When I saw that they do have a weekend lunch buffet I knew I had to come over and try it. I really like Indian food and I do like trying different variety of curries and dishes when I am at a Indian restaurant. Lunch buffet would be the best option which is Affordable and it is only for $20. They have a wide selection of meats to vegetarian and really nice rice and biryani's. Also the lunch buffet do you come with some non and we got to try out there garlic naan which is my favorite. . In the lunch buffet there is a green Chicken Tika Which is Blended with Green spices and it was very moist chicken And had so much flavor . They also had a red Blended spices with curry and chicken it was very different and it was bone fall off and it wasn't too spicy but very flavorful. They also had a goat haleem which is Blended with mutton and wheat or lentils to make it very smooth like porridge and filled with stringy tender meat. I also like their song paneer which is a spinach and cheese which was really great vegetarian option in the buffet. I also like their zera rice which is a flavor basmati rice with dry onions on top which was really great. They're chicken biryani was very flavorful and I also like the fluffy rice and spices in it. They're tandoori chicken kabob was boneless and it was cut into cubes and it was really good and tender but it was a little bit salty for my tasting. Also they do have great selection for desserts gulab jamun like a fried donut with syrup and rice pudding too. . The service was really great and they were attended with refilling our water and asking if everything was okay. The Ambiance is casual and they have plenty of seating with a booth or table of your choice. . Overall If you're looking for an affordable Buffet this is a great opportunity to come try out new dishes from South and North India Cuisine. I also got to try their mutton Mandi off the menu which is a big platter filled with lots of flavor Biryani rice with spices, nuts like cashew and almond and dry onions and in the middle there is three giant pieces of tender flavorful mutton. This is a great platter to share with friends and family. . Also they have butter chicken here, the sauce is thick and flavorful and the chicken was moist and it was white chicken meat. All the meat here is served as Halal which I really like because the texture of the meat is usually more tender and juicy. . I also got to try cheese naan bread which was cheesy and my favorite is still there garlic naan which is thin and they really oven it to crispy and I really like that. The aroma of the garlic is just so irresistible good. Hope this review helps. Thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day.

This place is a Hidden Gem! Everything we ate here was flavorful, spicy and delicious. What a good find in the Fair Oaks area for lunch or dinner. Many options with the Daily buffet. The servers were very nice too.

Had a great experience at Biryani and Beyond. We stopped here while driving and were really impressed with the flavors and variety. Everything tasted fresh and well made. We tried the Chicken 65, boneless goat haleem, Chicken Dum Biryani (true Hyderabadi style), and Chicken Mandi -- all were flavorful and satisfying. The biryani especially stood out with its aroma and spice level. We also enjoyed the badam kheer and matka chai, which were a perfect way to end the meal. Service was friendly, portions were generous, and it felt like a great spot for anyone craving authentic Indian food. Definitely a solid stop, especially if you're on the way to Tahoe or nearby. Will be coming back again!

Really cozy amazing spot Staff is really nice and knowledgeable. I picked out the grilled fish and chicken kebab. They were both wonderful, plenty of seasoning cooked to perfection and you get the most amazing portions for a great price They have parking which is super easy and the food comes out very quickly almost no wait times and it all tastes amazingly fresh Family friendly kids are welcomed

This is the perfect spot for a late night meal! They open later than most in the area and the food was amazing. Adeeb was super kind to us and brought out our food on time for takeout. It was nicely packed and delicious. We had the hakka noodles, reshmi kabob, and chicken dumplings biryani. All delicious with large portions. Very affordable price as well! The space is large with lots of dining space and clean! We will definitely be back and check them out. Amazing biryani and legit kabob!!

If you're craving authentic Indian street food in the Sacramento area, stop everything and head straight to Biryani and Beyond at 8121 Madison Ave, Fair Oaks! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance hits you with Desi vibes off the charts--colorful, energetic, and full of life! Hafeez, the amazing manager, makes you feel right at home with his hospitality and passion for great food! Let's talk about the food... OH MY GOL GAPPE!! I had the Pav, which came out hot, fresh, and soft like clouds, with a slight hint of sugar that made it absolutely addictive! Perfect to soak up any curry or just eat as-is! But the real star of the show... the Gol Gappes (aka Pushkas, Pani Puris... whatever you call them, they're LEGENDARY here!) They were the best I've ever had, and I've had a LOT--even back in Hyderabad! The puris were ultra-crunchy, the pani had the most divine blend of tamarind, cumin, coriander, and just the right kick! The raw onions tucked inside added the perfect bite. I had 6... but I could've easily polished off 5 more This place is a street food lover's dream come true! I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu--maybe some chaat, kebabs, or of course, the biryani! Massive shoutout to Hafeez and the team for bringing a taste of Hyderabad to Fair Oaks! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience authentic Indian flavors with street food soul!

Decided to try the new Indian restaurant in the FO for my birthday. We went as a group of seven, which is great because we just ordered a little of everything and got to try a bunch of stuff. I love Indian food, LOVE it, and this might be the best I've had in the Sacramento area so far. Everything is extremely fresh, made to order, at the exact spicy level you order it at, and the service is impeccable. Do yourself a favor and run, don't walk, to this place and get ready for a tasty adventure. Don't forget to start with the Panipuri Shots! Their take on the Indian street food classic is insanely tasty and fun to eat!

