barbara S. got the breakfast sandwich. To drink: Fresh squeezed orange juice and a peppermint ice tea. And a slice of the baklava. Food is put on the table is 7 minutes flat. Pretty plate. Just the right size portions. Sides are homestyle potatoes and a fresh mesclun salad. And everything is delicious. I think this is my new favorite brunch spot. I love the food at Mario's Early Toast but the overwhelming crowds and intense noise levels at all of his restaurants is a turn off. Last time that I attempted to eat at Mario's I called first, was told to just come in "The wait is less than 10 minutes". I arrived to join the mosh pit at the door. And was told at the podium that the wait was just over an hour. I bailed. Back to Greenhouse here; Next visit I'll see if there is a weekend mob scene. Only downside to Greenhouse. The front patio view is a dilapidated half demolished building that looks like no work progress is happening. But I won't ding the restaurant for the kind'a ugly location.

Tucked in the corner of the Citrus Grove Shopping Center, this delicious café is not to be missed! The area is being updated, so don't let the construction deter you. Walking up, you find an outdoor seating area covered and surrounded by large potted plants. On a nice day, it would be a welcome retreat from sidewalks and parking lots. Inside is lovely. It is not a large place, but use of mirrors prevents it from feeling small. The plants and beautiful woodwork around the place, give it a comfortable, soothing feel. We chose to sit near the door as I don't always do well in small places, but after walking through the place, I can see it wouldn't have been an issue. In the space we chose, I faced a wall of plants and "family room" seating area that was incredibly soothing. The service here is smart, especially for its size. Grab a menu, find your table, order at the counter when you're ready. Everything is made to order, so sit back, sip your drink, and enjoy the ambiance. We ordered an iced mocha, orange juice and salted caramel latte. The OJ is perfectly made; fresh squeezed and chilled to a heavenly deliciousness! My salted caramel latte was the best I've ever had! Other places, they are so sweet that I can't taste the coffee. This was a lovely balance of sweetness that allowed the espresso to present itself as well. The mocha, I am told was nicely balanced as well. The capresse avocado toast with potatoes & spring salad were a light and yummy way to start thr day. The spring salad was lightly drizzled with a balsamic-based dressing and potatoes were cooked through and lightly fried. The burrata avocado toast on sourdough was fresh & delightfully tasty with the toppings well-balanced. Y'all, I'm struggling to share how I feel about my brunch. I had a side of 2 perfectly (for me) poached eggs and the lemon blueberry French toast. I love me some lemon and am always down to try anything with lemon. Let me start with the presentation. The plate was drizzled with a blueberry sauce, sprinkled with crushed pistachios & fresh blueberries, and garnished with purple pansies. The French toast was lightly dusted with powdered sugar and topped with a healthy dollop of blueberry compote and lemon wedge. After taking pictures, of course, I squeezed lemon onto the toast and cut into the fluffiest custard French toast ever! I wanted a bit of everything in my first bite and dipped it into the lightest and most UH-MAY-ZING lemon curd I've had the pleasure of enjoying! This was easily THE BEST French Toast EVER!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

I was in the area and heard that they serve SightGlass Coffee which I've been craving. They're a well known coffee roaster based out of SF. When I arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 1, there was some tables open. I did see some table reserved, so I thought that was cool that your able to make reservations. When ordering my latte I talked to the Barista/server and mentioned how I've been craving Sightglass Coffee. Too my surprised he asked me if the coffee was good, and I was puzzled/confused. I mentioned that Sightglass is a well known coffee roaster in SF. I was shock that the barista didn't know anything about the coffee they're serving. But outside of that the coffee is good, and I would recommend this place. This place isn't too noisy so it's perfect for getting some work done or catching up with a friend.

    Eggs Benedict and Cherry Varenyky

Cute, unexpected location next to Gold's Gym. The menus is fairly extensive and includes brunch favorites like avocado toast and eggs Benedict variations. There are also traditional sweet and savory Eastern European options. There is a patio in front of the. Order at the counter and food is brought to the table. My only suggestion would be a more efficient way to see the menu while waiting to order.

