    Spring rolls
    Elizabeth B.

Today I got food to go from this place, and it was not nearly as good as I expected. First of all the fresh spring rolls with shrimp instead of a large prawn like most spring rolls, This had some tragic looking little. Shrimp in the bottom that were very suspicious to me. I didn't wanna eat them so I gave them to the dog. The chicken satay was very dry definitely overcooked and although the sticky rice with mango tasted good the presentation was really unattractive. You take a look at my picture and tell me what it looks like to you. I I did pick at a bit of it, but it was just so gross looking. I paid quite a bit of money for this food very disappointed.

Love everything we ordered from appetizers to the entrees..the best pad that ive tasted...i just wish we can order curry with no spice at all but they said they can only do mild but we will definitely come back id like to try their pineapple fried rice. Btw way not in the photo is mango sticky rice omg so good sweet and salty...

I appreciate the ability to order and pay online for my take out order. My only complaint was that utensils were not included with my order. I ordered the khao man gai, which was really good. The chicken was tender and I love the mildly spicy dipping sauce. I love that it came with a side of chicken broth. I would like to dine in on my next visit to try their other menu items.

This place did not miss!! The ambiance, the service and the taste!! FIRE all around. Probably the best meal I've ever eaten. We ordered the curry puff- outstanding, the moneybags-delightful, the Tom Kha-best I ever had, and the glass noodles which were loaded to perfection and tasted amazing! My husband and I shared everything and the portions and prices were 10/10.

Very interesting experience... honestly the food was good but the service really brought it down to a 2/3. I am not one to give bad reviews but the servers were super rude and took very long to serve us and never attended to us. We came on a Sunday Night and it was so hard to call staff, they looked like they didn't want to take our order and didn't even repeat the order to us & just left. They also seemed angry when we asked straws for our water. I would not come back here if service is like this

We had a ladies night out and chose this place. A couple oh is had been here previously, the other three had not. We started with spring rolls and money bags for appetizers. Yummy. We all chose different menu items for dinner - everyone enjoyed there it's and we all took leftovers home. I chose the wok meal with chicken, zucchini, mushrooms, cashews, peanut sauce and with blue rice (I had it last time and liked it). Service was great.

I came here because of the great Yelp reviews and was excited to try it, but honestly I was really disappointed. I ordered the vegan Pad See Ew and vegan Penang curry with sticky rice, both Thai spicy. The Panang curry was better than the noodles, but neither dish was actually spicy. For something marked Thai spicy, both were pretty mild and lacked the bold flavor I was expecting. The vegan Pad See Ew was the biggest letdown. It had a very overpowering mushroom taste, and some of the mushrooms seemed thick and undercooked, which made the dish hard to enjoy. The tofu also looked slightly burned. On top of that, the pickup experience felt rude. When I arrived, the lady at the table handed me my food and walked away without saying anything. Since it was my first time there, I stood by the door for about a minute unsure if that was my full order or if she was coming back, but she never did. Overall, I feel this place is overly hyped. I really wanted to like it, but based on this experience, I would not recommend it.

Came here for lunch. I don't know why, but almost every Thai place I've been to seems to taste very similar. I don't know if it's the coconut milk or other ingredients, but it's almost all the same to me. This restaurant also tastes similar, but, the staff are really nice. My food came out fresh and the curry was hot. I enjoyed the avocado spring rolls. I was going to get the mango, but the waitress recommended the avocado. I also got the shrimp, but the shrimp was kinda small. The peanut sauce was very good. I also like that they give you multiple options for rice. Price is on the higher side, but Thai food is generally expensive and the area itself is expensive.

We found this place on the way to Lake Tahoe and decided to give it a try. The menu had a wide variety of options including curry, noodles, and dessert. We got the pumpkin curry and drunken noodles. Serving was a bit slow and we waited for 20+ min after ordering to get our food. The pumpkin curry was creamy and a little sweet. We were curious about the blue rice on the menu so ordered it for the curry. The blue rice turned out to be coconut rice with a light hint of coconut, which was really refreshing. The drunken noodles were freshly made out of the wok and had a smoky taste that I really liked. Both came with generous portion. The restaurant was located in a large plaza with plenty of parking.

What went well the atmosphere the friendly service of the staff the owner was there stopped by and asked us how our food was. The food came out the way I expected to. It wasn't too oily the meat was tender. I can't say enough about this place. I drive 4 1/2 hours to get here for this incredible meal everything on the menu taste the way the pictures look incredible highly recommend this place to anybody that wants to try real food that's made fresh not from a can.

I put in an online order at 4:15 on mother's Day. They told me food world be ready at 4:45. The restaurant is only at half capacity. I waited till 6:25. There are around 12 people waiting too. I can see part of my food has been out for a while and it's likely cold. They are rearranging orders to try and meet the customers that are talking to them. Total kitchen breakdown. They could have at least asked if I wanted a water while I waited. They said they would give me a refund but never came back.

Steamed pork dumplings... these were hard and chewy. Absolutely not worth it

Can they make meals not spicy at all? My sister picked this restaurant for her birthday dinner. I can not eat anything spicy.

Yes! Just ask for no spice or level 0 😊

What brand of red curry paste do you use?

Are they allowing tips again? I remember they didn't have tipping for a while because they paid their staff well, however recently we've been seeing the tip section back on the recipe..not sure if things have changed.

    We left a tip!

What is everyone's favorite dish here - I love their chicken pad Thai but wanting to branch out and try something new?

    We love the yellow curry

I ordered the Pad Mee Kow or Drunken Noodles with Beef just based off Yelp photos. I don't normally order this dish, but it's the best I've had. Noodles intact and not stuck together. Lots of beef. Not the most tender meat, so maybe pork would be better. On my next lunch visit, I ordered Pad Ka Prow with Ground Pork & Brown Rice and a small Crystal Noodles Soup. You can choose a spice level from 1 (mild) to 5 (most spicy). I chose level 3, but I probably would be happier with level 1 or 2. Choice of jasmine rice or brown rice. I enjoyed the chewy texture and appearance of the brown rice. Pad Ka Prow is tasty. I loved the Crystal Noodles Soup. It's seasoned well with lots of ingredients, like chicken, wood ear mushrooms, and Napa cabbage. There are 5 different soups that you can order as a Small portion, including Tom Yum, Tom Kha, and Wonton Soup. I look forward to trying more soups. I liked the ambiance, pretty Thai decor, muted green dining room, and easy listening music, often love songs. Thai Basil would be a good restaurant for a date. Service was willing to answer my questions and identify dishes from photographs for me.

I had placed an order to go. I had no idea how expensive Thai food was. I think I got three different meals. I got an appetizer platter to try multiple things pad Thai and then something else that I don't remember the name of. I believe it's a family owned business and the daughter was the one who helped me. She was very sweet and I asked her for a suggestion on the appetizers. I believe she suggested green curry empanadas but I'm not 100% sure. I walked in and it definitely gave hole in the wall vibes. They had my food ready and were very kind. Everything came out to about $70 or $80. I did a food review. You can always check it out on my TikTok (wehave_hotwater) the food was good. I gave away a good amount of it because there was so much!! The chicken Penang curry was incredible, rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, with just the right balance of spice and sweetness. The chicken satay was perfectly grilled, tender, and paired with a peanut sauce that took it over the top. The fried tofu was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and so good with the dipping sauce. Every bite was a hit.
