Where do I start. I ordered over the phone 4 dishes and when my husband got home from picking up the food 2 dishes were not there. I called and the lady stated what is your address and we will drop them off. 45 min. later no food I called again and repeated my address agin. She then called me back after I phoned her that the food was not delivered. She again asked for my address. The food arrived it is was cold the bread basket was not delivered instead more pita bread. Someone there needs to know how to speak english more fluently. Will not be back. read more

This restaurant is my personal "best of". The quality, the flavors, home made, and family recipes are all divine!! Here's my list of favorites. Bademjam Borani is succulent. I order extra Dolmeh just so I can have some the next day. The green salad is packed with flavor. I always order the beef Koobideh plate with its fragrant saffron rice and roasted tomato. If you want a flavor explosion order the Fesanjan. This is a chicken stew and wow, it's awesome. If I had one complaint it's that service can be slow sometimes. Sometimes it's spot on. The presentation was nice and the place had a good vibe. But unfortunately, the prices were much higher than what's listed on their website -- around 57% more, which felt misleading. That kind of pricing difference is disappointing and feels a bit deceptive. Also, the meat didn't taste fresh, and that affected the overall quality of the meal. First time here. The servings are huge. I ordered the chicken koobideh over rice. It was ok, I am not a fan of the texture but the flavor was good. Next time I would try the chicken thigh kabob. The hummis, tzatziki and stewed. Eggplant dish was yummy. Prices for a meal are high, expect to spend about $35 per person. They were served with pita, which isn't my favorite, but the two dishes were so delicious that it didn't matter. We then shared a beef soltani and it hit the spot! This place is hit or miss nowadays... Unfortunately, this time it was a big miss! The khoresht-e-Gheime Bodemjon had absolutely NO eggplant, despite the dish's name. How is that possible? Also, the Khoresht-e-Fesenjon tasted off. There was something missing... I think the kitchen staff was either tired or overworked or both. This was an epic fail this time. Not to mention, the Mohst Khiar was lacking enough flavor as well. The overall taste was not authentic. To top it all off, the side salad was thrown together like someone was in a major rush to get out of there and go home. This place used to be the go to for Persian food in North County. Now, it has sadly gone way downhill due to staffing in the kitchen and lack of oversight from the Owners. Took my girlfriend there for her first time. She loved it. I've eaten there 6-7 times over the last 5 years or so and it's great every time. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a nice classic Persian feel on the inside and the food is consistently very good. I had the grilled lamb and lamb koobideh combo last time and I can't wait to go back for more. The service was also very good and the prices reasonable. Very nice service and pretty ambiance. It doesn't looks modern but looks like a traditional Persian restaurant. Love the ceiling. There was only one table when we arrived but many more tables arrived while we dined. We love love love the appetizers. The fresh herbs were so nice along with our humus, salad, and mint yogurt. I would honestly go back just for that alone. They have tadig but it's not really yummy. It tasted more like days old rice that was crusty on the bottom and then tried to fry it. It was a very chewy texture, not crispy. The chicken with pomegranate and walnuts on top were too sweet for us but that's just our preference. The best tadig we had at a restaurant was served to us as a very thin layer of rice where the top was crispy and seasoned and had a pretty color on top. On to the entrees. BD loved his ground beef with herbs. I asked for beef and lamb. Personally for me I needed to add more salt and a splash of acid (we got lemon) to it. With feta and the fresh mint the meal was delicious. Kiddo got the lamb shish leek which is a rack of lamb and a skewer of veggies. It was DELICIOUS! Would definitely order again. Next time I'd like to try their other dishes like the stew. But I would absolutely come back for their appetizers and the lamb dish. read more

We were offered with ice cold water before even asking whether expecting room temperature water or chilled water. This is one of my family's favorite restaurants in the Sacramento area. Food - AMAZING! Best filet mignon I've ever had! All their meat is delicious. And I don't know what they do to their rice , but I can never put it down. Ambiance - it is not very noises with classical music playing in the background. I find it elegant, but not overly fancy. Service - everyone is always very nice and friendly. The waiters check in regularly. They are also quite efficient! My food came out quite quickly. We met some friends at this restaurant recently on a Tuesday night about 7:30pm. We walked in, and there was only one other table occupied. The restaurant is beautifully, decorated and cozy with large round tables for larger groups. The service was efficient, but she rushed us terribly. As soon as she brought our wine, she came to take our order. We had not seen our friends for a while so we wanted to chat for a few minutes. I told her I wasn't ready to order, but she stood there and took everyone else's order. My husband was still looking at his menu as well. So she rushed us to make a decision about our order. The proper thing to do would have been to come back in five minutes until everyone was ready to order. Also, we had questions about the menu and she was very short with us when she answered them. Courteous, but short like she was in a rush. My husband felt that his meat should have come with some dipping sauce. He asked if they had tzatziki sauce and she said they did. She brought him a tiny plastic container to dip his meat into. When we got our bill, she had charged him an extra $6 for this tiny amount of sauce. I thought the food was good and chicken well cooked. It was nothing special, however, and my husband said his meat was dry. That's why he wanted dipping sauce. We were surprised the waitress came back so quickly to give us the bill. The restaurant closes 9pm and she came back at 8:15 with the bill. I was still eating my food. She kept coming back to make sure we paid the bill so we felt rushed to pay right away! At 8:30 PM she ran out of the restaurant like she was late for something. Obviously she had personal business to take care of and that's why she rushed us. There were no other servers in the restaurant that I could see that could've taken over. I thought the whole thing was odd and lacking courtesy for the customer. We will most likely not be coming back. It's really annoying when a server rushes us in a restaurant, especially when they're not closing and there's not many people in there in the first place. read more

They are right up the street from us and we occasionally get kabob's from them. I love it! I'm a 1/2 breed Persian-American so I can't always be trusted regarding Iranian things... but Persian food is something I truly enjoy and I feel I know when it's done poorly. Kolbeh Kabob is delicious, the staff and owner are very accomodating and friendly, and the ambiance is typically Iranian :). My Persian mother approves of it which isn't always a given. Good Iranian food tends to be a bit expensive but Kolbeh Kabob is reasonable - go at lunch and eat in if you want the least expensive but either way it's worth it.
