Guy's Over the Top Chicken Salad is what I didn't know I wanted
    Liberty G.

There's a reason this shop has made Yelp's Top 100 nationally more than once! So much has already been said about the top notch customer service and the quality of the food that I won't regurgitate it all, I'll just add to the praise. After just two sandwiches, Guy's is already in my personal Top 5. I am incredibly picky about chicken salad (when it's not my own) but Guy's version is about 99% of the way to my heart. But then I ordered their the secret menu item the Life Changer aka Guy's Over the Top Chicken Salad. Game over. It slayed. I'm dead. I could have easily eaten ten of them. My mouth is craving one every week, even if my wallet isn't. As I'm writing this, my stomach is sobbing because they're closed on Mondays. The prices are spot on for the quality you get. If they charged a little more, I wouldn't be mad. They use high quality ingredients, well curated combinations, and the servings are generous and hearty. I'm already planning to try their soups for next time.

    Excellent sandwich and chili

We went to Guy's bast on reviews and were greeted by friendly staff. Very clean restaurant with plenty of seating. We took all the recommendations from staff and highly enjoyed our meal!

Turkey and Swiss sandwich from the secret menu, can't remember the name, but it's a girls name

Pics. I totally forgot I didn't post any pictures on my original review. Here's a couple from the other day :) I love how every sandwich feels like it's made with care. Even my turkey sandwich although it was not a grilled cheese, the cheese was melted on the sandwich, but the bread (which I changed to whole wheat from a roll that was standard on the sandwich) was untoasted, it was warm and, delicious. My husband got his go too, the triple pig, and he was very happy with it as well. I also got a cup of the chicken noodle soup which was so flavorful, but be careful cause their soups are incredibly hot! The service here is always top-notch! So good!

I came here for lunch on my own the other day, and this is hands down my favorite spot for a hot pastrami sandwich. I don't usually order hot pastrami, but this is the one place that always changes my mind. It is sooo good! The cheese melts perfectly, the spicy mustard adds just the right kick, and I always add onions for a little extra crunch. I actually love sitting in there and enjoying lunch on my own it's such a comfortable, easygoing spot. Best hot pastrami in town, no question. To top it off, Guy at the counter is so sweet and fun to talk to. He'll even let you sample the chili, which is also super good I've grabbed that to go more than once! Highly recommend for a quick, delicious lunch with great service.

Pretty good sandwich place. Portions are large and service is friendly. I had the "Life Changing" chicken sandwich. It was good, but probably too hyperbolic to call it life changing. It has a bit of a spicy kick, so be prepared for that. Husband had the soup and 1/2 sandwich combo which he gave a thumbs up.

    Chicken soup & meatball sub
    Sharon S.

What a hidden gem! The staff is friendly, witty, and so knowledgeable! It was my husband and i's first time in and so they let us sample their chili & chicken soup. Both were delicious! My husband ordered the meatball sub and a small portion of the soup that was topped with homemade croutons. I ordered the nor cal sub on sourdough with all the fixings. Wow, the bread was so soft and flavorful and I appreciated they did not skimp on the deli meat. Overall a wonderful sandwich shop!

Whenever I'm in Roseville, this is my favorite place for my favorite sandwich, the over the top chicken salad sandwich! The owner is always there and always gives the best service and it's always clean! I got a half sandwich with soup, the half sandwich as big as some spots full sandwich. Hands down this place has the best chicken salad sandwich.

This is our all time favorite place to have the best chicken salad sandwich! The service is always welcoming family feels and don't forget to grab a chocolate chip cookie on the way out it will be the cherry on the top. The chicken salad sandwich is my all time favorite it has pieces of apples for the sweetness and texture of a crunchy goodness. Always good vibes when we visit guys !

Got the club with chicken salad and it was soooooo delicious!! Worth every Penny with slightly melted cheese-yes please. Wish it was in Rocklin.

The Kathy on Dutch crunch without onions
    Mia T.

This sandwich was definitely worth the drive. I ordered the "Kathy" off the secret menu and it was super filling and full of flavor. Stock full of meat and veggies with not too much spread that the sandwich is wet. I also subbed in Dutch crunch bread as I can only get it when out in the bay or sac area. If you're a fan, I recommend doing the same. I came right at opening and received my sandwich within 10 minutes. There's a good amount of seating inside as well. A must stop for lunch in Roseville

I stopped in at Guys for Lunch and tried the chicken salad sandwich, and it really hit the spot. The sandwich was fresh, the bread was soft, and the chicken salad had a nice balance of flavor. What I especially liked was the little kick of spice--it wasn't overwhelming, just enough to give it some personality. You can tell they put thought into the seasoning. The portion size was generous without being too heavy, which made it a perfect lunch. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, so it's definitely a place I'd come back to when I want something tasty and satisfying in the middle of the day. This is my go to after a visit to the dmv.

Guy's for Lunch attracted me with its 1,000+ reviews and 5 star rating. I was in the area, plus craving a sandwich and remembered that I previously book marked Guy's - so my experience begins!... I logged onto the website to place a pick up order around 1:35pm, with a pick up time at 2pm. I arrived at Guy's at 1:53pm and as I was standing in line, a worker placed my order in the pick up area, talk about perfect timing! The workers were very nice, greeted me and said thank you on my way out. My husband ordered "The Awesome" with consisted of Turkey, salami, cheddar, avocado, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, mustard and mayo. This is a real hearty, thick, filling sandwich. Very fresh! I opted to build my own sandwich. Of course I built the perfect roast beef sandwich with alllll the fixin's. I loved how fresh the bread tasted. The ratio of veggies to meat was perfect. I was only able to eat half of my sandwich, so yay for left overs! There's a few reasons this spot has over 1,000 reviews! Good sandwiches, friendly service are just to name a few. Bookmark and or try today!

