But we came for breakfast today, expecting huge lines and there was no wait at all! The food was delicious, the coffee hot and tasty, service was friendly and attentive. The Pottery World Café is a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch in Rocklin. It's housed within the Pottery World store and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. This was my first visit and I'm already planning a return trip. My friend and I arrived on a Saturday morning around 9:15am and were easily able to find parking in the rear parking lot, which is closest to the entrance to the Café. You need to walk through the store to get to the Café entrance. We were quickly seated and provided with beverages. Once we ordered our food, it came out very quickly and was delicious. The service was also attentive and friendly. I had an excellent chocolate scone, which was warm, and I slathered it with butter. Delish! My zesty scramble had a bit of a spicy kick, which I enjoyed. The portion was large enough that I could make it into two meals. My friend loved her breakfast burrito, which is an entrée that she tries whenever she can find it on a restaurant menu. This one did not disappoint. She also had a side of bacon and commented that she received a lot of bacon. I told her that you can NEVER have too much bacon. The coffee is from Vaneli's, a local Rocklin company. We had a great breakfast and want to return soon for lunch. As someone who lives in Sacramento, it is definitely worth the drive to Rocklin to visit Pottery World Café. After the meal, we perused the store and all of its wonderful furniture, clothing, and home decor items. It was a fun morning. read more

Valentine's Day brunch for my husband and I. Our server, Sara was very sweet and efficient. We started with Mochas. Love the ambiance, so fun checking out all the decor in the restaurant and in the way in. When it's warmer it will be lovely to sit outside and listen to all the water features. I had the Valentine special biscuit & gravy with eggs. My husband had the veggie Benedict. Both our meals were delicious. And we had leftovers for breakfast the next day. read more

My wife and I had heard about this place from friends. We happen to be in the area and my wife suggested we check it out. It had been a while since she and I had a chance to be out on our own, so we checked it out and boy were we glad we did. After parking, we walked through several displays of beautiful fountains before finally reaching the entrance to the store and eventually to the café. We were greeted with smiles and warmth and seated almost immediately. We came during the lunch hours and we came on a Sunday so the place wasn't as busy as it could've been. Our server, Isla (hopefully not butchering that spelling) greeted us with a wonderful smile and friendly service. She explained all the items to us that we had questions about, and made sure to check on us often. The service here is second to none. My wife and I enjoyed fancy toast, the lentil soup, a few hot drinks, and a warmed up chocolate chip cookie. This entire experience was the healing that we needed after a very long week of work, and after missing our loved ones who spent the weekend with us. Every bite of the fancy toast was delicious and I could not stop eating the lentil soup even after we received our entrées. To top it all off, eating at this café was like being transported to a different country that I have only seen on social media or read about in books. The area is so nice! After my wife and I enjoyed our meal, we perused the store and made mental lists of the things we want to purchase in the very near future. Once again, a great experience here. The service was terrific. Our server was very busy with many tables and handled everything with ease and care. It was a busy morning with many full tables. The noise level wasn't even a remote hindrance to conversation. The Fancy Toast was as delicious as it was during my last visit here. Hubby had the breakfast burrito which was tasty as well. The salsa is house made and good. His only complaint was that the burrito had way too many potatoes in it. You can see in the pic we took that is in fact the case. The salsa and flavor helped to make up for it, but it fell short of some of the better breakfast burritos we have had due to the ratio of potatoes to the other filling. I would def go back. This is my go to brunch spot in the area for obvious reasons! The service is super friendly and the food comes out really fast considering how busy they are. I came on a Thursday early afternoon and there was around a 40 minute wait. It's inside a pottery store so time goes by pretty fast since there's a lot of things to look at. Their desserts are so delicious such as the carrot cake and tiramisu! Highly recommend getting it after a delicious meal here. read more

This is THE place for amazing sandwiches! Coming here the day before a holiday we were certain it would be packed, as usual, sometimes with an hour wait or more. Parking in our secret spot off-site we didn't want to deal with the typical chaos of the over crowded parking lot. To our amazement there were open parking spaces everywhere! Getting to the restaurant entry we were prepared for a wait and time to peruse the store's merchandise. Lo and behold there were many tables available! What a surprise for a restaurant that's typically crowded. Why? The food, and in particular, amazing sandwiches. Having an out of town guest we knew this place would be a hit, and certainly it was. Sitting outside the weather was ideal. Service was friendly and professional as always. I ordered a grilled salmon sandwich with a side salad w/vinegarette dressing. There are options for a side. I had this with an iced tea. The sandwich was exceptional and the salad equally so. The salmon was perfectly grilled with a delicious aioli and dressing. The salad was fresh and full of greens, tomatoes, large colorful radishes, etc. The portions are enormous. Whenever I have a need for a great sandwich I'll do my best to get in here! read more

