Wally's Cafe is a lovely family run restaurant featuring Lebanese cuisine. The restaurant has indoor dining with both tables and booths. I was introduced to Wally's through work, we have a workplace tradition of bringing every new hire here, and we even brought the president of the company here for a team lunch because we knew the quality ingredients and stand out service would impress. My favorite menu items include the gyros (both sandwich and plate options-the meat is tender and juicy), the lamb kebab, the baba ganoush, hummus, and the Lebanese lemonade. The lemonades are some of the best I've ever had, no exaggeration. The serving sizes are generous! The service is wonderful, each employee takes customer service seriously, and is polite and accommodating. My favorite server here is Noah. When Noah takes care of you, you feel welcomed and like extended family. Thanks for making my dining experience special and treating me like family, Wally's! We will tell our friends, family and colleagues to come and try the amazing menu selections.

    Lentil Soup and Hummus

This was our first time at the restaurant to pick up some takeout. The parking is a little tight but we were able to find a spot. We were greeted right away and asked if we were picking up food or eating in. After we let them know we were picking up they had the food ready quickly. There are quite a few tables to enjoy your food there. The staff were very friendly and helped several people while we were waiting. There is a small bar area also. We ordered the hummus as well as the Chicken Shawarma pita and fries. We also received the Lentil soup as a side. The hummus was delicious. The Chicken Shawarma pita had a bit too much garlic but otherwise was good and the fries were good. We also really enjoyed the Lentil soup. Great flavors and a little bit of rice with it. After looking at pictures of those who have eaten at the restaurant we would like to try one or two of the plates as well as the baklava.

I had heard about Wally's for ages from a coworker, but since it's not local to me, I never had a chance to try it--until yesterday when I found myself in Rocklin. I'm so glad I finally did. The restaurant itself is small and charming, with a cozy, casual feel. There are a handful of tables inside, but it's definitely more on the intimate side. We were greeted right away, and Nolan helped us get seated. As soon as we sat down, Nolan offered us complimentary lentil soup, which was such a thoughtful touch. Only my husband and son were planning to order food, and since my son isn't big on soup, my husband asked for just one. Nolan kindly double-checked and even offered to pack extra to go, which we thought was incredibly considerate. The soup itself was a hit. It was rich, aromatic, and full of warm Middle Eastern spices. My husband couldn't stop talking about how flavorful it was. He ordered the beef and lamb gyro wrap with fries, along with baba ganoush and the Lebanese mint lemonade. I had read in another Yelp review that the lemonade was a must-try, and wow, they were not exaggerating. It was easily the best lemonade we've ever had. It was perfectly balanced between sweet and tart, incredibly refreshing, with fresh mint throughout and a beautiful mint garnish. Truly standout. The food overall was excellent. The gyro wrap was well-seasoned and packed with flavor, and the portion size was generous. The baba ganoush was also delicious, creamy, smoky, and clearly made fresh. My husband enjoyed everything so much that he ordered a chicken shawarma wrap to go. To top it all off, Nolan brought out four complimentary pieces of baklava at the end. What I appreciated most was that it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet like traditional baklava. It had just the right amount of sweetness without being drenched in syrup. The ambiance was calm and relaxed, and while there is only one restroom, everything felt clean and well kept. The service here truly stood out. Nolan went above and beyond to make the experience feel warm and welcoming, and that level of hospitality does not go unnoticed. We will absolutely be back next time we're in the area.

I got the lentil soup and it was AMAZING! This was my favorite part of the meal. I also got a beef shawarma wrap but wasn't a fan of it. It came with onions. Would've been nice to have more toppings like lettuce and tomato. Also had a piece of baklava and it was tasty! I'd come back just for the yummy lentil soup! Great service here.