Disappointing Experience Due to Food Safety Concern…read more I visited this restaurant on Wednesday for lunch. This was actually my second time dining here. My first visit was pleasant, which is why I decided to come back. This time, I ordered what I believe was the tri-tip steak wrap. As I was finishing the first half of my wrap, I noticed a dead fly in my food. Needless to say, I was shocked and immediately lost my appetite. I walked to the front and asked to speak with a manager. The cashier who helped me was very friendly and professional. I explained the situation to her, and she relayed it to the manager. While I do appreciate that they refunded my meal, what disappointed me most was the manager's response. He never came over to speak with me, apologize, or acknowledge the situation directly. From where I was standing, he appeared visibly disturbed when informed, but he simply instructed the cashier to issue a refund and never addressed me as the customer. I understand that mistakes happen and that it was a busy lunch rush. However, finding a fly in a meal is a serious food safety issue, and I believe a manager or owner should take a moment to personally speak with the customer, show concern, and offer an apology. A little empathy would have gone a long way. The refund was appreciated, but the lack of acknowledgment and customer care left a much stronger impression than the refund itself. Unfortunately, after this experience, I'm hesitant to return.

The food, service, and ambiance were all terrific and made for a comfortable, delicious experience we will be returning to soon. We had tried going there once before about 6 months ago, but the wait was too long for our schedule that day. Yesterday, our party of four showed up at 11, and the wait was only 10 minutes. Our server, Kristin, was amazing. She answered our questions perfectly and without hesitation; she was always there to refill iced tea and bring anything additional we needed - the service was flawless in every way. We were at a booth for four, and the booths are comfortable and clean. The layout of the restaurant is efficient, and perfect for the dining experience FSC is offering. And the food? Off the charts 5/5! I hadn't had pancakes in a long time, so I ordered the blueberry pancakes. The two pancakes were both massive and delicious. Fresh blueberries in the batter and on top, and they were perfectly ripe and flavorful. I can't envision anyone actually finishing all of it, but I was happy to take home leftovers. The pancakes were fluffy and light, among the best I have ever had. I also had a side of the house-cured bacon, which I requested crispy, and which arrived perfectly crispy and delicious. Mrs. K had the blue cheese burger and loved it. I was granted a taste, and I agreed. Juicy, prepared exactly as ordered, and served with exceptional fries that were crispy outside and soft inside. Our friends had various forms of eggs and bacon, including a dish FSC calls Beggin' For Bacon. The egg dishes looked perfect, and our friends confirmed they tasted as perfect as they looked. FSC gets a ton of 5-star reviews, and they deserve every one. We will be returning soon and often, and obviously, I highly recommend FSC for your next breakfast/lunch outing.

They do allow dogs to sit outside, and I did witness a doggy disagreement, so if you are dog averse maybe ask to be seated inside. The service is wonderful. They are very attentive and all look like they are hustling. It is a wonderful experience to know that they care about their customers. Drinks are constantly refilled, and they constantly check in on you in a non annoying way. The food is where I disagree with most of the reviews here. My first time there I got the corned beef and hash. The corned beef was great, the potatoes could be so much better though. They need to be crisp and well seasoned, they were neither. Maybe you can ask for them extra crispy? The next time I visited I had a BBQ chicken sandwich. The chicken was kinda dry, the sauce tasted good though. I also didn't like how it was assembled, it seemed kinda tossed on the bun and sent out. They are so busy here, and I wish they would just take a little extra time in the kitchen to make the food as great as the service. This is like a 3.5 star, with the great service and the decent food. Would I ever come here out of choice? Probably not. Would I throw up a big fuss if friends wanted to come here? Nah, I'd go without issue. Maybe I haven't found my meal here yet.

They did some renovation over this past winter; I know bc I tried stopping by and they were closed due to it. When I went this past time, the inside looked pretty much the same ( based on my bad/faulty memory). The patio was different bc one side is completely covered, and I noticed a pulldown screen and projector overhead. The menu seemed a bit different this time. No more meatball appetizer unfortunately. Our server was nice and attentive (this time and last). The food: - Spicy Caesar (Romaine, home-made spicy Caesar dressing, home-made croutons, parmesan shavings, cracked black pepper and salami crisps): good stuff. Not really a healthy salad but a tasty one. The croutons are nice and light (not unpleasantly crunchy). The dressing has a nice little kick to it. I'd recommend. - Helena pizza (House-made Italian sausage, salami, pepperoni, San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, pepperoncini, and Parmesan): the pizza crust here is the best in the greater Sacramento area. Hands down. It's so wonderfully light and chewy. I wish they'd use a bit more sauce on their pizzas as they eat a bit dry. And, I think some extra sauce would balance the saltiness of the toppings as well (and, the pizza does eat a bit too salty for my tastes). - Classic Pepperoni pizza (Pepperoni, San Marzano tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, parmesan cheese): similar experience as the Helena: stellar crust, not enough sauce, and a bit too salty. - Beer: they have a half dozen or so local brews on tap as well as a larger selection of cans/bottles, which include both local and macro brews. Thumbs up. Overall, this is a good pizza place that's worth checking out. I'm only knocking a star off bc the balance of sauce and toppings on the pizza was a bit off. But, I'd still go back!