    Lox Bagel

Took my mom for Valentine's brunch and it was a lovely experience. Will be bringing all my girlfriends to this place! Not only is the plating of the food esthetically pleasing, it tastes great!!! Potatoes with the lox bagel were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Macarons were not too sweet and shells baked just right. The latte art is on point and the pistachio rim was a nice touch. In terms of ordering, I like that we order at the counter and seat ourselves anywhere with our number. The staff seemed diligent and busy. I will say the live plant wall is pretty, but when you sit too close to it, you can smell a little stale wetness. Besides that, outdoor seating looked pretty.

Egg and avocado toast with cream cheese

Definitely adding this place to my rotation! The food was super fresh, eggs were fluffy, and they definitely didn't skimp on the avocado. I don't remember the exact name of the dish I had but it was an avocado toast with eggs and a layer of herbed cream cheese, came with potatoes and a side salad that was a perfect balance and very filling. I enjoyed eating at the tables outside and even though this place is in a shopping center, it's in the corner and was pretty quiet.

Sweet Cream Brioche French Toast Bacon Eggs

I live locally and wanted to try a place I had never been to. I chose this place because it was on my way home AND I'm a plant enthusiast, so when I stumbled upon the name, I was like... Umm YES PLEASE. When I arrived I was greeted by the staff, but kind of just stood there for a bit as I wasn't sure initially if it was self seating or not and no one said anything. I walked up to the counter and looked at the menu. I mentioned that it was my first time here and was told that I could take a seat anywhere and come back up once I was ready to order. I guess I expected a little more from the staff as I mentioned it was my first time here. A little info on the cafe, menu highlights, what brings me in, plant talk... Anything. They werent really busy either. Staff was not rude, but also not very welcoming or engaging. They did wish me well when I left. Now... I ordered the salted caramel latte with almond milk and I wish with all my heart that I had ordered a large. It was the right amount of sweet and PERFECTLY salted. Probably the best salted caramel latte I've had... And if the place was empty, I would have licked the coffee mug, lol. For food, I ordered from their French Toast menu. I got the sweet cheese French toast, which was brioche bread stuffed with sweet cheese, berries, and whipped cream. I also got a side of bacon and 2 eggs... Not gonna lie, kind of pricey... But absolutely delicious. I did order my eggs over medium and they came out sunny side up, but still delicious. Good quality, thick bacon that was cooked well. The brioche French toast was EVERYTHING. Perfectly cooked, the sweet cheese was just the right amount of sweet. The fruit was fresh and delicious. The plating and presentation was beautiful, I almost didn't want to dig in, but I'm greedy . As I mentioned, I'm a plant enthusiast which was what led me to choose this cafe over others. Very cute, cozy cafe with pretty plants all over. They have a plant wall when you first walk in to the left and plants throughout the indoor and outdoor areas. I wish my pothos and fiddle leaf figs were as healthy as theirs. Definitely going back, as I for sure need to revisit that salted caramel latte. You think they'll give me a plant cutting?

Dirty bathroom with used sanitary napkin
    Cassandra N.

I feel like the rating would be a 3.5 but I'll bump it up to 4 since the food is good. Their outdoor seating area is beautiful and the front area of the store is full of beautiful plants and a pretty display case of pastries. Unfortunately, immediately after entering, you could smell the bathrooms, which were right by the front door. Staff were very nice and helpful with ordering, and prices are reasonable. They were out of the pistachio latte, which was disappointing. We got the blueberry French toast, which was beautifully plated and not overly sweet. The beef crepe was rolled and came with a salad and potatoes on the side, great portion. We also got espresso based drinks, and they were solid. The bathrooms, unfortunately, were absolutely disgusting. There weren't a lot of customers, but the trash cans in both were overflowing and smelled absolutely disgusting. One of them had a used sanitary napkin face up on the ground. Really offputting for a food establishment. It's a cute spot but I'm not too sure if I would return.

Ask the Community - Greenhouse Cafe

Do you serve all items on the menu all day long?

    One basic menu.

    Are there any vegan options?

My boyfriend doesn't eat eggs and got the Avocado toast here which he really liked. They use Parmesan cheese on the potatoes but minus that and the Caprese on the toast, it's probably vegan.

Is this place still open? The website is down and phone number not working

I was as recently as 1/3/22 and they were in full swing.

    Is outdoor seating available?

    Yes

Are there any vegan food items or vegan friendly pastries?

I'm not sure...they didn't even know if their mocha syrup was vegan and wouldn't even go read the labels ingredients to check for us. I would support other local coffee shops over this one