    Labne with Toum

I had the pleasure of trying this place for the first time at a Yelp Elite event last year, and I could not wait to come back and give it a proper review, so here I am. The atmosphere is casual, warm, and inviting, with music and quick service from the staff. Waters and complimentary lentil soup came out right away. We ordered labneh with toum for the table to share, along with the gyro plate and the pomegranate chicken plate. The labneh was very nice and light, amazing with pita. It is kind of like a thicker yogurt but very refreshing. The plates are huge, and I fell in love with their gyros the first time I came, they are so flavorful. The salad is fresh, and the olives in it are especially briny and good. The rice pilaf is buttery and well cooked, and the tzatziki on the side is excellent. Everything is packed with great flavor. Their famous pomegranate chicken was also delicious with a deep shawarma seasoning flavor. The Lebanese mint lemonade was another highlight. It was fresh, tart, and refreshing. Everything here is done really well, and the meal ends with a perfect complimentary baklava. It is bite sized, not dense, but instead light, airy, and mildly sweet. So good I could eat a ton of them. Love this spot. It deserves its spot in the Yelp Top 100.

Kofta Kafta Wrap with French Fries

I always love Wally's and it is a favorite local spot. The workers are always so friendly and gives a family restaurant atmosphere. I tried their kofta wrap for the first time and it was ground beef with onion, spices and pickled onion. Very simple but delicious! Their fries always are super freshly made and piping hot. My husband got the beef shawarma plate that comes with rice, protein, salad and flatbreads. Every entree comes with free lentil soup and baklava at the end. I didn't take a picture because these are delicious and disappear in seconds. Also something new on their menu is baklava ice cream! They ran out of it during dinner time so I'll have to try it next time I go!

We stopped by this location yesterday evening for dinner, Lentil Soup comes with your meal which is great! I should have taken more videos, but as you can see my eldest ordered the Shrimp Kabobs Plate that came with Pita Bread. For dessert we decided to order some Baklava, Baklava Ice Cream and Sherbet to celebrate my birthday! My daughters and I enjoyed our meals! I've been wanting to visit since they made it to Yelp Top 100, #6 this year! This location opened in 2017! Busy, but sweet staff, great owners and plenty of seating for my birthday dinner! Even ran into another Yelper, Michelle L! SYOY! :-)

I kept seeing the reviews of this place pop up every now and then and been wanting to try it. The name is lack luster and does not really tell you what kind of food it is. It is a little hidden next to a Starbucks. You cannot see it from the street and GPS was not helpful either, but alas we found it. We walk in and it is a diner-ish atmosphere. The menu is Mediterranean Greek type food. Our go-to items are a Gyro for hubs and a steak kabob plate for me. The prices were a little more than expected. My kabobs were $25. They bring out complimentary bowl of lentil soup for each patron. Wait time was normal 15-20 mins. I enjoyed my first bite down to the last! even the salad was great. I kept saying Mmmmnnn as I ate. The meat was so tender, juicy, and flavorful! Usually the meat is tough at other places. All ingredients tasted ultra fresh. I even ate the cucumbers in the salad and I hate cucumbers. My husband for the first time did not pick off the tomato and ate it without hesitation! Service was great! Then if I could not think it could be better, they offer you a complimentary small slice of baklava to end your meal for dessert which was wonderfully flaky and not too sweet and baklava was never my favorite before either. This experience was unique and quite tasty! I give 5 stars because it truly was memorable and can't wait to go back!

Veggie Sampler Plate HUGE amount of food!
    Liberty G.

I finally got to visit Wally's Cafe in Rocklin for a lunch break and now I understand all the hype. Using their website, I pre-ordered the veggie sampler plate, a Lebanese mint lemonade, a large lentil soup, and a beef lamb Gyro wrap. Everything was fantastic, made with high-quality, fresh ingredients, generously portioned, perfectly seasoned and more importantly not too salty! The veggie sampler plate was for myself which included pita bread and a cup of lentil soup (as pictured). The gyro wrap and bowl of lentil soup was for my mom. We both absolutely loved our food and the huge servings gave us delicious leftovers for the next day. The cafe was very busy, but upon walking in, Wally himself greeted me with a huge friendly smile. I especially appreciated that he oversaw the preparation of my lemonade, ensuring the mint garnish was perfect. I can't wait for my next visit to dine in and try more items with my family.

