Late this afternoon, I purchased a Souvlaki Shrimp Dinner for an early dinner. The entire dinner was delicious: the shrimp skewers were perfectly grilled, the rice Pilaf was moist, flavorful while the Feta summer salad's dressing had a nice kick. Aside, the mango lemonade was surprisingly delicious--not too sweet and not too tart or sour. I'll return to Great Greek Mediterranean Grill Restaurant for another inhalation session!

I don't know if they change their soup flavors often but this one was lentils with short green rice and it was very very good. I was impressed right away with how friendly he was and one of the kitchen staff saw us and she was just as kind. We ordered a couple of appetizers; one was a dish of olives and 2 types of pickles. It was a nice amount of items. Our absolute favorite was the Toum....a soft whipped dip, Lebanese dip that had LOTS of garlic but not so much that it was overwhelming. We ordered bread to dip into this. It was WONDERFUL. My daughter ordered the chicken pomegranate plate that had chicken that had been marinated in pomegranate and molasses that was on a bed of long grain rice and a salad on the side, which was very fresh and very crisp. I had the chicken shawarma plate which was incredible and my son in law had the lamb kabobs which he really enjoyed. Our waiters were very prompt clearing our dishes bringing boxes along with complimentary baklava that was very tasty and the perfect end to a great meal! Server did offer to let us choose 2 different meats for our two #41 Koobideh plates (2 beef skewers for $25), but I think we would have been better off just ordering one #61 All Koobideh plate (3 different meat skewers for $34). One plate has plenty of basmati rice for two people to share. She suggested the two #41 orders, instead of answering how much an extra order of rice would cost. Maybe you can't order a side of rice? Rice comes with each entree. By ordering the 2nd plate, she offered or included the $8 Bread Basket for no extra charge. It was my friend's birthday. I wanted to pay, and she wanted to order extra to go, so I wanted two separate bills, but it seemed too complicated to explain or disallowed. After the food was delivered to the table, server didn't check on us anymore. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays. My friend thought all the koobideh tasted the same. I liked them in this order: 1) Lamb, 2) Chicken, and 3) Beef, but they're the same texture, so they aren't all that different. I should have ordered a different 2nd entree, instead of two Koobideh plates. The #18 Bademjan Borani eggplant appetizer was yummy. It did come with some bread, so you don't have to order the bread basket. The bread is served warm. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, but not flavorful or buttery. You can pay a $4 upgrade to switch the rice to salad or a fancier stir fried rice. Read the Vegetarian Dishes menu section to learn about the various fried rice or polo preparations. Our server suggested the Fava Bean Rice or Baghali Polo because it is a Persian New Year dish. Yelp reviewers recommended the Zereshk Polo, which includes barberries, a fruit similar to currants. $10 to add a skewer of veggies. $4 to add a salad is mentioned under the Vegetarian Dishes menu and Seafood & Combination Plates menu. I didn't like how the sugar cubes for the Persian Tea were served. It looked communal and exposed to the elements. You could see sugar dust on the serving bowl. Other Persian restaurants serve the sugar in a smaller covered bowl. Formal dining room. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm, excluding holidays. Lunch prices range from $16-$20. 3 different $8 soup offerings: chicken barley, ashe reshteh, or green lentil.
