Valentine Special biscuits & gravy with a couple of eggs
    Michelle L.

Valentine's Day brunch for my husband and I. Our server, Sara was very sweet and efficient. We started with Mochas. Love the ambiance, so fun checking out all the decor in the restaurant and in the way in. When it's warmer it will be lovely to sit outside and listen to all the water features. I had the Valentine special biscuit & gravy with eggs. My husband had the veggie Benedict. Both our meals were delicious. And we had leftovers for breakfast the next day.

My wife and I had heard about this place from friends. We happen to be in the area and my wife suggested we check it out. It had been a while since she and I had a chance to be out on our own, so we checked it out and boy were we glad we did. After parking, we walked through several displays of beautiful fountains before finally reaching the entrance to the store and eventually to the café. We were greeted with smiles and warmth and seated almost immediately. We came during the lunch hours and we came on a Sunday so the place wasn't as busy as it could've been. Our server, Isla (hopefully not butchering that spelling) greeted us with a wonderful smile and friendly service. She explained all the items to us that we had questions about, and made sure to check on us often. The service here is second to none. My wife and I enjoyed fancy toast, the lentil soup, a few hot drinks, and a warmed up chocolate chip cookie. This entire experience was the healing that we needed after a very long week of work, and after missing our loved ones who spent the weekend with us. Every bite of the fancy toast was delicious and I could not stop eating the lentil soup even after we received our entrées. To top it all off, eating at this café was like being transported to a different country that I have only seen on social media or read about in books. The area is so nice! After my wife and I enjoyed our meal, we perused the store and made mental lists of the things we want to purchase in the very near future. I'm very happy we were able to dine in and enjoy this much-needed break with delicious food and great service!

My 2nd visit. Love the service food and ambience. Yes the place caters to grandmas and the people who love them. Healthy menu choices. My Thai salad was spicy. The chicken breast portion was big. All satisfying. Well done!

Once again, a great experience here. The service was terrific. Our server was very busy with many tables and handled everything with ease and care. It was a busy morning with many full tables. The noise level wasn't even a remote hindrance to conversation. The Fancy Toast was as delicious as it was during my last visit here. Hubby had the breakfast burrito which was tasty as well. The salsa is house made and good. His only complaint was that the burrito had way too many potatoes in it. You can see in the pic we took that is in fact the case. The salsa and flavor helped to make up for it, but it fell short of some of the better breakfast burritos we have had due to the ratio of potatoes to the other filling. I would def go back. Hubby is on the fence.

We visit often as the service and menu is always great!! Today was no exception we arrived around noon and was promptly sat outside (our choice) plenty of seating inside too. They have quite a few outdoor heaters so the patio area is lovely. Breakfast is served until 11am so we were there for lunch! Service is always great too!

This is my go to brunch spot in the area for obvious reasons! The service is super friendly and the food comes out really fast considering how busy they are. I came on a Thursday early afternoon and there was around a 40 minute wait. It's inside a pottery store so time goes by pretty fast since there's a lot of things to look at. Their desserts are so delicious such as the carrot cake and tiramisu! Highly recommend getting it after a delicious meal here.

This is THE place for amazing sandwiches! Coming here the day before a holiday we were certain it would be packed, as usual, sometimes with an hour wait or more. Parking in our secret spot off-site we didn't want to deal with the typical chaos of the over crowded parking lot. To our amazement there were open parking spaces everywhere! Getting to the restaurant entry we were prepared for a wait and time to peruse the store's merchandise. Lo and behold there were many tables available! What a surprise for a restaurant that's typically crowded. Why? The food, and in particular, amazing sandwiches. Having an out of town guest we knew this place would be a hit, and certainly it was. Sitting outside the weather was ideal. Service was friendly and professional as always. I ordered a grilled salmon sandwich with a side salad w/vinegarette dressing. There are options for a side. I had this with an iced tea. The sandwich was exceptional and the salad equally so. The salmon was perfectly grilled with a delicious aioli and dressing. The salad was fresh and full of greens, tomatoes, large colorful radishes, etc. The portions are enormous. Whenever I have a need for a great sandwich I'll do my best to get in here!

