I recently discovered the cutest spot- Greenhouse cafe and honestly, I am obsessed. The entire space is surrounded by plants, giving it a fresh and calming vibe. It is spacious, super clean, and perfect if you love being around greenery. The staff were incredibly welcoming and even walked me through their most popular drinks, which I really appreciated. I ordered a chai latte and avocado toast, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. The desserts looked so tempting that I couldn't resist taking some to go! Bonus- there's plenty of parking, which makes the whole experience even better. I'm already planning to bring my husband here next time. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to.

    Shakshouka & peppermint dark mocha

Not sure why it took me this long to check out this cafe.....it's one of the most coziest cafes in the Sac area. :) Wood paneling, soft lighting, a whole houseplant wall! I had the shakshouka and the peppermint dark mocha. Different preparation of eggs than what I'm used to in the shakshouka (not silky but instead had a soft-boiled texture) but still good. The tomato sauce was a bit too chunky though.....I could've used more than the two slices of bread given haha. Very soothing and nicely made peppermint dark mocha! Friendly staff ladies but soft-spoken; was hard hearing their voices. Very attentive on clearing my plates though. Plentiful lot parking.

I took myself out to breakfast here and the food was amazing and the ambiance was lovely. Definitely will be returning with friends.

California Eggs Benedict and Very Berry French Toast

Super cute aesthetic when you walk in with the wall covered in foliage to the left and then nice comfy wood aesthetic to the right... even had Christmas decor... They greeted us and said we could sit anywhere... we came on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't busy at all. We were given menus and then told we could order at the counter when ready. We decided to split two dishes...one savory and one sweet. California eggs Benedict and Very Berry French Toast. The presentation was on point and everything was delicious. The only thing is that the potatoes came out cold so when I asked if they could reheat- they took the whole plate back...reheated just the potatoes - then brought it all back to us and then at that point the eggs Benedict was cold... They also did not have mimosas nor many drink choices...their sodas were also in a can. I definitely think they can up their service a bit just by making it so patrons are seated and able to order at their table...maybe work on getting their alcohol license so they can serve mimosas too- which I feel is a standard for any brunchy place... Interesting that they had a whole European section on their menu as well...but didn't really sound too appealing.

Cilantro Avocado Toast with a poached egg and hibiscus iced tea

The food tastes fresh and flavorful. I love the balance and texture of all the ingredients. The crispy potatoes were my favorite. The cilantro avocado toast with a poached egg mixed green side salad and hibiscus iced tea was delicious. The menu is Eastern European forward. The service is okay. You order at the counter and find a seat after. The ambiance is dim, elaborate and has a floral esthetic. Parking is ample and feels safe.

I've been here a few times and the vibe is just amazing. There's lots plants inside and dark wood. There's an outside seating area. The staff is friendly. Today we tried the caprese avocado toast and sweet cheese French toast. Both were so delicious! If you are looking for healthy delicious meal I highly recommend this place.

The service, food, and ambiance are above average at Greenhouse Cafe. The staff are kind and professional, the food is made with attention to quality detail, and the ambiance is quite elegant - highly reccommend.

The food is absolutely amazing at this little deli! I had a salad with crumbled bacon, and it was delicious. My girlfriend had the avocado toast, which was yummy. And my my friend had some kind of crêpe with savory chicken in it, which was also very delicious. I highly recommend coming here! Clean, good eating.

Ambiance was fine, small little diner, outdoor seating, can be a little loud inside due to lack of space. Lots of parking spaces. My bf ordered eggs Benedict and loved it. Potatoes were great, the avocado toast was flavorful, the salad was ehh- about 10 little leaves of holy lettuce with some sprinkles of dressing- not enough, we weren't offered water, which usually comes at most restaurants automatically. The hot cocoa was delicious.

Food is delicious! The Napoleon was sooo good! I had the baked chicken crepe and high was flavorful, healthy and filling. Their French toast also looks amazing and my friend enjoyed it. Next time I would want to try their ricotta pancakes. Ambiance is pretty nice. They have plants everywhere and wooden accents on the wall which gives a warm, cafe vibe. Service is spot on too! Everyone is as warm and friendly.

