I've been wanting to come here for some time. Coming with a group of friends we had a great time, and the food was very good. Turkish/Mediterranean food which I particularly enjoy. I was expecting the ambiance to be a bit more upscale but the casual cafe style was quite pleasant. Plus the staff was incredibly professional, friendly and accommodating. They were most patient in giving us time to decide in amongst our chatter. They also gave us time lines for food preperation with certain selections in case we had time constraints, which we didn't. The menu is very broad and interesting. I was intrigued to see the variety of authentic dishes. I especially like eggplant and there's a wide array of eggplant selections. We started with appetizers of Babaganouch and Feta filled Filo pastry. It came with nicely charred pita bread and it all was excellent. I ordered the Lamb Saute that came with rice and pickled vegetables, onions. Overall, I'd say the entree was just OK. I found it didn't have the rich flavor I hoped for, yet everything was fresh and well prepared. I tasted another entree with a smokey eggplant puree (Sultans Delight) and it was exceptional. Now I know what to get next time! We shared desserts of kunefe and rice pudding. I was quite full at that point so just tried the kunefe which was awesome. The consistency with honey blended together beautifully. So tasty. The surprise was the Yogurt drink which I was most curious over. The server kindly brought me a sample to try as it does take an acquired taste. I liked it and got a full tumbler of it. It's rich, refreshing and not what I expected, almost like a buttermilk. I did enjoy it, but not everyone would. I am overjoyed with the array of ethnic restaurants we have in the area and having a great Turkish one makes it all the better. I will be back! read more

Anatolian Table has some of the freshest, most delicious food in Placer County--yes, I said it! As a Southern California native and Bay Area transplant, I've been searching for food of this caliber, and I finally found it. My 7-year-old absolutely inhales the lamb chops every time we go! The restaurant is always spotless (which is a huge deal for me), and I feel completely comfortable dining there. The chefs and staff are professional, warm, and consistently deliver an outstanding experience. Even when we order takeout, every detail is thoughtfully considered. The food is packaged beautifully, and they even add ventilation holes to the containers so my daughter's French fries stay crispy instead of getting soggy. Those little touches say a lot about how much they care. We've become lifelong customers and huge fans of Anatolian Table in Rocklin. And one more thing--the owner is absolutely wonderful, and his wife is an incredibly talented seamstress. If you're looking for an amazing local restaurant to support, this is it. They are a unique appetizer that consists of rice, seasonings, and veggies. I highly recommend this! My favorite main to order is the lamb kabobs. Why? The meat is tender, it's also seasoned well. We had a great meal to celebrate my friend's birthday! We made a reservation for a Friday night, and were greeted with the most inviting smells as soon as we walked in. We also really enjoyed the vibe, as the Turkish lamps and decorative dishware around the dining room were beautiful. We did think it was awkward that they sat us right next to the only other two parties that night, close enough to hear all conversations, while the other (larger) half of the restaurant was totally empty. But our booth faced the open kitchen, where you could see the chefs's heads moving around/hard at work so maybe that was the intent? Now, I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to menus with more than one page. I feel obligated to read every dish, before making a decision. The staff were incredibly helpful in helping me narrow down my options, and I enjoyed the flavors of the adana bowl that I finally chose. We also ordered dolmas and baklava for the table to share. At one point, the owner or chef came out to check how we enjoyed our meals, which was a nice touch. All in all, it was a solid restaurant choice for Mediterranean food in Rocklin. Lunch that took me right back to Turkey We came to Anatolian Table for lunch and were genuinely blown away. The food, the hospitality, the atmosphere, it all reminded me so much of being in Turkey. We started with the spicy hummus, which was creamy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of kick. Easily one of the best I've had outside of Turkey. Then we had the Adana sandwich and the doner kebap, both were perfectly seasoned, tender, and served with fresh, soft bread. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite. Decided to check this place out based on the reviews. The service was attentive and the staff was very welcoming. We started with the babaganoush and baked mushrooms. The eggplant dip was delicious however the mushrooms were just baked and covered with cheese. They had no stuffing and were very underwhelming for $15-def would pass on those next time. I got the chicken casserole based on the servers recommendations and hubby tried the mixed grill. Both were fresh and flavorful. Tiny piece of baklava was $9. I went there a few months ago and tried their lahmajun. It was really good. The meat had the authentic Armenian spice combination I remember tasting every time I go visit my friend in Glendale. Ok, so just for starters, we loved the prior location. They moved to this new location and we wanted to give them our business. We came in on a Saturday early evening, expecting to have a wait. Service is great, and very helpful. We started with the spicy hummus (excellent) which comes with pita. For mains we enjoyed the Lamb Sultan and the Kofte Kebap. Both dishes were as good as we had remembered. No issues there at all. What concerned us was that this new space is one big open dining floor, with a very high ceiling, creating a cafeteria like atmosphere. The prior location had such character and charm, along with a nice outdoor seating area. Here there is nothing... just a big echoey space. And, had there been any other patrons besides us and 2 other booths... you get it. There was nobody there during what should be a busy Saturday dinner hour. Came in on a Sunday afternoon and were surprised to find the restaurant to be relatively empty. We were immediately seated and warmly welcomed. This was our first time eating Turkish food, so we got recommendations for the mixed kebap platter and the Sultan's Delight with Lamb. The food took about 15minutes to arrive and was well worth the wait! I personally loved the rich, creamy eggplant sauce, which reminded me of a creamed spinach. The lamb was excellently spiced and cooked with a little a more chew to it. You could definitely appreciate the lamb flavor without any of the gaminess. All of the kebaps were full of flavor and still juicy. We liked the Adana kebap the most. We like spicy food, but can't tolerate anything super spicy, so the Adana was a great pick. We had the option of getting the kabobs with yogurt instead of the platter with rice, but found that the small cup of yogurt with the platter was plenty. We also ordered Kunefe for dessert, which was a nice, lightly sweet finish to the meal. The mozzarella added a fuller body of flavor and the nuttiness of the pistachio made the bites even better! Our servers checked in on us multiple times during our meal and ran out the door to catch up with us when we forgot our leftover boxes on the table! This spot comes at a steeper price point, but we'd definitely want to come back to try more dishes in the future. read more

Because Placer County has sparse Arabic and Mediterranean restaurants with uncompromising authentically prepared menus, I must rate a five stars based on historically known layers and variation of spices and seasonings identifiable with Turkish cuisine. The menu is not redolent of the usual Middle East fast food choices. It is the type of menu where dining in the restaurant is the best way to enjoy the restaurant's fresh house made foods and even luscious desserts. Luckily for me, it is a short driving distance from my Roseville location. And please try the Kafti, an all cheese dessert with a sultry creamy layer topped with a very crispy surface.
