The service is really good, and the food is top tier for authentic kabob, the steak kabob is really realllly good! I'm not vegan but if I was I'd eat here daily, their olive salad (not sure of the name at the moment) is absolutely delicious, grilled veggies are cooked perfectly. Kolbeh Kabob serves Persian and Mediterranean cuisine. Language barrier issues with our server affected my ability to order what I wanted, led to an upsell, and prevented me from separating or splitting the bill. Server did offer to let us choose 2 different meats for our two #41 Koobideh plates (2 beef skewers for $25), but I think we would have been better off just ordering one #61 All Koobideh plate (3 different meat skewers for $34). One plate has plenty of basmati rice for two people to share. She suggested the two #41 orders, instead of answering how much an extra order of rice would cost. Maybe you can't order a side of rice? Rice comes with each entree. By ordering the 2nd plate, she offered or included the $8 Bread Basket for no extra charge. It was my friend's birthday. I wanted to pay, and she wanted to order extra to go, so I wanted two separate bills, but it seemed too complicated to explain or disallowed. After the food was delivered to the table, server didn't check on us anymore. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays. My friend thought all the koobideh tasted the same. I liked them in this order: 1) Lamb, 2) Chicken, and 3) Beef, but they're the same texture, so they aren't all that different. I should have ordered a different 2nd entree, instead of two Koobideh plates. The #18 Bademjan Borani eggplant appetizer was yummy. It did come with some bread, so you don't have to order the bread basket. The bread is served warm. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, but not flavorful or buttery. You can pay a $4 upgrade to switch the rice to salad or a fancier stir fried rice. Read the Vegetarian Dishes menu section to learn about the various fried rice or polo preparations. Our server suggested the Fava Bean Rice or Baghali Polo because it is a Persian New Year dish. Yelp reviewers recommended the Zereshk Polo, which includes barberries, a fruit similar to currants. $10 to add a skewer of veggies. $4 to add a salad is mentioned under the Vegetarian Dishes menu and Seafood & Combination Plates menu. I didn't like how the sugar cubes for the Persian Tea were served. It looked communal and exposed to the elements. You could see sugar dust on the serving bowl. Other Persian restaurants serve the sugar in a smaller covered bowl. Formal dining room. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm, excluding holidays. Oh wow,never knew this place existed.Have been missing out! Came up to visit my mom and found this place that's close to her house. We had the chicken breasts kabobs,yogurt mint sauce,hummus,dolmas,eggplant dip,side salad and lots of pita bread! Second time eating here, today we did takeout instead of dine in. Even though I missed the ambiance of the restaurant as well as the wonderful wine the takeout food was delicious. The portions were the same as dine in and just as flavorful and tasty. Service was excellent and fast, even though I can not pronounce most menu items, they took my card right over the phone and had my order ready when I arrived. The restaurant owner is rude to customers. He doesn't care what they say. He doesn't care about the health of his customers. This is a violation of food preparation rules. Look at the photo below of what they prepared for me for takeout at this restaurant. A "Koobideh Kabob" never crumbles into small pieces after cooking, but this kabob crumbled into tiny pieces, like beach sand. This suggests the owner mixed o lot of cheap different ingredients. In general, improperly mixing ingredients can cause an upset stomach, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and sometimes even food poisoning. After eating a two small pieces this Kabob, I had stomach pain and vomited. It smelled and tasted like fish. read more

This place is great. I've been coming here since 2014 I think, but since it's a little out of the way for me, I come here only once or twice a year. This year, I brought my Persian friends who were visiting from Europe here, and they were all so impressed and had such a wonderful time and the staff were so amazing. The waitress who served us, was a cheerful, pleasant lady who decided to show off her amazing memory by remembering and quickly rehearsing the entire order (including appetizers and mains and drinks) for all 11 of us in one breath without having taken a single note which was very entertaining. Everyone's food was great. The only thing that we didn't love was the dolmas which kinda tasted like the canned ones. Like it didn't have that homemade Persian dolma taste, idk why. But we had barg kabob, shish kabob, joojeh kabob, veggie kabobs, bademjoon, gheimeh, mast moosir, and of course the dolmeh. Everything was cooked to perfection and everyone loved their food very much. the ambiance was amazing too, and we were never rushed. One of our guests had brought his poetry book to gift to us all, and at the end of our dinner, he stood up, spoke to us, and then read one of his favorite poems for us. At no point did we feel rushed, or awkward during the whole dinner which was also very awesome. This Persian restaurant is so underrated. The service is great - only qualm is they like to sandwich your party between two full tables, so it makes one feel a bit uncomfortable. It's an adorable little restaurant and the food and service were both excellent. We were a party of 7, including a vegetarian, and everyone had something different, all of it seasoned and cooked to perfection. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, the vegetables were perfect, the meat tender, and the house made Persian ice cream was refreshing and delightful, and the lavash, hummus, and garlic and shallot dip were perfect. The eggplant (badam-joon) and baba ganoosh was really, really fatty and creamy. The yogurt dip (maast) was also full fat yogurt, a real treat. The rice was great, and the service and ambience were just extremely welcoming and lush and tastefully decorated. NOTE: Everyone has their own idea of what "real" or "authentic" Persian food is, and it's usually however their grandma (mamanjoon) made it growing up. This cook is not your mamanjoon, so it's not going to taste just like that. Some complaints about flavor seem to ignore that this is a very fat-forward preparation (over lower-fat but higher-spice).