A delightful discovery, thanks Yelpers! Perfect weather in early May. Saw on Yelp photos that there are plenty of outdoor tables. So loaded up the spouse and the 3 Labrador Retrievers for a Friday brunch. Arrived at the address via GPS and then had to circle around the big parking lot to find this place tucked back way in the left corner. Happy that the place is not crowded, we had a fine choice of tables. Sat out front, tied the Labrador's leashes to the fence next to us. "Okay guys, take a nap". I go inside to order at the cashier, pay and take a table number sign. Menu is somewhat short but well focused. Surprised to see several Ukrainian / Russian / Polish items like borscht, vareniki and pelmeni. Despite my maternal grandparents being Ukrainian immigrants back in 1909 I decided to eat Californian, specifically the California Benedict. Barbara S. got the breakfast sandwich. To drink: Fresh squeezed orange juice and a peppermint ice tea. And a slice of the baklava. Food is put on the table is 7 minutes flat. Pretty plate. Just the right size portions. Sides are homestyle potatoes and a fresh mesclun salad. And everything is delicious. I think this is my new favorite brunch spot. I love the food at Mario's Early Toast but the overwhelming crowds and intense noise levels at all of his restaurants is a turn off. Last time that I attempted to eat at Mario's I called first, was told to just come in "The wait is less than 10 minutes". I arrived to join the mosh pit at the door. And was told at the podium that the wait was just over an hour. I bailed. Back to Greenhouse here; Next visit I'll see if there is a weekend mob scene. Only downside to Greenhouse. The front patio view is a dilapidated half demolished building that looks like no work progress is happening. But I won't ding the restaurant for the kind'a ugly location.

Ask the Community - Greenhouse Cafe

Do you serve all items on the menu all day long?

    One basic menu.

    Are there any vegan options?

My boyfriend doesn't eat eggs and got the Avocado toast here which he really liked. They use Parmesan cheese on the potatoes but minus that and the Caprese on the toast, it's probably vegan.

Is this place still open? The website is down and phone number not working

I was as recently as 1/3/22 and they were in full swing.

    Is outdoor seating available?

    Yes

Are there any vegan food items or vegan friendly pastries?

I'm not sure...they didn't even know if their mocha syrup was vegan and wouldn't even go read the labels ingredients to check for us. I would support other local coffee shops over this one

I'd consider coming back. ---------- I came by around 9:30 AM on a Monday looking for a sweet drink after getting some steps in. It felt like the kind of place where you could stay a while, especially with the free WiFi and relaxed atmosphere. I waited a while before ordering, but only because the barista was in the back washing something. They were the only person working, so I understood the delay. Once I placed my order, my berry chamomile bliss tea came out quickly. It had a nice fruity flavor and was refreshing. Overall, this is a solid coffee shop if you want to chill or get some work done. For food, I also ordered the caprese toast and my husband got the spicy chipotle panini. The toast was amazing! Again, there was only one person so it took a few minutes for the food but it was so worth it. Everything was freshly made. I saw her grab everything and cut a brand new tomato and mozzarella for my toast. I didn't taste my husband's panini but he quoted "this place has handcrafted artisan creations. Simple. Classy. So I called my middle daughter who is still enjoying her post college mini vacation and told her to meet me there-We headed to Cafe 86 in Roseville. They are located in a little strip mall on Foothills Blvd and they have ample parking as they share a lot with other businesses. Walking in,it was a cute little shop with many tables and spots to hang out.I was mesmerized more by the vast menu of coffee drinks to choose from. My daughter ended up going with an Iced Sea Salt Coffee($3.00) and I ended up ordering an Iced Caramel Latte($6.50) As far as pastries go we got the Ube Crack Cheesecake ($5.50) The friendly gentleman working the coffee shop was great. He was the only employee and watching him take the time to be so meticulous in his coffee making skills was great. Even after delivering the drinks to us, he still checked on us to make sure we liked the taste of the drinks and if they needed any modifications like more milk or more syrup. Got to admit that was a first for me-most coffee shops just deliver the coffee drinks and that's the last you ever hear from the employees. Now for the drinks-my daughter did not like her drink at all and I knew she wouldn't. She is a 22 year old who was raised on Dutch Bros-style drinks loaded with sugar and syrups. Her drink was basically just straight coffee with some Sea Salt. Now my drink, that's a whole different story. The Iced Caramel Latte was amazeballs-it was so well made-perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness. I really enjoyed my drink-it's actually in the running as one of my Top 3 coffee drinks currently in Sacramento area. I didn't get to try the Ube Cheesecake but my daughter really enjoyed it-she is a pretty big fan of UBE anything. As a topper as we were walking out the great gentleman working the store asked us if we wanted to try another pastry free of charge-he offered us the Turon Pop Tart. I jumped at the opportunity-it tasted like sweet caramelized banana and jackfruit delivered in a flaky pastry-I'm a fan, I really enjoyed it. In closing, this place was a really cute Filipino-inspired dessert shop that makes really great coffees- My daughter enjoyed my drink so much we ended up swapping drinks. I ended up with the Sea Salt Coffee which was very enjoyable for a mature palate. They have great customer service, great coffee drinks and solid pastries-I will be back.