Stopped in for fountain ideas. Smell drew us in and the food did not disappoint. Service was great.

Wonderful little restaurant tucked far back into the corner of a large five star pottery shop. You have to drive around back and wander past the fountains, but it's worth exploring. Great service, excellent food, really nice things to look at. The staff were wonderful.

Muted tones and classic ambience! Top that with excellent quality food and service. My absolute favorite is the Asian chicken salad! Fresh, crispy, and delicious! Spicy dressing that makes this dish stand out from any others! Huge sandwiches with excellent daily soup selections capture the best of all 'lunch worlds'. Add the lovely patio (with misters & live music most weekends) to the list to complete this 5 star experience! Great shopping makes it a 6!

We have been coming to pottery world cafe for months now and we love it so much. We try and come here once a week when our schedules let us. There is nothing we haven't been a fan of. The sandwiches and soups are always so so good! All of the servers there are always very efficient and attentive. It's easy to get in and out in less than an hour if needed. If it's busy, the longest we've had to wait was about an hour but MOST of the time, we get seated almost immediately. The restaurant has inside and outside seating, which works in the rain or shine! We like going there because it's nice and quiet. We can't wait to go back!

Pottery World Cafe is a beautiful stop-inviting atmosphere and comfort food. We started with the Thai Salad, which was fresh and bursting with flavor. The Altimate Patty Melt and the burger were both juicy and satisfying, and the tomato soup was the perfect addition to the rainy day. Our experience was further elevated by outstanding service from James, who was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Note: come early-it is extremely busy -especially during the holiday season.

FOOD - Club Sandwich - roasted turkey, smoked ham, avocado, Brie cheese, smoked applewood bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, and spread on whole wheat bread. Very good! 4.5/5 -- Potato Salad: kinda standard. Not great, not bad. 3.75/5 -- Mimosa: so refreshing! 4.5/5 SERVICE: Our server was very patient as our reservation was towards the end of breakfast but we wanted to order off of the lunch menu. 4/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I would come back. The food was good, the price was fair. The cafe is found behind Pottery World. You have to go through the store which was kinda fun seeing the furniture and decor.

The service was very good and it was quite crowded on a random Wed night - we couldn't get a res till 7:30PM. As others noted it is pretty noisy. A very nice selection of drinks, wines and beers to start (wife tried their Old Fashioned). The french-onion soup was very good, tho I think they need a stronger flavored gruyer cheese, assuming that was what it was (classically). Wife had the salmon which at $44 was not very tasty - we've had much better fish from Briar Patch and cooked at home. Also, it seemed to be in a Bordelaise red wine beef-stock based sauce which we think is not right for fish. I had the $25 "gourmet" burger which was OK, but very greasy. It was prob a 1/2 lb patty with again some not very flavorful gruyer cheese - and a ton of pretty nice fries. We didn't have dessert. I think it is a good try at a French bistro style restaurant in Auburn tho a bit pricey for the quality, and very crowded for just OK food.

We dined here for our first time yesterday, and I can't believe it took us this long to finally try it out. We had reservations for 7:30pm and arrived a bit early. We were offered to have drinks at the bar which we happily obliged. We don't recall the name of the lady who made our drinks, but she was great and clearly is top notch at her craft. My wife got the White Lotus and I had the Thai NAgarita (adult non alcoholic). My wife absolutely LOVED her drink and I also did. We were seated shortly after getting our drinks and seamlessly moved us to our table. Our server was great, again drawing a blank on her name. We ended up getting the Soup de Saison which was a creamy potato soup, sorry for my lack of ability to explain it correctly. It was absolutely phenomenal. Being able to take a soup as simple as potato and make it have the flavor it did blew our minds. We also got the Fava Bean Dip which comes with two pita bread. This dish was fantastic. We would order both again and again, but will have to try other Starters next time because we know everything will be amazing. For our entrees my wife ordered the English Pea Vareniki and I the Pan Roasted Alaskan Halibut. We both were extremely happy with our dishes. I tried the Vareniki and it was delicious. Again, we would both order these over and over. Mind blown. For dessert we got the Tarte Au Citron and also the special which was a Strawberry Pavlova. The Tarte was absolutely delicious and would get it again and again. The Strawberry Pavlova was hands down the best dessert dish we have ever had in our lives. We do love strawberries so that helps, but everything about it was out of this world. If it is available when we go, we will order it every time. Overall an amazing experience and loved the ambiance and old building feel. Definitely an Auburn vibe which we love. I have seen a lot of complaints about the noise, but once again, those are people I don't care to be around. It is sort of a smaller restaurant with people having a good time, so if you are people who are snotty and complain about some noise and others talking and laughing enjoying themselves, don't come here. Well done Restaurant Josephine. Absolutely phenomenal!