    "Chicken 65" - appetizers
    Benji R.

Clean, simple, cafe with nice friendly staff. Had "Chicken 65": small morsels of fried chicken basted with very tasty sauce. Lamb Chop ribettes on hot sizzling pan on grilled red onions, "Mutton Marsala" (tender bits of mutton in rich spiced gravy) unfortunately it was too spicy for me so I took it home, added lentil soup & rice. Perfect!

Meat was very tender. Very little gamey flavor from the mutton. Service was good. It was a little warm inside though. Nice ambience.

Last dish we ended up taking home.

The place was clean but the carpet and tile floors made it look like it was under renovation. The 4 items that we ordered took awhile to come to the table, one at a time with significant time in between each one so we were full by the time the chicken rashmi kebab arrived. Overall everything was good. The chicken in the Pakistani biryani dish was delicious but the rice was bland. The non-alcoholic panipuri shots with savory puffs were spicy and refreshing. Ordered both butter and garlic naans and garlic naan was definitely better. The chicken rashmi kebab was delicious but by the time it finally came out, we were full from the chicken biryani, naan and panipuri shots so we took it home. It was delicious overall but the bright lights, partial tile over carpeted floors and tile wall border and LED tube lights was more mismatched than eclectic. When renovations are done we will be back.

The day we went, we were looking for sandwiches to eat. Seeing the active smoker outside, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was BBQ Day! The drinks were refreshing, the sides were so good I ordered more to go, and the meats were very tender & juicy. There was also a side of complimentary pickles that came with the meats that were quite tasty! My only criticism was the cornbread, hubby liked it but I thought it was too dry. Looking at the containers, it doesn't look like a lot of meat but we did have some leftovers. I see that their menu varies so I need to check them out soon and try their other BBQ offerings. What a wonderful surprise!…read more I was in the mood for kebabs and headed to my usual spot, only to find it closed. Rather than give up, I decided to try this Afghan restaurant--and I am so glad I did! The lamb kebab was absolutely outstanding: tender, flavorful, and packed with spices that complemented the meat perfectly. Best of all, it wasn't overly salty, which allowed all of the rich flavors to shine through. The rice was equally impressive--perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and delicious enough to enjoy all by itself. In fact, the food was so good that I've already ordered it twice! When I got home, I shared some with my parents. After just one taste, they immediately put away the dinner they had planned to make and asked for the restaurant's address. Before long, I was ordering delivery for them too. That's how good it is. It's not often that I discover a new favorite restaurant, but this place has absolutely earned that distinction. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Afghan cuisine, I highly recommend giving them a try. You may find yourself becoming a regular just like I plan to be! Thank you for such a wonderful meal. I also had the beef and lamb Shawarma. Beef, lamb, veggies, tzatziki sauce, and their. Artichoke and pesto hummus. The sandwich was good, but I wasn't a fan of the flatbread. It reminded me basically of a tortilla. It would've been nicer if this could've been on a pita, instead of a flatbread. Also, the artichoke and pesto hummus, there was very little of it in the Shawarma. What little was good, but I could hardly taste it. That tzatziki itself was tangy and good. Not counting the DoorDash fees, I thought that the prices were a bit high. The food was OK. I'm glad I tried it.

Server did offer to let us choose 2 different meats for our two #41 Koobideh plates (2 beef skewers for $25), but I think we would have been better off just ordering one #61 All Koobideh plate (3 different meat skewers for $34). One plate has plenty of basmati rice for two people to share. She suggested the two #41 orders, instead of answering how much an extra order of rice would cost. Maybe you can't order a side of rice? Rice comes with each entree. By ordering the 2nd plate, she offered or included the $8 Bread Basket for no extra charge. It was my friend's birthday. I wanted to pay, and she wanted to order extra to go, so I wanted two separate bills, but it seemed too complicated to explain or disallowed. After the food was delivered to the table, server didn't check on us anymore. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays. My friend thought all the koobideh tasted the same. I liked them in this order: 1) Lamb, 2) Chicken, and 3) Beef, but they're the same texture, so they aren't all that different. I should have ordered a different 2nd entree, instead of two Koobideh plates. The #18 Bademjan Borani eggplant appetizer was yummy. It did come with some bread, so you don't have to order the bread basket. The bread is served warm. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, but not flavorful or buttery. You can pay a $4 upgrade to switch the rice to salad or a fancier stir fried rice. Read the Vegetarian Dishes menu section to learn about the various fried rice or polo preparations. Our server suggested the Fava Bean Rice or Baghali Polo because it is a Persian New Year dish. Yelp reviewers recommended the Zereshk Polo, which includes barberries, a fruit similar to currants. $10 to add a skewer of veggies. $4 to add a salad is mentioned under the Vegetarian Dishes menu and Seafood & Combination Plates menu. I didn't like how the sugar cubes for the Persian Tea were served. It looked communal and exposed to the elements. You could see sugar dust on the serving bowl. Other Persian restaurants serve the sugar in a smaller covered bowl. Formal dining room. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm, excluding holidays.