Wonderful little restaurant tucked far back into the corner of a large five star pottery shop. You have to drive around back and wander past the fountains, but it's worth exploring. Great service, excellent food, really nice things to look at. The staff were wonderful. read more

We have been coming to pottery world cafe for months now and we love it so much. We try and come here once a week when our schedules let us. There is nothing we haven't been a fan of. The sandwiches and soups are always so so good! All of the servers there are always very efficient and attentive. It's easy to get in and out in less than an hour if needed. If it's busy, the longest we've had to wait was about an hour but MOST of the time, we get seated almost immediately. The restaurant has inside and outside seating, which works in the rain or shine! Love the aesthetic with all the stonework and pottery and fountains, but I thought the food was just OK. I got a Caesar salad and added chicken to it. The chicken was very thin and dry almost leathery to the point that I could barely cut it with my table knife. The clam chowder was tasty and the burger that my wife got was very thick and delicious. My kid got the kids turkey sandwich with fruit and it came with grape grapes and slices of cantaloupe and sliced orange. Sandwich was fine. And I got a coffee and the coffee was fine. We didn't have to wait long. They told us it was a 25 minute wait but we were seated within about five minutes. The service was quite attentive and kept our coffees topped up and was there when we needed them. Overall quite similar vibe to High Hand and if that's the vibe I want I'll just do the extra drive to High Hand. read more

Superb experience start to finish. Arrived around noon on a Saturday, very short wait to sit outside. It was a beautiful day, the ambiance of hearing all the fountains and excellent mellow music was great. Great service - our server was very helpful in making a couple of veggie options fully vegan (spinach salad with a TON of avocado (yay!) and a cool variation of avocado toast. Super fresh, huge portion, and no, we took nothing home! The kicker was some free wine tasting with a small local winery, whose owner was the one doing the pouring. Excellent and unexpected. Nice way to end the trip was a walk around the actual store itself. Helpful but not intrusive staff all around, and yes, we did buy something :) Can't say enough about the couple hours or so we were there! read more

What a great atmosphere. I'm glad people suggested this on Facebook. I would've never known it was there. We had excellent service from the waiter. What a beautiful place! Stopped by on a Friday afternoon. Couldn't decide whether to sit inside or outside. Hostess said it was quiet and warm outside which worked out perfectly. Enjoyed a club sandwich and cup of Moroccan lentil soup with the sound of the fountains in the background. The sandwich was incredible, especially with the Brie. Bacon was thick cut. You get a choice of side salad: spinach, Caesar, garden salad or soup. The salad was fresh and colorful with the watermelon radish slices. Vinegarette was perfect. Loved the excellent from Sammie. I was excited to finally try this place as I saw all the yelp reviews. The ambiance is nice, but when it came to the food it was horrible! The food presentation is appealing, however, the taste is not. We ordered a Thai chicken salad and a chicken Caesar wrap. The chicken was very dry, barely any sauce, noddles were undercooked and overly packed with some dry crispy noodles that I took off. This was the worse Thai salad I've ever had and the ingredients used did not seem to blend well for a Thai salad. I had high expectations for this place, the food is bland, dry and lacks flavor. I paid for my meal, though I only took several bites given the chicken was so dry no amount of water could help to wash it down. Will not be eating here again. read more