I had very high expectations coming here seeing that Wally's was recently ranked 6th on Yelp's top 100 restaurants of 2025. I'm delighted to say Wally's lived up to the hype! We were wowed by the complimentary lentil soup (super good and flavorful btw!) and how smooth the hummus was. The salad was also extremely fresh and vibrant. My husband loved his chicken shawarma, and the falafel was the best I've ever had: light but filling, not greasy, crispy just enough. Portions were also hearty. Moreover, the baklava was incredible-not sticky, sweet enough, and bite sized. We were given some complimentary samples at the end. Customer service was also outstanding. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, even as my toddlers danced to Lebanese music. I felt as if I was dining at the home of a new friend. We will for sure be back. Thank you!!

Super yummy food! I had the gyro and it was huge, packed with thick-cut lamb and beef. The tzatziki sauce was cool and refreshing, the perfect balance to the rich meat. My meal came with lentil soup and baklava--both delicious and just the right amount. I also ordered a mint lemonade based on another Yelper's review. It wasn't on the menu, but they made it for me and it was absolutely amazing! Service was friendly and attentive, and the space was clean and comfortable. On my way out, I noticed they also have a huge wine selection, so I'll definitely have to come back and explore that too. Highly recommend!

Excellent customer service, delicious chicken shawarma wrap, homestyle lentil soup was comforting, onion rings were fried to perfection. I enjoyed every bite and the restaurant was super clean, staff very attentive and friendly

Still delicious and fresh food! We went in for lunch on a weekday and they were pretty busy. The parking lot is fairly small but we snagged a spot as someone left. Always appreciate the free lentil soup and baklava :)

There was not a single thing on the entire plate that was not delicious. The meat was perfectly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The salad dressing was vinegary and refreshing! Server did offer to let us choose 2 different meats for our two #41 Koobideh plates (2 beef skewers for $25), but I think we would have been better off just ordering one #61 All Koobideh plate (3 different meat skewers for $34). One plate has plenty of basmati rice for two people to share. She suggested the two #41 orders, instead of answering how much an extra order of rice would cost. Maybe you can't order a side of rice? Rice comes with each entree. By ordering the 2nd plate, she offered or included the $8 Bread Basket for no extra charge. It was my friend's birthday. I wanted to pay, and she wanted to order extra to go, so I wanted two separate bills, but it seemed too complicated to explain or disallowed. After the food was delivered to the table, server didn't check on us anymore. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays. My friend thought all the koobideh tasted the same. I liked them in this order: 1) Lamb, 2) Chicken, and 3) Beef, but they're the same texture, so they aren't all that different. I should have ordered a different 2nd entree, instead of two Koobideh plates. The #18 Bademjan Borani eggplant appetizer was yummy. It did come with some bread, so you don't have to order the bread basket. The bread is served warm. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, but not flavorful or buttery. You can pay a $4 upgrade to switch the rice to salad or a fancier stir fried rice. Read the Vegetarian Dishes menu section to learn about the various fried rice or polo preparations. Our server suggested the Fava Bean Rice or Baghali Polo because it is a Persian New Year dish. Yelp reviewers recommended the Zereshk Polo, which includes barberries, a fruit similar to currants. $10 to add a skewer of veggies. $4 to add a salad is mentioned under the Vegetarian Dishes menu and Seafood & Combination Plates menu. I didn't like how the sugar cubes for the Persian Tea were served. It looked communal and exposed to the elements. You could see sugar dust on the serving bowl. Other Persian restaurants serve the sugar in a smaller covered bowl. Formal dining room. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm, excluding holidays. Lunch prices range from $16-$20. 3 different $8 soup offerings: chicken barley, ashe reshteh, or green lentil.