Our server, Kristin, was amazing. She answered our questions perfectly and without hesitation; she was always there to refill iced tea and bring anything additional we needed - the service was flawless in every way. We were at a booth for four, and the booths are comfortable and clean. The layout of the restaurant is efficient, and perfect for the dining experience FSC is offering. And the food? Off the charts 5/5! I hadn't had pancakes in a long time, so I ordered the blueberry pancakes. The two pancakes were both massive and delicious. Fresh blueberries in the batter and on top, and they were perfectly ripe and flavorful. I can't envision anyone actually finishing all of it, but I was happy to take home leftovers. The pancakes were fluffy and light, among the best I have ever had. I also had a side of the house-cured bacon, which I requested crispy, and which arrived perfectly crispy and delicious. Well, ChocoLit Cafe satisfied our cravings. Food wasn't too sweet, just perfect! This is a great spot for dessert, and we'll definitely be back for more late night sweet cravings. I definitely recommend this shop if you're looking for something diverse & delectable.

The Hubster, MIL, and I popped in here for a late lunch today…read more What a cute little bakery/cafe this is. It's located inside a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. It is rather tiny on the inside with only three tables of two. So if you are wanting to sit and eat, you need to be a small party, or take your food with you to go. Thankfully there was plenty of room when we arrived for our party of three. Their decor is cute with plenty o goose to view, as well as their baked goods. Since it was our maiden voyage here we did ask the nice gal who was at the register for a couple of recommendations which we took. The hubster tried the Ham and Peach Grilled Cheese, the MIL did the Pick Two which included a half Rosemary Chicken Sandwich and the Strawberry Poppyseed salad, I also got the Pick Two and chose half Citrus Club Sandwich and the Street Corn Cesar salad. Everything was made fresh to order and was incredibly tasty! The hubster and I also shared a Cherry Limeade Summer Sipper which was divine. We decided we could not leave with out taking a few goodies with us for later. So we bought a Lemon Bar, a Blackberry Cheesecake Bar, and a Chocolate Sea Salt Shortbread. We don't venture to Rocklin on a regular basis, but when we do, it's nice to know where to go and to support a small business like this. Give them a try. You will be impressed too!

Friendly staff and a cute interior my only complaint is that is closes so early! We can't get that turkey pesto fix past 4PM. Overall, good experience.

A Beautiful Breakfast Spot -- We'll Definitely Be Back!…read more What a great experience from the moment we arrived! We were greeted with a smile, and the service throughout our visit was incredible. We sat outside on the patio, which was absolutely beautiful. Between the landscaping and the soothing sound of the fountains, it was the perfect setting for a relaxing breakfast. And then came the food! I ordered one of their scrambled egg dishes loaded with vegetables, sausage, and potatoes. The portion was huge and absolutely delicious. Of course, I couldn't leave well enough alone, so I added a pancake on the side. It was light, fluffy, and so good! My wife had the scrambled egg breakfast with their homemade toast and loved every bite. My daughter-in-law ordered the frittata, and naturally, I had to do a little "quality control" sampling. It was fabulous! Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. This is definitely a place we'll return to, especially when friends or family are visiting and we want to take them somewhere special for breakfast. My wife has also eaten here for lunch and says it's equally amazing. Beautiful atmosphere, incredible service, generous portions, and fantastic food. Five stars all the way!