Top notch medium rare ribeye steaks, delicious sides, friendly and professional staff, classy indoor decor, great location next to Westfield Roseville Mall, clean inside and outside, warm and welcoming ambience good for any and all occasions with friends, family, or coworkers, and superbly delicious desserts just to name a few. Parking is available at the mall's multilevel parking garage nearby so good luck because this mall is always packed. Our typical go to's didn't disappoint at all - medium rare ribeye steaks, calamari, crab cakes, scallops, brussel sprouts, creme brulee, lava cake with extra scoops of ice cream, and chocolate ice cream scoops for our 2 little firecracker girls. Absolute satisfaction for foodieventures!! Medium rare steaks are cooked to perfection which is precisely why we keep returning to Ruth's Chris. Forgot the server's name, but she was incredible, attentive, and had a very friendly vibe that made our meal experience even more memorable before sending our son off to join the Air Force. Kudos for her service!! Compared to other franchise steakhouses we've been to, Ruths Chris still remains our top choice and this spot maintains the same quality we've come to love dearly. Highly recommended and we'll definitely be coming back here for future steak cravings!

This is my very second comment on Yelp. My first comment was writing with the appreciation of…read moredelicious food and nice people, but this one, in contrast, is because I am deeply disappointed. I came here for dinner with my cousin and two friends. We are four young Asian women, and our experience with the service was extremely uncomfortable and disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the attitude we received felt cold, dismissive, and racially biased. When I first said "4 for dining," the waitress did not acknowledge me properly or even look at me. She told us they only had bar-area dining and did not accept walk-ins, but the way she spoke to us was completely emotionless and dismissive. What made it stand out even more was that we had just seen her being very warm and friendly toward an older white male guest, then immediately switching to an "absolute zero" expression when interacting with us. I was speaking Mandarin with my friends while we waited, because that is part of our culture and how we naturally communicate with each other. When I spoke English to the waitress and said we were fine sitting near the bar area, she rolled her eyes. That made us feel judged for speaking Mandarin and deeply unwelcome. Later, when my cousin explained to another waitress that there were no four seats together in the bar area and that we wanted to sit together, that waitress responded with a very exaggerated "Pardon?" even though my cousin spoke clearly. My cousin grew up in Michigan and speaks fluent English. The tone and facial expression made it feel like she was mocking her accent, and she also rolled her eyes. I was born in Las Vegas and raised in Orange County. My cousin, our friends, and I speak Mandarin with each other because we love and embrace our culture. We chose this restaurant because I had previously eaten at another Ruth's Chris in Reno, Nevada, where the food was excellent and the staff were genuinely kind. That is why this visit was especially shocking and disappointing. I do not like "playing the race card," and I do not make accusations like this lightly. But this interaction made all four of us feel singled out, disrespected, and unwelcome. Whether the staff intended it or not, the way we were treated came across as racially biased and completely unacceptable for a restaurant at this price point. For a steakhouse that presents itself as upscale and professional, this level of service was embarrassing. We left feeling offended, disappointed, and honestly shocked. I would not recommend this location to anyone who expects respectful and equal treatment.