My first time visiting and most definite will return. Service was outstanding. We were greeted by our server within one minute she took drink orders and returned promptly with our beverages and took our food orders. It could've been four minutes before she with arrived with our food. Two people had the grilled cranberry turkey toasted sandwich and fell in love with it one person had the club sandwich and she loved it and I had the Thai chicken salad (minus the chicken added avocado instead,)it was the best salad I've ever had and I've traveled the world!! so much good stuff packed into it. This place was remotely in the area of Rocklin. It is a bite tricky to realize that this pottery store included a restaurant, if you blink you might miss it.. Initially the Service was a bite slow.. not sure if there was any communication, however after being seated for over 10 Minutes we had to flag down a waiter. At first impression, I was thinking this service is going to s#c@! I was wrong, our waiter James came through and was very apologetic and immediately took our orders. He was attentive and miraculous the food came out quickly . The menu for breakfast is pretty basic. We ordered the egg Benedict, it was cooked perfectly with a request of poached hard eggs. The bread appeared homemade with a slight crunch, it was topped with country potatoes. Overall this dish was enough for two. We also ordered the two egg omelette with egg whites. I choose five toppings, after 3 it is will cost you $1.75 per topping. Overall the taste was average, the bacon was a bite hard and chewy... This place is decoratively rustic garden feel, very unique.. I will definitely try lunch. However this place is a bite on the pricey end. read more

Sammy our waitress was stellar! The dill potato salad was also on point. My sister really enjoyed her club sandwich. My partner had a patty melt, it was yummy but dry and the bread should have been grilled a bit more. His ceaser salad was underdressed and pedestrian. I had the turky cranberry sandwich...meh. it was dressed with walnut cream cheese but the walnuts weren't toasted so they were gummy. The cranberry was only in the center of the sandwich and there was nothing else, no sprouts or tomato or cucumber or anything. I think it maybe was kind of a panini but the bread was really dry and not grilled really. I mean this is some spendy food for just meh. I also had the Butternut squash soup, disappointing. It was cold then got stuck in the microwave but it was also just bland. No spice, no herbs, not even salt and pepper. We tried the tiramisu cake and it was good. We waited an hour to be seated. The Cafe serves up breakfast and lunch, seven days a week. Breakfast is served from 8am-11am and lunch is 11am-3:30pm. They even serve beer and wine. The cafe is in the Pottery World shop. The setup of having a cafe within a shop gave me nostalgic vibes of the bygone days of department store lunch counters. Yup, I'm that old. Anyways, it was Hubs and my first time here. The lunch menu options included a variety of soups, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. We settled on a club sandwich to share. $19.45. For our side, we choose potato salad. The sandwich was tasty. The roasted turkey, apple smoked bacon, and smoked ham was yummy. But it had a very wet spread, more like a sauce. The spread was placed on all three slices of the bread. It made the bread soggy and the sauce dripped all over. The sauce looked and tasted like a Thousand Island dressing. It was a messy, in your face sandwich. The fixings were slipping out of the sandwich. No skimpy servings here. The potato salad was good. It was a very traditional version. The dining chairs were upholstered which I'm not a fan of upholstered restaurant chairs. The chairs at our table had stains and looked dingy. But the overall cafe aesthetics is beautiful just like the rest of the shop. And if you have a sense of humor, take a gander at the bench near the host's stand. There is a little old lady mannequin, more like a life size ventriloquist dummy, dressed in a zazzy fashionable outfit complete with accessories. Seems like I've left a review before but anyway I'll just leave another one... Five star rating...Their food is so amazing...always. Such large portions and love that you can order an extra side for 4.95 so easy to split with somebody... Especially if you're going somewhere after and not able to save your leftovers. Lately have been ordering the chicken and prosciutto grilled sandwich with a side salad and then today the person I split with got a side of their brisket chili which he said was amazing...we had the friendliest waiter, Steve P... seems like I never get a picture because it always looks so good when I get it I just want to eat it right away. Next time if I go on Friday, want to try their chicken pot pie soup that waiter told us about today. Patio is so nice to sit on can't believe it. Our waitress was quick to get us waters and take our orders. Our food came out very fast and was delicious as always. So filling and just what we needed. I got the cranberry turkey sandwich with a garden salad and the poppyseed vinaigrette dressing. I love the walnuts in the cream cheese for the crunch and love the amount of cranberries it! This is a VERY popular outdoor and indoor furniture store in addition to having a restaurant onsite. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking during lunch is managed by staff, so be prepared or park in an adjacent shopping center's lot and walk over. Although we arrived early, there was a significant wait for our group of 8. Perhaps there is a staffing issue as service was slow. Our drinks arrived two at a time, as did our entrees. The food served was visually appealing and tasted good for the most part. (Some salad dressing was "bland".) One in the group had "dietary" issues and had some problems with the way the order arrived. It was sent back and new one arrived, still with problems but was accepted. The restrooms are port-a-potties outdoors. read more
